So cute! I can relate to traveling bears. My dad travels with a "Bear" too, and he'll be on this trip. He collects pictures of Bear in new places, kind of like "Flat Stanley". I'll try to post a picture of him. Bear only has a pirate eye patch though!

Congrats to all those making their reservations. We're still patiently waiting for our turn.

I was disappointed this morning that I was not able to apply for Tristan's passport. We went to the local post office and were told they no longer do them on Saturday. Will have to wait at least another week since I'll be traveling this week. :headache:

Another warm and humid day here in the UK.....apparently we have rain forecast for tomorrow though...thats more like the England I know!:rotfl2:

Just want to wish all you Gold members good luck on booking all of your requests tonight/tomorrow AM. So exciting cause next up is Silver!!

woohoo! can't wait for 'silver' day!:thumbsup2

My wife and I are traveling to Europe in August for two weeks in Italy and Greece before heading to Barcelona for the Magic cruise back to the US. we will arrive in Barlona on the 14th.

We have not checked out this board before though I listen to the podcast regularly and have been to some DIS events in Orlando the past three Decembers and have done some writing for Passporter.

Is it too late to order t shirts?

Welcome aboard!:cool1:

That's a pity about your friend. There will be more cruises!
Love your fat comment, will be using that one! And less fat is better than more fat, right? I've decided that brown fat looks better than white fat, so I'm booking myself in for a spray tan before we go! :lmao:

So, I went and saw Sex and The City with all my girlfriends last night (no boys allowed). We hired out the entire Gold Cinema and some had Cosmo's, I had Caramel Slice, lol! I love SATC, but I'm not a die hard fan, I could have waited for the DVD release. But........I'm so glad I went, It was sooo funny, I haven't laughed so hard in a long time! A word of warning if our knickers and bra talk last week made you blush, be prepared to turn fire engine red!:banana::banana:

LOVED it too!:lmao: ....also love the 'brown fat' comment...so true!

Thank-you for the Welcome. I did check out the first page and it is a bit overwelming, This is quite an organized group! This will be my second WBTA.

...and welcome from dh (Mark) and I too :woohoo:

....sorry for ranting about my booking woes :lmao: it's 1am and I'm cranky and I let myself vent too freely here :rotfl2: I don't think you can delete posts or I'd go back and delete some of my tantrums ;)

So I think we're all set....we did get most the excursions we wanted, although as I said in my last post we didn't get the times we wanted....and although we can't swim with the dolphins, which is big disappointment, we decided the "Discover SCUBA" excursion where you actually learn to scuba dive and do a 20 minute dive at 30 feet could be fun and certainly not anything we'd ever get to do living here in frozen Rochester, NY.....so my lovely hubby Jason has convinced me that the world is not over becasue we can't swim with dolphins :rotfl2:

I'd have been just as cranky as you, it must have been really frustrating. Glad you got some of the things booked anyway!:thumbsup2

Hi all! Just found you guys and had to catch up reading. Wow! What missing one day will do to you. Can't imagine what's going to happen when we leave for our trip. We fly out this weekend for a 3 week trip. One week in Chicago visiting family, one week in Indiana visiting family and then one week in Phoenix. So, you guys might be on another thread by the time we get back. Well, we can't book things till the 20th. I hope I remember to do it since we'll be gone. Off to bed, since dh has a triathalon in the morning. Hoping the kids wake up early so we can cheer him on at the finish line and then wish him happy birthday! ;)

Sounds like a great trip, how exciting those places sound to me!:)

Ok got what we wanted to book:

Day one:
Sole Delight Foot Treatment w/pedicure: 1:45

Krisann

Oooooh, love the sound of this!:thumbsup2

Only 15 weeks to go now until we board the Disney Magic ....

Welcome to all the newbies!!! Well, I did wake up late - 10:00 for going to bed at 1:00. I got the excursion in Madiera that Krisann was talking about several dozen pages ago. Western Madiera something - I am still out of it - and Tortola beach and lunch. Erik - you do not need to apologize - we are friends and I would have had the computer out the window if I were you. I didn't know you resolved it by the time I went to bed so then I had trouble falling asleep and every time I woke up, I was thinking about what could be going wrong with your ressie. Have fun at the walk - let us know how you did and if the rain stopped.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. It was fun last night!!!:cool1:

Lovely bears!!:littleangel:

You'll have to check this out: http://www.universalorlando.com/harrypotter/.

Having lived in Orlando for 14 years now, we really don't go to the parks very often any more. We WILL be going to Hogwart's, however!

We're staying at the Hard Rock hotel after the crusie so we can get a good long fix of HP land! Can't wait!:woohoo:

Wow - that was an exciting night being able to book! We have 15 days left.

On another note - I started Weight Watchers this morning and man, oh man, I hate dieting. Unfortunately I really need to, so I am sticking w it. DH is onboard too. Eating low-cal soup and some cherries now.

