So are we!:cool1::cool1:
:thumbsup2
I've looked into cruising Hawaii, but honestly, for me, I think that if I'm going to go there, I want to spend the time on the islands and getting soaked in the Hawaiian experience, not cruising to get there. Hawaii isn't inexpensive (at least not for all the things I want to do and places I want to go and stay at), so in addition to time constraints, I unfortunately couldn't take the trans-Pacific and spend a week or more in Hawaii. :sad1: If that lottery that I don't play would just pay off, I would be all set!

We love Hawaii and encourage people not to miss it. It is nothing like the Caribbean. If you want to see multiple islands on one trip, cruising is the only way I would do it (but never on NCL again). We've island hopped to three islands on one trip and the time to deal with packing and then flying is just not worth it. We usually do a couple of days in Honolulu and then fly to Kaui to do nothing but sun and snorkle. I've read the state Department of Transportation confirmed that Disney has tentative bookings at Pier 2 in Honolulu Harbor in May and September of 2012. My sister, a TA says the speculation is DL is going to do a tour in Asia with stops in Hawaii as part of a repositioning.

Been there done that!

First thing I did when I got back from Hawaii was book 5 days in Disney.

So....how are they going to handle this when ALL of us pay the $10 to get in the front of A line? We paid it also. ;):)

You guys flying into Philly on the 4th too? I guess we'll all be standing together

Ordered our shirts, but will go with the flow for which night.
Did I mention that we're pretty easy?

Gotcha down for being most flexible! :thumbsup2

I have to share this conversation with you!

This afternoon I was sharing some of our DIS group plans with my hair stylist. I mentioned the Champagne Girls and the general dress attire for the gathering. She said "You could have pink hair instead of a shirt!" Of course this picture came into my mind. So I told her about it and she said "I just love men who have a good sense of humor!" :teeth:

We love Bubba VERY much... :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: & believe it or not... we were all supposed to have pink wigs... I still have mine... in the package... not sure if I'd bring it though... :rotfl:

Just back from San Francisco! Thanks to everyone that met us at the Tonga Room!!! We had a great time!! I'll try to post some pic's over the weekend. Tomorrow is my 34th birthday  so we'll be going out to dinner with some friends and then it's back to work on Thursday! I'm not ready to be 34 or back in the swing of our normal routine!

We really enjoyed meeting you and Gus as well!!

Took me 6 hours to read the 100 pages I got behind while away! Luckily, I was able to get all our laundry done and pay some bills during that time as well!

We are a chatty bunch!!

Noel- I'm so glad that you are ok! Hope you get all your repairs done without much hassle!

Thank you for your kind thoughts. I think things will get sorted out soon.

Can't believe how quickly it's all coming now! It just seems like yesterday when we were 18 months out! What happened??? :upsidedow

Time is passing very quickly now!! I am sorting out things on a daily basis which I may want to take on the ship or need in Barcelona!!

I'm so glad you posted this because one of the options I was considering was cruising Pride of America because it does island hop with no "wasted" time of cruising the ocean to or from Hawaii. Was it really that bad??

IMHO, yes it is that bad. PM me if we want more details.

I have amended your preferences

I did not get the option to safe this as a PDF either. I managed to work around this by copying the Excel worksheet into a Word document and from their into Paint, which them allowed me to save this a JPEG. It might be a slightly roundabout way, but it works.

I love this tattoo. I have been tempted for years now to either get a butterfly, a dolphin or a Figment tattoo, but I was never quite brave enough.

I might be temped to go to the fountains after our meet on Friday.

Thanks to you and Helen for all the hard work you put into this.

This sounds like a great find.

Really the workshops are full. However, I have now had requests from 4 additional people. I suppose I can split this into 3 groups with 8 people each and do two back to back sessions on September 21st. Could you let me have your preferences for necklaces and cellphone charms? Also could you let me have your Dsis DIS Name and let me know if either of you has Palo tea booked?

Tru, if you and R still want in, I can accommodate you. Could you please let me have the same information?

Well, things are finally coming together. My jewellery for formal night finally turned up today and is utterly gorgeous. I rushed out of the house this morning and never put any jewellery on so I am wearing the set now. I can't wait to wear this with my evening gowns.

My Champagne Girl tiara arrived yesterday. It is tiny and esstially just a comb with some frills, but it is really cute and will do. I also got my pillow case to be signed by the characters yesterday. So now I am pretty much ready. I just need the components for the last Fish Extended gift, which will be custom made for me.

DH is starting to get in on the excitement as well. He has been shaking his head for months now about me making magnets and having t shirts printed for the cruise. This morning he said that he had seen a t shirt somewhere with the caption "Six out of seven dwarfs are not Happy". He really wanted one of those. So I got on to one of the talented DISigners and he made me up a great graphic, which I will have printed on a t shirt for DH. I can't wait to see his face when he sees this.

Corinna

I appreciate this, but do not want to be any trouble. If you cannot do it with out stress, wee will understand. No worries.

In case you do proceed: DSis is Poohluvsfigment

No tea booked.

Dsis wedding renewal ceremony id on the 27th at 1030, so we would be out that day.

I do not remember the choices. If bracelet is one, then that is it. Otherwise, no pref. Just wanted to learn how to make jewlery. We have all the stuff, but it never worked out for us. No time to go to the bead shop and take a class either.

Pacsafe shipment arrived. Backpacks are great. Hip/shoulder bag is wonderful, but the travel organizer is way to big to wear wround your neck. That must be returned!

Booked my tickets ro Rochester for labor day weekend. Now I have to rethink my packing with this added trip.

I'm at work but hope to be there part of the afternoon.

Look I am starting to get a complex here. Why am I being ignored? I go to chat, the doorbell rings and no one is home.

I am a clean and friendly person. Yes. I am sarcastic, but I mean no harm. I do my best to not curse. So what is it? I am starting to feel like lyness (or whatever his name is from peanuts).

I am going to become a stalker pretty soon. Now stop hiding from me.;)

LOL, is this a A.P.B.?

Pj

:lmao::rotfl2: Looks like one!

Nice! pirate:

Oh don't be ashamed to say that! That's awesome, Princess Annie!!!! princess:

:worship:

I would love to, thanks. Trudy
Good! It really is a gathering of very nice folks. :grouphug:

I like the transfers for dark t-shirts (produces a richer result,) better on all projects, especially if they have a defined boarder, like the front graphic. But the light t-shirt transfer material (always produces a more muted result,) might work better for the back graphic since there is so much empty space on it.

I am doing a smallish version of the front graphic on the left upper section of the front of my shirt (kind of over the where a pocket would go,) with my dis name and maybe just the flags on the one of the sleeves.

I am going to actually measure what will look good on the shirt, then bring the graphics into word and use the format photo (right click on the photo) to adjust the size, then print in mirrored/transfer setting, making sure to print as a vivid photo to get richer colours, and let it dry.

Pj

HUH?? You know you lost me there, PJ!

actually I was thinking of all of us flying from everywhere and paying to be first in line. How many of these will they sell for each flilght? :confused3 I certainly thought it would be well worth the $20 and I'm guessing that masses of folks will think the same. Might make the front of the line a bit of a long wait....I'm just wondering.

Just for you, a link to the song:

I Just Don't Look Good Naked Anymore

So, you noticed that I don't know how to post a link....:surfweb: :lmao: Cute song though.:)

Now ... on to my question....
I know these pieces of art are in Bacelona. They are of Ramon Berenguer III Count of Barcelona. He's family and I want to take pics of all I can.
Q: Where is he ... a museum or ??? where???
Im bringing some genelogy with me so we can look up dead relatives:rolleyes1

Annie:flower3:

Annie,

The statue is in the Plaça de Ramon Berenguer el Gran, just off Via Laietana, which runs along the east side of the Barcelona Cathedral. Look at the map that I posted; it's about 100 meters east of the cathedral itself.

Edit: The painting is located in Palau de la Generalitat, which is the seat of the Catalan Government in Barcelona. It faces Plaça de Sant Jaume, which is 100 meters south of Barcelona Cathedral.

Last rumor I heard (from Andrew_Derek UK) was that early bookings would open on the last week of September for Gold and above CC members. That means they'd open while we're on this cruise!

oh cool - and we just became gold!

I was there, too.

Woody

:) yep!

Wow! THIS IS WHY WE ARE DOING FE GROUPS INSTEAD OF TRYING TO GIVE A GIFT TO EACH STATEROOM! WOW!

BTW.....I see nobody is in the Strawberry group yet. How does it work? you only give gifts to those in your own fruit group? Thanks, Connie

I still have not given Sue the information because I am waiting on some info from a few members - but maybe I will send her what I have and update later.

Hi everyone!
Just popping by to let you know that I'm booking this cruise as a last minute 'sanity saver' for myself!!! My name's Karen, I'm from the UK and this will be my 6th DCL cruise and by far my longest to date! I expect to be in a Cat 7 with late dining.

It'll be a solo trip (my first and I'm more than a little nervous TBH) as the primary purpose is to escape from the Crazy Castle my home has become during a problematic and protracted building/refurb project - such a long and boring story.... :sad2: Anyway, I'm sailing in search of R&R plus the chance to spend some time with friends old and new!!

So I guess the most important thing at this stage is to ask if someone could let me know what (if anything) is left to sign up for - I would be most grateful. :goodvibes

OK, the introduction's over - better go and compile a packing list. Can't believe I'm doing this!!! :woohoo:

Ohhhh I can't wait to see what else I can talk you into... :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Aren't we supposed to be on another thread by now? The mods must be on vacation... :rotfl:
