Me!! This is Noel.

So, I just logged into my disney cruise online to make sure I have everything ready for tonight and I had a message stating that a Fuel Supplement Credit had been applied to our account! We booked on points thru DVC so I thought it must be a mistake but I just called member services and DCL and there's a $224 credit on our account!!! Wooohoooo!! That was a nice surprise! :woohoo:

Just thought I should give a heads up to anyone else who maybe never noticed it when they logged in. It was in a small box on the right hand side under Retrieve Another Reservation.

I printed it out just in case there are any problems!!

We have it also. I am so excited it. :banana:This almost makes up for the obc that everyone else got who booked at the same time we did on the 1st day it came available.

I ordered our tickets today thru DVC for the night of the 3rd what a deal it was only 53.95 per person. Is anyone else doing it. I'm also doing the race on the 2nd so wish me luck. My best is 18 min miles so far and im afraid of being swept.

I know its been posted before but between school and work i barley have time to skim thru. (dont tell anyone i'm online, instead of doing homework)

I think it is just starting to sink in that we leave in 87 days.

I think we are going but still playing it by ear since we are thinking of checking out Halloween Horror Nights as well. It's pretty much one or the other and they are both so different that I can't make up my mind at the moment. Do I want to be scared senseless or do I just want to have a fun night in the Magic Kingdom??? :rolleyes1

The following people are still outstanding on cruise and/or tasting shirt payments.

Walt & Di, TheCooksLuvDisney, TA2, SueL, Pilk, JaxJags, DizneyFan1968, DisneyTrek, DisneyNut64, CinderBear, Belle1997, BibbidyBobbidyBoo, Barecuda, AlexTurner74, Alexandmaddie, AhoyCaptainMickey, Acourtdw

I know that many people are not on the boards all that often, so if you are in contact with any of these folks, please encourage them to log in, grab details from page 1. We want to get the shirts moving on Monday so if you haven't paid, we (Todd and I) would appreciate you making payment ASAP.

If you are not on the list, you have either paid, confirmed check being sent or reached out in some way shape or form - THANKS!!

Back to planning...

Payment sent! Thanks again!

We've never been to Universal in orlando but I loved it in California. We had the VIP passes and loved the back lot. We were there just before the wildfires burnt it. When we go to WDW we have such limited time that we run through the parks when were there. We haven't been shopping at downtown Disney in ages.

One of them happened at the Magic Fountain. The person remembered being bumped into, then realised a short time after, that her purse/wallet had been stolen. She was wearing a pac safe bag, but it hadnt been done up properly.

I am not sure where the other person had there purse/wallet pick pocketed (sp) just know it was in Barcelona before the cruise.
Jan, thanks for the details. It's a good reminder to take all precautions against pickpockets.

Just in from Daniel Taxi in the nick of time. If anyone who has not PM'd me is interested, please let me know. The tour can hold up to 15 and we have not yet reached that quota. If there are many more than 15, we can ask to have another tour added.

Since we get off at 8:30, I think this is a fabulous deal. We can all arrange our own transportation back either together from the Old Blandy Lodge or separately.

I need feedback on what people are interested in touring. My preference is the first tour starting at 8:30. If there are things people want to see, it is important to ask if they can be included at the same price.

Dear Noel,

Sorry I kept you waiting again.

Now… answering your questions:

1. It will be more economical for you, if, after Blandy’s, you return to your cruise ship on your own, as, in this way, you won’t be paying for your driver’s waiting time. For those in your group who can walk well, it will take them 30 minutes from Blandy’s to the pier. Alternatively, there’s the possibility of you taking a taxi very close to Blandy’s. For your trip from there to your cruise ship, you’ll pay 7.50 Euros.
2. If your arrival is at 8:30am, you’ll do the Cable Car ride, followed by the Toboggan and then your driver will proceed with, for example, the West tour, which includes:
· Câmara de Lobos
· Cabo Girão
· Ribeira Brava
· Encumeada
· São Vicente
· Seixal
· Porto Moniz
· Santa
· Paúl da Serra
· Ponta do Sol
· Back to Funchal

On the other hand, if your cruise ship arrives at 10:30am, your driver will take you to the Cable Car and Toboggan rides (Monte) and then I’d suggest a visit to:
o Pico dos Barcelos
o Eira do Serrado – the lookout over Curral das Freiras
o Câmara de Lobos
o Cabo Girão
o Plus a choice between the Botanical Gardens (where you’ll stay for about 45minutes to 1 hour) or Camacha where you can visit the wicker factory
3. During your tour, you can visit churches, but you’ll see, mostly, Madeira’s natural beauty.
4. Extra charges will be: the Cable Car ride (10 Euros per person) and the Toboggan ride (12.50 Euros per person sharing)
5. If you take the West tour, you’ll probably have lunch in Porto Moniz. In case you arrive later and take the shorter tour, you can have lunch in Eira do Serrado or Cabo Girão. Pricewise, if you choose, for instance, our very traditional fish – espada – then you can expect to pay between 12 and 15 Euros.
6. Yes, if some of you prefer to pay in advance using Paypal, Daniel is willing to accept.

And any further questions you may have, feel free to ask, it will be my pleasure to help.

With best wishes,

Eusébia.

I saw on FB that TotallyAngelic Sarah hurt her hand today. Maybe that's why we haven't seen her weekly tradition of the Saturday countdown announcement. I've come to expect it from her!

I miss her Saturday countdown post as well!!

Sarah - I hope you get well soon!

I AM READY!!!
As for excursions, Gibraltar will likely be on my own. St. Maarten will be the Twelve Metre Regatta, and Tortola will be Tour of Virgin Gorda, which takes you to The Baths.

As for Madeira, I am very disappointed that Daniel's Taxis didn't provide an agenda with their price quote yesterday. I really wanted to compare that against Unforgettable West Madeira tour that DCL is offering. I've read rave reviews of that tour, which makes me think it will sell out. In hopes I could make an assumption, I even looked at their standard tours, none of which are 5.5 hours in length like what they told Noel. :sad2:

I'm so not ready!!! The 90 days out really snuck up on us!! The panic is setting in.... :scared:

Kimberly - you are such a good planner! I'm still working on my port excursions.

Dizneyholic - We have until 9 p.m. PST! We can do it! :thumbsup2

On a side note... I found a cute dress for the trip and it was clearance priced. It's just so much cuter because I didn't pay full price for it! :thumbsup2

Also FYI, with respect to booking shore excursions, I spoke with DCL about canceling shore excursions. DCL said that if you cancel within 3 days before the cruise date to cancel the excursion. If not and you don't take the excursion, you will be charged.

I am glad to have this info as I may tentatively book a few excursions which I may cancel later if the timing doesn't work out for us.

That was my understanding, too. Thanks for calling!

I just went over and filled out our cruise forms and looked around at Palo. There seems to be lots of brunch availability. It would not show me tea or dinner options because I am already booked for those. I would think you would be fine for excursions, don't worry, be happy. :woohoo:

Nice! I definitely want to do brunch in addition to dinner! Now to figure out which day....

No worries on fees - only a handful, and they are very small. No stress on this side!

Sue, I'm pretty sure I'm one of the ones who didn't follow the correct procedure and as a result you've incurred a fee. Please PM with the amount and I will send it to you ASAP. You've done so much to organize this and shouldn't have to pay because I apparently can't read. :sad2:

Congrats on your credit!!! :cool1::cool1:

I checked my account and I do not have a credit, but I will be calling DCL tomorrow and will be checking my account again. I'll call everyday if I have to because $224 = many drinks of the day!!! :lmao::lmao:

We are also doing the race. We've signed up for the relay and are not sure how we are going to split it up. The first person runs 5 miles and the second person gets to do 8 miles. We may even run the first part together so we can get to the party at Epcot faster. Gotta have priorities! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

We also have tix for MNNSHP on the 3rd. I'm really looking forward to it! I love all of the costumes.

Sounds wonderful Noel! I'm PM'ing you right now. I forgot how much it will cost. I'll go back and look at some of the first posts.

We're in on that, right?

Thanks for pushing for it and passing this along, Noel!

I agree that the itinerary sounds great! It includes everything that the DCL tour has, with the exception of lunch will be out of our own pocket. I didn't get the impression that the cab car is included with DCL, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

Here's the link to the previous email they sent Noel. It doesn't reference the cost because they were not sure how much they could fit into our time table. If there was another one that had the cost, I forgot about it already, which wouldn't be a surprise!!
