I will be at the gym bright and early most days, actually I mind now I have booked a personal trainer, I booked it thinking I would think about it and cancel it if i changed my mind but I forgot to think about it.

any body done this?????
No but I have booked a couple of sessions this trip. Not bright and early tho' - don't really do 'bright and early'..

I have not done the personal trainer on the ship, but if you actually do it, I would be very interested to hear all about your experience. :goodvibes
My initial one is booked for the 1st At Sea day so I'll keep you posted...

We should add that to our cruise website: gym buddy sign-ups!
Good idea!!!

I'm doing alright, my abdominal muscles are pretty sore but I know it could be worse.

I hope you are all doing well.
Glad to hear it - hope the soreness eases asap... :goodvibes

Good morning everyone .... I am so behind wth these posts now I doubt if I will ever catch up :sad2::sad2::sad2: Work is really getting in the way right now !!! This weekend we are busy as I am working 12 hours on Saturday and we have a wedding on Sunday. Have loads of pre-cruise stuff still to do and hope to catch up next week :wizard::wizard: Hope I haven't missed anything major !!!!
That IS busy, Sarah!!! You'll catch up eventually - tho' nothing seems to stop the time from RACING by at the moment!!! I can't believe it's TWO WEEKS tomorrow!!!

Anyway, I've got the gym at midday so it'll soon be time to get ready - tho' maybe I can sneak another coffee in first...?

You cruising a week before the rest of us Karen? :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

It's 3 weeks tomorrow !!! Mind you, you did scare me for a moment there !!!

So we have the same favourite dress and some of the same favourite books. Maybe we are long lost sisters

Corinna

I reckon that's true!:thumbsup2

This trip I am determined to pack my trainers.... AND put them on!!! Never managed it before.

me too!:thumbsup2

We should add that to our cruise website: gym buddy sign-ups!

great idea!:goodvibes

Mandy and Corrina, I know you are asleep, but I will have to look up those James Patterson books you were talking about. If you want to read any, and I have room, I have quite a few, hardbacks, just let me know and you can keep them. Like I said, they look nice in my bedroom, but so much better when people are actually enjoying them, Good Night!!

I would love to read them Sandi, but really don't use up your packing space!!! SHoes and clothes are far more important!:thumbsup2

That is exactly what it is. It is most certainly not an affinity for chips and beer.

no......or chocolate!:rotfl2:

I got our jewelry kits.

Take good care of yourself Becky

Mandy, how is Becca doing? You and she have been on my mind lately. I've also got a daughter who is suffering in the same way. It's just torture when you know there's not a lot you can do besides giving them your love and support. Hang in there; it will get better.

Bless you, it's so kind of you to care. You're right, it's torture. Right now she's not too bad, she's camping out at a music festival.....in the rain! She's just popped home to dry off (luckily its not far from us)....al her belongings are drenched, including her sleeping bag! I was hoping this might buck her up a bit too....:rolleyes1
The next few weeks will be hard for her though while she comes off one lot of meds and starts another....:guilty:

Me too, there is such a bunch of posers in the gym.......... at least out running it just me and the dog

I'm lucky I can go the gym in the daytime when the lycra gang aren't around so much.....I just grit my teeth and ignore the rest.......plus I am so short sighted I don't see them!:thumbsup2

It didn't do much good TBH!!!

I only realised the mistake when I was at the gym and my trainer asked what date I was going. As we haven't had the August Bank Holiday yet, I knew tomorrow couldn't be September 4th... :rolleyes1

So glad to see Erik again on the boards!!!

If there were any to back out of FE, let me know, and we'll kick in. : )

I feel the sameway. Planned a last minute trip to Tobermory for 10 people to do some diving for two days. Left at 5 am Monday morning, drove 5 hours, did 3 dives, slept for 5 hours, did 3 more dives, drove for 5 hours and back home at 8:30pm on Tuesday then back to work on Wednesday.

7 shifts for me !!!!! :yay::yay::yay:

:banana:3 shifts for me:banana:

Hope everyone is doing well, I'll have to catch up at somepoint.

Jon

In the 1960's we called them "hot pants".
HotPantsMiniSkirt.jpg

Yeah thats what i called them yesterday while fitting them on haha but in difference in those days it looked good these days they dont look so good with them being all cut up like it looks like they just took a pair of jeans and cut them no hems or anything. they might look good on some people (size 0) but im not one of them unless its being worn under something so they cant be seen.

9 Days and counting:eek::eek:

You would think after 2 years of knowing this day may come I would be more organized ....out of 7 bags we will be checkin in only 2 are fully packed and ready and that doesnt even count me costume bag which is usually first to be packed ...(had to make adjustments after the 30 pound weightloss since the last time I wore it lol ) This is going to be a busy weekend and coming week ....

Its getting close

TAKE WHAT YOU CAN !!!!!!!

Just curious, am I the only one that takes my own pillow? :magnify:One year, on a different ship, the pillows were gross, even under the pillow case. I couldn't sleep on it and called housekeeping. They agreed the pillows were terrible and took them to bring back clean ones. They didn't return and we had to sleep without any pillows. Since then, I take my own.

I apologize in advance if this might have been posted before:

I know about the usual things to pack but some people bring not so common items that are useful and great like the over the door shoe organizers; highlighters to mark the Navigator; sticky note pads to leave notes for the cabin steward. What are other useful items that you bring?

My car is a 2002 Honda Civic. It passed with one problem - BRAKES! LOL!!!!! I needed new brakes...what can I say? :lmao:

We had a Camry that was the same. Worked beautifully, but the brakes always were a problem. We did get 320,000 miles from it though (and it was still running when we gave it away).

I'm not even 100% sure my mature prince will notice me!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I bet he does ;), unless he has the same problem as poor Dennis.

I used to have to get up at 4:30 a.m. when I commuted to northern VA; now I get up when I like. Bright and early doesn't really figure anymore ;).

Perhaps this is a quirk, but we always take foaming anti-bacterial pump soap for the bathroom in our stateroom. I detest washing my hands with a bar of soap. There is just something icky about that to me. I will if I have to if that's my only option, but until Disney puts soap dispensers in the stateroom bathrooms, I pack pump soap!

I also pack anti-bacterial wipes, and the first thing I do when entering our room for the first time is wipe down the remote, all light switches, the menu book. Anything that isn't wiped down and disinfected regularly.

I am not a normal germophobe, but I'm healthy as a horse at home usually, and about a week into the cruise, I always manage to come down with something. I love Disney cruises, because there is always a kid to press the elevator buttons for me (another thing I won't touch on a cruise ship!). :scared1:

I bet he does ;), unless he has the same problem as poor Dennis.

:rotfl: Hopefully poor Dennis will be seeing fine after Monday. Now whether he will notice his aging princess or not is a

I used to have to get up at 4:30 a.m. when I commuted to northern VA; now I get up when I like. Bright and early doesn't really figure anymore ;).

Same here, no bright and earlies for us anymore. But, the eye clinic called and said poor Dennis has to be there at 6:30 am on Monday. So, I guess I will have to set an alarm for that day. We can just think of it as practice for our flight out of Spokane on Sept 13 which leaves at 6:20 am.

I made the thank you business cards yesterday!! I made 10 that have Captain Mickey on them and say Thank you for making our journey magical, for CMs on the cruise and I made 30 that have Mickey holding out a flower that say Thank you for the magical moment. Those we can use at WDW as well as on the ship. I love making CMs smile :goodvibes
