WOW! Hope that its a bit calmer when we are aboard...

So, I have been skimming the pages a bit (still having headaches post dentist) and I meant to join in earlier but forgot, so... Can I be a Champaign Girl too? Or am I too late?

Formal arrived today and it fits perfectly. I wentahead and put the crinoline in a space bag and it too will make the trip. I also ordered a dress for Becca - $9 off of ebay - it has shipped - I hope that it is as nice as it appears to be.

Camp in sinding down here, school starts in 3 weeks. Stephen is gone agaon this next week, so I shoul dbe bale to use his room to get some more stuff packed for the trip. Once he is back we will do back to school shopping and then I will have all of his clothes for the trip.

I think I am in track, but things have been so hectic here, it is hard to tell from day to day... I will be happy when we get under 30 days and I can really pack and be done!

Feel well soon:hug:

Sue, I hope you feel better. Glad to hear your formal arrived and it fits. I just got back from eating pizza and I feel like I won't fit into anything.

I have pictures of the Magic leaving Port Canaveral in April if anyone is interested, I can e-mail them. Yes, we had a fun afternoon with it while eating shrimp outside and watching her go by. Everyone was waving and yelling. I was saying, "wish I could be on it" but I am glad I am going in September. That way - it isn't over yet!!!:rotfl:

:lmao::lmao::lmao:
Most of the dresses looked like the should be for the "Pimp and Hoe Night" and since Disney wasn't doing THAT night I went for the bridal shop!
Annie:rolleyes1

I about spit my drink. My dress will work perfect for the "hoe" down if they have it.:lmao:

That is the one... I liked a lot...

But still not sure how much money to spend on my formal dress...

(I am also still thinking about my "dirndl"... )

Love the black one. I have a dirndl from when I lived in Germany. I am certain it does not fit. I believe it shrunk while hanging in my closet. That seemed to happen to a lot of my clothes. Now that we moved, they seem to becoming larger. strange happenings.;)

Hey! We were on that one too. I remember clearly that I was feeling the ship move and mentioned it to one of the crew memebers and he looked at me like I was  The reason? The seas were smooth as glass. It was me. It took a few days to go acclimate but actually, what I remember was nice and warm, smooth as glass and downright hot in some ports. Especially, Tenerife. Wasn't the ship cooler than the outside? I remember having to go outside to warm up. And if I remember correctly, Pam even got me to go into the pool for a bit. Not long but we did enjoy it. :confused3

I was there with you, or at least it was my ohter personality (faireygod mother). The seas were like glass and the weather was HOT. It was an awesome sailing.

Here are Barcelona pictures of the Magic fountains (with my neice and DGD), and Antoni Gaudi’s works of art such as ,Casa Batllo, Casa Mila (unofficially known as La Pedrera) and La Sagrada Familia Church (post 47 and 50) http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1561711&page=4

Here is the sea (post 90) http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1561711&page=6

Lovely!

We have a 36' Class A but before this one, we had a Class C. We wanted to start "small" (and inexpensive!) to see if we would really like it before going all in. We'd be happy to join you for a cup of coffee - or a DOD - to discuss the ins and outs. We've done Florida to California to Montana and back, Florida to Iowa to Pennsylvania and back, and lots of shorter trips with kids :scared1:; we can discuss that aspect, too!

BTW, we bought Robin Williams' "RV" movie to take on our inaugural trip - hilarious - and we've seen most of the things in that movie come true (ourselves or others) since then! Hint: sewer hose :rotfl2:

:lmao::rotfl2: Have never talked with an RVer who had not had sewer issues. :sad2::rotfl: There was a guy in an RV park in Salem, OR who had his arm up in there past his elbow. He had given up on gloves, folks around said "you don't want to shake hands with that guy!" :rotfl::rotfl2: Our thought was "We are glad we are not that guy!" :rotfl2: He was NOT the proverbial Happy Camper.

I would love to soak up your knowledge! Thanks for the offer. I *have* seen RV and I'm *certain* we won't have any of those things happen to us (LOL!) We have a tent trailer now and have had our share of things to laugh at over the years.

Thanks - I would love that cup of coffee too! I'm hoping that we can visit friends and family and boondock in their driveways, too. That particular model we are looking at seems to be popular with families (slide-out bunks, queen 'bedroom', lots of room up front). I'm making my mom come with us to for multigenerational torture.

We look forward to it!!

Multigenerational torture... :lmao: love it. We had a grandson just entering college and my mother in our RV for just a bit. :thumbsup2

I just sat here and re-read my trip report from 2007. It was a wonderful walk down memory lane. More importantly, it has made me get more excited about going on this one. I think I will do another trip report while onboard this time as well. I usually do them as an email to the family and then add more if meat and potatoes and a little extra sprinkling of sarcasim just to flavor it up a bit.

Well back to working on my scrapbooking FE gifts and my candy bar exchange.

I'm not done catching up yet, but I'm at my parent's house and I don't want to lose my multi-quotes

I LOVE this! And....I just may know Chip...or Dale....;)
Really?! Did you work at WDW????

I hired Mickey one time. One of the accounting grads I hired while in Memphis had been a cast member and she had apparently just became Mickey shortly before she left.
Glad you can focus on the positive aspects of the day! My DH is still looking for work over 1.5 years from being laid off.

LOL! Does she still do Mickey's autograph?

A year and half- I'm afraid that is how it's going to end up for me too...I do hope he finds something soon.

Are any of them Winnie the Pooh?:goodvibes:goodvibes

I don't see any Pooh ones available at this time. Sorry.

We're in Reston. I did the commute into DC for 12 years but now I teach part time for Fairfax County Family Services at various locations; I also teach two water aerobics classes a week at Herndon Community Center. My husband (semi-retired) has a consulting office in Falls Church but mostly works from home. The traffic in this area is crazy and the rail construction to Dulles is making it worse, although once it's done will be a blessing.

I slept through the quake but it woke my husband up-said things were rattling on the dresser.

I'm hoping for great weather and smooth sailing across the Atlantic!

Andrea

I haven't checked the travel list, but when and how are you guys getting to Barcelona?

The ocean in May 2007 TA.....a few wild sea days.

Yes, I think you had it worse than the WB, but this year the EB was calm i believe. I will keep hoping.

I need to find a photo of our seas on the 2007 TA WB...They were like glass--like sailing on a lake...and I'm hoping for the same this time!

This isn't my picture but was the best one from the EBTA

n586330507_1177791_3409.jpg

We'd originally booked the EBTA, then read all the reports of the bad weather in May 2007 and got concerned with the EBTA being in April, so we switched to this one.

I LOVE these....must look out for some when we're over in the US! Becky would love the dinosaur one....;) (she's a Geology/Paleobiology student):thumbsup2

Amazon has had Dinosaur Silly Bandz on sale recently, plus there are several brands of knock off dinosaur bandz. I finally broke down and bought some for my son recently. Amazon.co.uk has them too, though they don't seem to be as discounted as they are starting to get around here.

I think it is, yes! I will certainly wave & take photo..............I'm a little technically challenged but will do my best to post pix :woohoo:

:littleangel:

Can't miss it... big boat... Mickey on the side... :goodvibes

THANK YOU....I LOVE this. I set it as my ring tone for my phone. It just makes me so happy.

If you keep posting over here..you're gonna have to GO on the cruise!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Oh you reallly are a dedicated fan.

As the boat pulls away can you shout out to whoever is in my stateroom to keep it nice and tidy for me.. :rotfl:

SW

Yeah... and tell the family staying in lifeboat #7 the same thing!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

We look forward to it!!

Angie... I don't think you've ever posted a picture of you guys with your mobile mansion... Please??? Seeing as you are thinking of parking it at my house someday... ;)

Another sleepless night. UGH I have been trying to find the web cam at Dover to see the Magic. However the webcam has not been updates in weeks. Darn it! I was craving a Magic fix.:headache:
