Hi, Connie. I haven't talked to Yvet and Emiel since they left for EBTA. Candida might have, she is usually the one that does that stuff. Are you near Delft or is it through DIS that you know Yvet?

In The Netherlands is every place near Delft, our Country is not that big as Canada. But we live about a hour drive from Delft, it's a nice place you will see. I know Yvet from the Floridaforum, it's a dutch forum. And i have asked some things about the cruise they did. And told Yvet that i asked where you were staying in the Netherlands and you told me in Delft. And i had read on the forum they live in Delft so i told Yvet about you.

Hope you will have a great time in our Country and offcourse whit Yvet.

Connie

Hi Everybody! I haven't been on the boards because we cancelled the trip back in January, but we rebooked and so excited! It is just my DD (13) and I. My DH couldn't get that much time off, that is why we originally cancelled but we decided just the two of us will go because we were so excited to read about the EB TA. I love the Cinco de Mayo table and Becca's outfit and beyond that I have not read, but I am sure a lot is happening.

We have our travel through Disney so we do not arrive in Barcelona until Saturday morning. I would like to be on the FE list again, but if that is too late, I understand. I am going to go back to Page 1 and read the first thread with all the info. I look forward to meeting everyone!!!!:banana:

Welcome back, Glad you decided to join us! :goodvibes

Welcome back!!!! It's really getting close to the cruise! :)

I'm spending the day with my hubby since he took the day off of work after his late night seeing the midnight showing of Ironman 2. We're going for a late lunch soon and then who knows after that!

Sounds Fantastic! I hope you had a beautiful day. ;)

Thanks for all the good wishes. Everything worked out OK and we had a wonderful time. I will post a bit more once I am caught up with this thread.

I just love the flowers of spring, don't you?

I love this photo.

So happy to find out that my friend Laura aka eeyorelvr10, will be on this cruise with us. She has been booked but was not sure if she was going to be able to go. I first met Laura in 2006 on the 11 night Southern and we have been "cross country" friends ever since and have sailed every September together since then...Matter of fact we sailed on the WBTA in 2007 together....Now to just help get her signed up for all the fun activities!!!!

I think we cruised with her on the 5 night special cruise on the Magic in 2008. The magnet she gave us has pride of place in my kitchen.

Hello fellow WB cruisers....my DW and I have been on 22 Disney cruises but none quite like this one coming up.....we have always gotten the Magic or the Wonder in Florida so it will be so different flying to Barcelona and then joining the Magic....we have done everything through Disney so we have no idea the specifics of our flights just yet....heck....we have a GTY stateroom so we have no idea where we will be on the ship....but we WILL BE ON the ship and that is all that matters. I am 57 and DW is 53.....and so looking forward to a 14 day voyage....If you guys could kind of catch us up to speed on the goings on it would be appreciated....cause it would probably take months to read the whole threat from the beginning.
We are so looking forward to joining you all for this fabulous cruise!
Tom & Marilou

:welcome: on board.

I took a good look at the volume of work in my job:surfweb::surfweb: for the months of Sept and Oct and I have decided for my own sanity that it wouldn't be a good idea to take off for two weeks the end of Sept. I am so sad right now but hopefully we will get to cruise together sometime in the future I am actually thinking about the May 2011 EBTA.

Have a wonderful cruise everyone. I will still be reading all your posts and may pop in once in awhile to say "HI":):)

I am sorry that you can't make it.

Hi just read a post on the main cruise line board that someone from the UK has had an e mail from amazon UK that they cannot get any copies of Passporters DCL 2010 and they are dropping it from the listings. We had a copy ordered and wonderimg if anyone else has heard anything,

DW has not heard anything apart from one saying they were experiencing a delay with the publisher.

Unfortunately I got this email as well when I checked my emails in Barcelona. I was hoping that I would have it in time for our Med cruise and now I am starting to doubt if I will even have it in time for our Transatlantic.

I wrote on the EB Transatlantic website about lunch deck parties, but the person did not know because she avoided the food :sad1: so Krisann - did they have afternoon deck parties with a lunch buffet and games? We really enjoyed them on the '07 repo. They also had an afternoon chocolate fountain that I am still dreaming about. They said to ask someone else that was on the EB so I thought you would be a great source since it seems like you didn't miss anything that was fun!!!

WHAT!!! Avoided food? This makes no sense to me!!

:woohoo:My waitlist came through!!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

So now we have our villa for two nights after the cruise. :dance3:

We can now purchase our MNSSHP tickets for Sunday. We can decide where to eat Saturday and Sunday. We can start looking for Southwest flights to go on sale to return home. :dance3::dance3::dance3:

This was the last unknown. Now we have a villa at the Boardwalk. I've never stayed there so it goes along in my idea of staying at all of the DVC resorts. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

We can boat or walk to EPCOT on Saturday. Eat ourselves crazy. Ride Soarin' a couple of times. See Captain EO. I wanna do breakfast at Cat Cora's place. Also want to try Jellyrolls. Also want to go to Kimonas sushi bar. :yay::yay:

I want to get coffee in the morning and take some panoramic photos of the boardwalk area in the early sunlight. I want to walk across the little bridge and get ice cream from Beaches and Cream.

I want to watch the first half of the Eagles/Redskins game at the ESPN club. :cheer2::cheer2:

I want to go to the party!! I wanna see the Boo To You parade! I wanna see the headless horseman. I wanna get candy! :cool1:  pirate: pirate:

I should cheer up shouldn't I???:rotfl::lmao:

Hey Steffy - love your after cruise plans but I can't help noticing that quite a bit of your plans involve FOOD!!! :rotfl2:

We are not Hispanic but it is a holiday that is celebrated widely here in California. For those who want to be in the know:

From Wikipedia:

Cinco de Mayo (Spanish for "fifth of May") is a holiday held on May 5 that commemorates the Mexican army's unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguín.

According to a paper published by the UCLA Center for the Study of Latino Health and Culture about the origin of the observance of Cinco de Mayo in the United States, the modern American focus on that day first started in California in the 1860s in response to the resistance to French rule in Mexico.[16] The 2007 paper notes that "The holiday, which has been celebrated in California continuously since 1863, is virtually ignored in Mexico."

The date is perhaps best recognized in the United States as a date to celebrate the culture and experiences of Americans of Mexican ancestry, much as St. Patrick's Day, Oktoberfest, and the Chinese New Year are used to celebrate those of Irish, German, and Chinese ancestry respectively. Commercial interests in the United States have capitalized on the celebration, advertising Mexican products and services, with an emphasis on beverages, food and music.

I think us Americans just like to party for any occasion:cool1:

"Oh, look the new phone books are out!":rotfl:
