With respect to health issues, I didn't tell my DD's story to scare anyone, only to warn you that they didn't seem to take my DD's health concerns very seriously. I was expecting them to be more through and was very disappointed when DCL did not seem to be concerned with a serious misdiagnosis. If you have any concerns before you sail, you should review them with your own physician and get their recommendation.

If we would have thought at the onset that DD's sore leg was anything even slightly more serious, we would have had her seen before we left. She had been over exercising so all of us (including her) thought is was sore muscles.

When the pain persisted even though she was resting, I think they might have recommended we see a physician before we flew home. I specifically asked them that question and was told, no need, just get plenty of rest. Only an over zealous Mom like me insisted she see a Doctor which resulted in her hospitalization.

Just my thoughts.....
:surfweb:

I, for one, am glad you posted. Everything else is usually top notch and I would rather be informed so that I can take precautions than assume that DCL would be prepared. At least now I know that if something happens, it can be serious. For all I know, I might have waited, if something goes wrong and it might be too late. On our first visit to FL, my oldest DD (about 12) at the time, got so dehyrated after 1 week there, that upon entering Universal, she got sick but I didn't notice. 1 hr after getting in, we ended up in their clinic and were in there for 3 hrs. They finally recommended we go back to our hotel room and hyrdate her. I had no clue. We live in SoCal and she plays sports nothing like this had EVER happened to her. I felt bad but really, I didn't realize how bad she was until after the fact.

Also, we have been on board when there have been medical emergencies and other more drastic events. I guess I need to pay more attn to that and realize there's a reason they call for back-up. I must never forget CC and first PC cruise. :sad2:

Noel - I am glad you said something - we all need to know especially since we all seem to have some type of health issue, and I say that with the utmost love and smiles. Scary or not, it is good to know since we will be smack dab in the middle of the ocean for 5 days!!!

Glad you were a persistent mother. I would have done the samre thing!

I second that. :thumbsup2

Howdy everyone,
Figured I’d better check in. I’ve been reading this board for a while now. I have been informed, educated and entertained about the WBTA by you intrepid Disney cruisers, thanks.

We have felt the Magic twice before. Our DDIL and DS (HallsofVA) shanghaied us onto a Magical Western Caribbean cruise on 12/3/05. Then we joined them for a Magical Eastern Caribbean on 12/6/08.

Ahhh, one more time into the breach me lads and lassies. It will be exciting to cross the pond again at least this time it won’t be haze gray and underway. We had a DIS board presence before but it was so close to my DDIL’s that decided to create a new one to quell confusion.

DW Mona and I are looking forward to meeting y’all and experiencing the MAGIC once again.
John (aka Commodore Jack)

:welcome: aboard (again) Commodore Jack (John)

Thanks, will do; however, I am being called away rite now. Must go, bye.

:wave2:

What on earth do you do when we're at sea for 5 days and there's just a couple of shops to look round, do they swap any of the merchandise out to make you want to revisit, or is it the same every day??

SW

Nope - same thing but that doesn't stop me from looking. :rotfl:

Since quite a few of you are posting how long you have been married, I thought I would share some news that I don't believe I have shared before. Joi and I got legally married in Washington DC on March 14 of this year with our grown children and our daughter-in-law as well as all of my family and a lot of friends in attendence. On March 15 we celebrated 23 years together. We would have had the ceremony on March 15, but it was too hard to get everyone there on a Monday. We are using this cruise as our belated honeymoon, if you can call it that afer 23 years.

First: CONGRATULATIONS! That is definitely cause for a celebration.

Second, reading about anniversaries and I suddenly realized......DH and I will have been married 20 yrs on July 21st, (civilly) and 15 yrs by the church AND YES! I do make him celebrate both - means more present or candy for me. ;) :teeth:

A honeymoon is a honeymoon, personally...the later the better, you can relax more and enjoy each other.

Annie

Hear, hear, :thumbsup2
'
Well guest got back from seeing toy story 3. I was a good movie. I was surprise that the theater only had 15 people in it. Maybe it was they showing it on 4 screens.

I also think that Disney is stalking me. On Friday on my way to work I see this
4736579243_11716816e2.jpg

It on the outskirts of Reading, pa. It a mile from my house. I going to see it every day. I think they want me to book more cruises.

Stephen

Stephen, apparently you haven't given the ::MickeyMo enough of your money so now he's :magnify: for you. :lmao:

We can have this discussion at our Curvalicious meet!

