Ok, you all have me worried about the Strawberry FE group. I haven't done all the comparing that others have done. I pulled my information from Sue's FE post. Is that not correct? :confused3

I just want to introduce myself. My name is Brenda, and I'm traveling with my husband Brian. We are from Wisconsin. We did the EBTA in 2007, and it was a lot of fun. This time we are looking forward to gaining hours instead of losing them due to the time changes. We love cruising.

I have some medical treatments before this cruise, and my dog is also having surgery on her mouth. Hopefully everything goes well. We are really looking forward to this vacation.

Brenda

Hi Brenda, nice to 'meet' you. I hope all the medical treatments go well so you can get ready for the vacation!!!!!

Hi, I hope you are all doing well.

I got some pretty flowers from my co-workers today and wishes for a speedy recovery http://twitpic.com/2ip38w

I also got good news from my doctor they got the report from pathology and as suspected the cyst was not cancerous. It was the largest cyst that my Dr. and his partner who assisted with the surgery have ever seen and were very surprised I was not having more symptoms. They drained about 2 and a half gallons of fluid from it and it had lots of blood vessels to it and that is why they kept me overnight at the hospital.

I am doing alright. I have some abdominal pain. I thought I might have a uti so I am on am antibiotic for that and drinking lots of liquids.

Excellent news about the interim results on your cyst. That was quite some size!! A lady in the opposite bed when I was in hospital in December had a massive cyst. She just looked 6 months pregnant. For many years she had been going to the doctors saying she had been trying to lose weight but it wasn't happening, but they weren't interested. She got used to people asking if she was pregnant. It grew so slowly that she sort of accepted any discomfort/feeling it gave her. Anyway it had started to move her internal organs around and her bowels were affected and she came in as an emergency. When they removed the cyst they had to get a big bucket to put it in!! Unfortunately I came home before she came back from theatre. I would have loved to see this slim beautiful lady!!!

Take care and recover well.

Welcome Brenda, may the fun begin in 2010
Best wishes on your dog.

Forgot to mention: I got a flu shot today and it included the H1N1 virus. Yay!

We are having a fairly big outbreak of H1N1 here in New Zealand - its going through the schools again like wildfire. We all had our flu shots back in May so we are safe but it seems like its still hanging around a bit.

The Mickey Ears are all spoken for....PJ, Paula, Corinna and Jason will all be wearing Golden 50th anniversary Mickey ears!

I'm so excited - I had a pair of Mickey Ears when I was a little girl but they fell apart and I haven't had a pair to wear since.

Just curious, am I the only one that takes my own pillow? :magnify:One year, on a different ship, the pillows were gross, even under the pillow case. I couldn't sleep on it and called housekeeping. They agreed the pillows were terrible and took them to bring back clean ones. They didn't return and we had to sleep without any pillows. Since then, I take my own.

I have a plush neck pillow that I've used a couple of times to prop up a hotel pillow. The hotel I'm in at the moment has a fairly firm mattress but at least the pillows are ok.

Just read this on AOL. Whoever suggested packing a set of underwear on long flights inorder to freshen up - here is another reason to carry a spare.
"Passengers on a British Airways flight got quite a scare when a pre-recorded announcement that the plane was about to make an emergency water landing was mistakenly triggered.

I think I'd need more than a change of undies - I would need CPR after that! I always take a spare set of underwear and socks to change halfway - just feels a bit fresher to change them, wash face, slap on more deodorant and pretend I've had a shower...

One time we were on a train in Paris to go back to London, and Patrick was about 10 or 11. Anyway, he got sick and threw up all over himself! :scared1:Of course, I didn't have a change of clothes, and our luggage was in the luggage car.

Last time we went to the US, Robert early into our flight got a tomato juice, which he promptly threw at me (he says it was an accident). The flight attendant hadn't even moved the trolley away so at least she was able to hand me some napkins but that was a long, sticky flight.

If anyone is renting a car from National Car Rental, be sure to check if they offer a free shuttle to the port. Last time, I booked National because their price was lower than others, but made up for it by having to take a taxi - no free shuttle.

Hertz, Budget and Thrifty all have free shuttles according to Mousesavers. Hertz is offsite at MCO apparently though so you'd need to allow a few extra minutes.

Keep posting Brenda and we'll seem like old friends in no time! This is a really friendly bunch!

Good luck for you and your furbaby!

I'm Paula, I live in New Zealand and I'm traveling with my DH (Robert) and my Mum (Marian).

I am doing alright. I have some abdominal pain. I thought I might have a uti so I am on am antibiotic for that and drinking lots of liquids.

Glad that you are doing ok and good news on the outcome!

I'm now a DIS Veteran, thanks to all my DISfriends on this WBTA thread!! Too bad Adam, DS10, is in bed. He keeps asking me how close I am!

Congratulations on your milestone :)

OK everyone I think the "Final" Version of the Navigator is ready. I can still update things like errors or people's room numbers but the main bulk of the writing should be accurate. Obviously we still don't have tasting dates but I think the rest is ready and Penny has done her magic to create the printable versions. She is working on the Digital version for those wanting that but below are the versions. One of them is if you have a printer that can do Duplux prints and two are for those people with single sided printing where you need to reload the paper once you do one side.

Duplux Dis Version

Non Duplux Odd Pages

Non Duplux Even Pages

Oh and again if people can't access them please pm me your email addy and Ill send you a copy

I am so very way behind, but thank you so much for this Sarah. I've read them and you did such a good job. Bravo!!!:goodvibes:goodvibes:thumbsup2

:welcome: Brenda & Brian!!!

Hope the medical interventions go well for you and your dog... Roll on the cruise!!! :goodvibes

Since you ask about updates. I mentioned this yesterday but don't know if I should PM someone. On the Pirates Sailin' th' Trans-Atlantic the Strawberry FE has only 8 cabins noted, all of them have a cabin number assigned. On the Sept18 2010 WB TransAltlantic (this thread) on page 1, the Strawberry FE group has 14 cabins in it and most of them show GTY still. So I am listed on this thread but as GTY not 6606 but not on the Pirates web at all in the FE area.
I am confused.. I'm in the Strawberry FE exchange and have 13 staterooms listed (including myself) all with numbers...

That's good news! Sending plenty of PD for your continued recovery... pixiedust:

Thanks to all the offers of having my missing shirts shipped to other cruisers' addresses and bringing them to the ship for me! I spoke with Zazzle this morning and they are resending the shirts and valbob89 will be bringing them to us in Barcelona!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Michael
Nice one!!! :thumbsup2

The list on the first page is correct, except take off QueenMum and Tinkrules. Poohbear926 said she is supposed to be in the strawberry group, also. She has two in her cabin.
So that would take the total up to 14, I think...?

Good morning ...... today's announcement is especially dedicated to Karen aka custardtart !!!!

WE NOW HAVE ONLY 3 WEEKS TO GO UNTIL WE BOARD THE DISNEY MAGIC !!!!!

:dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3:
:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Why thank you!!!! I think!!!! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Congrats on your new status, Andrea!!! :goodvibes

That's the same info as I've been using, Monica. The only exception is that Tink Rules/Queen Mum aren't joining us.

I haven't got Poohbear926 on my list so would appreciate those details... :thumbsup2

ETA: I've done a little research and found this:
Poohbear926: Stateroom #7134. Lindsay & Mum, Bev.

Also I did notice that DizzneyDAnn wanted to join in the FE - that would take the Strawberry group up to a perfect 15... :thumbsup2

From the cruise website "Guests who purchase a specialty coffee mug—available in Cove Café and other shops onboard—are entitled to a complimentary coffee in Cove Café."
Is this a good deal - Should we do it - What's it like ?

Two weeks next Saturday.
See you all Then
Jane & Dave

Thanks to Penny an electronic version of the Navigator is also available. Here you go

Electronic version

Fantastic, thanks PJ and Sarah. What a lot of very hard work.

Well it will only be 1 free coffee, which would be up to $3 or so I suppose, which we would knock off the cost of the mug, but it seems a great way to get a mug to have for drinks.

I didn't know about the mug before. We do get the card for buy 5(I think) and get one free.

OK appologies trying to catch up without being able to multiquote so expect lots of posts!

Good luck with the treatments! I was on the EBTA in 2007 too!

I think that the lists on here are more accurate than the website at the moment. I am on the Pomegrante group here and yet on the website I'm not so I would work from here as I think there's a glitch. I have pm'd Sue about it so she is aware of the issue

POMEGRANTE PEOPLE I am still in your group so please don't forget me lol

I love the HP books; have read all of them numerous times. And as for Wicked, I did finish it but it almost felt painful. I just don't know what the big deal is with that story. Not my thing, I guess :confused3.

I think this is why I'm struggling! Its so hard to read! The Musical is fab but the book I find hard work!

If someone who has a 1st/2nd page post could add this url for the ical calendar file, that would be great.

You can view/subscribe to the calendar at:
http://ical.me.com/pdegeer/WBTA ACTIVITIES
To learn more about iCal, go to http://www.apple.com/ical

If you use Google calendar, here is a method for using an ical file in google calendar;
To add a calendar using its address, follow these steps:
1. At the bottom of the calendar list on the left, click the Add down-arrow button and select Add by URL.
2. Find the address of the Google Calendar in iCalendar format, or if you have the iCalendar address of a calendar from a different application (for example, Apple's iCal), you can use this as well.
3. Enter the address in the field provided.
4. Click Add Calendar. The calendar will appear in the Other Calendars section of the calendar list to the left.

Pj

If no one else has added it by the time I get to the last page of catch up Ill add it in! Oh just noticed Noel had! YEAH!

I like James Patterson also. I bought When The Wind Blows today due to everyone talking about it. I am looking forward to meeting everyone. I'm a little shy about posting. On another cruise board people can be mean, but everyone here seems really nice. See all of you soon.

Brenda

Get well soon, you have a crusie to go on!!!!!!!!!
OK....3 weeks from right now we should almost be half way to Barcelona....we leave on the 5:40 P.M. out of JFK.....8 hours plus over....so DW and I were talking at dinner....when we get to Barcelona it will be 8 in the morning....but we will feel like it is 2 a.m.! Hopefully we can get 3 or 4 hours sleep on the plane but I for one just seem to nod off and on when we fly although this will be a longer plane ride than I have ever taken....than God I have the aisle seat so it will be easier to get to the bathroom.....cannot believe it is 3 weeks away....Only 17 more working days for me!
See you guys real soon!
Tom & Marilou
Isnt it great talking about cruise stuff over dinner, esp when its now so close.

I have been unable to verify if the gym will be opened or closed while we are sailing. I read a rumor on here and wonder if anyone was able to verify it?

Is anyone shipping anything over? I was considering shipping it o the hotel. Any thoughts?

No rumour:confused3 no reason why gym should not be open.
