Can we all just make a pact to let it all hang out :lmao::lmao::lmao:
I don't like the idea of sitting down to a yummy meal and not being able to eat because I can't fit anything in my sucked in, restricted belly. :rotfl:

Ooooo I had an idea, how about something like this? :rotfl:

Are you feeling any better yet?

Alas not really but I have loads of sick leave owing from works so am making the most of it.

The Grand Californian Villas really look wonderful. DH and I will have to check them out next time we go to DL.

We are staying at the GCV on the way back from Orlando - we have stayed in their regular rooms so looking forward to checking out the villas.

So I get both names mispronounced... Nole instead of No L.

I'm glad you told us how to say it - I wasn't sure :rolleyes1

You think you have problems :confused3
My original maiden family name is BRACEGIRDLE

Biggest issue I have is spelling out my name in the US - the accent seems to trip people up with the vowels. Sierra India Lima Lima Alpha Romeo Sierra

I hate heels, also. I always wear flats, regardless of the dress. I have some dressy (for me) suede black flats. Nice thing is that pair of shoes barely takes up any luggage room!

I'm with you on the flats - I'm all for "sensible shoes" - I typically wear Skechers as my shoe of choice. Love, love, love them!

:

Did some shopping this weekend. Was in desperate need of new unmentionables. The girls needed a lift. They were starting to become a trip hazard.:lmao:

This made me LOL :rotfl:

In the past 24 hours, there's been a little "something" nagging at me to get a Pacsafe, so I made a purchase for one tonight. I even pulled out the two bags that I usually choose from to carry on vacation that go over my chest in hopes that I could feel confident that they'll be okay, but it didn't make the feeling go away. I'll just take it as a sign that there's a good reason I've had that flutter in my mind to get one.

Thank you for the zazzle code, just ordered my shirts.....

You are welcome! Glad it got some use!

I was at Disneyland for the premier of At World's End. I did not camp outside Johnny's door, but I did camp out in line for the park at 3:30AM, then on Main Street beginning at 6:30AM. Was up close and personal with Mr Depp, Mr Bloom and many others....

Nice!!

Not sure what I'm doing about formals..... I suspect that they no longer fit as I have lost weight.....

What a great problem! Congrats!

I did both that way you know who I am coming and going!

:lmao:

Hey fellow cruisers. It's been a while since I posted....I don't know if I will still be joining you guys on the TA....my uncle who has been fighting cancer for over a year has taken a turn for the worse. And then a few days later we found out that my 7 year old, second cousin (my cancer stricken, uncle's grandson) has Leukemia......

It's good to see you posting again! I'm so sorry your family has so many terrible things to worry about. The C word is such an evil thing.

Keep us updated on how things are going, and don't hesitate to chit chat with us if you need to get things off your chest or need some guidance with your planning.

....The girls needed a lift. They were starting to become a trip hazard.:lmao: .....Had to share how wonderful it is to go into a store and be able to buy clothes off the rack....

:rotfl2:

Congrats to you as well on experiencing a real shopping trip!! :dance3:

I am organizing the group tour on Madeira. Just wondering if found out any more about the Girona and Monseratt tours.

Just checked my email and no response. He is married to an American and maybe here on vacation. He studied here in the states and got his Masters in history(I think it was history) at Bentley College in Boston.

Just a piece of worthless knowledge. I seem to have a lot of that.;)

Thanks for keeping me in the loop. Just keep me posted.

ATTENTION ALL DANIEL TAXI MADEIRA TOUR CRUISERS

4. For those who have not yet made reservations at Blandy's, I’ll ask Blandy’s if they only accept a limited number of people on their tours, or if they organize other groups once one is full.

Here is what I was referring to. Should I contact Blandy's directly and make a reservation? OR wait to hear back from her?

Oh, I will. My fingers are crossed it all works out. Jackie insists we would hit it off. Still need to find 2 more folks. Val had a question about it, but have not heard back. If you know anyone please pass it on.

Sorry for the confusion. I think it is ok to try to make a reservation on the Blandy's website. I got this email from Eusébia which I will add to the link on the first page.

As far as Blandy’s is concerned, I suppose there’s no need for them to know that you’re all in the same group. If everybody books for the same time, you’ll all be together, I think. If they book this early, they’ll be fine. Lynne asked me to call Blandy’s because she hadn’t received her confirmation from them yet, they told me that, as the tour is only in September, they’re not in a hurry to confirm, however I then told Lynne, if after two weeks she’s still waiting I’ll call them again.

