Thrown overboard by the wave???;)

Hope this isn't a let's frighten Marilyn session :rotfl:

Hey you :wave2:

What no pictures of our mini meet :confused3

LOL Whats up with the Med ???

pirate:

:rotfl2: I was respecting privacy. LOL - Just kidding, been on the go with the youngest since we left. But I will soon.

Funny you should mention that, just got a note I have to read. I'll be back.

Talk about freakish weather! We are in Northern Virginia (near Washington, DC) and this year we have had the snowiest winter, the hottest summer-almost 100 again today-and an 3.6 EARTHQUAKE this morning! :scared1: I've lived here all my adult life and have never heard of an earthquake in this area. Next thing you know, it'll be raining cats :ccat: and dogs :goofy:

Andrea

Read about that and wondered how many people actually knew what it was. :lmao: Out here, we stop for a second and then say, oh that's not too bad. ;)

I guess if you are going to show yours I should show mine.

Here is my formal night dress and shoes. I just need to accessorize with maybe a mink stole, a cowbell necklace and tiara.

Found one:

:love::love: the dress. :lmao: And pray tell, where did the shoes come from. Need them.

From what I just researched the weather should be cool in the evenings and the seas maybe rough at times. The variable is that it is hurricane season.

When we did the WBrepo in 2007. It was in late August and it was warm. In fact It was hot at castaway.

Hey! We were on that one too. I remember clearly that I was feeling the ship move and mentioned it to one of the crew memebers and he looked at me like I was  The reason? The seas were smooth as glass. It was me. It took a few days to go acclimate but actually, what I remember was nice and warm, smooth as glass and downright hot in some ports. Especially, Tenerife. Wasn't the ship cooler than the outside? I remember having to go outside to warm up. And if I remember correctly, Pam even got me to go into the pool for a bit. Not long but we did enjoy it. :confused3

58 days until we leave for Barcelona.

Just caught up on posts :surfweb:, in time to drive to Reno, NV today. Dr's appointments next week (still haven't switched everything to Oregon yet).

Finished practice packing, to see if everything will fit (so far, so good).

Have'nt checked the weight yet :confused3.

All travel segments are complete (pending final info and payment on bus to port).

Thanks to everyone for their hard work on all the WBTA DIS stuff. :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DISNEYLAND!!! 55 years old, today. I'm three years behind you, give or take a couple weeks.

I was wondering if any of the guys are dressing special for villians night. I'm trying to get Bob to bring his Jafar costume, he wore it one halloween when he taught high school science. He says no one else will be wearing one so he isn't either. val

I think we reached half that this week!!;):lmao: Oh, and it IS summer here.:rotfl2:

(Must add we have had a bit of a heat wave a few weeks ago, but it has gone now. So I really mustn't grumble, but I will!!)

Yeah, I remember grumbling that we wanted summer to come on, just didn't expect it to come all in one week. We usually build UP to it - not get slammed with it. :rotfl2: But I am glad I'm not it AZ. :scared:

We were on the 2007 WBTA, and we crossed the Atlantic with warm, sunny weather and amazingly calm seas. We are hoping it's the same this time, but know that was NOT the norm, and we were lucky.

Here are some pictures of the calm sea during the crossing:

::yes:: That'd be what I remembered.

I LOVE YOUR DRESS!!! :rotfl:

My DD got home safely from Russia and we were back at home by 2am......approx 30 minutes ahead of schedule. So now it is time for :laundy:......

:grouphug: Glad to hear she's doing ok. And you still didn't sleep in? Your  woman.

Disney Magic

Magic Fountain

Separated at berth.

Woody

Funny. But love it. ON the other hand, I too prefer to see the latter as opposed to the former one.

:rotfl: Love your pun.

We actually experience 30-40 foot swells on one of our Disney cruises; the captain spent the whole cruise skirting around the 2-3 hurricanes in the area at the time. I had to get up in the middle of the night for a potty run and woke up thinking, "Why am I walking uphill?" :lmao:

People, People, People, I will not allow bad weather to mar our fabulous trip. On almost all my trips, land or sea, it has always been forecast bad weather but I don't allow it. Its usually nice and bearable so Mother Nature hopefully will hear/see my name on the manifest and leave us alone. If not, I'm bringing the prayer beads and hanging them in the room. ;)

Thought I'd stop in and say hello from the new digs! We arrived in San Miguel this past Wednesday....unfortunately, due to the weather in the Gulf of Mexico these past weeks, there has been LOTS of flooding in northern Mexico where our household goods are. The trailer is stranded there with approximately 12,000 other trucks trying to cross. We came south from New Mexico so we didn't have to deal with the nasty stuff but now we're just waiting....

All in all, life is still good! Met up with some of our new friends last night for a pizza-tasting party to help with some recommendations for a new restaurant that's going to open near us.

Too many pages to back and check up on (I thought y'all MIGHT slow down a bit - WRONG!) so will start from here on out! If there's anything you think I should know about (no eyepatches, please!) fill me in!

Michael

Good to hear from you Michael. Glad things are going well and the pizza tasting sounds wonderful! You are already having fun!!:yay:

I already warned the group that I leave on Friday for 8 days of vacation and I am hoping everyone takes vacation at the same time as me. That would be fantastic!

Good luck with the truck and your household goods. Keep us posted!

Hi Michael. So pleased you arrived at your new home safely even if you have no belongings yet!! When the truck manages to cross the border, how long till it reaches you? I so hope it isn't too long, though it does sound like you are getting on with your new life in the meantime!!:)

We have mainly been chatting about formal dresses, outfits for Villains night, rough seas crossing the Atlantic, Champagne Girls Champagne tasting and other minor chit chat. No undies as far as I can remember!;)

Keep enjoying your retirement.

OK folks, got a hot tip, gotta fly!

Todd? Stay tuned. :rotfl2:

And its hot outside so everyone stay cool. This carcass has to haul her behind out in this hot weather. SIGH, ♫ the things we do for love...♫

(Love of Mickey that is) :rotfl:

The normal drive time is about 10 hours but it'll probably take a few more with the washed-out roads.

Thank goodness we packed our laptops and got the internet connection installed during our last visit here!

Almost time for the afternoon rainstorm!! Woo Hoo!!!

:thumbsup2

Hey, guess what I'm doing tomorrow?..........

....going to Dover (UK) to wave the Magic off!!:banana::banana:

Hope to take some photos too....I'll tell her we'll see her in 9 weeks!:thumbsup2:yay::woohoo:

:littleangel:

THANK YOU! Your information is wonderful! I will contact DCL on Monday to see what's what! Although I have had several pm's from girls who already have their boa's.....so boa's are in! I'l bring my rolly sticky thingy that picks up hair off of clothing to do a quick pick up of pink fuzzies!

Just ask for Mombusso onboard the Magic....she knows those pink feathers from the Champagne Girls very well. haha. She coordinated our event onboard. Housekeeping did a great job of cleaning them up too as soon as we were out of there. You don't have to do it Connie.

Oh, and Shawn from Palo was our Sommelier and he is VERY familiar with our pink feathers too....hahaha.
