They are keeping that a secret and the town the house is in. I only know is the date and the it in Berks county. Here is a link to the article. I never ever travel without Acyclovir (Zovirax). UK Tesco or other supermarket brand is just as good. Got caught in Florida a previous year, and just could not find an equivalent. I had Cold sores as big as I've ever seen, and so miserable and painful. I was desperate to get home to UK for my over counter treatments
Any one know if there actually was a US version that I just couldnt find?

I found somethng great for me... it's Abreva. With the heat and sun(today is 119 at 3:45pm). My lips are fried. I use it at night and keep some kind of spf on during the day. Abreva is tiny, about the size of your little finger and cost about $15(US).

Hey Girl, Don't worry too much about learning Spanish. Barcelona is part of Catalonia. The "preferred" language is Catalan. As one friend shared, Catalan is a strange combination of Spanish, French with a sprinkle of Portuguees. She also observed that folks in Barcelona are similar to the French; they warm up to you when you at least TRY to speak their language.

If you learned Latin, you'll have the basics for any romantic language. You'll be amazed at the similarities. I had to teach Latin I this year and was amazed how much my years of French helped me with the Latin (and vise versa).

So I've been working at the Disney Store A LOT this week, more than normal. It's a good thing though because all of the money I make there goes right towards the cruise! I want that Dooney purse!

Today (well, technically the 16th) is the day that I was laid off a year ago. It seems like just yesterday that I was calling my family and friends with the sad news. I decided I wanted to do something to keep my mind off of the date so my sister, my mom and I are going outlet shopping! The outlet mall is like 45 minutes away so it won't take long to get there and get back. I'm not planning on spending much if any money, it's just the idea to get me out and about instead of just sitting around and thinking about it all day.

Can't believe the cruise is coming so quickly! It's very exciting!!!!

I need to start inventorying clothing and shoes to see what I might need to get. I hate shopping as I struggle to find anything that fits so it consumes way more time then it should. So I hope to be able to wear stuff I already have rather then needing to buy a lot more clothing for the cruise.

I so need to the same thing. I hate shopping as well. I don't understand why for men's clothing they have many different sizes but not for women's. Men have waist and inseem for pants and dress shirts have neck size. Granted I have never liked to shop even when I was only 120 lbs.

I have decided to make some jewellery to go with my outfit for Villains Night. I have had an idea for a new jewellery design for a while, but was not quite sure how to turn the idea into a piece of jewellery. I think I have this sorted out now and I am sure it will work great with the outfit. I can't wait to get the materials and get started on this.

I know it's an addiction. I have had family members that smoked, None do now. What annoyed me was my FIL smoked around his family and my children when they were babies, he knew we all hated it and wanted him to stop. Then he had a heart attack, and stopped immediately, never had another cigarette, So....if his health is at risk he will stop, but he didn't mind putting everyone else at risk for all those years????
I realise I'm being harsh, and have never vocalised this to him, or anyone for that matter, It just doesn't make sense to me.
I have never smoked or taken drugs, so obviously I don't get it... and I don't suppose I can compare it to my chocolate addiction.....



I hope she warms up to the idea? Maybe you should bribe her with a fridge full of ice-cream and chocolate? Would work for me.....

Ahhhh! I have missed you all so much. It has been too long. I don't know what is going on and I have like 40 pages to read, but I wanted to say hello. I was hanging with the family this weekend because Abby left for camp. I thought I would have 4-5 days to just catch up on cruise stuff and the boards and my computer took a dive! I got my magnets made, FE Scrapbook done and stuff like that, still no cabin number, just checked, but it wasn't the same as talking to everyone about everything. I hope everyone is well.

Goofy Granny informed me about Todd and his stepson and I am so sorry to hear that he will not be cruising with us.

Okay, I am going to catch up and send some PM's to my scrapbook exchange buddies. I will continue reading all tomorrow. Thank God I have the computer back! YEAH!!!!

Hi Paula, we have booked Barcelona taxi Van, there are 4 of us, 4 large suitcases and 4 cabin bags. We have confirmed a price of 45 euros for all of us.

