Girls ... I will need row and position on that row .... everyone has on pink fluffy tiaras !!!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I know!!!;)

In the first one I am 3rd from the right of those standing, in a sleeveless pink top. Below ear length hair.

In the second I am leaning on the piano right hand side with a lady in a red long sleeved top just in front. I'm wearing the same top as in the first picture, but you can't quite see that. Hair a bit shorter, but you can't quite see that either.

I do believe Krisann is in the first photo too.:)

Oh, and I forgot, PJ is back row first on left!!! Sorry PJ!

ATTENTION ALL DANIEL TAX MADEIRA CRUISERS

A question came up about children visiting Blandy's and how to book their reservation. I will update the link on the first page.

Our ever helpful Eusébia emailed me the answer.

I called Blandy’s about your question and they said: — where it says “n. of people” she types the total amount, which, in her case, is 6. Then, further down, in “Observations”, she explains that 3 of them are children.

I am going to be off and on the boards for the next week or so as I take my GD Bailey up to visit my SIL's house in Clear Lake. I will be responding as much as possible to PM's and emails but I doubt I will have too much time to post.

The thing is once there I don't think anyone really notices that someone has worn something before. Perhaps those on the same table might, but goodness me, these formal things are expensive for the few times they get worn. The 'formal' dress I had for the '08 PC cruise I only wore three times(used for Palo). The one I wore for semi formal night on that cruise I also wore for formal on the Eastern last September, so that was worn 3 or 4 times. I just don't do anything remotely formal or dressy in normal life.:lmao::lmao: It is all a real splurge.

Well my formal will be worn both times on this cruise - and I wore it both times on the EBTA and will wear it for future cruises too - hopefully nobody will notice :)

I found the 7 day wine package, I just emailed and asked if they are having 14 night one, I should ask one of the eastbounders:confused:

I will look at my navigators on facebook and see what it said.

Well, as 'the original' Champagne Girl :rolleyes1 I better join in.......

:littleangel:

Count me in too - not sure where my crown is - it is here somewhere I know with my WBPC stuff - but I do have my tiara I bought for prince and princess night - we did not do the boas on the first one - so may have to pick that up

OK .. I have been scrutinising those photos but can't recognise anyone in them .... are any of our cruisers in those photos ? Mandy / ? Marilyn / ? anyone else. I think you will need to identify yourselves :thumbsup2

I am in the first one - 2nd row - 2nd person from the left - sitting - I have on pink :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: (of course I am 27 lbs lighter than that picture now :) )

lol would you believe I never atually got to cruise on either of them ....... even after starting off the idea!:rolleyes1:rotfl2:

Me Me Me!!! I am there :yay::yay::yay:

OH NO!! I just realized this means I need a pink outfit!!! the one I wore last time is too big on me now - so I guess I need to go shopping! I may have to do white pants and a pink shirt this time though!

Krisann

Krisann

I wore white crops and a pink top. Looks good.:thumbsup2

Well done on the weight loss by the way. :yay:

I guess wearing them with socks is out of the question.

Woody
:lmao: good one woody.
I think basically in some places they just don't take any notice of the laws because smoking is just so much a part of the culture, but I would think in the bigger city places there would be more 'policing' of the situation.

We went to Lanzarote, a Spanish island, last year and went to a restaurant one evening. It was only small, and we were at the back. A group came to a larger table right at the front and soon lit up. Then others, noticing these smokers also lit up. There was no escape at the back of the restaurant. I mentioned that I thought there was no smoking in restaurants to the owner on the way out and he just shrugged his shoulders. Needless to say we didn't go back and won't until it changes. Not all are like this though and we found some great smoke free ones. Stick to the bigger better known restaurants if you have a problem with smoke when eating or drinking.
tenerife was really smokey, but we just went outside.
OK, need to get off my butt now and get to the gym.....:rolleyes1

I have a lovely day planned. After the gym I'm off into town to meet my friend for coffee, then we're going to see Eclipse :cloud9: then off to Jamie Oliver's Italian for early dinner....all to celebrate her 40th tomorrow :woohoo:

Have a good day everybody :hippie:

:littleangel:
Hope you had a good workout, I was at the gym today, ended up running more than I was going to cause I was watching come dine with me.lol,it so funny.

leaning on the piona rhs.
Lynne on the 2007 ones what they did was offer the 7 night one then you could buy it twice for the 14 nights or just have 7 bottles over the 14 nights
thankyou.

Well I've been productive today! Booked the airport bus just in case as only £10 more for the return than singal - still hoping to bag a lift - also sorted out most of my chocies although Dan was sent to get them and he brought Tesco not Cadbury but never mind. They still taste nice!

I feel I'm prepared now!

