HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Elastic and Drawstring, that's my cruise wardrobe plans!:thumbsup2

That sounds like a fantastic walk, can we also take a snack with us for the walking part? Maybe a mickey head ice-cream?

20lbs is fantastic, good on you, what's your trick?

ELASTIC AND DRAWSTRING CLOTHING - new thread title!!!!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Oh yes, plenty of snacks while we walk!!!!!

Sorry Angie, I missed the post where you said you had lost 20lbs - very well done.

Looking forward to seeing less of you!!

Good morning .... and Happy Mother's Day to all of our US and Australian Moms :hug::hug::hug:

What did your DH do in the RN? My cousin is married to a RN officer (I think they're stationed in Portsmouth).

He worked in Electronic Warfare .... basically identifying and analysing communications and locations of other vessels, aircraft etc via computers
.
Isnt it funny that len and tony were at the falklands, its a small world.

I think Tony's ship didn't make it ..... their engine blew up on route. :scared1:

I may just have to hit the gym a few times or go round the deck a few times depending on how much I indulge.

I definitely want to try out the gym this time, and do some power walking before breakfast. One mile walk = extra cinnamon bun :cloud9:

You know.....that means only 19 weeks more weeks of work.

If I am quiet this weekend I might make it to 5000 posts:laughing:

I think you stand a good chance of making it to 5000 posts :woohoo:

We were actually surprised that we coped just fine with our luggage allowance. We had less than half of what we could have had for handluggage and I had precisely 20kg for my suitcase, but DH had only 16.5 kg. We had also packed some stuff that we never used. We did some laundry on the ship, which we will be doing next time round as well. So all is good. The only problem was that I really wanted a scrapbook and some scrapbook stuff to go with it and did not dare to buy it because of the weight. As the scrapbook was one for the Med cruises, I am kind of hoping that this will be available at a discount on our cruise. If they still have it, I will buy it on the first sea day and then post it to my work address from Gibraltar.

Corinna

Pleased to hear it can be done with a weight allowance of 20kg per person. We have a bigger allowance coming back .... 23kg per person so that equates to 6 kg of souvenirs.

Can we join the
PIF
gang?!?

Woo hoo! We are all set! Paid in full just now. :cool1::yay::dance3::cheer2:

Congratulations
on joining the PIF Club :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

ok for anyone who wants to see them I finally have all my navigators and other info sheets scanned and posted in a facebook album.

http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2061536&id=1139906413&l=1bdcf464f3

Now when I put them in I dated/numbered everything but now on Facebook they are not that way! If anyone would like me to send them the file with everything just let me know! There are 77 images!

Krisann

We have really enjoyed looking at these ..... thanks for sharing and taking the time to scan them all in.

Also how many are staying at WDW post cruise ?? We booked Animal Kingdom for a night through DVC ...

pirate:

We have booked one night at POFQ .... wish it could have been longer as one day in WDW is just not enough.

We joined the PIF Club several weeks ago with a payment on the Disney Visa, but I didn't want to say anything until I paid off the credit card. Did that yesterday.

Also on a good or I guess I should say wonderful note. I got the pathology report back from the growth on my pancreas and the report said there was no malignant potential for the cyst. I can not even begin to describe the relief my family and I felt when I read that report. Thank you all for you support through this.

Excellent news with the PIF, but even more excellent news about the cyst. :thumbsup2

After lunch, how about:

Walk to drink station
Walk to room for afternoon nap
Walk to Pluto's for post nap snack
Walk to the ice cream place for post nap snack dessert
Walk by gym with ice cream in hand
Walk to Pinnochio's for pre dinner warm-up
Walk to restuarant for dinner
Walk to ice cream place for post dinner dessert
Walk to Pluto's for pre bed time snack
Walk to Pinnochio's for bed time snack
Walk to Ice cream place for bed time snack since the one from Pinnochio's didn't make it to the room
Walk to drink station
Walk to stateroom phone for room service.

