Sept 18 2010 WB TransAtlantic Pirates/Capt Jacks Re-Repoing Repossession Cruise Pt.9

Last weekend before vacation. Much still to do. Doing a call early in the morning with my cruisemate to finalize Barcelona & Rome. Then getting my hair trimmed and then my last minute shopping. Then to get everything packed. I am also going to start taking Airborne (I know it is not proven to work, but I have to do what I can to help not to get sick).

I am planning on trying to get up earlier each day this week. So by next weekend I hope to be on Eastern time so it will not be as much of a time change when I get to Barcelona.

....I got home from cheerleading tonight (last night before the trip...THANK HEAVENS!! What an exhausting summer!!) and I have a letter informing me I have been summoned for Jury duty beginning on Sept. 20th! now that is one more thing I have to deal with before the trip....have to call them tomorrow and let them know there's no chance!

LOL I got one too for the same date! I need to move it still. Could not believe it when I got the mail the other day.

page 1 of this thread is currently more up to date than the website in relation to the Strawberry FE group, and the candy swap. Not everyone had registered on teh website, so I couldn't simply make changes. Then, with the addition of the excursions to the site last weekend we didn't want to take the DB off like to make the 20 or so changes.

Glenn and I have been beyond busy this past week. In addition normal work for both of us, Glenn is trying to spin down what he has on his plate; while I am effectively starting to work at my new job while still working at the old one. (Good thing it is all within the same company!) Unfortunately I will not be able to start handing off any of the new job until the day we leave and then, because the new position is part of a major departmental org change, it will be a heres my stuff, don't try and call... Top work off with The kiddos... Gymnastics Monday night, cheer on Tues and Thurs, wrestling is about to start for Stephen and then there is the leadership group at the YMCA fo rhim on Monday nights as well...

Needless to say, we are both really looking forward to this trip!! So, please bear with us as we catch up a bit this weekend!

Sue - I feel so bad that you might think I was critizing all the wonderful work you and Glenn have done on the sites. I really wasn't! It is just I had believed I had seen updates to the FE lists, with cabin numbers and thought the site was acting up. A number of us noticed the site was unresponsive yesterday and we received an odd message from the webmaster. We so appreciate all you have both done in addition to getting ready for your cruise, working and keeping your up with your families daily needs. val

Hi, I hope you are all doing well.

I got some pretty flowers from my co-workers today and wishes for a speedy recovery http://twitpic.com/2ip38w

I also got good news from my doctor they got the report from pathology and as suspected the cyst was not cancerous. It was the largest cyst that my Dr. and his partner who assisted with the surgery have ever seen and were very surprised I was not having more symptoms. They drained about 2 and a half gallons of fluid from it and it had lots of blood vessels to it and that is why they kept me overnight at the hospital.

I am doing alright. I have some abdominal pain. I thought I might have a uti so I am on am antibiotic for that and drinking lots of liquids.

Attention Jewellery Making People

Can I just ask you again to let me know when your kits arrive. At the moment there seem to be 11 packages MIA, three of which were mailed on August 16th (2 to USA and one to Canada) and the remaining ones were mailed on August 17th (one to Australia, two to Canada and 5 to USA). The ones that have arrived in the USA all took 6 days and we are well over this by now. Looks like Royal Mail hired a slow donkey to transport out packages.

Great calendar! But the dates for Torola and St. Maarten seem to be reversed -- I think we're in St. Maarten on September 28th (this is our wedding anniversary, so it's stuck in my head that we're in St. Maarten that day - LOL!), and then on the 29th, we're in Tortola.

Just got back home from the most recent business trip. It was hard to keep up, as I was up working until 1am one night, and 3:30am the next night. Needless to say, last night I went to bed at 9pm! (Of course that meant I was up at 3am and 5am this morning, but I did at least get a workout in before heading to the office.) I get 2 whole days at home before heading out again on Monday. At some point I hope to find time to get ready for this trip, or I may enlist DH to do the preparations for me!

I arrived home to find some awesome pixie dust waiting for me from our lovely Corinna! When I first signed up for the jewelry workshop, I mentioned that I hoped to learn how to fix some necklaces of my DD's that I'd either broken, or was afraid they were about to break. Corinna kindly offered to restring the necklaces for me. She sent them back with my beads, etc. for the workshop and they look awesome. But she also included some pixie dust in the package, in the form of two beautiful floating bead necklaces, one pink themed, and the other blue themed! Be sure to look out for them on our cruise! Thanks so much for going the extra mile to help my DD (and me, who broke one of the necklaces on our last cruise) out!

I think we had to be off by 9 last time as they wanted to take it straight to dry dock!

I think 9am is the time you have to be off by for every cruise, regardless of whether it's going to drydock or not! We're usually ones to arrive at the port at 9:30am, so we're coming in while the last stragglers are still clearing out.

Noel, I like my Kindle very much. I always use it with the cover so I have more of the feeling of holding a book. I love that Amazon has free books as well, and have downloaded more than a few of them. I also love that you can simply put a cursor to a word and the dictionary definition appears. Of course I've never used a Nook or iPad, so take my review for what it's worth.

I've been using the Kindle for Blackberry application for several months. My DH finally took pity on my, and ordered me the newest Kindle for my birthday. It hasn't shipped yet but we're hopeful it will still arrive before the cruise!

It's open (or at least we have absolutely no knowledge that it would be closed.) There was a misunderstanding that led to that rumor.

Just wanted to share a slideshow of the 2008 EBPC cruise from LA to Orlando.

That TOAL (Trip of a Lifetime) as we nicknamed it had a similar feel to this thread. Many of us connected and have remained friends over time. Some of us on this cruise are on here, Monica, Me, Paula, Cpt, just to name a few. I challenge you to look for any familiar faces. Its long but I believe we will have the same "Magic" on this cruise.

Let's hope it works.

try viewing it from my profile. Its on there. I couldn't see the first slideshow for over a year and then I upgraded my dino computer and uninstalled a program which then let me see it. But I had missed it for the whole first year.
