thanks for sharing, I have already decided that once I figure out when I can make it down there I'll be doing the dining package for the show, the meal looks great, I may have to give Ariel's another chance

sent you a friend request also

We'd been to the Grotto a few times and weren't thrilled with the food but we gave it another chance as well and we're happy we did. However, I'd still like to try the Wine Country Trattoria next. We should be going again in a few weeks so I'll report back on how that one was.

OMG...these are fantastic. Thanks for sharing. I can't wait to get there again, someday, and see this is person.

You're welcome! It's fun to get people excited about these things. I have to get the World of Color mania started. lol

When anyone comes out to DL, let us know. We are only about 35 minutes away!

DS and DIL are heading out that way for the first part of their honeymoon this summer. They are both CMs at WDW. (well he is. she is seasonal, now) and they are going to Australia for their honeymoon. All flights to Australia from NY go through LAX, so they decided to spend a few days at DL. He was there 2 years ago. She's never been.

Hi everyone,
Just checking in!
We are one thread closer to the trip! Time is really flying now!
It's getting closer by the day and I am getting very excited...Excursions...set...Palo's set...Spa...still thinking about it--any suggestions?

I typically hold onto free samples of detergent that I sign up for or receive in the mail/newspaper for vacation use when I know I'm going to need to do laundry prior to getting home.

Someone recently posted the following link for two free 3-1 Purex sheets. I always use Tide liquid, so I'm not sure how great these are, however, under the weight restrictions we have, I'm willing to pack and use these for one or two loads for this vacation. Who knows....maybe they will be great! :confused3

http://www.trypurex.com/Purex_3-in-1_Free_Sample/

PS: I've heard great reviews of Dropps as well, but these sheets still would take up less space and weight.

They will bring you extra starters and if they don't offer then just ask away!!!

I often skip the starters completely and order two mains (entrees?) - usually both vegetarian options. On the EBPC, some nights didn't offer starters that were vegetarian anyway. I've never been able to get a straight answer about whether any of the soups are vegetarian from the wait staff - "yes its vegetarian but it has chicken stock" - so what is vegetarian about that?

Let's review the facts:

Does he have a girlfriend? No.
Any children? No.
Confirmed adult bachelor living alone? Yes
Does he seem to talk with a lisp some of the time? Yes.
Is it his mantra that he's one of a kind and "different"? Yes.
Is he bouncy trouncy flouncy pouncy fun fun fun fun FUN (as most of us gays are ;))? Yes.

This is so funny .... and so true :rotfl:

What about Eyeore .... he can't be gay .... he may be male and live alone, but he's way too miserable :sad2:

Good grief - these comments totally cracked me up, I was eating lunch and nearly choked.

Makes me smile...because think Mr Creosote....comes to mind!...... (Apols to non Monty Python fans lol)
Lyn

Maître-D': Uh, today we ’ave for appetizers — excuse me. Uh, moules marinières, pâté de foie gras, Beluga caviar, eggs Benedictine, tart de poireau — that’s leek tart — frogs’ legs amandine, or oeufs de caille Richard Shepherd — c’est-à-dire, little quails’ eggs on a bed of puréed mushroom; it’s very delicate, very subtle.

Mr Creosote: I’ll have the lot.

Maître-D': [Pause] A wise choice, monsieur! And now, ’ow would you like it served? All, uh, mixed up togezher in a bucket?

Mr Creosote: Yeah... with the eggs on top.

I often feel just like Mr Creosote after dinner ;)

Becca is adorable with the cast! Isn't it great to be a kid - she wants to get right back in the gym. If I broke my arm at the gym, I would NEVER go back! In fact, I would be done exercising at a gym altogether - even exercising altogether.

I know when I fell off my bike and broke my jaw that I was very nervous about biking again. I think its easier if you are Becca's age though - less nerve...?

She is trying to decide what she needs to pack--after all we are just 100 days away.

Thanks.
Tom

OMG she hasn't packed yet? What is taking so long :rotfl:

You mean us Nikon/Mac peoples ....:lmao::lmao::lmao:

pirate:

Woohoo for the Nikon/Mac team (though my Nikon is a very old, tiny, point and shoot - but I love it anyway)

only 23 more posts till a pirate: -

I wonder how many people remember that :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

pirate:

I'm having enough time keeping up as it is without this again :lmao:

Copy Cat, Copy Cat sitting on the door mat!!:dance3:
Is that Australian or a worldwide thing?

I remember that from when I was a child.

Thanks so much for that, I watched it from the Toy Story bit, It was so fantastic. I am thinking of doing a night at Disneyland on the way home from WDW. We have 1 night in LA to take the girls to American Girl, but we could fit in a few hours at Disneyland. :thumbsup2

Any excuse to go to Disney ;) Thats what we are doing...

On the TA's last time DCL did a cheese plate on the menu each day. It was really nice being able to get cheese with the meal without having to cause the staff too much problems. Mind you they did decide to display the cheese near the entrance to Animators the one night and people just came across and started taking the cheese for themselves so wasn't too happy with man-handled cheese lol

Yum cheese, yuk for the handled bits...

I'll be taking lightweight cardigans, mid weight cardigans, and one a bit thicker for the Atlantic!!!!!:rotfl2: Then of course there are the cover ups for Parrots Cay meals!!:scared1:

Right that confirms it, I'm bringing my thermals...

Ok I went over to to see what ideas people where using to be announced when the come aboard

This one had me laughing so hard I was crying. Not good when you are doing reception lol.

Now say Sam and Ella out loud :)

Thats very funny! :rotfl:

I'm actually considering doing a Port Day special that I'm hopeful they'll offer called 20/20/20. You get to choose three (3) services from the following choices, each 20 minutes in length, for $99.

  • re-hydrating facial
  • neck/shoulder massage
  • back massage
  • scalp massage
  • arm/hand massage
  • foot/ankle massage

I'm thinking Gibraltar day would work for me if it's offered. I like it because of the variety over a full 60 minutes. Most massages are 50 minutes and much more than $99.

The other thing I know I want to sign up for is basically for the scalp massage, which makes me melt. If you want to look it up, know it's a Salon service, not Spa service. It's called the Frangipani Scalp Treatment. I've read WONDERFUL reviews of this experience.

Thanks! Just signed up for my free sheets!

:thumbsup2 Oh good!! So glad that you took advantage of it!

Is Prince and Princess an "OFFICIAL" theme night or a Dis Board Night?

Yes, it is a Disney theme night for the formal night that they use the Prince & Princess menus which I think goes with the night they do Twice Charmed.

Woody our cameras are near identical. My dn (13yoa) shows off by throwing our camera around, so the adverts really are true, but you gotta love the pink
I think your camera model replaced mine. Yes, love the pink.

Woody

I have to agree with you. Obviously you can take the more public option from this company that "departs from the center of the city", wherever that may be. However, my interest in this was that they would pick you up at the airport, and you get started with your vacation right away. The second best thing about this tour is that it gets you around various parts of town to key tourist destinations with VIP-like front door drop off transportation, which saves lots of time.

Bummer....I was so hopeful about this one for one my first day in town.

We might be interested in a tour on the 16th, which is the day we get in. We haven't booked our hotel yet.

Sounds like you may have found someone to tour with, but wanted to let you know that we're also coming in on the 16th on the same flight as you, and were hoping to find some sort of tour for Thursday to do. We have 6 in our group, including the 2 kids, and will be looking for something we can all do. But if you can't find anyone else to tour with, just wanted to let you know you could join us if you wanted to!

Before taking 3-1 Purex sheets on this cruise, you might want to read product reviews or try them at home.

On the EBTA, people tried them at home and found stains on dark clothing. YMMV.

Kimberly is checking with the tour company to see what the charges are for 5 of us. Maybe you should send her an email to see if she can get a quote for 11 as usually the more people, the less per person cost.

We were going to meet her and the other couple at the airport on the 16th as we arrive on Sept 15 and will be staying at the Renaissance.

Do you think you will be up to touring for most of the day?

Just my thoughts....

You have a good point about being up to touring for the day, but since our room won't be ready for quite some time, we might as well head out touring.

Awe! You're so sweet! I *really* appreciate you offering! Right now, we do have 5 people, and I'm waiting for a quote for us (tweety0227 and birnker). I'll pass along the quote to you as well in case you want to do the tour with the same company! I will pass along a request to see if they have an 11 passenger van or not, just in case you want to hang with us, too! I *THINK* they stick to 6 people per van because of luggage, but I'll ask.

BTW, I'm really looking forward to our flight! We have quite a crowd of DISers just in that small cabin area! :woohoo:

Oh good gracious! I absolutely will!! Thanks, Woody!

We will do a bit of touring on Wednesday when we arrive but we get a good night's sleep on Tuesday in Franfurt so we should be raring to go by Thursday.

Just my thoughts...

I posted to Melanie to contact you just in case they do have a van large enough for all of us. They might want to go at a different pace with kids.

I am doing the Gibralter day too! Maybe I will see you!!! I love the 20/20/20 and it is well worth it. The hand massage is heavenly - I always get that one! Maybe I will see you  By the way, I ordered my sheets but got down to Woody's comment and was a little nervous. I will try it at home first. Thanks Woody for letting us know!

I think I wasn't clean enough in my post. I did pm her about her hearing from you and DH. I meant the other family with kids (Halls of VA) may want to do a different tour if the kids are not up to it after a long flight.
