Noel, happy you were not hurt; very scary, especially when the GKs are on board.

Someone hit my son and the airbags deployed. The damage wasn't that bad but they totaled the 7 yr old car because it cost so much to repack the airbags!

Thank you for you kind sentiments. I was lucky it was just me in the car and airbags did not deploy.

I'm also (always) trying hard to lose weight--let's keep encouraging each other!

Andrea

Great idea!!

Wow!!! I leave Thursday morning and get home yesterday night and there is 58 pages!!! Thank goodness I don't have any more trips planned before the cruise!!

Hubby and I drove down to a little town called Arbovale, WV which is right next to Green Bank Observatory. It took us just over four and half hours which was great time.

We were met by an excited menagerie of animals
Guinea Hens and Chickens

when we say they live up the holler, I mean up the holler. no one else at the end of this gravel drive.

This was the down time I needed.

Speaking of "clothing optional" I wonder if anyone will spot the famous "naked man of Barcelona" on Las Ramblas. :rotfl2:

Maybe the DON'T butter their bread, thus the weight loss. :confused3:rotfl2::rotfl:

INFORMATION UPDATE ABOUT LANYARD PINS

Connie and I want to update you on the paid and unpaid status of the lanyard pins. If you look at the excel spreadsheet below, you will see we have 127 pins ordered by the DISers.

Please check your pin amount and payment information to be sure it is correct. If not, please PM either Connie at Con5421 or me.

Pins will be available for pickup after 10:30 AM in the Magic boarding area of the Barcelona terminal or at the DIS meet. If you can not pick up your pins at either time, please PM Connie or me to make arrangements to have them delivered to your stateroom.

Connie also wanted to let you know there are a few pins that are on order that have not been promised to DISers if someone is still interested. You can either PM Connie or me if you are interested in purchasing one or more of the extra pins. The payment instructions are the same and the pins can be paid by PayPal to either Connie or me.

I just have more time to research as I am retired and an empty nester. Plus, today I am just lazing around not doing much.

Noel - glad to hear your not hurt. You might want to be prepared to have the insurance company total your car and consider your options. Some insurance companies will pay you off and allow your to retain salvage. Then you can get the car fixed yourself. The issues with that are that the insurance company won't let you retain physical damage coverage on that car and the state will mark the registration as "salvage". This can make it difficult to sell in the future. However, if you like the car, i.e. it has low milage, the frame isn't damaged, and you want to take responsibility for either fixing it yourself or driving it as is (as long it doesn't have what the police would consider equiptment issues) it is an option.

Thank you for your kind words of concern and your advice. I guess we will have to cross that bridge when and if it arrives...

Interesting! One site that was posted here said that they tend to dress up a bit more than we do in the USA. :lmao::lmao: In Montana we dress up just a bit more than this!!

Maybe those guys didn't get the dress code memo?

But...
Reminds me of me... I wanted to get a tattoo when I was like 18/19 years old. And my dad was totally against it. I DID NOT dare to get myself inked, because he got so mad.

I FINALLY got my tattoo two years ago at the age of 34. And can you image?!? I was still afraid to tell my Dad about it :lmao:

I was about the same age when I got mine and didn't tell my mom for months. She finally saw it when I forgot and wore a tank top in front of her. Turns out my worry was for nothing because she just looked at it and said it was cute. I was ready for a scolding.

Now the motorcycle I got 5 years ago?? She still doesn't know about that!

Here's an updated map with a couple of requested sites added.

Barcelona_Map_Updated.jpg

Can we get El Corte Ingles added to the map? Sorry, I don't have an address, I just keep seeing it mentioned as a great place to pick up various items....ie. booze!
