Yes, I do agree Scotland is a tad far to go for a fitting. However, people are ordering from China...maybe she should advertise on Ebay. Sounds like a good way to make money if you have the talent. So few people I know can sew. Just a thought.

If you are interested in the pattern, I could forward you the link. What I like about the pattern is that it would look well on any body style.
[/QUOTE}]

I can sew but i'm living not in America, and i think sewing for a other person is to expensive. Because when you must pay the hours then you better can buy a dress, only when you let it make in China.

Goodluck whit finding somebody who can make it for you.

Connie

I find I keep my cruise clothes for many years so is practical for me to find just what I want. All my cruise pictures seem to have me wearing the same things.:rotfl::rotfl:

I do have other cruise dresses that I could bring but worried about the weight on this cruise for flights to Europe. If I don't find or get anything made in time, I will just fall back to what I have.

You are welcome. I thought the original post was not clear as to when 3 day time period kicked in so I edited the previous post to be super clear that she said 3 days before the cruise date. If anyone has any different info from DCL please let me know.

That's what it states on the DCL site when you book excursions.

I don't own a ball gown. Can't wear high heels, my doctor would come onboard and ***** slap me. :) I have a couple of very nice pants suits that I will wear with my crown. And I will oh and ah all the princess dresses and take your pics....

I have had problems with high heels as well ever since I damaged my left ankle on a school field trip when I was 14. I wore ballet slippers on my wedding day as I could not find any wedding shoes without heels and the ballet slippers were ivory satin. I think that is one reason why I love floor length gowns so much, because you can't see what is underneath.

Having said that, last year I found some Crocs with heels that are really comfortable and don't make my ankle swell if I wear them. I got a blue pair last year and bought some black ones for the Med cruise, which I wore every evening.

Ofcourse I know you will shower:rotfl2:, I meant me,24/7 at home, jogging stuff or nurses uni on,never as much put anything remotly pretty on, I go over the top on my cruise;) I am sure you will look gorgeous in whatever you wear super dressy or cool elegant Marilyn.

I know what you mean. I wear pants suits most of the time at work and just love dressing up. As a child I was a real tomboy and never had any pretty dresses. Only in recent years have I turned into a bit of a girly girl and I have plenty of catching up to do as far as playing princess is concerned.

The last few nights I have been awake in the middle of the night and still awake at 5am.....what's the betting that tomorrow morning I shall want to sleep in and miss the booking time with DCL?!!!:scared1:

Must remember to set my alarm just in case.....and take the lap top to bed!:lmao:

Hope everyone gets what they want booked :goodvibes

I have decided not to set an alarm clock for today. Quite often, I wake up at around 5 anyway. If I do, then great. The only thing I would like to book is Palo Tea and I am not quite sure if I would be getting this anyway.

For those of you interested in the Madeira tour, I have heard back from Daniel Taxi as to cost which will be 25 Euros per person for a 5 1/2 hour tour leaving at 11 Am and going to Old Blandy at 4:15PM for 15 persons.

I have asked the following questions.

1. Will you be able to take us all back to the ship after the tour?
2. Where will you take us on the tour?
3. What will we be able to see while on the tour?
4. What extra charges should we be prepared for?
5. Where is a recommended stop for lunch and approximate cost?
6. May some of us prepay on Paypal?

If anyone can think of any other questions, please let me know. Stay tuned.

This sounds great. Looking forward to some more details.

Calling all Siver CC members who will be able to book tonight - Are you ready!!! I'm not!!!! I'm not sure what I want to do. :confused3 I've been reading the boards, the pdf preview file of the passporters cruise book, and the DCL website but have no firm plans yet.

Although the private tour in Madeira being set up sounds like fun. Is there still room for 2 more?

Well, off to do some errands and back to the computer for research. :hippie:

I won't be booking any excursions through Disney. I was considering doing the Parasailing at Castaway Cay again, but due to the short time we are there, I have decided against it. In Tortola I might book a dolphin swim, but as DCL no longer offers this, I will book that through Shore Trips nearer to the time. In Madeira, we are hoping to join the private excursion. Gibraltar and St Maarten, we will just go with the flow and decide what we will do when we get there. This has served us well on our Med cruise.

I just went over and filled out our cruise forms and looked around at Palo. There seems to be lots of brunch availability. It would not show me tea or dinner options because I am already booked for those. I would think you would be fine for excursions, don't worry, be happy. :woohoo:

I saw on FB that TotallyAngelic Sarah hurt her hand today. Maybe that's why we haven't seen her weekly tradition of the Saturday countdown announcement. I've come to expect it from her!
...
I looked at the cancellation policy on DCL excursions, and it says "All Port Adventure tickets are non-refundable". Does anyone know if there's more to that statement, like you have to cancel at least 48 hours in advance to not be charged? I assume if that were true, it would say that. So my question comes down to if anyone has ever booked it on-line, then canceled it before they cruised, were they charged or not???

Sarah - if you are reading - I hope that you feel better soon! What is it with this group and wrists? Stephen, Becca and now Sarah? Well, hopefully that is iur 3 and we are done!

