Just wanted to share a slideshow of the 2008 EBPC cruise from LA to Orlando.

That TOAL (Trip of a Lifetime) as we nicknamed it had a similar feel to this thread. Many of us connected and have remained friends over time. Some of us on this cruise are on here, Monica, Me, Paula, Cpt, just to name a few. I challenge you to look for any familiar faces. :laughing: Its long but I believe we will have the same "Magic" pixiedust: on this cruise.

Let's hope it works.

Hallelujah - its worked! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

A big thanks to Kimberly for giving this techno geek instructions! :love:

:blush: For those that don't know me - DH (Steve) and I open the show. Thanks Mike! :blush:
Thanks for sharing I hope we have the time of our lives too.:dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3: Very nicely done. I loved it.:love:

Good morning ...... today's announcement is especially dedicated to Karen aka custardtart !!!!

WE NOW HAVE ONLY 3 WEEKS TO GO UNTIL WE BOARD THE DISNEY MAGIC !!!!!

:dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3:
:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I'm so excited and so not ready. Today I must find a tiara, reorder a MMC shirt, get over the sticker shock of the patches that I had the doctor order justin case:scared1::scared1:, pack my carryon, iron on my transfers, make up gift tags for my fe, decide on a final packing list, finish my daily clothes spreadsheet, and find my golden ears! I sure hope I didn't leave them in my owners locker!!!

Happy Saturday!! See you all in 3 weeks!!:dance3::dance3::dance3:

Mrs Mork and I are sympatico! Great minds think alike!

Remember way back when when I thought that my FE gift was the bees' knees? Well Mrs Mork must agree! Everyone in my FE groups will be getting some little cards to hand out of their own. The rest of the FE will be a surprise, though!

I just want to introduce myself. My name is Brenda, and I'm traveling with my husband Brian. We are from Wisconsin. We did the EBTA in 2007, and it was a lot of fun. This time we are looking forward to gaining hours instead of losing them due to the time changes. We love cruising.

I have some medical treatments before this cruise, and my dog is also having surgery on her mouth. Hopefully everything goes well. We are really looking forward to this vacation.

Brenda

Hi Brenda,
I am glad that you have decided to join us. This is a wonderful, kind and supportive group and I can't wait to meet everybody in person.

I hope that everything that needs to be taken care of before you go will go well.

Hi, I hope you are all doing well.

I got some pretty flowers from my co-workers today and wishes for a speedy recovery http://twitpic.com/2ip38w

I also got good news from my doctor they got the report from pathology and as suspected the cyst was not cancerous. It was the largest cyst that my Dr. and his partner who assisted with the surgery have ever seen and were very surprised I was not having more symptoms. They drained about 2 and a half gallons of fluid from it and it had lots of blood vessels to it and that is why they kept me overnight at the hospital.

I am doing alright. I have some abdominal pain. I thought I might have a uti so I am on am antibiotic for that and drinking lots of liquids.

Welcome Brenda and good luck with all of your medical procedures.

That is great news that it was just a cyst, but it sounds like it was huge. Still, once you are all healed up, you can hopefully forget about it.

Thanks to all the offers of having my missing shirts shipped to other cruisers' addresses and bringing them to the ship for me! I spoke with Zazzle this morning and they are resending the shirts and valbob89 will be bringing them to us in Barcelona!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Michael

I am glad that you managed to get this sorted.

Looks very comfy, especially with the crocs

It is definitely comfy. I managed to get sunburned quite badly and this was just about the only thing that did not rub on my sunburn. I had not noticed that you could see the Crocs in this photo until you pointed it out.

Corinna - I just got mine today!!

Thanks for letting me know. Three more sets of kits have now arrived. I started to lose the will to live. Lets hope that the rest of them get to their destination very quickly now.

I am bringing small magnets as my FE gifts. Now I'm worried that I might not be able to bring them on the plane. Should I put some in each of our checked bags and some in each of our carry-on bags?

Yes, I would spread them out if you can.

We got ours and thank you for the offer to meet at a different time if needed.

Thanks for letting me know that yours have safely arrived.

Is anyone shipping anything over? I was considering shipping it o the hotel. Any thoughts?

I was kind of torn between shipping to the hotel or to the ship. I have decided to ship to the ship. Our one day in Barcelona is going to be quite hectic and we will not get back to the hotel until quite late and I really do not want to start unpacking and repacking the stuff then.

I arrived home to find some awesome pixie dust waiting for me from our lovely Corinna! When I first signed up for the jewelry workshop, I mentioned that I hoped to learn how to fix some necklaces of my DD's that I'd either broken, or was afraid they were about to break. Corinna kindly offered to restring the necklaces for me. She sent them back with my beads, etc. for the workshop and they look awesome. But she also included some pixie dust in the package, in the form of two beautiful floating bead necklaces, one pink themed, and the other blue themed! Be sure to look out for them on our cruise! Thanks so much for going the extra mile to help my DD (and me, who broke one of the necklaces on our last cruise) out!

I am glad everything arrived safely.

The necklaces that I added are the same style that we are going to do in the workshops.

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I am so looking forward to this. Part of me can't wait, but part of me is having a bit of a panic as I have so much still to do. I think I have to give in and do a list of things that I need to do and just do a little bit every day.

It doesn't work for me :sad2: Says the video is unavailabe due to privacy settings !!

I have the same problem.

I am owing a number of people PMs. I am not ignoring you and I will reply to you by the end of today. I am heading for the gym shortly, but once I get back, I will work through my inbox.

Corinna

I like James Patterson also. I bought When The Wind Blows today due to everyone talking about it. I am looking forward to meeting everyone. I'm a little shy about posting. On another cruise board people can be mean, but everyone here seems really nice. See all of you soon.

