Ok I am stupid here - what is Captain dining? I assume it means you are eating with the captain but how, when, etc.? I have never heard of this.

Captains Dining = Early seating
Crew Dining = Late seating

Oh my what a lot of work you have been doing on our behalf. Thanks Su.

I am really enjoying it... It takes my mind off of my work... LOL!!! Not to mention that once we get to mid June, I am done with much of it. Of course, then I can start to gather what needs to be packed, print magnets, and all the other stuff... :cool1:

Now to make up for the missed week, here are two questions:

#2 What percent of Walt Disney Productions did Walt Disney and his wife own before going public – 60, 80, or 100?

Please PM your answers.

Up front apologies... this is long... So, grab a conch cooler substitute, take a load off and read up on where we are...

Daily Update!
Ahoy Mates! This is the first of many daily updates that will be sent out! I say daily, but I imagine that they could be sent out 2X per day as we are trying to wrap things up and we don’t want anyone to be left out.

T SHIRTS
The t-shirt deadline is looming and I need all ye orders as quickly as possible! We get a price break at 100 shirts and as of today we are at 64. To keep the prices in line, we really need to get all orders in as soon as possible. As a reminder, our cutoff date for ordering shirts is May 31. So, no time like the present, please get your orders in. NO EXTRA SHIRTS WILL BE ORDERED!!!

PRICING:
Shirts should come in at about $12-$13 per shirt. This is for sizes up to an adult XL. Shirts above XL will have a slightly higher price. We are getting a very high quality shirt that should not shrink, and should hold the screened image very well.

SHIPPING:
The captain is able to secure a flat rate to ship for the US. We are looking at about $8 per box. There is no other easy way to do this, so get 1 get 4 the shipping rate will be the same. Shipping internationally may present a problem – but we are not certain. Different countries will treat boxes differently. We are suggesting that we ship one box to country or geographical area – or, if you have a US counterpart that can bring your shirts to the ship that would work as well. Obviously, we can’t and won’t say that we will only ship one box to South Wales, or Australia – but that would be the most economical. For shipping fees for non US orders, please send me your postal code. We will plug it into the system and get the actual costs to ship.

I WILL NEED EVERYONES ADDRESSES FOR SHIPPING.

IF YOU ARE IN THE US – PLEASE SEND ME THE FOLLOWING IN AN EMAIL TO wbta.pirate.shirts@gmail.com:
DIS Name
Real Name
Shipping address including your zip for postal service

If you are outside of the US, I need to know if you are willing to receive and either bring to the ship, or re package and send to other people in your area. For instance, if you are in Australia, are you willing to carry all of the AU and NZ shirts to Barcelona, or are you willing to accept and re post shirts to others in your part of the world. In addition, please let me know the above shipping information shown above via email to wbta.pirate.shirts@gmail.com .

IF THIS IS CONFUSING PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP!

PAYMENT:

We are looking to set up and accept PayPal as this is easier than mailing checks. PayPal accounts are free, but there may be a small service charge on each transaction. While PayPal is preferred, checks and money orders will also be accepted. More details to come on this!

FISH EXTENDER EXCHANGE

For anyone that is interested, I still have spots open!! For those that are new to the group, we had concerns about luggage weight restrictions, so we broke into smaller groups. We are aiming for groups of about 15 cabins – however, the last groups may be smaller or larger depending on last minute signups. ALL ARE WELCOME but we need to have everyone signed up by MAY 28. I am sorry to impose a deadline, however, by this time, the PIF date has passed, and we need to be mindful that people are making gifts.

Once all of the groups are confirmed I will post the final groupings. From here, I would appreciate it if the groups would appoint someone (a group lead) to facilitate cabin assignment changes that take place at time of or after boarding. It is my intention to post the groups before we leave for the airport on the 15th. However, after this date, I am flying blind. Upon boarding, we will post a dry erase board, and put a pad of sticky notes in our FE so you can let me know of cabin changes. I will have the spreadsheet with me and will have a master listing available. If you upgrade or move cabins and your group lead is not onboard, please call our cabin (8548) and leave me a message with your group name (KIWI, PINEAPPLE, etc, your DIS Name, old cabin and new cabin number. If you change cabins after 4pm all aboard, please contact your group lead with the prior information. The group leads will get the message out to the group.

TASTINGS

Deadline of July 10th as we have to get with DCL and get these set up. I suggest the same deadline for the others pulling tastings together. There are a couple of us that will be working with a DCL rep to schedule these. We are aiming for sea days only, avoiding other entertainment series events.

By July 10th I need to have full names and cabin numbers for those that are in the tasting groups. This is not a me thing, this is a DCL thing as they are going to set these up and will be counting on a certain number of people. I will be posting a GOOGLE docs spreadsheet to put this information into. More data to come on this in the next couple of weeks.

Sorry for the long post, just wanted to get it all our there!
Sue

Thank you for all the work you're doing!:worship:

So we had an interesting evening tonight. Around 5:15ish, a thunderstorm started to roll into Allentown, PA. I was at my parent's house at the time and I was just playing around on the computer. Next thing I knew, we had a severe thunderstorm warning...did I mention my parent's are puppy-sitting two dogs and one dog HATES thunderstorms. The storm starts and it's gettng pretty bad...next thing I know, I heard hail...1-3" inch hail. I run to the front of the house and look out the window at our cars parked in the driveway and the hail was bouncing off the cars like mad! :scared1:

So it continues to hail...next thing I know my sister tells us that there is a tornado warning! There is no basement at my parent's house so my sister says that we are going into the bathroom because there are no windows in there. So, my sister gathers our purses, we put the dogs on their leashes and take the computer into the bathroom. We were in there for a good 15 minutes until the storm had passed. Although we didn't have a tornado, a funnel cloud was reported in a town next to Allentown.