I start like at taxis too, but with all the sucharges I'm not sure what will be cheaper. 2,00 € to start the meter. 2,10 € to go to the port. 1,00 € per bag. 1,10 € per KM

Also I had a couple groups cancel so it look like one bus with 38 to 40 people on a 55 passenger bus. With out the second bus should make it cheaper. I need to request new quotes. I will let you know when i get them.

It'll be even better if the driver can get completely lost and drive us around some especially dodgy parts of down like our EBPC driver did

I can understand that the younger girls want to be in fashion, and can't find anything appropriate for their shape, It must be hard for them.

I can't see the attraction with really low rise pants - they are just not flattering to anyone. Likewise I can't stand pant that sit on my waist. I'm a hipsters kinda girl - I think they are more flattering. Besides, high waisted pants never fit me - they either fit my hips or my waist but never both.

Could all you experienced Europe travelers weigh in on this and let me know if traveler's checks in euros is a good idea or not?

From my experience, travelers cheques can be more trouble than they are worth. We are taking some Euros for smaller purchases - we each carry our own cash so not just one person has all of it and will use our Visa cards for larger purchases. Also only one of us carries a credit card out of the hotel at a time - call us paranoid but it spreads the risk for theft.

When I was in Tonga, one of the lady's in our group had her travelers cheques stolen from her handbag (to be fair she was a stupid tart and was told repeatedly to zip up her handbag or they would get stolen).

She had bought them knowing that if they were stolen they could be replaced. Unfortunately as we were moving around a bit, so she didn't actually get them returned to her until the last day of the trip - the bank was closed at weekends, language difficulties, having to return to sign paper work but we weren't in the same place etc etc. She had no cash at all and no credit card. She ended up having to borrow money from others in the group for meals.

Apparently most establishments in Europe do not take traveler's cheques. We are getting some to cash aboard DCL so we aren't taking as much cash through Barcelona but don't intend to bring the traveler's cheques for use in Europe. We are using cash and VISA instead: VISA everywhere we can, and cash where we can't. I called my bank and got them to issue me a credit caard with a chip.

Some banks here now have chips cards, unfortunately my bank isn't starting issue of them until October. We have stripe cards but we do have 4 digit pin numbers. I'm told that as long as you have a Visa branded card and the merchant has a Visa logo they have to accept your card, chip or not. However trying to explain that to a sales assistant may be tricky - I'm not sure my miming is that good.

Usually I travel without hardly any cash but I wasn't comfortable doing it this trip due to the transition to the chip cards. Most countries have ATMs on every corner and its safer to get just a small amount of cash every few days to minimise the risk of theft. Most travel insurance doesn't cover much in the way of currency if its stolen.

As an aside, I loved getting money out of the ATMs in Viet Nam - when it showed the balance, it showed it in Vietnamese Dong which made me a multi millionaire many times over. Unfortunately upon returning home, it was back to plain ol' Kiwi $ so I wasn't anywhere near as wealthy

Good Morning everyone!! Just popping in before I head off to work to let everyone know that my DD and the rest of the mission team have left Russia and are in Frankfurt right now. They will leave Frankfurt at 10am CST in route to Washington DC and then finally to New Orleans. They will not get back to New Orleans until 11:50pm tonight....so they still have a long day ahead of them. The past 2 weeks have flown by....hope our 2 week cruise does not go by so fast!!!

I've heard there is a liquer store in the port in Barcelona. So no extra trip needed, if you're not picky. Or you could always get a bottle of DCL's bubbly.

A friend of mine has lived in Barcelona and she told us there's a huge grocery store near/at the Ramblas.
We are already planning on buying all the stuff we need for DS Simon (diapers & stuff) there and NOT bring it with us on the flight to Spain. Which saves us weight.

So... I am pretty sure you can buy your bubbly there... Because I also wanna investigate the wine section they offer.

That is funny, but thats exactly what Im like for a whole week before our cruise.lol
