Camarillo is my home town. On a Friday, there will be lots of traffic as you leave Santa Barbara. The good news is that the outets in Camarillo won't be crownded. Usually its only bad on weekends. Have a safe trip!

LOVE that outlet mall! We're just up and over the grade in Reseda. I am so tempted to take one last stab at the Tommy Bahama outlet before we leave; the only thing wrong with retirement is that the monthly take home is just a bit less than it was; there are times when being responsible is just no fun!

We'll stay home and keep packing, I guess!

Michael

Its a Pirates greeting ....when we be pillaging & plundering are measly lil black hearts out ....Its like saying "Hey whats up" ...lol It started many years ago since the first POTC came out and Mr Gibbs and Captain Jack cheered at the bar in Tortuga ...Then on prior cruises it was something we salty Pirates yelled out to each other on the ship ...again a form of saying Hello ..... heres a video clip from At Worlds End where they do it again ...kind of like a Hello or Goodbye as it were ...

Okay, for us newbies, what am I missing here??

Todd (Disney Vegas 1) posted on the 3000th post of this thread. It was something that was started I think on the 2008 WBPC cruise thread that when you hit a 1000+ milestone, you snagged it with a pirate. Then you would post:
pirate:
TAKE WHAT YOU CAN !!!!!

GIVE NOTHING BACK!!!!!

Am hoping several of you post during the crossing, we are thinking of doing a crossing in 11 :boat:

Yosemite is so beautiful. Yesterday we hiked the Panorama Trail (8.2 miles) from Glacier Point to the Yosemite Valley. We went past three waterfalls. Priceless.

I've been away from the boards for three days, and already there's another 35 pages. I don't know if I'll ever catch up.

Woody

Welcome back Woody. I am so envious!! I wish we had time for Yosemite this year but not looking good.

Part 7 of the thread has been put up ...Please dont post there until the Mods close this thread ...

Those that post on page 1 of the thread with cruise information please do so now at Part 7

Hard Rock Cafe Pre-Cruise Meet has been forwarded.

Woody - your trip sounds beautiful! Where are you going next?

Has anyone had Captain John before? Does he have an accent?

Quite excited as the swimming costume has arrived, and it fits!!!! Wow. It is a skirted one, and I have been waiting for it to come back in stock for ages. I really wasn't expecting it to fit, so just can't believe it. I usually have to go and try on the whole shop before finding one that does, and this was just one I sent for online. If only everything was so simple. Bust support isn't too great, but there you go!!! I don't wander around much, or even hang around in my bathers onboard, so it suits me fine. Another thing to tick of the list.

I'm so glad you got something to fit you well. If it's one thing I hate it's shopping for bathing suits. The best compromise I found so far is swim shorts w/a detached top, because the next thing I hate is trying to pull up a wet one-piece bathing suit after a trip to the potty (or loo, if you prefer). Aaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (That's what a pirate in pain says.)

Hi Everyone!

Thanks to reading these boards, I just got the military discount for our WBTA!! Went from a cat 8 to cat 6 and saved $1360.00!!!

See you all in Barcelona.

Sandy and Tom (yogitxtx)

Yay! I'm so happy for you! :yay::yay::yay:

:thumbsup2 I can vouch for that..... you are lucky if you see Laura before noon most days!! :rotfl: She knows I love her tho.....

oh dear....sounds like me.....I'm not a morning person either :goodvibes

Not sure how our weather translates, but 96 on Wednesday, 94 yesterday and 97 today. heat index put s us at 104 today... YUCK! There is no breeze, it is just hot and humid. We really need a deck 9 breeze to ru throught the area... :thumbsup2

Today has been a rough day. Finally got to the dentist, and what I was expecting (root canal and crown) turned into 4 crowns and a fracture that went straight to the pulp of the tooth - so it was extracted, and I will need to go for an implant.[/COLOR]

Yes, that deck breeze makes a big difference doesn't it?:thumbsup2 Your dentist visit sounds awful, hope you feel better soon

Ok, I give 'faffing" with it????? I am going to have such a fab vocabulary by this cruise!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

"faffing" usually means fiddling about with something; fussing over something; :thumbsup2

Good job Todd!!
I know why the Captain was lurking! I will catch on - I promise....

It took me a bit, but I finally got it, even before I read Noel's explanation!

Greetings all - got back yesterday from the Baltic cruise. It was brilliant and I can say for sure we are all going to have a fab time on the WBTA....

Sounds like you're extremely thrilled with your experience! :dance3: I can't wait to hear all about it!

Welcome to everyone new and welcome back to those that have been DIS free for a while (How did you manage without us?)! Please remember to check out the first page of this thread, and visit the website to sign up for roll call! We are still looking for pictures for the website - please email them to photos@transatlanticpirates.com.

I will try and keep up, but I think I am heading to nap a while... If I miss the move to part 7 you are all chatting too much! I have posted the FE, Shirts and Tastings there already, so let me know if you are confirmed, paying or joining via PM and I will update my master list!

Restfull weekends to everyone!

Only about 75 here and was cloudy this morning!!

I am so sorry to hear about your dental issues. I really sympathize as I am having some of my own. Having trouble with your teeth can be very painful as well as expensive and not much is covered by dental insurance. DH had two implants last year. We had to pay $2K each out of pocket.

I am having trouble with gums not teeth. Still never had a cavity in my life but now am having more gum issues. Front teeth (6) are all capped due to being a "lemon sucker". Because of gum issues may need implants as well.

This is something I do not want to start before the cruise. Even if teeth look a bit like a snaggle tooth tiger at this point, I want to wait until after the cruise to do all of this surgery as implants can not be done until gums heal.

Does that include games in the Rockin Bar D? :rolleyes1 :cool1:

I bought the kids Yoda t-shirt that says "you must be this tall to ride this ride." :lmao:

:rotfl:

Those RBD games sure made for some great videos.

I bought Trevoy the Yoda shirt too, but for the opposite reason. LOL.

Putting it delicately, I just try to pull it to the side.....:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Oh, I hear ya. DH and I are both having fun w/crowns, bridges, root canals, and the rest of those medieval tortures. And yes, they are expensive. Wow, I am amazed that you've never had a cavity. I'd like me some of those genes!

Putting it delicately, I just try to pull it to the side.....:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Hmmmm, never thought of that. I'll have to keep that in mind ;) .

And for all of you who are going away, have safe, healthy, fun trips.
