  6. Steak
  7. Tiramisu

I think you are perfectly at liberty to have all 7 courses!!!:lmao: Though most people I think would order less that that.;)

We have had the pizza/flatbread for a starter, and another time had a starter each and a pizza/flatbread to taste and share which the server recommended. Needless to say we were already stuffed by the time the wonderful entree arrived.:lmao: The servers seem to want to keep encouraging you to eat more!!!

They usually bring an extra dessert to share too!!!:scared1:

Also there is a lovely palate cleanser sorbet thing somewhere in amongst too.

See I would rather they brought me extra starters as usually hate dessert! In fact last time we went to TGI Fridays I had Chicken Wings for dessert and confused the waiter as the rest of the table had desserts when he brought out my wings!

Can you use more than one at a time? Like if you had 3 $25 certificates to pay for a $90 bill? (Maximizing :scratchin

I believe they all have the stipulation that it's one coupon per table. There are some restaurants that have $25, $50, or $100 coupons. Wishing that Shula's had a higher one! I can see a meal there getting pretty pricey!

Also, the restaurants will usually add the tip (15-18% depending on restaurant) to the check prior to deducting the certificate. We've had a few out here in L.A. who didn't do that when they started the program and folks were tipping on the discounted amount, so they changed up on that one.

Congrats to everyone who is doing the DDD!!!!!

Can you believe it?

T-100 until we board the Magic!!!!

After waiting 20 months to get to this point, I can't believe it!!

Hi everyone.
I have been back from the 15th May Med cruise for just over a week now.
I am sorry I havent been on this meet thread or any others since I got back. Illness and personal stuff have just got in the way.....if anyone has any questions about the DCL med Cruise, I might be able to answer them. :)....

Sorry you have had some challenges. I hope things will soon be much brighter for you!

I also am interested in your thoughts about the food quality. Since we're so accustomed to the food sources DCL uses in the US and after reading reviews from the first Med cruise this year, I'm wondering if their new food sources have brought improvement.

Did you spend any time in Barcelona before or after? If so, is there anything in particular that you enjoyed? What did you enjoy most about your trip?

Anybody doing anything cruise - related today ? I am upgrading my Fish Extender, sorting out DHs pirate costume and yesterday I bought some materials to make something for the girls so I may work on that later.
I love doing cruise-related activities ..... :woohoo:

on a down side ... I received a parking fine for £50 for parking longer than I should on car park when I went to DD's University art show :mad:

and thats 10 drinks of the day .....:mad::mad:

Arrgh! Sorry about the parking fine you found in the post. That totally stinks.

Glad you're upgrading your FE, because I think you're going to have many more people stopping to drop off a gift of gratitude for your wonderful kind heart!

I really really really need to get working on my FE gifts today, so that's my plan after I get moving with some errands here this morning.

Not sure I can post the link but this is what I wrote off the menu when I posted over on the main board:....

Oh my! I still haven't ate breakfast. You're making me *so* hungry!

I think you are perfectly at liberty to have all 7 courses!!!:lmao: Though most people I think would order less that that.;)

I completely agree, and do NOT miss out on the lemon sorbet palate cleanser. OH...MY...GOSH! That's the one thing that has left the biggest impression on me! I remember for dessert, we were so full that my mom just wanted another palate cleanser. We all  it!!

...:thanks:Thank you again for some more helpful info. I love the DIS! :disrocks: You all are the best. I will definitely be using a lot of items on your list........

You're all most welcome. I agree with you....the brilliant minds of people here on the DIS are so helpful! I get so excited when I learn something new from someone or when they turn the light bulb on for me!

Have a look on www.moneysavingexpert.com - there is a whole section regarding parking fines. Unless its a council run site the fines are hard to implement. Might not be worth the hassle though :confused3
Hope you enjoyed the art show.

They will bring you extra starters and if they don't offer then just ask away!!!

When we were there in January they had the most diving Osso Buco. Too good!

Woody - welcome back from your vacation! It must have been wonderful!

Welcome home Mr and Mrs Woody!! Hope you had a fabulous time!!

Excellent!! Just a short stay until your next adventure. Hope you get settled back in easily!

Welcome home Woody and Mrs Woody. Are you home till this cruise now?

Glad you're home safe and sound after your adventures
Thank you for the warm welcomes.

I seem to be settling in well, though I had a bit of jet lag and woke up at 3:00 a.m.

We came home with less luggage than when we left.

For the cruise, we packed some clothes to leave behind (t-shirts, tops, and running shoes). We left them in our cabin with a signed note to our Cabin Steward: "We did not forget to pack these. We are leaving them behind. Hopefully someone can use them or donate them to charity."

This gave us room in our luggage for souvenirs and other things.

Woody

For all of you lovely kind people who have offered to contibute to the cost of the flowers,

THANK YOU SO MUCH

but honestly it is no problem at all and there is no need :hug:

Fine, We'll just have to hunt you down and buy you a Drink on the Magic:drinking1

I'll second that! I really appreciate your thoughtfulness on our behalf! Thank you! You have a Konk Kooler (or two) coming your way. :drinking1

Palo desserts sound fantastic. Love the pizza and ravioli for dessert!!! I cannot wait! I also love the appetizers and could skip everything else.

I hope Becca is feeling a little better today.

TotallyAngelic - sorry for the parking ticket. Thank you again for ordering the flowers. Yes, I think a drink(s) is the least we can do.

Woody - glad you are adjusting. That time change can be a killer!

I just heard from Hadley who is back from her cruise. She had a fantastic time and said that she had a server named Agus from Indonesia and the best server she ever had. If someone wants to request - it is a thought! She said the entertainment was just okay, but didn't care - she was on The Magic!

CooksluvDisney - ahhhh! I am sooo jealous. WAWA cheesesteak must be incredible. I am jealous as I eat my salad for lunch - ugh!

That is bad news about the fine. You won't do that again though!!!

Have a look on www.moneysavingexpert.com - there is a whole section regarding parking fines. Unless its a council run site the fines are hard to implement. Might not be worth the hassle though :confused3
Hope you enjoyed the art show.

I have checked out this link and it seems that the private parking charges are not enforceable .... maybe I'll be able to get away with it. :woohoo:

Thanks for everyone offering to buy me drinks .... honestly you are all too kind. I don't think my liver would be too impressed if I took you all up on your offers, plus all the tasting sessions, plus the wine at dinner, plus the cocktail or two I may be tempted to try ......:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1

Oh my God I missed the double digit dance today then!!!!!!!

Lemon Sorbet yummy!

Oh great! I will definately be doing this as I think there's 2 I want to try - Dan always moans at me sharing food as inevitably I end up not liking any of it and he then looks greedy lol!

Sarah you can not turn down alcohol! Fine then, more FE pressies it is!

Page Marker :rotfl: so I know how far back I need to read to catch up.

So sorry to hear about Becca's broken arm. Please post a pic so we can sign it virtually.

Well I told my hubby I am taking my walker. His response was not something I can post here lol. All he was thinking about was another item to load on the plane. I told him I needed to get excerise.

Yeah right excercise and cruising do not go well together in my book.

Still trying to figure out how far the walk will be to the whale watching excursion in Madrid. No answer yet, I think i will post it on the regular cruise board.

I figure if it is far as long as I get there Hubby can always go back to the ship and get my scooter after the excursion :) I am sure that will impress him:lovestruc (not)

I am determined to go on this excursion!!! I want him to have a great birthday gift. We have never ever done an excursion because of the fact I use a scooter. So here is hoping for this one.
