Let's review the facts:

Does he have a girlfriend? No.
Any children? No.
Confirmed adult bachelor living alone? Yes
Does he seem to talk with a lisp some of the time? Yes.
Is it his mantra that he's one of a kind and "different"? Yes.
Is he bouncy trouncy flouncy pouncy fun fun fun fun FUN (as most of us gays are ;))? Yes.

I rest my case :lmao::lmao:

This is so funny .... and so true :rotfl:

What about Eyeore .... he can't be gay .... he may be male and live alone, but he's way too miserable :sad2:

I hope Becca gets her candy cane cast without too much pain!

Palo desserts sound fantastic. Love the pizza and ravioli for dessert!!! I cannot wait! I also love the appetizers and could skip everything else.
I hope Becca is feeling a little better today.
TotallyAngelic - sorry for the parking ticket. Thank you again for ordering the flowers. Yes, I think a drink(s) is the least we can do.
Woody - glad you are adjusting. That time change can be a killer!
I just heard from Hadley who is back from her cruise. She had a fantastic time and said that she had a server named Agus from Indonesia and the best server she ever had. If someone wants to request - it is a thought! She said the entertainment was just okay, but didn't care - she was on The Magic!

CooksluvDisney - ahhhh! I am sooo jealous. WAWA cheesesteak must be incredible. I am jealous as I eat my salad for lunch - ugh!
Well the Wawa Cheesesteak is not nearly as good as their hoagies. I'll stick with the many other greats in the area.

One item of contention though, My DS's best friend has 2 dads, so being gay doesn't mean that you can't adopt.

Erik - that is really funny!!! I did all my Disney online paperwork today. YEAH!!

Hooray! We did ours over the weekend...it's nice to have that done!

This is so funny .... and so true :rotfl:

What about Eyeore .... he can't be gay .... he may be male and live alone, but he's way too miserable :sad2:

Amen! We don't want anyone miserable in our community---you can keep them----we want only fabulousness! :lmao:;)

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

One item of contention though, My DS's best friend has 2 dads, so being gay doesn't mean that you can't adopt.

True true----and, actually, anyone who knows the Pooh characters knows that Tigger would probably adopt Roo if anything should ever happen to Kanga :thumbsup2

(And, incidentally.....Tigger is "my" character and Roo is Jason's....because they're best friends and both so cute and you so often find them together----so Jason and I collect Tigger and Roo things....our entire basement (which is our office/family room) is decorated with literally hundreds and hundreds tiggers and roos of all shapes, sizes and varieties!!)

Love it!!!! :rotfl2:

Hi everyone.
I have been back from the 15th May Med cruise for just over a week now.
I am sorry I havent been on this meet thread or any others since I got back. Illness and personal stuff have just got in the way.
I cannot beleive how many pages have been posted and a whole new chapter !!!.
If I have missed anything important could someone let me know please.

I have never done a trip report but if anyone has any questions about the DCL med Cruise, I might be able to answer them. :)
We had a fantastic time on the cruise and I would do the same cruise again in a heartbeat.
The Ports were mostly a good mixture of Countries and places and reminded me of how beautiful Europe is. There are so many places on the itinerary that I would like to go back too.
The Magic was lovely as ever and I think pretty full, must have been the low prices sucking us all in !!.
There was 1 formal and 2 semi formal nights (11 night cruise), most people that I saw dressed as per code. I saw plenty of Tux's on formal night.
For those who have children (or adults), there were plenty of character photo sessions and lots of characters just wandering round the ship.
We did not do any organised excursions, just went off and did our own thing, at the ports, which worked out pretty well.
I cant think of anything else, but just ask if you want to know anything.
I will now go back and try to skim through this last chapter :surfweb:.
Jan

welcome back Jan :woohoo:

Anybody doing anything cruise - related today ? I am upgrading my Fish Extender, sorting out DHs pirate costume and yesterday I bought some materials to make something for the girls so I may work on that later.
I love doing cruise-related activities ..... :woohoo:

on a down side ... I received a parking fine for £50 for parking longer than I should on car park when I went to DD's University art show :mad:

and thats 10 drinks of the day .....:mad::mad:

Thats so annoying Sarah, hope you get it sorted :sad2:

See I would rather they brought me extra starters as usually hate dessert! In fact last time we went to TGI Fridays I had Chicken Wings for dessert and confused the waiter as the rest of the table had desserts when he brought out my wings!

:rotfl2:

Thanks for everyone offering to buy me drinks .... honestly you are all too kind. I don't think my liver would be too impressed if I took you all up on your offers, plus all the tasting sessions, plus the wine at dinner, plus the cocktail or two I may be tempted to try ......:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1

You say that like it's a bad thing?! ;):lmao:

LOL he's just a sad lonely g**! No one will ever date him as he has no house because it keeps falling down and keeps loosing things (case and point his tail!)! No woman would put up with it!

I know I mentioned this before, but I would love to get a group (ok at least a couple of people) together to enjoy this with. I emailed the company and this is the response I got. I signed up for the 8:40am time so that I could still get to Mahalo beach to watch the planes.

ATV Island Tour & Orient Beach tour

The ATV Island Tour & Orient Beach Tour provides an exciting guided tour via
ATV sports quadbikes around the French Side of St Maarten.

Its an absolutely unique way to "sightsee" and tour the island in the fresh
air and outside the confines of buses and vans. The 2.5hr tour travels by
public road for around 50% of the trip and on "Offroad" dirt tracks and
beach for the other 50% of the excursion.

After being picked up at the cruise terminal, you will head to Point Blanch,
for your safety briefing and departure. There is adequate storage under the
seat for any bags or valuables.

The Quadbikes are all new, well maintained, and are "automatic", with no
gears to worry about, so they are easy and safe for beginners. Helmets
(provided free of charge) are compulsory. You will ride along palm lined
public roads, off road dirt tracks, and sections of the beach.

There are a couple of stops for photo opportunities, and a highlight of this
tour is the stunning panoramas of Orient Bay and Pinel Island on the French
side of the Island. You will also enjoy great views of St. Barths, and the
deserted Tintemare Island, which all provide great photo opportunities. The
tour then heads down from the hills and onto Orient Beach, where you will
spend an hour or so, at our Orient Beach club. There are bar, restaurant,
shower, and toilet facilities. Swimming at Orient Bay is great, and a
wonderful way to freshen up after your "dirtbiking". (Please note that free
sunloungers are no longer available at this location but are available for
rent on the beach). Then, its back onboard, for the return ride to
Philipsburg.

Finally you will climb a steep mountain road way above the cruise terminal,
where you can get great photos looking down on your cruise ship from high
above the bay of Philipsburg.

Pickup Time at the cruise Ship Terminal is 8:40am / 11.40am / 2pm (transfer
time is under 10 mins).

The excursion is $69usd single riders, $55usd double riders, $33usd under
12yrs.
Riders must be 18yrs or older and we do not recommend the tour for under
7yrs.

Poor little munchkin. I hope she (and mom and dad) get some rest tonight. If she wants to show off her candy cane, we can virtually sign it for her! I'm sure you'll learn more tomorrow, but it does sound encouraging that she will be on the mend and not miss out on pool time this summer!

As for the list, when you have time, please share anything I don't have listed that you do!! Sandi gave some good suggestions, especially the cell phone and international calling.

Restless night all around, and the strong desire to slack at work - which I did as I am working from home... heading to get Becca csted in about 30 minutes.

For all of you lovely kind people who have offered to contibute to the cost of the flowers,

THANK YOU SO MUCH

but honestly it is no problem at all and there is no need :hug:

Extra FE gifts for you then!!

Serves me right for not reading this first! They have 4 different colours - black, orange, gold and bronze and I went for Gold

Looks clunky - but what a great idea!!

I think you are perfectly at liberty to have all 7 courses!!!:lmao: Though most people I think would order less that that.;)

Our first visit we couldn't decide what we wanted and ended up with salad, main and dessert ordered... We got quite a bit more - things we "Just have to try"

I believe they all have the stipulation that it's one coupon per table. There are some restaurants that have $25, $50, or $100 coupons. Wishing that Shula's had a higher one! I can see a meal there getting pretty pricey!

Also, the restaurants will usually add the tip (15-18% depending on restaurant) to the check prior to deducting the certificate. We've had a few out here in L.A. who didn't do that when they started the program and folks were tipping on the discounted amount, so they changed up on that one.

Michael

Very true - and each certificate has a minimum. For instance we used one at Twisted Taco last night. It was for $25 and we had to spend $35 before alcohol. So, the bill for food was $42, they took off $25 and then added 18% of the original total incl. beverages.

Let's review the facts:

Does he have a girlfriend? No.
Any children? No.
Confirmed adult bachelor living alone? Yes
Does he seem to talk with a lisp some of the time? Yes.

You crack me up! Cant wait to meet you guys!!

Well, we are off to get the cast... She is begging to go... I think she will change her tune when we arrive...

I got mine from Wachovia

Capitol One AND Chase Disney. Do I hear POINTS! We paid our airfare to spain and home from Florida with Capitol One points. Now I am going to use my Disney points to pay for tips and shore excursions. I drive DH crazy everytime he reaches for cash in his wallet. I tell him "I do not care if the bottle of water is 1.25, CHARGE IT" Now that he did not have to pay for airline tickets, he has come around to my way of thinking.:thumbsup2

Thought I would share that piece of tid bit. Now that I have exposed myself as cheap, not sure what else is left.:tiptoe:

I also use my Chase Disney for almost everything. The points almost paid for the renewal of my annual Disney Pass.:cheer2::cheer2:

(And, incidentally.....Tigger is "my" character and Roo is Jason's....because they're best friends and both so cute and you so often find them together----so Jason and I collect Tigger and Roo things....our entire basement (which is our office/family room) is decorated with literally hundreds and hundreds tiggers and roos of all shapes, sizes and varieties!!)

Your basement sounds great ... but I think we need photos !!!!!

I just thought of something else for our "lists": write the credit card number and phone number to call if lost and keep somewhere in luggage.

Sue - that was a great list too. I have my husband home too so I don't need to do the mail, electric, etc., but I am making him a list too. Getting the mail is on the list for him, if you don't write, he don't do!!:rotfl::rotfl:

I am in awe of all you organised people...I have done nothing really yet......I think it's because I have time on my hands so think...'oh that's ok I have plenty of time for that'.................and then run out of time!:confused3:rotfl2:

With a week to go I shall probably be running round like a headless chicken!:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

I am watching the news and crying. There probably are not a lot of DIS people who have tracked Abby Sunderland, the CA girl that is sailing around the world. As a home school mom, my Abby and I charted her course and have read her blog every week. I am very sad and crying when I found out that she is missing at sea. As a mom, I cannot imagine that feeling. Okay, on to something happier. I know someone on the boards will make me smile!

This is what happened to me on my last cruise .... kept thinking I had plenty of time and then with a month to go I was ill and couldn't really do much ... it was a horrible last minute panic situation.

This time I have GOT to be more organised ahead of time .....

It is justt terrible, I would imagine she will be feeling all kind of emotions including guilt.
TBO, as an aunty and gaurdian for my dn for years I couldnt imagine letting her out my sight for a night never mind alone in the middle of an ocean at that age.