Oh and I'm going to see Twighlight tonight (Twiglet as I call it) having never seen any of the others! Am I going to get confused?
yes, I would say so.Its on my list of things to do

Finding new house/pet sitter:scared1:

Well everything was going well until our sitter decided they were not available during the time. Now we have to find other arrangements:sad2: Not an easy thing to find for five weeks. We are going to need some prayers for this one as Rylea is a little bit of a special needs with seperation anxiety and fear of storms. She is to the point that she bent the bars on her metal crate a couple years back. There is always the option of putting her in the luggage but she would take up my limit. Guess its one outfit for me for the 5 weeks. I'll be spending alot of time in the laundry rooms :goodvibes

Jon
Jon, I can really sympathise, not sure what we would do if Alison from my work didnt take the beagles, its such a huge worry, when I worked in the vets I used to house sit for some nice clients(with very nice houses) I done it cause I knew what it was like to go on holiday and worry , any notices up in your vets?

I have now got my new computer .... :yay::yay:

DIS looks great on a 23 " monitor as opposed to a 15 " which is what I have had for the past 11 years.

O how funny me and my DBB call it TWIGLET as well, i thought that was only us :rotfl:

saddly i'm not a fan.... we went to see the original film while on hoilday in Disneyland ... and i fell asleep halfway through :sad2::sad2::sad2:

My DBB nudged me awake and said lets go eat :rotfl: so we walked out and went to bubba gump LOL

She has since read all of the books and really like them, i just found the films a little to dreary for my taste.

St. Martin--use US dollars

Gibraltar--use Euros

All this talk about smoking got me wondering. Is smoking allowed on the US to Spain flights? That would really make me .

We bought US travellers cheques because DCL will cash them into Euros when we need them for Gibraltar and Madeira. They also cash them into US dollars, too. We have some cash and VISA, but didn't want to be carrying tons of cash through Barcelona - so the traveler's cheques seemed like a good way to have cashless cash and not rely on VISA the whole way.

Been out most of the day, and only 2 pages to read! What's going on? Do people have real lives too?? :rotfl2:

PIN REMINDER PAYMENT DUE BY JULY 21, 2010

Connie wanted me to let people know that a list of the people who have purchased pins and have paid is now available on page one of the thread.

List has been posted to post 5 on page one.http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=37140824&postcount=5

Please check the list to be sure you have the correct number of pins posted with your DIS name.

in order for her to order the pins for us to have by our sail date, Connie needs to have payment in full for the pins by July 21, 2010.

I repeat her instructions on payment from her original post with some additional instructions:

The pins cost 4,50 Euro each. You can pay the money for the pins on Noel's PayPal or on Patrick's PayPal account. Maybe the cost for people who live in America is less if you pay on Noel's account, she will send the money to Patrick's account.

Noel's PayPal account is birkner@needinfo.com
Patrick's PayPal account is p.vanmaaren@chello.nl

Please send your money to one of us with your DIS name and number of pins ordered. You must pay for your pins before 21 July so we can order the pins on time and also the numbers of pins we want. After 21 July, we can't order any pins.

When you pay Noel, you must first do a practice transaction in Euros to determine how much to send to her. Do not complete the transaction. Just use it as an example.

Here is an example of how you determine what to pay for one pin:
Gift For €4.50 EUR
p.vanmaaren@chello.nl
Personal Member
(equal to $5.90 USD)
I will pay the fee:
€0.02 EUR
Your total charge:
€4.52 EUR
Patrick will receive:
€4.50 EUR

Connie plans to hand out the pins at our DIS meet on September 18. If you can not attend the meet, please let her or I know. We can then make special arrangements to get the pins to you at a later time.

If you have any questions or concerns, please either PM myself or Connie.

Noel

Thanks to you and Connie for organising this :thumbsup2

:littleangel:

I am in the first one!

Oooooh I shall search for you too Connie :thumbsup2

Don't bother buying a boa from Ebay.....they probably sell them at your local hobby shop or craft store. If they don't, I will bring you one from Michaels crafts. They are less than $10, and I usually can find coupons for 40% off each week. I will dig out the ones I have here at home....and I am sure I have some plastic tiaras for those who can't find them....or don't have them for formal night.

Connie

Do you have another spare pleeeeeeeease?! I reckon the original should have the proper attire! :rotfl::thumbsup2

I have now got my new computer .... :yay::yay:

NOT a Twilight fan! ;) Guess its more a girl thing......maybe? I really loved Eclipse today, thought it was very well made and true to the book....and *sigh* Edward looked so lovely!;)

Our dinner at Jamie's was wonderful too...can highly recommended it :cool1:

:littleangel:

Just an FYI, me and Angel chatted away on a thread one day and dreamed up the champagne girls. We wanted to do a champagne tasting and all of our girls were to wear pink with pink tiaras....the pink boas came later. We wanted a picture to put in a pink frame above our bars at home. We have a mascot, Sassy Bubbles, who dresses like a pink tink.