Brenda

Oh we're lovely here!:goodvibes lol honestly everyone has been really nice to me that's for sure....welcome!:flower3:

Cool idea - I wonder if it will be a nice enough mug for a souvie? I do love my coffee and those little dinky mugs are too small. I even bought Starbucks Via coffee to add to the room service coffee which is too weak for us.

If someone who has a 1st/2nd page post could add this url for the ical calendar file, that would be great.

You can view/subscribe to the calendar at:
http://ical.me.com/pdegeer/WBTA ACTIVITIES
To learn more about iCal, go to http://www.apple.com/ical

If you use Google calendar, here is a method for using an ical file in google calendar;
To add a calendar using its address, follow these steps:
1. At the bottom of the calendar list on the left, click the Add down-arrow button and select Add by URL.
2. Find the address of the Google Calendar in iCalendar format, or if you have the iCalendar address of a calendar from a different application (for example, Apple's iCal), you can use this as well.
3. Enter the address in the field provided.
4. Click Add Calendar. The calendar will appear in the Other Calendars section of the calendar list to the left.

Thanks so much!

Isn't it great? I really need to get packing. Everything is sat exactly where I left it two weeks ago. Maybe today! Unfortunately work is full-tilt right now - I'm finally off-call 3 days before we leave. Until then it's full days and some nights, 7 days a week. It's a good thing I love my job.

Tru is moving in 3 days! We are so excited, but poor her. She's understandably stressed and busy. Today she's heading over with some plants to transplant from her garden (which is absolutely gorgeous, complete with koi pond, vegetable garden, and beautiful over-the-top roses and other flowers). Her new house ---> will need her green thumb in the worst way. Please send her nice, calming thoughts to help her on her journey. I know she'll be missing my Dad something fierce over the next few days - they were a real romance couple. He only died coming up on 4 years ago this fall.

Pretty soon we'll all be meeting each other face to face - eek! Looking forward to it, really, just need to swallow my nervousness and jump in, right?

Gotta run to down the rest of my cappucino and start cleaning up so keep up the charade with my mom that we aren't total slobs in her absence.

Oh God with all the rain last week I bet they were black! 3 weeks now we should still be at the Dis meet!

I had totally forgotten about this. I went to a supermarket near the office earlier in the week and they had travel sizes of sunscreen and deodorant so I picked up some of this. I also have travel size tooth paste and showergel. So all I need to take in full size is the aftersun.

Thanks for the info, Mandy - I shall impress on DH that he keeps on an eye on the Sky Planner at all times!!! :teeth: 'Bones' is on Sky 1 and they tend to show around the same time as in the US... :thumbsup2 Love, love, love 'Criminal Minds'... :goodvibes

Will be sending positive, calming thoughts to your mum for the coming days :hug:
Think there will be lots of us swallowing that nervousness!:thumbsup2

You could say that Sarah!:thumbsup2 Glad I'd only cleaned downstairs yesterday...the bathroom will need a thorough clean after their visit today!! We did get them to leave all their muddy wellies outside though.....:rolleyes1

I'm really hoping we can set it all up before we go....Grey's Anatomy, CM, Bones and The Big Bang Theory.........:thumbsup2

Well I am so pleased. Normally for me to get a bathing suit that looks any where half decent on me I have to go on a few day's shopping trips and try on loads. This time I have been brave and ordered online at 2 different online stores, just one suit each shop, and they both fit and look pretty good too, for me anyway. So, I'm :) about that. They are both skirted suits so perhaps that makes a difference.

Wish I could say the same for my bra hunt though.:rotfl2::rotfl2: Plus I haven't embarked on the shapewear trek. Could keep me busy till we leave.;)

Has anyone mentioned that the DOD's are cheaper before noon?:laughing: not that I know....Just saying.

Can't believe I didn't know that!!!!:cool1:
I also think that Mimosa's are 2 for 1 at the bar by the adult pool before midday - I like me 2 pre-midday Mimosas... :lovestruc

Good for you!!! :cool1: I'm almost sorted with FEs and my toiletries. Feeling quietly confident. Probably a mistake... ;)

My DS, Samuel was supposed to be playing there this year in one of the outlying tents BUT he and his band had creative differences earlier in the year and split. He doesn't seem himself today - I wonder if that's why..? Oh the joy of being 17... :rolleyes:

This time in 3 weks we'll be onboard!!!:banana::banana::banana:

LOL! We were meant to go to the Rewind Festival this weekend in Henley. I think we made a good decision last month selling the tickets! Even with the dry day today for most of the UK, the ground is going to be so wet and the thought of camping in that doesn't appeal!

Awesome video Laura. I'm going to watch it again with Lindsay. I felt like I was there with you.

Today, I'm going to start fitting on my clothes to see what fits, doesn't fit, what I still need to buy.

Can't wait to meet everyone.

good morning all! Now you all have me concerned about fish extender groups! I hope there haven't been any changes to Kiwi since ours are all made and packed already!! :thumbsup2

Jason and I got up early today.....I am DONE with cheerleading until after the cruise (HOORAY!!) so I actually have this weekend to myself....and we made our masks for villain night masquerade ball. They're quite fun if I do say so myself....we are putting the final touches on our door magnets (and we're going to have like 50 total ourselves----although most of them are laminated pieces of paper with a very thin weak magnet less than inch square in each corner----so I'm hoping we won't have issues flying with them...we've always made tons of magnets for trips before and carried them without incident).

It's 10am and I have my hair appt at noon, too....so in just a few hours I will have no more hair!!:scared1:
