You can take the 0905 train from Barcelona Plaça Catalunya that gets to the Sant Sadurní d'Anoia station at 0952 (if it's on time) or you could take the 0835 train that gets there at 0922. Freixenet is directly across from the train station, so you don't have to worry about extra time when you arrive. It's the Renfe train (tren), line (línea) R4, and will be marked as either Vilafranca del Penedés or Sant Vicenç de Calders.

I'm not sure about the price but I believe it's only about €3 each.

Michael, Thank you so much! I tried a number of times and searched the web for instructions but you had it right away. Thanks again. Val

It is quiet here today. Is everyone packing? Last minute shopping? Making magnets? Or....did folks get a life outside the DIS? :surfweb: We still have just a bit of shopping to do. I need a slip for my semi formal suit and Dennis needs a couple of new dress shirts. Then that is all.....I think.

Oh, and mentionables. We both need a few more mentionables so I won't have to do laundry. We can send pants and shirts out to be laundered, but I have issues with the mentionables being washed and folded by strangers. :confused3:rotfl:

I hope they get this temperamental site sorted soon. One minute the posts come up straight away, the next it can take 5 minutes.

I was blaming my computer for being so slow, are you having trouble too? Must be the dis, then. Connie

I bought business card paper and Dennis still needs to print up some thank yous to hand out to CMs both on the ship and at WDW. That is such a fun thing to do. A CM helping us onto the DCL bus actually cried when we gave her one. Guess not many people take the time to actually say thank you. :sad2:

Sending updates on Madeira tour. Answering emails and PM's about the tour. Answering questions about the St Maarten tour. Finalizing Pins lists. In between, checking my lists to see if I need to shop for anything else!!

I was going to respond when I realized you got an answer already. But if it makes you feel any better, when we went in 2007, we found the tickets in Plaza Catalunya station. So easy. You won't miss it.
Believe me, this makes me feel a little more secure. I just have to figure out how to get to the Barceloneta station from our hotel then shoot over to the rail station.

I have send everyone how has orderd a pin a PM, so if you don't had one please let me now.
Connie

Should be fine with the Terminal or the 3pm DIS meet.

The only life I have outside the Dis(and other such boards) seems to be Marks and Spencer and spending money!!!!

Mentionables. I have quite a few now, just the shapewear to get.

DIS sometimes is slow for me but not too much.

Anyone else refuse to do mani/pedi's on the ship? I just got back from my first 2-week OPI manicure (gel nails or whatever they're called). It's my trial run to see what they look like in 2.5 weeks so I know whether I can handle it for the cruise.

Me too!

On Holland America, we send out our laundry all the time. It's lovely ... it comes all folded and wrapped in tissue paper in a wicker basket. Anyway, one cruise, Mike and I got back someone's stained, ripped, big girl underpants. You know ... that pair. I turned them back into our room steward saying that they weren't ours, carefully wrapped back up in the tissue paper of course. I then imagined them going from room to room trying to find someone to claim that hot mess. I learned very quickly not to send anything out that I wouldn't be embarrassed to have delivered to someone else's cabin!

Thanks again, Noel. Do you think DCL is looking for a new Shorex Manager?! You'd be a great fit. :)

Just wanted to say a very BIG thank you to everyone who has sent their good wishes to Becky (and I). Hopefully all these bucket loads of pixie dust will soon start to work their magic.....

Continued good thoughts!

Good morning all!

Having a bit of quiet time with y'all before I start the day.

While you are all packing, I've done some unpacking: I'm reading the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon (published in the UK as 'Cross Stitch' I think) and just eating it up. I had to go get the 5th book out of my carry-on, as I am enjoying it so much! I still have the 6th book packed, and Tru has the 7th book packed - hopefully that will be enough. Anyone else like this book series?

I have never heard of this series. I am totally going to have to check it out. I am still in the midst of the Millenium triology. But I have been looking for stuff to download on my Kindle before the cruise.

That was good, Andrea! Thanks for sharing!