I think it was confirmed here in a later post, but you can cancel excursions up until 3 days prior to sailing. Spa can be cancelled up to 24 hours prior - but to be honest, I cancelled my cbana massage last year as Becca didn't want to stay inthe club and the boys were parasailing. They didn't charge me and they could have based on the policy.

Sue, I sent you my Paypal payment earlier this afternoon.

Alex

Got it! Thanks!

I sent it about half hour ago

Got it! Thanks!

pymt sent :)

Got yours too! Thanks!!

Just checked our online reservation and noted that our Cat 7 GTY status has been updated to an actual number! I'll be updating the roll call with our number!

Not sure if this got kicked up early as they ended up reshopping my category to throw a few dollars back on the credit card so that the fuel surcharge went away....hmmmmm....

Michael

Exciting if they are sarting to assign cabins! Anyone know how full the ship is?

Oh no!
I sent pymt before reading this.
that's the first time I've sent a personal transfer and i only did it because you requested it that way. I hope you don't get charged for our pymt! :(

I sent my money to Sue via PayPal as a gift. Sue, if you got charged a fee for our transfer, please let me know and I will reimburse you the cost.

No worries on fees - only a handful, and they are very small. No stress on this side!

The following people are still outstanding on cruise and/or tasting shirt payments.

Walt & Di, TheCooksLuvDisney, TA2, SueL, Pilk, JaxJags, DizneyFan1968, DisneyTrek, DisneyNut64, CinderBear, Belle1997, BibbidyBobbidyBoo, Barecuda, AlexTurner74, Alexandmaddie, AhoyCaptainMickey, Acourtdw

I know that many people are not on the boards all that often, so if you are in contact with any of these folks, please encourage them to log in, grab details from page 1. We want to get the shirts moving on Monday so if you haven't paid, we (Todd and I) would appreciate you making payment ASAP.

If you are not on the list, you have either paid, confirmed check being sent or reached out in some way shape or form - THANKS!!

Back to planning...

Thank you for doing this - payment will be sent tonight!

Just loved the Crocs high heels but can't wear them I tried and just didn't work!! :headache:

My foot is too small for a 6 and too large for a 7 as heel slides off. Most of you probably know that Crocs only come in full sizes so I can wear only those that do not have a back or have a removable strap
.

Okay....I just found something I found hilarious on the DCL website!

Snorkel at Norman Island

Additional Information:

  • Bottled water is provided.
  • Life vests are included and compulsory for all Guests.
  • Snorkel, mask and fins are provided.
  • Water included. :rotfl2:

That just strikes me funny.....and I haven't even been drinking spirits!

Congrats!!!

Okay. I take it back! :rotfl:

It is a wee bit funny:thumbsup2

Thanks cruise experts.

So, I just logged into my disney cruise online to make sure I have everything ready for tonight and I had a message stating that a Fuel Supplement Credit had been applied to our account! We booked on points thru DVC so I thought it must be a mistake but I just called member services and DCL and there's a $224 credit on our account!!! Wooohoooo!! That was a nice surprise! :woohoo:

Just thought I should give a heads up to anyone else who maybe never noticed it when they logged in. It was in a small box on the right hand side under Retrieve Another Reservation.

I printed it out just in case there are any problems!!

Poor Sarah. I hope she will heal quickly.

Congratulations on your credit. Maybe DCL are seeing the error of their ways after all.

haha
Well it's mostly DH... but it's only on the sides above his ears. I told him he's just becoming "distinguished" looking. ;)

I forgot to say ,this is a heads up for those people who are out and about in Barcelona, prior to the cruise. On our Med cruise this year, 2 different people from the DIS had their wallets/purses pickpocked in Barcelona.
oh ugh... terrible. :(

that's the only reason i can't order these. I might could fit a full size- but I can't find a retailer around here that sells them in store.. and I'm not going to risk buying them online only to find the size I chose doesn't fit! :(
The crocs (flipflops) that I usually wear are size 5-7.... so how would I know what size in the croc heels? sigh.......

congrats!
I went to check ours and it's not there for us! :(
I was hoping. but nope. :(

What's weird though is it says 89 days left... so wait- did all those booking at 90 days book last night? *confused* We're already booked so it's not an issue for us.. just struck me as odd.

Also I think someone awhile back was talking about their TA and the tax/fees.
Ours is showing on TOP of fuel surcharge and insurance shown seperately... an addtl $348.30 per person for "tax/fees"- is that not what it's supposed to be?

I have updated page one, but wanted to get this out there... I have been trying to get confirmation on who is still doing FE's, and many people are just not answering - for whatever reason. Please take a look below and if you are in a group and your information is correct, PLEASE, let me know. If you know of someoine that has dropped - PLEASE let me know!! I have a feeling we have lost a few people - as they are not answering requestsw for FE gift info, so if that is the case I would rather know now...

If you are not on a list and want to be, please be sure to sign up on the website (www.transatlanticpirates.com) AND PM me.