Dieting sucks:guilty: I am trying too, need to loose around 14lbs to fot my cruise clothes, I am determined NOT to be buying any more....

Thanks for all the well wishes and I come with good news. I got the MRI results today and the muscle is not ruptured. It show that is sprain muscle that look like it is heeling and I have swelling in the wrist. There going to try and restrengthen the muscles in my arm with physical therapy and hope that is it. They also think there still could be a pinched nerve causing all the pain. I keep you updated. At least no surgery for now. :cool1::cool1::thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::yay::yay::yay:

Great news for no surgery Ste[hen. So sorry that the MRI was so painful.

Well, I take off a couple of days and have 20 or more pages on part 5 then 20 or so pages here. :surfweb::surfweb::surfweb: I have to stop now and enjoy this beautifull day.

Outside. :sunny:

Good Morning from warm & sunny SF. It is 10:30 am and already 63 degrees out. Suppose to get warm here today. Think this weekend is going to be one of those 10-15 days I wish I had AC (heck I would love to just have a fan - I just have not found one that has enough power). Good to hear things worked out for everyone last night. I just made my list of things to get accomplished this weekend, so now to get started.

good luck with your list, if I spent as much time doing stuff as I did making list I would get a heck of a lot more done.

The pedi sounds great, hope some of those are left by July 5th!
Congrats. :thumbsup2

oh it is wonderful and a fun way to start the cruise off - if we were flying right in without a week in europe before I would not do it but anytime we do the parks or other traveling (that requires lots of walking) this is the perfect thing for me to do!

You would have loved our reservation night for the '08 WBPC!!! I got up to be ready for 5am(what a silly time), and it took 5 1/2 hours to get one reservation!!! Some US folk just gave up, angry and frustrated. Now that ws all to do with all the linked reservations and everyone trying to book at once. The system melted.:headache: Once all the US folk had gone to bed I was then able to book our other Palo reservations, but some never managed. However, everyone who was on the wait list for Palo got their slot at some point onboard.

So don't despair those who want a tea booking. Go and try and book when you first get onboard, and if you can't then get waitlisted.

So that means it is 14 weeks on Tuesday till we set off on our great adventure.:cool1:

WBPC = Swimming fishes (for hours and hours)

Yes go and put yourself on tea waitlist - and keep checking back with them! we do not do dinner or brunch (unless it is with a DIS group) but tea is a must!

...
Oooooh, love the sound of this!:thumbsup2:

oh it is heavenly!

and it is fun to do it the first day because it is during the time of tours of the spa and many Diser's come through! I have my lanyard on and them too so it is fun!

Hello all!

I've just joined this cruise. It's just me (Paul). This will be my 13th DCL cruise but my first on my own. Hopefully I will be able to find enough to keep me busy!

:welcome:

....the stupid site still won't let me get on....it still says someone linked to my reservation is making cruise plans when there is NOBODY linked to my reservation....so it's basically just blocking me from making ressies for no good reason and I know I've already been shut out of at least one of the excursions we wanted to do. If it's not fixed in the next 5 minutes or so we're just going to go to bed and give up and forget it and I guess we'll just get stuck with whatever leftovers are there when we can actually get online

Sorry to hear about your problems but glad you got something resolved.

Good afternoon, it is a hot, humid day here in Virginia

Ever have one of those days where you have so many things you could be doing, but you just feel like doing nothing? That is me today. I worked this morning and now, I just want to veg.

I think I will walk down and get the mail, maybe that will inspire me to do something.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

Don't feel bad, you are allowed to veg. Relax - it is Saturday. I am doing more FE's, laminating magnets and Abby is sewing herself 2 dresses - one for pirate and one just to wear!

After reading for the last half hour boy you are chatty. I last read friday afternoon ugh.

Was able to get Palo brunch and dinner.

As for excursion this is just depressing there was not one I could take that did not say no wheel chairs or electric for any of the ports in Europe. . So I guess I will be going on a shopping excurion in stead :)

I can walk just not far so what would be the point if we we get off to look around I just sit. So I will look more to booking in the caribbean.

Just so sad that the Europe countries as so far behind in accessible tours.

And disney does not help they should list right up front where they have mild moderate etc. There should be a section for accessible tours to save us the disappointment of knowing what is great but can ot go on.

My vent is over thank you.

Ok bad news for some of us - Disney is no longer offering the Dolphin Swim - they did in December but are not for our cruise and they are going to fix the web site where it shows.

I did do some checking and the place that does it does have openings for the day we are there. So the question is - do we do it on our own - not sure - I have not ventured out like that before - and I want to make sure my cruise insurance will cover the cost if we do not get to dock there and miss the excursion.

That is more than rubbish, we were in tenerife(spain) with my uncle in maerch, it was pretty poor, only around 10% of pubs and places to eat doable for him.
