So, hopefully by the time we sail we will be whole - but as we have seen with Stephens wrist injury, things are not always simple...

Not me, but Becca broke her arm. clean break with a "buckle" of the radius. Not sure what buckle means, but she has 98 days to heal... :confused3

Poor little squirt, they splinted it today and the splint makes her keep her arm bent... She is miserable... I didnt have the heart to tell her that the sack may go above the elbow OR that it is likely that she will have it for the rest of her summer break...:scared1::sad1:

CALGON... Take me away...

So sorry about Becca's arm. My heart goes out to her. Last year, I broke my wrist so I can relate to her pain. Hope she feels better after it gets casted.:hug:

I think you are perfectly at liberty to have all 7 courses!!!:lmao: Though most people I think would order less that that.;)

We have had the pizza/flatbread for a starter, and another time had a starter each and a pizza/flatbread to taste and share which the server recommended. Needless to say we were already stuffed by the time the wonderful entree arrived.:lmao: The servers seem to want to keep encouraging you to eat more!!!

They usually bring an extra dessert to share too!!!:scared1:

Also there is a lovely palate cleanser sorbet thing somewhere in amongst too.

We love Palos, but are always so stuffed at the end of it all! Brunch was worse than Dinner! Making a mental note to keep away from the flatbreads, Pizzas etc this time around. I personally think Palos is something that gets better with each visit. Because once you have tried everything...you become more discerning, and more inclined to choose the absolute faves...and savour ...bring on Portobello Mushrooms and the Fillet :cloud9:. The first time we went we just HAD to try everything every single Diser recommended..and everything extra the server pushed on to us!
Makes me smile...because think Mr Creosote....comes to mind!...... (Apols to non Monty Python fans lol)

For all of you lovely kind people who have offered to contibute to the cost of the flowers,

THANK YOU SO MUCH

but honestly it is no problem at all and there is no need :hug:

Maybe you should reconsider now that you have to pay this fine.;)

Hi everyone.
I have been back from the 15th May Med cruise for just over a week now.
I am sorry I havent been on this meet thread or any others since I got back. Illness and personal stuff have just got in the way.
I cannot beleive how many pages have been posted and a whole new chapter !!!.
If I have missed anything important could someone let me know please.

I have never done a trip report but if anyone has any questions about the DCL med Cruise, I might be able to answer them. :)
We had a fantastic time on the cruise and I would do the same cruise again in a heartbeat.
The Ports were mostly a good mixture of Countries and places and reminded me of how beautiful Europe is. There are so many places on the itinerary that I would like to go back too.
The Magic was lovely as ever and I think pretty full, must have been the low prices sucking us all in !!.
There was 1 formal and 2 semi formal nights (11 night cruise), most people that I saw dressed as per code. I saw plenty of Tux's on formal night.
For those who have children (or adults), there were plenty of character photo sessions and lots of characters just wandering round the ship.
We did not do any organised excursions, just went off and did our own thing, at the ports, which worked out pretty well.
I cant think of anything else, but just ask if you want to know anything.
I will now go back and try to skim through this last chapter :surfweb:.
Jan

Glad you are back and had such a wonderful time. I have one question....Did they have any of those chocolate covered Mickey Bars on board??????

I just heard from Hadley who is back from her cruise. She had a fantastic time and said that she had a server named Agus from Indonesia and the best server she ever had. If someone wants to request - it is a thought! She said the entertainment was just okay, but didn't care - she was on The Magic!

We had him on a cruise before and he is wonderful!

I am determined to go on this excursion!!! I want him to have a great birthday gift. We have never ever done an excursion because of the fact I use a scooter. So here is hoping for this one.

I wish you all the best in making this goal

I know what you mean about wanting to try everything.......that Brunch is lethal!!:lmao::lmao:

They do a wonderful blue cheese and grape flatbread - oh my, to die for.:rotfl2:

I am watching the news and crying. There probably are not a lot of DIS people who have tracked Abby Sunderland, the CA girl that is sailing around the world. As a home school mom, my Abby and I charted her course and have read her blog every week. I am very sad and crying when I found out that she is missing at sea. As a mom, I cannot imagine that feeling. Okay, on to something happier. I know someone on the boards will make me smile!

They are calling for public prayer for her safety.pixiedust:pixiedust: I gonna send her some pixie dust as well.

Restless night all around, and the strong desire to slack at work - which I did as I am working from home... heading to get Becca csted in about 30 minutes.

Here is my list...

MISC
- Photo printer, paper and ink – order, test and pack

Ok I just had to ask how big is your photo printer and why are you travelling thousand of miles with it :) Oh and should you bring a camera for that photo printer :)

If I ever thought of taking even a small photo printer I think he would throw me over board :) He thinks I pack way to much as it is.

Me no I just like to be over prepared. He has pointed out that each year we pack duct tape and in 5 cruises have never used it.

Of course the year I do not bring it we will need it :)

Now if I left packing up to him everything I mean everything would fit in of lugguage bag. That is just a scary thought

They are calling for public prayer for her safety.pixiedust:pixiedust: I gonna send her some pixie dust as well.

That is so good to know. The more prayers and pixie dust the better. I will NOT turn off the TV now until I hear more.

The bleu cheese and grape flatbread sounds wonderful - I will definitely order!

Maybe you should reconsider now that you have to pay this fine.;)

After much online research today it appears that this company who is after my money is not legit and it is a non-enforceable civil demand for money so I am going to ignore it

If I end up being dragged to prison though I will expect all my DIS friends to stump up for my bail money so I can cruise ....

I just have a little digital that sometimes takes good pictures. I know it isn't the camera, but the operator. :rotfl: I don't think I am one of your people. If you hear someone cursing after taking a picture - that is me! Your camera sounds wonderful. Is it hard to use and takes forever when you are posing.