.....this Day has gotten even better.....Helens son Seans immigration case has been expedited....which means he will finally be with us in Vegas 1 or 2 days after we get back from the cruise ..:banana: -

Today has been a great day and I thank all of you for the well wishes and thank God for watching over us , he has done some amazing things in my life and he never fails me when I need him most ....:littleangel:

pirate:

Awesome!!! Helen will never be so excited to get off the ship! Thanks to God!

:love::love:

I will be escorting my princess to dinner that night also.
I hope I don’s let her down that night by turning into a frog, pumpkin, or something of that nature. That midnight thing can get tricky..

I love that woman….:love::love::love:

Joe

:cloud9: How sweet is Joe?!! I smell a new DIS workshop coming on!

It is quiet here today. Is everyone packing? Last minute shopping? Making magnets? Or....did folks get a life outside the DIS? :surfweb: ....

PACKING!!! It's unbelievable, but I would say I'm about 85% complete! :woohoo: This will never happen again this early, so I'm noting it here! Mind you I still have some action items to tend to, some of which will take a little time, but I'm feeling really good. There are just two things that I cannot find for the life of me. My Gorilla Pod and my really nice over-the-door organizer, which I know pulled out to pack about 3 weeks ago, have just evaporated. I'm also pleased to report that my long formal black and white gown I showed you a couple of weeks ago fit into a Travel Space Bag! So the built-in crinoline is nicely compacted!

The really sad confession is that as I've been pulling things together, I found stuff from my last cruise 2 years ago that I either thought I lost (like a back-up pair of eye glasses I used for some excursions and a watch) or forgot I even purchased while on-board. :upsidedow The good news is I already have a Castaway Cay souvenir t-shirt for this cruise! :rotfl:

Oh! One more thing. I went on a PacSafe shopping frenzy last weekend, and it has all arrived. I ordered the DigiSafe for my digital camera, the CarrySafe for my camcorder, and the CoverSafe Travel Wallet to keep my passport and cash against my body. I love all three of these products! I really disliked the JVC strap I had for the camcorder, and I have wanted an alternative, longer strap for my Pentax camera anyways, so these were great replacements. I also really like the small bag I purchased some time ago. Everything about this brand is of great quality as far as I can tell. Thanks to all of you for turning me on to PacSafe!

BTW, I'm SO thankful the boards have been slower lately! I hate not keeping up, but I've been too busy this week to get on here as often as I would like!

Well, I need to go find out if my neighbor is a first time grandmother yet and to run cruise-related errands. Have a great evening or morning, depending on where and when you're reading this!

PS: B2B'ers, your time is SOOOO near! :dance3: :woohoo: I'm so thrilled for you all!

I keep thinking I've got everything too Angie......then I find something else....:rolleyes1

I do not do mani/pedi's on the ship. I find they do not do a good job. While I might do a polish change, not the full treatment.

I could not have said it better!!

DCL could pay me in trips in a concierge suite!! I could do all my planning tethered to a satellite phone to my computer!!

Continued good thoughts!

I have never heard of this series. I am totally going to have to check it out. I am still in the midst of the Millenium triology. But I have been looking for stuff to download on my Kindle before the cruise.

How do you like your Kindle? I am borrowing one from a friend as a trial and I like it very much. Just debating which one to buy.

Hi Guys! & Gals! Just had my termite inspection and the guy that does it built a hotel in St. Maarten. He said everyone who likes liquor has to go to the Guava Berry Emporium. I have never been there but he highly recommends it and was very jealous of all of us heading over there. He said it is great in mixed drinks or even ice tea.

Also, I bought a new book from James Patterson called "The Postcard Killers" and stamped on the front it says, "The scariest vacation thriller ever". I don't know if it is on the kindle or if anyone likes those kinds of books, but I am sure it will be great. I read all of his. I am old-fashioned and still prefer to buy the book and hold it. :rotfl2: Maybe one day I will switch.

Noel, I like my Kindle very much. I always use it with the cover so I have more of the feeling of holding a book. I love that Amazon has free books as well, and have downloaded more than a few of them. I also love that you can simply put a cursor to a word and the dictionary definition appears. Of course I've never used a Nook or iPad, so take my review for what it's worth. :)