We don't get funnel clouds or tornado warnings very often, so when they happen it is scary. When the storm was over, the skies cleared and the sun came out. Thankfully there was no damage done to the cars... but it was an interesting early evening!

scary!!!!

Good morning :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

We now have .......

ONLY 18 WEEKS TO GO UNTIL WE BOARD THE DISNEY MAGIC:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

:cool1::cool1:

Paula....love your hair!!!:woohoo: You look great, you're so luky you can pull off a crop like that, I'm jealous!:thumbsup2 Well doen to you for raising all the money too!

Corrina.....we were on the Jade twice last year and had problems with kids too :rolleyes1 Loved the cruise apart from that, but they do need to organise more activities for young people! (It's no Disney though :thumbsup2)

We've spent the m orning in the garden, tidying and weeding and mowing...now getting ready to watch the FA cup (soccer for non-Brits):thumbsup2 on TV.....

Have a good weekend everyone!:littleangel:

We enjoyed our cruise, too, but it did not even come close to sailing on DCL. Still, I have the feeling that we will ultimately do a Baltic cruise and a Panama canal cruise on NCL. I did a trip report about our back to back cruise on the Jade. This is linked under the heading "Cheating on the Mouse Boats" in my signature.

Speaking of trip reports, I am busily working on the trip report for our last cruise. I have posted it up to including our day in Malta. I have Tunis ready to go and I am nearly finished with typing up Rome. Naples is about half done. If anybody wants to have a look, it is linked in my signature under "Magical Mystery Tour"

The preparations for this cruise really have started in earnest now. The first part of my Fish Extender gift arrived today and I ordered two more components today. This is coming together quite nicely. I have also ordered the first t shirt today. There are three or even four designs that I want to have printed on t shirts.

I think I have my packing list pretty much sorted out as well. I will take one t-shirt for every port and pants or shorts to go with them. On sea days I will wear sun dresses. They are lighter and I noticed on this cruise that I prefer wearing dresses when I am on the ship all day. I took three pairs of shoes (a pair of Crocs, my running shoes and nice shoes for the evening) on our last cruise and that worked really well. I will take a light jacket and one Fleece for the colder days. That should then leave enough room for my formal and semi-formal dresses, swimsuits and Fish Extender gifts.

DCL Horn fans here too,
My phone rings the DCL Horn:thumbsup2
We found a recordable door bell for our house. It now rings the DCL horn too.:cool1:
Hoping we can find a DCL horn for our car!:rotfl2:

Congratulations. Are you happy with your assignment? I have to go and check our reservation now.

Corinna

We are mid ship so that will be nice if the weather is touchy and just down the hall from the laundry. So stop in and say "HI" while waiting for the spin cycle to end :)

I just can't wait to go! It's been a hard year for me already and we are only 5 months into the new year.

We need a new door bell, and I would love horn one, but not sure I can get one here. Will be looking out!!!

If a lifeboat was all I was getting, I would be ok with that too. Just to be on the ship is enough for me :)

On our 2008 WBPC, there were so many of us with GTY cabins, we formed a Lifeboat crew!!! Just a bit of fun as it did become tedious waiting for an assignment. I think it was around the month prior to the cruise. someone made printed tees with a logo!!! We chose our own lifeboats too.:rotfl2:

Must have a look at your reports, sounds good....
You're so well organised! I feel very 'behind' at the moment and need to get myself sorted!:rolleyes1

We went from GTY status to an actual stateroom today!!!!!

yay!:dance3: we're holding out to the last minute I think.....:rolleyes1

I prefer being forward, but wherever they will put us, I will be happy as long as it is not higher than a category 11.

Noooooo, I'm so sorry for you. However John will be happy that I don't have to force him on for once!!!

Yes I remember it being closed at DL after the PC cruise and we had been told it was slightly different and worth riding!!! I would have thought by now that Angie and Dennis and their love story would be famous enough for Disney NOT to close IASW when they are going to a Dianey park!!! Not good enough IMHO!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I guess Dennis will have to share it with yet one more Cast Member!! :lmao::lovestruc

Lynn, we will ship direct to you - no worries. We were looking for options to save people money thats all.

As for cabin numbers, I know we have to supply as much info as possible to book out the tastings, but hey, if DCL doesn't assign the cabin number, then they can't really get too bent about it...

Full name and GTY will work for this.

Krisann

That would be Captain Jack on this cruise. :)pirate: Early

I have Mine, Mine, Mine from Nemo as my phone text message ringtone.

We bought a programable (sp???) airhorn for our motorhome and Dennis put DCL ship horn on that. Fun to sound it when we pull out of a campground or pull up to friends' or family's homes! They know we have arrived!!!:woohoo:

Hi all, as some of you know, I (and my colleagues) have been fundraising for Canteen and Child Cancer Foundation. Thanks to those here who donated to our cause :lovestruc

We raised nearly $5000 over the last 8 or so weeks and last night we had our heads shaved.

I opted of a #4 on the clippers as I didn't want to look like a skinhead for our trip not to mention, I burn very easily and even though its nearly winter here now, the UV index is still very high (we have the highest rate of skin cancer in the world (even more so than Australia).

So without further ado, here is my new style - its taking some getting used to I have to say and it feels like a plush toy :rotfl:

Also while I was updating pictures, I also updated the Candy Swap page - still room to join if anyone is interested. I'd be happy to create group 6 ;)

You look fabulous!! DH and I just love the pic of you and you sweet fur baby. I think what you did deserves a commendation!!

Just my thoughts...