I was on the EBPC that was going super-fast and I did almost give up. Just couldn't keep up with the rest of my life if I kept up with the thread. But then I regretted it once I got on board because I wish I had taken more time to get to know everyone. (Hence the effort now!!)

She holds her phone in her left hand, as do I. When I called Apple, at first the guy was a real smart-a$$ and told me to hold the phone in my right hand. (Mine started dropping calls too) After I spoke to his supervisor, they said Apple was working 24/7 on a solution. I told him the smart-a$$ answer I first received was about as helpful as if Toyota had told people to start using their left foot for the brakes. I told them the world was watching how they took care of this and I was well within my 30 days of getting my cash back.

Other than the fact that I can't use my phone for calls, I love my iphone. The Barcelona City guide fits (my old iphone was only 8gbs) All of my pages of Disney apps fit. I now have iMovie. Love that. Can't wait for the fix....

:scratchin wonder if that is why I'm all of a sudden I'm getting lots of dropped calls. I'm also left-handed but just recently switched to the 3Gs after having my original iPhone for all this time. I may just wait until after they get this particular bug worked out.

Believe it not, the 2008 WBPC canal thread is still going. I think they are on part now 17 now after the new rules came into affect.

I remember there was a competition who could post the most but the EBPC won hands down.

Did they ever, I remember posting on the way to the port as did some other people, we asked the last one to post to "please leave the light on." :)

:welcome: sea rogues! :goodvibes...

I sure hope everyone is all better by the time we cruise.

Allow me a moment with my insurance horror story.:headache: My leg hurt all last week, so after I drove in pain to see my 94 y/o Dad on Father's Day I figured I needed to have it checked out. The xray showed something that the doctor wants a better look at so he ordered an MRI. The insurance company still has it in medical review. So he sent me for a Doppler to make sure it wasn't a blood clot. (it wasn't) He ordered pain meds which made me sick as a dog, so I'm in bed this nice sunny weekend!! :sad2::sad2::sad2:

I really wanted to start getting ready for the 5k. Currently I can barely make it upstairs to my bedroom. :guilty::guilty:

I am looking at a first class sleeper - just haven't found anyone that has used one, so I am hemming and hawing about getting it...

Sue? Ask DisneySweetie. She got really lucky (after having a horrible experience and missing her flight on the 2007 WBTA. She ended up in First Class and used a sleeper. PM her or maybe she'll catch this post. Pam? Sue needs your review! ;)

I was going through some photos this afternoon and found this photo of me and my brother taken in October 1980 at Disneyland (our first visit).

When we get to Disneyland this October, it will be within a few days of being 30 years ago.

4737053517_753b001d45.jpg

Must of been late summer or early fall. Main Street by the carnation cafe?

You are completely right! I was on the EBPC, and had been reading the Disboards for almost a year, but was too intimidated to join in on the discussion. I wish I had because once on board I regretted it. Even so...I have been reading this thread "off and on" since we booked our trip a year and a half ago, and just recently joined. I guess I didn't learn from my mistake.

I've been lucky enough to have done all PC's and the first time I came across a "large" DIS group was the 2005 WBPC. I was so intimidated by the size that I looked on from the edges. But when the WBPC came around, I was determined to have the same fun and so I just jumped in. I've never looked back again. :)

How about this for coincidences? My SIL is really excited about her son's wedding on July 9th. She describes her dress to me on FB and sends me a picture. For about the 5th time we have been at the same type event, she has picked the same thing. She picked the exact dress and the same color I was going to wear to the wedding.

The last time this happened was her son's graduation where we showed up in the same dress. This time, I am going to wear a different dress. I am SO glad she emailed me a picture of the dress! I know she told me her dress was one of a kind but oh, well...

OK - this is just too weird. For future references, I would say, so SIL? show me what your wearing. :rotfl2:

OK, all caught up and definitely tired. We had DD's club volleyball party today and all the cleaning up has done me in. First time we've been 100% cleaned up on the same night of a party. Off to bed for me. (Maybe)

Night night everybody.

We are having a run of bad luck / health her right now, aren't we? :confused3
I hope you get some relief soon. :flower3:

I was amazed when Glenn told me about the left hand thing - and I was floored when he said that it woiul dmean re emgineering the phone... What a crock...

