Lauren and I are officially PAID IN FULL!!!! :cool1:

Here is what we were told about theme nights: Nights 2 & 7 are Formal. Night 13 is Semi-Formal. Night 11 is Pirate Night. Night 8 is "Theme" Night. They told us to check back at a later date to find out what "Theme" Night is. :confused3 They said that the EBTA did not have this "Theme" Night. So, I guess we'll eventually find out what that is all about.

Daniel

I can't wait until tomorrow so Ican call the concierge out!!!:rotfl2:

Even if you had previously sent this info, with so changes we need to get a new list toogether. Please email the info to wbta.pirate.shirts@gmail.com.

What we need...
 • DIS Name
 • Actual name
 • Number of shirts and the respective sizes (i.e. 2 Adult large, 1 child small)
 • Shipping address
We need this information sooner rather than later, so if you are interested, please take a moment and send it along!

PRICING: We have confirmation that hte main cruise shorts will run $12 plus shipping. We would like to do PayPal if that works for everyone. Let me know your thoughts, we are just trying to get this as simple as possible.

SHIPPING: I am still willing to carry the non US shirts to Barcelona, and as a reminder, PILK has graciously offered up a US postal box that can be used by the Canadians. The goal here is to avoid excess charges and customs delays - it is not to avoid postage. Anyone who wants a shirt shipped directly to them please let me know - we will have to get the actual postage charges and let you know what they are. For anyone that is ok with me bringing them to Spain, I will let you all know what the shipping across the US costs and we will go from there.

ATTN PARENTS: We ahave concerns on the kids shirts. The logos may be too large to fit on the child sizes. I hope that our Captain can get more details on this soon, and as soo as we have them we will share!

This list will be updated until we are not able to accept more orders. So, any changes, or additions should be sent to wbta.pirate.shirts@gmail.com.

Krisann - the description and picture you sent of the excursion - I AM ON IT! I loved it and it will be quite the experience. Thanks for the inside info - I knew you would know. I don't book until the 5th of June, my husband is away so it will be cruise all weekend. He is not going so I don't want him to feel bad - now I can scream and jump all over the house!!!

I am also excited about "Theme Night" I thought for sure it would be Villans. Let us know what the concierge tells you. Don't be too rough on them :rotfl2:

I wonder if the Theme night might relate to our special entertainment guest(s), hmmmm

PayPal is a great idea! When should we make the payment?

Hi all,

I am terribly behind in reading. I have been helping out at my folks house out of town for the past three weeks. Looks like I will be here a great deal of the summer so that we can get them out of the house and into something more manageable. That process can't really start until we can get the health stabilized.

But onto the Tea portion of the message....

Just wanted to remind everyone on the list that it is different than most of the other lists. From what I have been told we cannot send in a list for afternoon tea.

If anyone has any contacts, please let me know.

If one of the platinum members could make note of the dates and times of the teas, we can decide when to do it.

With all the tastings I am afraid that we will be conflicting with something else.

Do we have a master list of all the activities?

But to recap, each participant will have to book their own tea time during their excursion bookings.

I will try and PM each tea list member and let them know of the date and time.

Once again, if anyone has any ideas that might work better, please let me know. I have never done this before.

We were there on a Sunday and it was the Flower Festiville - so many things were closed as far as shops go. I know one DISer did the following:

Taxi to town
Hop on Hop off Bus
Cable car to top
Tobaggans to the bottom
walked back to ship

for her family of 5 she said it cost over $200 Euro's and she could have skipped it.

My DH and I took a cab into town, went around to the shops (most of which were closed) and then on the way back went up to the park that is up high across from the ship - it was a neat place and had wonderful views if you just want to hang out - maybe get a lunch or something - very nice.

Now others said they liked the tobaggans but it is expensive to "get there" to ride them down.

For us we are going to do the West Side Mediera for ths cruise. I think compared to what others paid to do things there it is worth the money - I talked to someone who took it on the EBTA and said it was really great BUT would not do it on their own as it got back 15 minutes before the cruise left.

I want to swim in the lava rock pools - he said the science museum on that one though was not worth it (you can either do the science or go swim)

So - with that being said - anyone else planning on doing the West Side Madiera excursion?

Krisann

We were thinking of doing this excursion, except I wondered if it is too much time in the bus for the kids. Any thoughts?

My daughter and I were having a conversation tonight at dinner and she wanted me to ask all of you from Great Britain - when you go to Epcot, do you eat in Great Britain or do you avoid it because that is where you live? I said you probably go and she said you probably avoid it. We are just trying to have a fun little debate between the two of us. THANKS!:goodvibes

I can't comment here (though I'm English by birth :) ) but people always love the Poly but it does nothing for me - I already live in the pacific - the long house called Aotearoa = New Zealand, its the Maori word for it :)

And Noel ... yes, I do believe we cruised the mexican riviera together in 2005. That was our first DCL cruise and we have been hooked ever since! I can't wait to have a ship of our own when the Wonder comes permanently to the West Coast. We are already booked on the Thanksgiving 2011 cruise!

