My Zazzle order arrived today! I really like the MMC t-shirt, but moreover, I'm so pleased with the social business cards!

(Note that for posting on the boards, I blocked out my last name. So if you noticed the inconsistent coloring, that's why.) :)

GIVE NOTHING BACK
Well, we are off in the morning to Walt Disney World! Our daughter starts her professional internship with the Mouse next week. We're sad she's leaving us, and excited for her all at the same time! We don't usually visit the World at this hot, crowded time of year, but it should be fun nonetheless!

Try to keep it down to a low roar while we're gone so I can catch up when we return!

Ok, we promise not to post anything until you return.:rotfl::surfweb::surfweb::surfweb::surfweb:

Okay cruise talk!!!!

I have a Kodak point and shoot. I also have a Sony camcorder. Love my toys. I will be the first in line at ATT to pick up my pre-ordered iPhone 4. :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

I just can't wait!!!:dance3::dance3::dance3:

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Have to work in the morning then off to celebrate. My DGD is having her birthday tomorrow. She is 4 going on 40.:scared1: After that we are having the grandkids over for the night. DH told his son we would watch their 9 yr old and 2 yr old for the night. I told my son I would watch his 13 r old, 4 yr old and 1 yr old for the night. Do you think that DH and I had a conversation prior to the planning. NOPE! Now we have 5 granchildren for the night:scared1:

I am pleased to share that my son has come to his senses and has moved back home. The grandchildren are happier. I realize it takes two and feel certain the DDil has come to her senses as well. Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes and pixie dust. I will now go have stiches put in my lips from biting them when I wanted to speak!:lmao:

Leaving for Disneyland in about 6 hours! Can't wait!!! I'm going to see the new World of Color (via the dining package) and Fantasmic (via dessert package). I'm sure there will be about 100 pages when I return home. I hope everyone has a good weekend!!!! :earsboy:

Enjoy yourself. Full report when you return.

Say hello to my son while you're there. What kind of professional internship does she have?

He's looking to get into the technical side of Disney. At the moment, he is in entertainment.

How long has your son been in entertainment at WDW? When I did my college program in 2002/2003, I was in the entertainment department and I LOVED it!

Have a wonderful time! I somehow missed the World of Color debut last night, but I've heard wonderful things about it.

I must admit, I'm not a World Cup fan...or even a soccer fan really...I mean, I can watch a game and enjoy it, but it's not my first choice sport. But for all of your World Cup fans, enjoy! :)

Since it's now the 12th, it's officially my dance recital day! :yay: This is my 27th year dancing at the same studio. I do a duo with my twin sister...this year we're doing a Broadway jazz routine to "Don't Rain On My Parade" as performed on "Glee" (Shocking, I know, me selecting something from Glee!). I used to REALLY be into dancing when I was younger - well, three ACL reconstructions ago! :lmao: I do miss the old days when I didn't have to wear two bulky knee braces, but if it's the only way I can dance, that's what I'll do. We had dress rehersal tonight. Last year we couldn't perform in the recital because I had just had my ACL done in January (it's a 9 month recovery period) so it was WONDERFUL to be back on that stage tonight. When I'm dancing, I forget about the pain of the knee surgeries and I just enjoy being up there and performing. :goodvibes

Quite stylish! Affter getting it she wanted silly bands and a trip to the gym... I was so happy that she wanted to go to the gym that indulged her with the bands... So very glad that she is not afraid to go back... :cool1:

What a cute cast. Hopefully Becca arm heals faster then my. I getting to the point I arm my arm broke instead. It been 7 weeks now and if it was broke it would be healed by now. Today I was at the physical therapist and the now think i have tendinitis of the wrist. They gave electronic cortisone patch to help relieve the pain and swelling. It seem to work most of the day but the pain is slowing coming back. I will check you up to date. Well I'm going to bed now.

4 hour private day-tour in Barcelona. They'll pick them up at the airport, and drop them off at their hotel. My plans on arrival day have been to do the on/off bus. However, I'm thinking maybe this is the way to start. I have to get a taxi from the airport to hotel anyways, and the hotel said it would cost about 30 EUR. This intimate tour is 59 EUR, eliminates the taxi fare, and quickly gets me to key tourist sites. So I sent an inquiry to the tour company. I'm thinking that if this works out, I can then get back to the hotel shortly after lunchtime, rest a little (as I'm certain I'll need to), then get back out on the town to places I saw that really intrigue me, including walking the Ramblas. Anyone have insight to this private tour?

We are booked on a private tour on the 17th and 18 with pepittour.com We used Jose in 2007 and it was wonderful. Now I am trying to figure out about the 16th. Your link sounds interesting as well. I know that pepittour does the same type of tour, but do not know his availability. PLease share your info when you get it. I am interested. I have seen the following, but my family has not. I would like to do a tour of Montjuic and the Olympic Stadium, the Cathedral and Gothic Quarter, Gaudi's "Modernista" buildings, the Park Guell and Sagrada Familia.

Look forward to hearing what you find out.

Do you mean this website?

I think it would only be practical if there were 6 persons as the tour seems fairly expensive if you have less than 6.

Just my thoughts....

How wonderful. My DGD all dance as well. Their recital is next week. I hope they do it for 27 years too. Break a leg

My DS is having surgery to repair his ACL and miniscus on the 30th. He was told the recovery would be at least a year. They are going to graft from his hamstring, because he snowboards and surfs. He was concerned that he may still be in the same type of pain aafter the surgery. Are you saying you still have pain?

Yes, but we have 8 or so on the tour. He did an awesome job in 2007. He even took us for Tapas and sangria. YUMMY!

Sounds like a great time!! There are just two of us so doesn't seem cost effective for us this time unless we hooked up with more DISers.

Just my thoughts...

It's a long recovery, that is for sure. I didn't have a graft from my hamstring, my doctor used a cadaver (sp) graft so I'm not sure how much extra pain will be added because of the hamstring graft. I never had too much pain before surgery - just a lot of instability. My knee would give out and shift at pretty much anytime. As far as the stability, that does get A LOT better after the surgery. The pain isn't too bad now - sure there are days that my knees just hurt, but it's usually weather related.

Before my surgeries, my doctor told me it was very important to keep my quad muscle as strong as possible, so if I would be driving, I would tighten my quad muscle just to strengthen it a bit more.

Make sure that the day of his surgery and the days following, he takes his pain medicine on time. He wants to stay ahead of the pain - he doesn't want to be without pain medicine.

Feel free to PM me if either of you have questions. I'm more than happy to talk about it especially if it will help a fellow ACL patient. :)

Good to know. He is in physical therapy now to get full range of motion and strengthen his quads. It is painful, but he has made great improvement. I will tell him about managing his pain. I have him take motrin now, 15 minutes before he goes to therapy. It helps a little with the pain.

Thank you for sharing!