I am also looking at moving movies on to both for the flight over. I am hoping that we will all sleep but I don't think that we will as we are leaving at 6pm... But if a movie helps the kids chill out and sleep than so be it... Me, I am going to ask my doc for Ambien... :) Any other ideas? I hate to fly, so anything I can do to help myself relax and sleep would be appreciated. I am looking at a first class sleeper - just haven't found anyone that has used one, so I am hemming and hawing about getting it...

I think I'll stick with my current iPhone instead of upgrading until all the glitches are ironed out! ;)
With the kids on a plane, whatever works to keep the peace! :thumbsup2
As you know I am looking at the 1st class sleeper too, I posted a message on the main board and didn't get any responses, Is that a good or bad sign? :confused3

The only sad thing about our cruise was the big red faced women, wearing a daft expression who took my place in all the photo`s. Where did she come from?

These strangers keep getting into my photos too!!!!:lmao:

So true. I just plan to be having some Melatonin to sleep on the plane myself!

That is what I take on the overnight flights now. Works well.

Believe it not, the 2008 WBPC canal thread is still going. I think they are on part now 17 now after the new rules came into affect.

I remember there was a competition who could post the most but the EBPC won hands down.

Well the EBPC did have 3 months more of exciting postings than us!!!;)

s... I am amazed that the meet threads keep going so long after the cruise. Although, I was on this moms list 14 years ago when pregnant with Stephen and we are still going strong with over 75 members. We hit max membership at 120 moms to be. We are a close group of friends that have never met. With all of us bound and determined to meet in 80 some odd days, I wonder how many lasting friendships will be made? Hmmm... Will be interesting to follow... If I can keep up...

There have been some very close and long lasting friendships formed from the '08 WBPC thread/cruise. People meet up all the time, plan cruises together and a group are even getting together for Thanksgiving in Chicago this year. I think having something in common already(Disney, if you need telling;)) plus having chatted for many months makes such a difference. We have been over to Orlando 4 times since the cruise and have met up with WBPC friends each time. :thumbsup2

I have to say that this thread has a very similar feel to that one, and some wonderful people too, so I think you will find you make some good friends.

Spent yesterday helping my sister empty her attic so missed yesterday on the boards! Catch up time!

I'm thinking we should put together an English to English to English dictionary so that none of us get ourselves in trouble over certain words! :rotfl:

LOL definately and some Australianisms as theres some from down that way that we struggle with!

Greetings all - got back yesterday from the Baltic cruise. It was brilliant and I can say for sure we are all going to have a fab time on the WBTA.
If you`ve any questions just ask!
I`ll attempt to catch up on this thread in the next few days!

Hope you had a fab time! We want all the gossip!

If we want to do the pins i can contact the company's..

OH now I might be depending on what it looks like etc!

Well, I have been trying on my clothes again, last night at work I booked the train to take us to Manchester, I dont suppose anybody else is staying at manchester airport on the tuesday evening???
We are staying at the raddsin blu.
Today I was running, and my leg was all good, I know you are all thinking, yeah right whatever but Im so excited that its finally getting better after a year of physio and faffing with it.:goodvibes:goodvibes
Another lovely day here in scotland, was busy busy the fell asleep in the sun:cloud9:
Anyway have to cut our HUGE beech hedges tom and I hate it, but I need to just get on and do them.
CAnt wait to meet you all.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:yay::yay:

Lynne Im with you! I'm so excited! 12 weeks and counting now! Its mad!

Today has been a rough day. Finally got to the dentist, and what I was expecting (root canal and crown) turned into 4 crowns and a fracture that went straight to the pulp of the tooth - so it was extracted, and I will need to go for an implant.

Oh sounds nasty! Hope it goes OK with the implant!

Am hoping several of you post during the crossing, we are thinking of doing a crossing in 11 :boat:

Probably going to do a report when I get back but Im sure others on here will while we are away?

I has my MRI on Wednesday. I still do have the results yet. I talk to the doctor today and do not have the results yet. I don't know if that a good thing or a bad thing. At lease i was not in pain this time at the MRI, because I was drug out of my mind. They gave me 2 high doses of xanax. Some on could have shot me and i would have not cared. I will share the results when i know.

Stephen

Stephen keep us posted! Fingers crossed its OK.

Trying to figure out what my next step will be. My homeowner's insurance is not going to cover the loss of the hearing aid. They said it had to have been lost due to something happening to the house (break in, fire, earthquake, etc). I am now shopping for an a different insurance carrier and told them so, as I know many other companies do cover loss of personal property outside of te home.