That should take care of the walking part. :lmao:

Jon

Can we have a special group for this please Jon?:worship:

We're staying 5 nights in Orlando after the cruise....but not doing Disney.....:sad1: We decided we'd concentrate on Universal this trip and are staying at our fave hotel the Hard Rock :cool2:

It is a crazy day here today in TO, crazy winds, cold. But I got a new dress for the cruise, and it was on sale! I am making DM a roast beef dinner.

Pj

Roast beef and yorkshire pudding for us today too PJ!:thumbsup2 I had a look round town yesterday for cruise dresses and have seen some that I hope are on sale before we go :thumbsup2

Thanks to those who have asked to be my friend on facebook! I am really feeling weird and out of the loop on this cruise as the last two long cruises I have been on the board since day 1 of booking and I feel like I am coming into this so late in the game and out of the loop - there are a few I already know and that is really nice! I hope to continue to get into the loop of things in this short of time.

Do we have a facebook page for the Cruise?

Thanks for letting me ramble :)

Krisann

Thanks for adding me Krisann, it's always good to have more friends!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all moms here and everywhere! I've been blessed with a fantastically wonderful mom and she learned from a super mom, my late grandmother.

I had a nice visit from youngest DS and his GF last night and will be going to a brunch this morning at my oldest DS and DIL!!

A nice day all around!!

Wonderful news Donna ... you must all be so relieved :hug::hug:

Good news about the PIF too :woohoo:

I had a surprise today ... we have been putting together some new bedroom furniture and this has resulted in me having to have a good sort out of my clothing .... during which I discovered a lovely semi-formal dress from Per Una which I bought in last years sale. I had completely forgotten about it. So thats one less thing to have to buy ..... :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I'm really almost excited at the prospect of going shopping for some nice clothes, even though realistically it will probably be a big failure!!!:rotfl:

Last time for the PC cruise we left in April, so not many things to choose from by that time, and no way could I find anything remotely 'eveningy' as they all go in the sales after Christmas. At that time I was hoping to lose weight!!! ;)Actually put weight on of course so it would not have been a good idea anyway!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

This time the summer sales will be in full swing, and maybe some dressy items coming into the shops ready for the Christmas party season. One can hope.:rotfl2:

I am looking forward to the summer sales too ..... hopefully there will be lots of bargains. I need one more formal dress and some dressy silver sandals which will hopefully go with everything. I also need some wedges for the cruise casual nights and a couple of cruise casual dresses. I still need to lose half a stone though and seriously tone up the baggy bits :rolleyes1

Okay, why has it been so difficult to find a place in Barcelona that will have 2 adults and 2 children ..LOL I know most of you are coming in like the 15th or later but I am trying to find something for one night on the 7th so we can catch the ship for the last med cruise ... Has anybody booked for a fam of 4 and where ?? What kind of price ?? Thanks for any help you can give ...I know some have suggested other hotels but some come up a bit expensive ...

Also how many are staying at WDW post cruise ?? We booked Animal Kingdom for a night through DVC ...

pirate:

Try looking into apartments that rent for one night - sleeps 4 or more and much cheaper. Hadley did that 3 years ago so I will e-mail here and get you the website if you want it.

You know with this talk about walking I made an observation after spending 2 weeks on the ship and then returning to an "american" hotel in Nashville - it is so easy on the ship to take the stairs - they are right there - encouraging you to take them - when the elevator is taking too long :) but when you are at places in the US like hotels, shopping malls, etc., stairs are like some dirty secret, concrete and metal, behind doors, hidden off in some corner that everyone is scared someone is hiding in ready to attack them. I feel encouraged to take the stairs on the ship (not that I always do) because they are inviting - maybe if all the stairs were not hidden away in the US we might be more encouraged to take them!

Just a few thoughts . . .

Don't mention baggy bits!!!!:sad2: Being older I'm not sure they will ever tone up now!!!:rotfl: I will attempt to keep them covered.:rotfl2:

:welcome: to all the new friends who have joined the cruise and to all those who have joined the PIF club in the last week
