Finally on the 11pm news, there was a guy robbing a home less than a quarter mile from our home and was caught in the act by the home owner. That was when the helicopter and police were called in. They did not find the person. That is really upsetting cause we are careful to keep things locked even while we are home but now will have to be even more careful.

I did use the new cruiser thing. It asked for all in my party, ages, where we live, special dates, and had a window to add a comment. It was the same form I filled out the first time. : )

This sentence cracked me up and brought back memories. When DH and I were flying back from our honeymoon, we had quite a bit of time to kill in the Madrid airport, so we sat on or near the floor in these very low chairs and people watched. At that level, what we saw mostly was shoes. And some very bizarre ones and others that were quite ugly. We still joke about Madrid being the city of ugly shoes!

This talking about shoes was the reason for my Facebook update today which reads "Si me queda la zapatilla, me puedes llamar Cenicienta" which apparently means "If the shoe fits, you can call me Cinderella."

I thought it was appropriate :)

Here is an article you might find of interest: http://www.gadling.com/2010/08/22/75-000-teddy-bears-left-behind-in-hotels-every-year/
One interesting piece of info "A third of adults go to bed with a stuffed animal, and 25 percent of men take teddies on business trips with them. Respondents said it's comforting to go to bed with a teddy, and psychologists say having a cuddly friend from home helps people feel comfortable in a strange place."

....Did your Costco have the fab Disney Princess costumes with the tiaras and wands? ......If you have a princess who needs a dress for the cruise, the ones at Costco are beautiful and $20ish including the tiara and wand. (Tink came with Tiara and wings.)....

They did! I intentionally looked for them since you had told me that they were really nice....and the really were! Lots of details and just so sweet!

 I have a good feeling this person is not going to come back! Regardless, I completely understand your anxiety about it.

The aggravated burglary at my neighbor's (2 down from me) two weeks ago hasn't resulted in an more excitement around here. I can't deny that I'm on full alert when I hear something at night, but I really think in her case, she was specifically targeted.

Excellent

And talking about Cinderella, we were at our local savers today (op shop) looking for a suit for DS who seems to have grown out of his :( and found a beautiful flower girl dress fit for a princess that fir DD perfectly. At least one of our family ( shame about the rest of us ) will be dressed very well

OK, I see the problem, I just needed to change the record back to read:
Cruising on WBTA: Yes

You should now be able to add events and such. Sorry about the confusion.

Summer has finally come to San Francisco and I am so happy. The sun is out for the first time in weeks and weeks. It is 91 degrees on my deck and locals will be enjoying this today, but as Johanna (Renegade) can confirm, if this "heat WAVE" lasts more then a couple of days all the complaining will start (not from me but DH yes).
I haven't gotten my documents yet. They better come soon or I will not be a happy Disney Club member. val

Summer is still here:headache: Today was 111 and tomorrow is said to be 118:scared1:
I know when fall is around here: when the dried burnt leaves fall off the dead trees!:lmao:

Not sure, State Police helicopters flying above, cops all over but nothing on the news. I want hubby to stay home instead of going to band practice.

He rode down to check things out on his cycle and no one is saying anything.

Sure makes me feel safe and I suddenly want to learn how to shoot!!!

How scarry:eek:
Thanks goodness DSonIL is with the sheriff's department!:thumbsup2
I just gave Howard my Christmas list:
1. dishwasher
2. another gun! And Yes... I can shoot:rolleyes1

Annie:yay:

Thank you for all the good wishes for my surgery. I have to be there at 10am and surgery is a noon. I have a pile of books, magazines and DVD's to keep me occupied. There is also trip planning to keep me occupied.

Good Luck on the surgery Becky.
And we'll see you in 3 weeks:thumbsup2

Good luck tomorrow and I hope you have a speedy recovery!

I really need to get to bed...I'm going outlet shopping in Lancaster tomorrow. I'm hoping to pick up some things for the cruise!!!

Maybe we will be stuck on CC for days and days - We can only hope. val

I have a pic of Mt Rustmore from the maiden voyage of the Magic.
There was Nothing behind them, just a sad looking palm tree:sad2:
I'll have to find that pic.

Stephen, I forgot about those 2 storms. I now remember the lighting one of those nights, I think it was the first week.

Did not get to bed till 2 am last night. Aiming for 11 pm tonight, but as Val mentioned it is warm here in SF. Laying on top of my covers tonight. I got out of work around 7:30 tonight and could not believe how warm it was out. Tomorrow is suppose to be even warmer. I am going to look into getting something called rescue remedy. Hopefully that will calm me down and let me get some sleep. As I don't want to get sick before vacation. 12 more days to get my self organized. :scared1:

Crocs are normally about $29.99 here but a local discount store has them this week for $8 a pair. Unfortunately I am not a wearer, now if I could only find your UGGs for a discount. Actually, my favorite Uggs are the slip-on sandals I have that they have discontinued. Very sad as mine look like something the dog as gotten. Speaking of which, so glad to hear your Holly is doing well. val

So who has the $8 Crocs? Been thinking about picking up some new ones.

We're a little short on sedation, but perhaps a Drink of the Day would serve? Shake well, and serve on a large magical place run by Disney, with water all around, on a lounge chair by a pool. Would that help? :rotfl:

Welcome aboard!
Richard

Works for me!

Yes, today is one of the 10 or so per year that I wish I had air conditioning. I've been waiting for summer to show up, now I don't want it, LOL