I would like to get DS a replacement before school starts, but with expenses tight due to the cruise, I don't know where the money is going to come from.

Oh no! That's not good!

Now that I have logistics addressed and for the most part excursions, I'm starting to think about more of the details.

For those of you who have been to Gibraltar and Madeira before, are you aware of a place that you can purchase a postcard and stamp at that port-of-call and drop it off for delivery? When traveling to new, unique places, I like to send picturesque postcards back home so it documents the location as well as dates when we were there. Besides, it's always enjoyable to receive when it arrives and great for the scrapbook!

Gibraltar had one in the terminal last time we were there.

Unfortunately hearing aids are not covered under medical insurance either. All his visits and testing are covered but the devices are not. We had to come out of pocket completely for them. Fortunately my mom helped with them the first time around. And she offered to help this time as well. But she had already given me her motherly advice regarding this cruise and she doesn't think we should go. I still haven't told her that we are past the point of no return. Yes, I am a grown woman and still afraid of my mommy.

Oh Im so sorry! Is there anyway maybe you could move the cruise date or do you loose money doing that too? I know its past the 90 days but isn't there anyway of doing anything with this one? Can you maybe downgrade your cabin, get money back that way or anything?

Dave, my sister and I are going to an amusement park in Lancaster tomorrow to meet up with my other dear friend, her husband and their 2 year old daughter. She was a bridesmaid in the wedding and her daughter was my flower girl. I've never been there - it's called Dutch Wonderland and I can imagine it's no Disney, but it will be a fun day regardless. I am really excited to see them because even though they only live in Maryland, we don't get to see each other very often. It should be fun!!!

Have fun! :jumping1:

Yes, not sure if I posted, I thought I did but I can't find it - my experience (after waiting 1 full year with the intention of waiting more) after was "Why the heck did I wait so long?" I know now what my triggers are and avoid them. I can eat almonds, cashews but not a lot of peanuts. Salads which I love and can't go without eating one every day, will loosen the bowels a bit but then I'm ok and its worth it. Raw onions are a definiate no-no. Dairy has to be SUPER-LOW doses but cheese is alright. I have also NOT had an attack even remotely close since I've gotten operated on. I was under about 1 hr more than normal because the doc said I had various stones that were creating a back-up and he had some trouble getting them all out. He also said I was a disaster waiting to happen. DH got worried when I didn't come out of surgery in the promised time and thought something had happened. But the surgery time combined with my in-hospital recovery time (I'm a bad patient) made for me to be the 3rd one operated on and the last to leave that same evening. Mine was outpatient surgery.

What's important is to know what your triggers are, avoid them as best you can and take it slow. I didn't get staples but stitches and when I came home my furrkid missed me and took a flying leap onto my bed and I tell you, if I didn't know any better I'd of said that she aimed it perfectly, she didn't, I did pop a stitch but the scar isn't too bad. And she really felt bad after it from all the screaming DH did. I thought I was going to have to intervene. Poor baby. She wouldn't leave my left side for 4 hrs.

Thanks Laura, Your poor DH, He must have been beside himself with worry. I'm glad everything went well with your surgery, besides the popped stitch! My furbaby would be exactly the same, they definitely know when you aren't well, My Holly won't leave my side. :lovestruc
After the positive experiences I've read here I'm starting to think "Why wait", but the truth is I really am pretty good when I watch what I eat. Funnily, Everyone with gallbladder issues seem to have similar food triggers - Coffee, Alcohol, nuts, raw onion, dairy, excessive fat, etc... My next ultrasound is scheduled for December, I'll probably have it taken out after Christmas unless something changes between now and then.
Thanks for sharing :flower3:, I really appreciate it

As you know I am looking at the 1st class sleeper too, I posted a message on the main board and didn't get any responses, Is that a good or bad sign? :confused3

PAM?????

:mic: Your friends need to pick your brain on the sleepers....care to fill them in? ;)

Good morning from yet another sunny day in Wales ... so many warm sunny days in a run has been unheard of in recent years so it makes a lovely change.

Great blog Sue .... thanks for sharing :thumbsup2

Doctor on board is pretty useless. DD had terrible pain in her leg. He said just rest, it must be sprain. Turned out she had a blood clot in her leg that by continuing to walk traveled into her lungs. When we got off the ship, she ended up first in emergency, then in the hospital for a week in Florida.

When we queried DCL about this, they were very unconcerned. Never did get an apology or any real reason why they did not take her pain seriously.