Jackie is great. If she says,we will get along, we will!!

I would PM Val directly and ask her if she is still interested if it were me.

Just my thoughts...

Thought I would do that this week, but did not want to be pushy.

I think I can finally fall a sleep now. I got an email for my TA and it appears my years of service to my country just paid off. We appeared to have gotten the Military Discount. :thumbsup2 I see a DB purse in my future (was going to get it anyway, but now DH cannot complain). Life is good!

Did some shopping this weekend. Was in desperate need of new unmentionables. The girls needed a lift. They were starting to become a trip hazard.:lmao: Happened to hit a Talbot store and fell in live with a skirt. Having it shipped to me. Will definately be a cruise item. Had to share how wonderful it is to go into a store and be able to buy clothes off the rack. So used to ordering from a catalog. Think I will wait another month to have my gowns resized. In the process of enjoying my new found self, I also cut my hair off. I took off enough to donate. It is the shortest I have ever worn, but I like it. Everyone says it makes my face look younger. How can that be a bad thing.:worship:

This week I think I am going to use the gift certificate my son gave me for a personal trainer and a month membership to the gym. I want to tone, tone, tone. I am a stressor and when you meet me, you will see where all that cortisal collected. I want to get this gut off:thumbsup2

Don't worry about the tripping hazards, just tuck them into your belt! :lmao:
Seriously, How great you had a fun shopping day. You know how everybody is meant to have a 'gift'. like something they are really good at?......Well, I think mine just might be shopping! :rotfl:
Have fun with the personal trainer, they push you so much harder than you'd ever push yourself, you will get so much out of it. I go 3 times a week, and after a really big session I hurt in places I didn't know I had! :rotfl:

Nice visual! I'm glad you like it. My name is Andrea, but until I was 5, my nickname was Candy. I guess when I started kindergarten I gave up my nickname. My favorite uncle's name is Jack. When I was little he called me Candy Apple and I called him Uncle Apple Jack (from the cereal, Apple Jacks, for those of you from other countries). So, I resurrected my nickname from long ago to use as my screen name. I'm glad I decided to use my grown up name when I started kindergarten because I just can't see myself as a "Candy" now. I also don't like to eat candy apples, but I'll take a caramel apple any day!

I hate heels, also. I always wear flats, regardless of the dress. I have some dressy (for me) suede black flats. Nice thing is that pair of shoes barely takes up any luggage room!

That's a gorgeous story about your Candy Apple name, I love it! :cutie:
I think If I wear my flats I will search out all our VC Dis friends and hang out with them! ;)

Ooooo I had an idea, how about something like this? :rotfl:

Is it sad I really like that dress, I think it's pretty! At least you could pig out and not have to 'suck it in'!!! ;)

Thought I would do that this week, but did not want to be pushy.

I think we all at the point of knowing what we want to do or not. I personally would want to know where someone is coming from and if they are still interested.

Just my thoughts...

Wahooo....what a great bonus for all your service. You deserve it!!

Just for you...Done:thumbsup2

Thank you very much!!

Sorry to go back to Spanx!!!:lmao: Those of you who have worn them, particularly the high waisted or up to under bust ones, do they make you all hot and glowing(;)? I usually get a little overheated after my shower anyway, and my dress is, as is usually the case for eveningy clothes, or at least the lining anyway, polyester type material. I rather think I am going to need some, though waist high might do if they don't cut in too much, if you know what I mean.

you don't want me to mention the bedazzled ones again now do you???

DCL has a captive audience and clearly does not feel the need or the obligation to fix the website. Maybe if the percentage of shore excursions, Palo and Spa bookings drop might things change. More likely, DCL would just attribute the drop in less users!!

No amount of complaints to DCL seem to have any affect on the quality of website. I guess since we are only booking not spending ACTUAL money on the site they just don't care as they feel we can book on the ship.

Just my thoughts...
:surfweb:

Believe it or not... DCL outsources it's website... we found that out in '08... the only thing they fixed was they took off the :fish: and replaced it with a swimming Mickey... :upsidedow

I am not surprised they outsource the website but what I am surprised is that DCL would not want to have a quality website that fits the Disney image.

Just my thoughts...
