Noel...

I had a nun in 3rd grade that was just like that... :rotfl: (btw.. I didn't make it to 4th grade in Catholic School... :scared1:)

Good morning everyone !! We are off to the dentist today for check ups ... I am terrified of the dentists so I hope I don't need any treatment :scared1:
Hope to schedule a hygienist appointment in the week before the cruise so I can have shiny white Simon Cowell teeth.

I am confirming the Barcelona transportation to the port. I need names, dis name, hotel, and how many people. I do not have pricing yet I need to have a very close final count before I can get pricing. Please get back to me as soon as possible. If my mailbox is full contact ReAnSt.

I'm also sending a PM to very one.

Have sent you a PM Stephen ... thanks for organising this :thumbsup2

I was at Disneyland for the premier of At World's End. I did not camp outside Johnny's door, but I did camp out in line for the park at 3:30AM, then on Main Street beginning at 6:30AM. Was up close and personal with Mr Depp, Mr Bloom and many others. Even got Johnny to say hello to my friends back home via my cell phone.

Not sure what I'm doing about formals. I have not tried on my gowns, but I suspect that they no longer fit as I have lost weight. But my mom may be able to take them in to make the passable. If not, I'll start shopping probably next month and I am hoping to drop some more weight before we sail.

I think I would faint if I were this close to Johnny. I am sooooooooo jealous.
Well done on the weight loss :goodvibes

Hey fellow cruisers. It's been a while since I posted. You guys post sooo much!

I don't know if I will still be joining you guys on the TA. We just got word that my uncle who has been fighting cancer for over a year has taken a turn for the worse. And then a few days later we found out that my 7 year old, second cousin (my cancer stricken, uncle's grandson) has Leukemia. We are just devistated, especially for my cousin who has been watching his father struggling with cancer & now his 7 year old was just diagnosed. :sad1: This is gonna be a long road. My immediate reaction was to cancel our trip, but I don't know. I'm going to keep planning. For one thing it will give me something to focus on other than CANCER. And if we do end up going, I don't want to be going crazy last minute trying to figure out what we're doing.

Now that I've sucked the life out of this roll call... The actual reason for this post is I remember a while back a lot of talk about the fuel surcharge refund. I skimmed over all those posts because we booked Jan 8, 2009 & we're booked on DVC points. Well I just logged in to my account & it now states that I will be refunded via onboard credit for the fuel surcharge. My question is how do I know how much that will be?? My resi is on points so I have no clue. I printed out the page that states it for proof if need be.

Thanks guys.

So sorry to hear your news. What a nightmare for you and your family. Sending :hug::hug:

Having it shipped to me. Will definately be a cruise item. Had to share how wonderful it is to go into a store and be able to buy clothes off the rack. So used to ordering from a catalog. Think I will wait another month to have my gowns resized. In the process of enjoying my new found self, I also cut my hair off. I took off enough to donate. It is the shortest I have ever worn, but I like it. Everyone says it makes my face look younger. How can that be a bad thing.:worship:

This week I think I am going to use the gift certificate my son gave me for a personal trainer and a month membership to the gym. I want to tone, tone, tone. I am a stressor and when you meet me, you will see where all that cortisal collected. I want to get this gut off:thumbsup2

Well there was to much info !

Well done on your weight loss !!! I would love to lose another 10lbs before the cruise. Thats 1lb a week .... surely thats achievable :confused3 I also need to tone up all the flabby areas which are heading south.

I think I can finally fall a sleep now. I got an email for my TA and it appears my years of service to my country just paid off. We appeared to have gotten the Military Discount. :thumbsup2 I see a DB purse in my future (was going to get it anyway, but now DH cannot complain). Life is good!

Congratulations :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 You deserve that purse :cloud9:

OMG...I have to tell you this story. My favorite author Elizabeth Peters (Barbara Mertz) has a recurring character in her stories whose name is Algernon Bracegirdle-Boisdragon. Here is the link in case anyone thinks I am making this up. http://www.librarything.com/character/Algernon+Bracegirdle-Boisdragon

I would love to hear the story over an Adult beverage or two. Name the date and time!!

There is a Bracegirdle in Tolkeins's Hobbit stories too! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the link to that author, don't know why I havent seen them before
Looks like my cruise reading is sorted!

OK thanks to Penny and her marvels she has managed to get out a preview copy of the navigator! Warning this is the first preview and I expect there to be mistakes so please point them out! Sandi (Hoagie Pie) appologies for the spelling mistakes as I think I caught some and not others on your name!

Anyway the end document will be a duplux version that can be printed then folded into a booklet but this is just the main pdf version.

It should be helpful for those first timers out there and seasoned DCL's
alike hopefully. If anyone thinks of anything else to add let me know. As said before I've left out the Dis Name list as it seemed the best idea for now as most people are waiting on room assignments

it wants me to sign in

I love fascinators!! I will have to see if I have room to bring mine along. Cases are getting heavier and heavier.

Some of my clothes may have to come out and stay behind!!

LOL don't worry the way its going I'm wearing mine on the plane! Im sure no one will notice!

Since everyone is sharing their formal wear, here is mine. I wore it to my DD's wedding and then to the 100th anniversary of the Concert Band that my DH plays with. it has a slight train. I was so lucky to find this dress in a consignment shop!!!:woohoo:

Terry that's lovely!

Update on Mickey Bars from 2010 Baltic thread: (one person's opinion)

Statement: The ice cream bars are just regular ice cream bars (not shaped like Mickey) but they are completely chocolate covered.

Question: Thanks for that, but more importantly......are they good?!?

Answer: No. They suck. They are like a Winn Dixie brand icecream bar. They did not have that really thick chocolate that the Mickey Bars have...just a very thin layer of chocolate. I ordered them once thru room service and never wanted a second.

Looks like they have the same issue we had in 2007! Would have thought they would have sorted this out by now!

Hope I'm not too late (just can't seem to keep with you all)...

I'm a sort-of-novice scrapbooker who is happy to do fairly simple pages with the emphasis on the photos (although I truly admire the pages that are works of art I see in the magazines).

Q: Can someone fill me in on the scrapbook activity being planned? Is it a class, an exchange, etc? When, how, etc? Who should I contact?

Thanks for the info--and ALL the incredible info on this thread!

Andrea

It was Dialady that was going to do one (Terressa) but I haven't seen here on here for a little while. I've dropped her a pm to see if she is still thinking of doing it

HI Michelle.

Thanks to those who have posted formal dress pictures since I mentioned them before. I love them all, and you all look fantastic!!!

Yuk, this is such disappointing news. They could at least get some decent bars.

Sorry to hear your news. How awful for your cousin.

Did some shopping this weekend. Was in desperate need of new unmentionables. The girls needed a lift. They were starting to become a trip hazard.:lmao: Happened to hit a Talbot store and fell in live with a skirt. Having it shipped to me. Will definately be a cruise item. Back to my regularly scheduled cruise planning.

Well done you, sounds exciting for you right now!!!

I will soon be going on a bra hunt - usually takes me quite a while and does nothing for my self worth!!!:sad2:

I love the Alice ones, how does the suede finish wear?
I don't know how many mags I will be able to bring due to my luggage being scary already, But I will stuff as many as I can in! I am happy to use my room as a second drop spot if you want to put that in the Navigator? I don't have room assignment yet.
:

The suede isn't too bad. I sprayed with suede protector though before wearing so it helped I think.

Ill add you in to the next version of the navigator! Thanks

Sorry for all your troubles! My prayers go out to you all at this horrible time.

As for the FSC I'm not sure I think its around $200 mark but can't be sure. Only DVC members have been credited it so its hard to know for sure!

Pin Update

We have received a quote back from a pin maker. They only make pins in lots of 100 at a cost of $5.10 per pin. If we only make 50, the cost will be higher.
They will be 50mm(1.9 inches?), when we do smaller they will cost less.

Since we only have orders for about 48 pins, does anyone want more pins?

There is still one manufacturer who wants more information from me to give us a quote but I think the price will be about the same. I also get in contact whit a company in the USA the prices are the same and they will do 200.

We also need a higher resolution copy of the logo as the one on line will not work. If we can't find one, we may have to change the pin.

Let me now what you think about it.

Connie

Connie I'll take 3!