Crikey, that is a bit of a worry, a sudden onset, unusual pain in the leg especially after a flight would straight way scream "DVT" to any health professional I would have thought.

:fish: :lmao: :fish:

I guess it did! Time to get started on another phase. Hopefully the little guy will show up! :fish:

Is the fish a hint to what your gift is Kimberly .... I am intrigued ......

John (aka Commodore Jack)

Hi .....:welcome: aboard. We are Sarah and Tony from Wales on our 2nd DCL cruise. Lovely to meet you.

Hi All!

I've posted now and then, but have mostly been absent from these discussions due to a killer work and travel schedule, and notice that there are a lot more folks posting here now. I'm Richard, and my DW is the Lady Jacky. She's English, I'm American, but we've both lived in Toronto, Canada for quite some years now. (Toronto's a great compromised between London and NYC!).

My DW and I celebrated our 30th anniversary with a cruise on the Magic Eastern Caribbean, January 17th, 2009. Following the cruise, there was a lot of moping on the boards from those of us on that cruise, it was so great - yet we found that there were a lot of us from the 1/17/09 cruise who had also booked for the WBTA, so I'm curious: How many of you were also on that cruise? Here's a partial list of folks that had booked:

fltink
Futurist
mmouse37
4Goofy4Dis
RCostello1
Sparky47
Maxs GM
Ibouncetoo
Narnian_Princess

I haven't seen many of these names on this set of boards. Are any of you still here and still planning to be on board?

And to the rest of you who weren't there, we will look forward to meeting you all on board.

Finally, to all you pirates, princesses, fun-sized folks, and soon to be shipmates:

TAKE WHAT YOU CAN!!! pirate:

Richard

Welcome back to the thread, apart from Ibouncetoo who had to jump ship, I don't recall any of those other DISes posting on here.

The only sad thing about our cruise was the big red faced women, wearing a daft expression who took my place in all the photo`s. Where did she come from?

I have a strange frumpy woman who does that on my photos too ....

Since quite a few of you are posting how long you have been married, I thought I would share some news that I don't believe I have shared before. Joi and I got legally married in Washington DC on March 14 of this year with our grown children and our daughter-in-law as well as all of my family and a lot of friends in attendence. We are using this cruise as our belated honeymoon, if you can call it that afer 23 years.

Congratulations on your wedding. and what a special honeymoon you have to look forward to still. Ifyou had done it all together your honeymoon would now be over.

I do have some pirate pins - pirate donald, mickey etc - I'd be happy to send you (or anyone else) photos of what I have or post pics here if someone wants to "bags" one to trade?

That would be great :thumbsup2 .... I can check them out and see if you have any I don't already have. I can also show you my trades if you like. Send me a PM or email SarahTony2002@aol.com

Allow me a moment with my insurance horror story.:headache: My leg hurt all last week, so after I drove in pain to see my 94 y/o Dad on Father's Day I figured I needed to have it checked out. I really wanted to start getting ready for the 5k. Currently I can barely make it upstairs to my bedroom.

Oh no ... this sounds horrible. Hope you can get things sorted and the pain stops soon. Sending :hug:

I was going through some photos this afternoon and found this photo of me and my brother taken in October 1980 at Disneyland (our first visit).

When we get to Disneyland this October, it will be within a few days of being 30 years ago.

4737053517_753b001d45.jpg

Now this is really cute. :goodvibes:goodvibes

How very strange ..... good job you checked. Great minds definitely think alike in your cases !!!!

:lmao::rotfl2: What the Cpt is leaving out was that by the end of the cruise, many more people than DIS-er's were saying that too. The Cpt would enter the dining room and bellow it out - and from all ends of the room, you would hear the response. Regular Cruisers would look at us like what the heck? But you know they were thinking what am I missing. Especially on pirate: night.

Now this would be really funny :rotfl:

There have been some very close and long lasting friendships formed from the '08 WBPC thread/cruise. People meet up all the time, plan cruises together and a group are even getting together for Thanksgiving in Chicago this year. I think having something in common already(Disney, if you need telling;)) plus having chatted for many months makes such a difference. I have to say that this thread has a very similar feel to that one, and some wonderful people too, so I think you will find you make some good friends.

Having friends who have Disney in common always makes for wonderful friendships. We met some families through the DIS Disneyland Paris forum about 5 years ago ... we then started our own small group and have been meeting up ever since. We have shared a wedding, two births ( one more impending ), milestone birthdays and have laughed and cried with each other through good times and bad times. Disney always gives you a really special bond.:hug:

So do we need to bring our own flashlights, or do they have them there for you to use? We really want to see the caves.

Afraid you have to bring your own!

Our EBPC thread ended on #17 or 18 but that's not counting the huge thread we had going before the 250 page rule. It was not uncommon to have 10-15 pages per HOUR let alone per day.

OK can we not all aim for this please as 20 a day is hard enough!

Ok I am only up to page 200 but I keep loosing my saved things so I am replying now and will go back to page 200 after this post.

LOL I know the feeling! I've started at home trying to reply to 15 pages at a time! At work I don't have the multi-post option so get to struggle through!

and finally ..... on time and correct this week ..... let me give you the countdown

ONLY 12 WEEKS UNTIL WE BOARD THE DISNEY MAGIC !!!!

WOHOWOWOWOWOW

Oh, a question for all the Brits....

I was going to complete the ESTA forms today.....but do we still do this even though we're not flying into the US??? I'm a little confused (for a change) :confused3

What else do we need to do? Do we still have Advanced Passenger Information to fill out too....as well as the Cruise forms? :confused3

Yes you still fill it in

This board is totally addictive!! I don't even know you guys and your a bad influence on me! See this :surfweb: this is me this morning when I should be doing laundry, cutting grass, cleaning house, oh and I guess spending time with my family :rolleyes1. I'm just afraid I'm going to miss something if I don't check frequently.

LOL I know!

Back to the ESTA........if it asks for flight number and we're cruising, what do we put?? :confused3

You can choose Cruiseline where its got flight company etc. Hopefully that makes sense. They then ask for Carrier Name and I put Disney Magic!

Howdy everyone,
Figured I’d better check in. I’ve been reading this board for a while now. I have been informed, educated and entertained about the WBTA by you intrepid Disney cruisers, thanks.

Hi John & Mona! I'm Sarah and travelling with my other half Dan. This is my 6th cruise and his first.

We'll also have an anniversary (10/1) on this cruise--33 years! I was a child bride... :lovestruc

It will also be my husband Greg's 55th Birthday on 9/20.

And "hi" to all our Virginia neighbors!
my
Andrea

Congrats!

The only sad thing about our cruise was the big red faced women, wearing a daft expression who took my place in all the photo`s. Where did she come from?

LOL I don't know but she keeps appearing in all my pictures too so if you catch her tell her she should butt out lol!

All this talk of shopping makes me wonder how i'm going to manage on the cruise.

I love shopping!!!

What on earth do you do when we're at sea for 5 days and there's just a couple of shops to look round, do they swap any of the merchandise out to make you want to revisit, or is it the same every day??

SW

LOL! They didn't change the shops much on the ones in 2007 but did have different specials each day. They did add sale stuff from the med cruises towards the end of the cruise, but whether they will on this one I'm not sure as they are going back to the med next year for def where as in 07 there weren't plans to return to the med so??????

Since quite a few of you are posting how long you have been married, I thought I would share some news that I don't believe I have shared before. Joi and I got legally married in Washington DC on March 14 of this year with our grown children and our daughter-in-law as well as all of my family and a lot of friends in attendence. On March 15 we celebrated 23 years together. We would have had the ceremony on March 15, but it was too hard to get everyone there on a Monday. We are using this cruise as our belated honeymoon, if you can call it that afer 23 years.

Congratulations!

Oh Steffy sorry! Hope you feel better soon!

LOL! Oh dear!

I made arrangements for 11 of us on Thursday. They have vehicles that will hold up to 12 or the 50 passenger buses. I would love to have you and Kimmy join us, but we would be over the capacity. :sad2:

Have I mentioned I'm very excited to have our DIS Meets over dinner next week?!!! :goodvibes:goodvibes
(I won't be there Kimberly - I'll still be on the Magic in the Med!! :woohoo:)
And I'm SUPER excited about our DIS Meet also!! Only 3 more days... :cool1:

Regarding our EBPC thread, yes the pace of it did put off some folks so we created a separate discussion board specifically for cruise planning for those that did not want to keep up with the chatter. Still there were some who could not / would not participate. We had so many DIS families that it was difficult to find something that worked for everyone. I personally enjoyed the threads and have made some lasting friendships because of all the hours spent chatting.
Even those of us who didn't spend hours chatting made some lasting friendships too! :thumbsup2

Yes Kimmy - Trevoy and you will be a riot. :lmao:

Kimberly, very easy to get postcards from ANY souvenir shop and the stamps are sold at a tobacco shop. There's mailboxes along the way and a drop box I believe at the terminal and other locations in town. I write myself a postcard at each port with the date, the weather and arrival time so that when I get it at home, I can picture it in my brain and I can relive the moment. :cloud9:

Kimmy? Now you're just starting trouble. :rotfl2:
Laura, we'll look for your photography skills to be able to capture both Trevoy and I in the same shot! :lmao:
And thanks for the postcard tips - I love this!!
And when it come to shoes, it's no trouble at all...