Having the Wonder at LA is going to open up Disney cruising to a bunch of people on this side of the planet. Particularly if they ever doing anything novel, like advertise it... lots of people here travel to Disneyland but don't go any further and having the Wonder nearby will make great land/sea vacations.

Paula your hair looks fab,are you going to keep it short?

I actually quite like it now but I think I will grow it out a little bit. Just so I at least recognise me in the mirror :rotfl:

I am afraid to do this... (although I need to...) We haven't figured out any excursions as yet, so I am not sure if I am looking for a private tours or not. Somehow I think that by the time I am able to make this list, it will be staggering...

Sue

I've included "book next cruise deposit" - is that cheating? :rotfl:

We avoid the second formal night too so we should just make it a Dis dinner at Topsiders for all who want to attend. I have done this many times - also we wait till the pizza opens, grab a salad and we are good to go!!!

LOL maybe we should book a table? :)

I am SO glad this conversation was started!! :worship: We have a travel roll of charmin that I will remember to put in and we have a few travel seat covers. The sanitizer wipes will also be on my list. We have never been to Europe, so this is the kind of info we NEED!! :flower3: I think I will keep an eye out for McD's, KFC or Starbucks also. We can always use a coffee.

What about the hotel room? Will there be paper there? :confused3

I don't think its "europe" as such but probably just public restrooms in most parts of the world. When you are at home you probably virtually never use a public bathroom. I know even when I travel for work here, that some of them are pretty nasty - no tissue, no soap, freezing water (if you are lucky). Most NZ'ers wouldn't use them but poor tourists have to. I usually got to shopping malls, fast food places (McD's, Starbucks) etc if I have a choice - they are usually better serviced. Also some larger department stores have restrooms too. I've hit really nasty restrooms pretty much in all corners of the planet - even in the US...

I wonder if we can get Little Britain to do "Little Britain DCL" :lmao::lmao:

My wife Helen exposed me to lil britain , as even though she is Filipino most of her education and her summers were in England ...

We are huge Little Britain fans - Robert is unfortunately a very good mimic and has the "voices" of the various characters perfected... makes for interesting phonecalls. We are constantly quoting some of the lines - particularly Vicki Pollard - yeah, but no, but yeah, what happened was...

Just trying to figure out our FE gifts- are more people doing 1 gift per cabin or per person? Or does it matter? I'm not very creative but I love to think I am  Since we only have 120 days until we leave, I have to get on the ball. I have to stop reading the home made FE gift thread. It gives me too many ideas that I know I can't do!

We are doing per cabin gifts made up of two entirely distinct "things" ;)

I love it when a plan comes together. The following is from Autumn in the Concierge dept. Who was more than happy to share it so I could plan things with my ship mates accordingly. She probably didn't know thathtere were hundreds of us...

But you are only sharing it with your closest friends :rotfl: Thanks for sharing it too!

Robert had a couple of moles removed from his head yesterday - taking advantage of the fact his head's been shaved. He looks seriously hardcore now as instead of stitches, he has 12 staples in his head - looks nasty! Ouch, says he's a bit sore, not surprising!

Attention Southern Ontario/Western New York cruisers,

Who would be up for a pre-pre-cruise meet this summer. Maybe in August. We could try for a meet in the Niagara Falls area. Any takers?

Jon

Yes please
Me and Bob! :lmao::rotfl2::cool1::thumbsup2:banana::dance3:

Wish :wizard:

If you need somewhere cheap - Wetherspoon pubs fit the bill. The food is OK and drink is affordable. They are a big chain however the pubs usually have a bit of character.
I was going to say that too, till I read the gluton thing, I was in last week, vegi burger, fries, salad and a bottle of becks for 5.50 what a bargain.
Not going blind, you just have to stare at the screen, don't break your stare, for 60 seconds. Then blink really fast for a couple seconds. You will then see the extra semi-formal. Go ahead try it, it really works :thumbsup2

If they were thinking about our cruise as much as we are they would have overloaded the server by now :surfweb:

Jon

:3dglasses your right:laughing:

Phew! I couldn't imagine you fitting 100 t-shirts into a carry-on! :lmao::lmao: Also, it's very nice of you to help out our non-US Dis cruisers. :goodvibes

And so say me, :yay:

Really appreciate you working on this one Sue
As you say, its an important bit of the planning for those of us considering which night to book Palo, and how many formal outfits to bring!

The EBTA had a great time on Villains night it seems, with opportunity to make masquarade masks and nice stateroom gifts. Wonder if they plan to repeat for us?

Lyn

Did everybody have fun booking their excursions that could book today? I was thinking about all the fun you must be having and cannot wait till June 5th!:)