LOL! They didn't change the shops much on the ones in 2007 but did have different specials each day. OOOOH! I can handle going back to look for sales!! :dance3:

Another of my favourite places, Anstruther is lovely! Have a good time :)
It was great len :thumbsup2had fish and chips
Oh, a question for all the Brits....

I was going to complete the ESTA forms today.....but do we still do this even though we're not flying into the US??? I'm a little confused (for a change)

What else do we need to do? Do we still have Advanced Passenger Information to fill out too....as well as the Cruise forms?
....Just need to get it all straight in my head before I start! (can't beleive I've forgotten all this in the 3 years since we last visited!) :rolleyes1

Thanks for the help!:
Mind as well we have to fill out advanced passenger info for spain also.
I need the dictionary!!
Well, you use one hand for one one thing and the other to hold the door closed!!Wheelie bin = wheelbarrow???

Have a lovely day on the boat. Hug your parents for me!!

your so sweet

WELCOME
But you don't worry about it so much! ;)
:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
Still have pain. It not constant pain just when I use it and after. Also having some swelling. I had another MRI last Wednesday. I going to get the result on Monday

Stephen

I was like that for 3 weeks, last year, I hobbled everyewhere rather than walked, give it time and be patient.
I hope you have a great time!

I was with 1st MAW from 93 to 96 (I also did 6 month deployments to 1st MAW in 84 and 85/86).

I love the smell of jet fuel too!
Me too, I love it, also the smell of diesel, dad was a deisel mechanic before he retired from he was 14 years old!!, it minds me of my child hood that smell, dad coming home from work.:cloud9:
We ordered PIZZA!!!:rotfl:

Pizza is the yummiest thing ever:thumbsup2 enjoy.

I hope you had a fabulous time at the wedding. We are going to my nephew's wedding in July in a beautiful winery. Wedding's always make me feel sentimental.

Thank you Noel, it was lovely. Tiring but lovely! The bridegroom has a serious kidney disease and has just got over a very bad patch, and his lovely bride Alice is bi-polar and has also suffered badly recently, so as you can imagine it was a very emotional wedding. They had some fantastic fireworks later on in the evening (for UK people they were done by the same people who do Big Brothers fireworks, apparently) :cool1:

So do I!!! We will do a little chinwagging on the cruise too!!!

a little? I bet there will chins waggling 24/7!:rotfl2:

UKANGEL - how is your daughter doing? I was thinking about her and hope things are well.

That is so nice of you to ask! She is doing better thank you. I shall be bringing her home on Tuesday for a week as her house share finishes then, and the flat for her new year doesn't begin for another week. It will be nice to have her home for a short while. She has gotten used to the increase in her meds now and is thinking of going to counselling so thats quite positive for her........I wil never really relax though I think :rolleyes1

Hi there and welcome!

Welcome to Sea Rogues!

A few notes from our Baltic cruise.
We could only book a Palo dinner online but got brunch and afternoon tea when we boarded. I think we`ll just go for brunch next time.
Villains party - only saw one person dressed up.
I won`t stress about clothing for our WBTA. I bought a hoodie the first evening and lived in that. I did make an effort for dinner but I`ll take alot less in September. People looked smart but not overly dressed up on formal night.
Me and DD were thrilled to learn from Captain John that he lives 20 minutes away from us. IASWAA!

The only sad thing about our cruise was the big red faced women, wearing a daft expression who took my place in all the photo`s. Where did she come from?

Thanks for that info! oh...........and that some flippin' woman makes her way into my photos too!!:lmao:

I can confirm it's super hot here too ;) in fact i think it's even hotter on this side of town :rotfl:
SW

:rotfl: Is that coz you're on the posher side of town? :rotfl:

 Aw, congratulations!

What is an API form?
:

'Advanced passenger Information' Paula :)

We can have this discussion at our Curvalicious meet!

It's a date!:thumbsup2

With all the DIS activities every day, who has time to shop?
:lmao::lmao:

Noel! There is ALWAYS time to shop! :cool1::rotfl2:

WOW!!! That is a lot of parts...

That sounds lovely Sue. I can attest to how close friendships can be made on these boards.......................

Mark and I met through the DIS 8 years ago, became friends and married a year later :cloud9: Lasting friendships and soulmates too are found on these very boards!:hug:

Good morning from yet another sunny day in Wales ... so many warm sunny days in a run has been unheard of in recent years so it makes a lovely change.

Isn't it fantastic Sarah?!:cool1: BBQ later after the football!

Pizza is the yummiest thing ever:thumbsup2 enjoy.

....but not recommended at 2 am after drinking!!! (I can say this after last night :rolleyes1)

So pleased Becky is doing better Mandy. You can spoil her a little again this week.:)

I learned a lesson last night... Do NOT try and post after taking pain meds... Sorry for my AWFUL spelling! :)

Second, reading about anniversaries and I suddenly realized......DH and I will have been married 20 yrs on July 21st, (civilly) and 15 yrs by the church AND YES! I do make him celebrate both - means more present or candy for me. ;) :teeth:

Sue? Ask DisneySweetie. She got really lucky (after having a horrible experience and missing her flight on the 2007 WBTA. She ended up in First Class and used a sleeper. PM her or maybe she'll catch this post. Pam? Sue needs your review! ;)

Sounds like good reason to celebrate!

This is the firstclass sleeper Paula (?) and I are looking at... http://www.1stclasssleeper.com/
It is a pillow that is supposed to make it easiert to get comfy and sleep in a coach sized airline seat.

With the kids on a plane, whatever works to keep the peace! :thumbsup2

As you know I am looking at the 1st class sleeper too, I posted a message on the main board and didn't get any responses, Is that a good or bad sign? :confused3

Your kids have much longer flight than ours do... I hope that they are able to rest!!

I posted there a while back as well. I may hold off and order at the last possible moment so they can be returned if needed. The kids will eventually sleep, and the excitement of Spain will be enough to keep othem going (and going, and going). But I need to be able to rest and sleep to be able to keep up with them, and enjoy the day...

These strangers keep getting into my photos too!!!!:lmao:
...

I have that same woman in all of my photos as well... She needs to butt out!!

I have found some truely wonderful people are on this board - and I hope that I am able to spend time with all! I am not sure that the WBPC thread felt like, but this one is as comfortable as my moms group!

That sounds lovely Sue. I can attest to how close friendships can be made on these boards.......................

Mark and I met through the DIS 8 years ago, became friends and married a year later :cloud9: Lasting friendships and soulmates too are found on these very boards!:hug:

How cool! I know of people that have done internet dating - but ou are the first I have heard of that tried DISdating! :thumbsup2 Congratulations!!!

We need to have a big anniversary party onboard!! There are so many of us that are celebrating on the cruise! And there should be a big birthday party as well!

Welcome, Pop (aka DFIL)! Glad to see you finally step forward and proclaim your existence. Does this mean I should stop posting on your behalf now? And wow, can I just say there are sure a lot of Johns on this cruise!

What unit was he with? I just got back to Stafford from my trip to Camp Lejeune, NC and Chicago. I work at Quantico when I'm not traveling.

I was just in Jacksonville, NC on Friday. I have family down there and stopped by to visit. My dad was a retired Marine Colonel with 33 years service and he was stationed down at Lejeune when I was young. He was one of the Chosin Few.

We'll be having a catered dinner and a private tour of the museum. It should be wonderful. He'll be seeing guys he hasn't seen in about 40 years!

That's awesome! I went to many reunions and events with my dad and it was amazing to see them reconnect with and cry with men they hadn't see in many many years! Enjoy!

I also think that Disney is stalking me. On Friday on my way to work I see this
4736579243_11716816e2.jpg

It on the outskirts of Reading, pa. It a mile from my house. I going to see it every day. I think they want me to book more cruises.

Stephen
Where is this billboard? Is it on 422 by any chance?
Since you ask and I got multiple PM where this billboard is.

The billboard is on business 222 (5th street highway) in Reading. You can only see going southbound, It is on the left hand side after the Target and Giant shopping center. It is before you see Muhlenberg HIgh School.

Happy hunting.
