Have a great time!

Hi Ya'll,

Long post but happy results!!! :goodvibes

After suffering two weeks from Vertigo, I am feeling about 99% better tonight. I had called the Dr. on Monday and he gave me some information to check on the web for some exercises. He also did mention that there is a center that helps with the dizziness and if I wasn't feeling better in a few days, we could consider that. I called back yesterday and my information was given to the center and they called today and I was set up with an appointment for next Wednesday. But I told her that if there was any cancellations to call me and I could make it in since I wasn't working. Well as luck was in my corner, she called back and there was an opening for today. When the therapist started asking me questions and explaining how the inner ear works and the dizziness affects one, I felt such a relief. I was feeling all those symptoms and I knew I was going to be helped. Then we did a few exercises to find out where my problems was. She then had me put these big goggles on and I could not see but there was a little camera inside that could see my eyes. She had me lay down and the world started spinning but I had to keep my eyes open. That was hard. Then she sorta jiggled my head and tapping on a few places. After that, I rested and we did it all again. She feels that she was able to manipulate the crystals and I should be feeing much better. I have to admit that driving home I was already feeling much better. I did take a nap this afternoon cause she did say I would be very sleepy. For the next few days I have to sleep on just my left side and by next Friday, I will go back in and she hopes this visit helped me so I don't need another treatment. :cool1:

Yes I am a little miffed that the Dr didn't mention this sooner even though I know they usually like to treat with medicine first. If I hadn't seen my sisters post to me about manipulations and crystals, I would have not known to ask more questions and get more help.

I have never heard of this, but wow! Glad it seemed to help.

Angie, if William is back and you can ask for him as our server, I will kiss you!!!!! :upsidedow:):upsidedow:):upsidedow

PIF gang is growing, awesome!:woohoo:

Pj

I will certainly ask. He is amazing and such a very nice person! :lovestruc

So many to make.... But we did it, and decided to upgrade to a cat 3. So, I am now trying to get a list of all the little things that I would try to arrance and can now pass to someone else! We haven't stayed in a suite before so if there are things that the concierge can set up that might not be on my list, please let me know!

So, other decisions... What to do for excursions... I am pretty sure that we want to do the City Under Siege tour in Gibralter. And that is about where I am stuck. I would love to go snorkeling with Stephen - but that leaves Glenn and Becca on their own, so I am not sure what to do...

What is everyone else doing?

Okay, I'm just going to put this out there. If there are any cabin gifts that you don't want, please send them Terry and my way. We are BFF (best friends forever) but we live 20 miles apart. And I'm already wondering how pratical it will be to cut the little steamer trunk in half.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

So if you are going to toss it out, recycle so we don't have to say.. you have custody for the fist half of the year, and I get it the second half. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

One year I got the castaway cay bag, the next year she did. We each have one cup each year so they are mismatched.:rotfl2:

The only things we don't have to negotiate are the DVC gifts. They go home with me.:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

So if you have no room in your case for the little cardboard box, think of us.
!!! And if you are wondering what are you going to do with yet another castaway cay bag, think of us!!

Thank you so much for reading... Back to our regular postings now. :goodvibes:goodvibes:surfweb:

I didn't even know they gave out gifts!!! So I'm pretty excited :cool1:
Why don't you try e-mailing DCL and letting them know there are 2 of you in the room, can't hurt to try? :confused3

Steph - on the last WBTA I travelled with my sister. I emailed DCL about a month out and said "look we're travelling together but live seperately (had our addresses down as seperate on reservation too) so could we possibly get 2 of everything" and they said "we can't guarentee" but when we got onboard they did give us two of everything! Honestly contact them! Its worth a shot as they only chuck them at the end of the cruise because they are dated! Also when onboard check with your room steward as he might be able to find extra too!

Hey, that's what I thought, Give it a go!;)

I'm doing my Royal Statistical Society Higher Exam which is basically the equivalent to the first year of a Statistics degree spread over 2 years.

OK Sarah, I don't even know what that it, I mean I know what statistics are but I didn't know you could get a degree in it! You must be a smarty pants! :goodvibes

OMG.... I just got back from the East Bound Trans and it was awesome... I went with my two friends who had never cruised before and they had a blast.... well to make a long story short, guilt set in that my dh and by 2 dd's didn't get to go, so now we have re-booked for the September return...

I am very EXCITED... I also have almost all of the navigators from that cruise so if anyone wants any information,,, I'll be glad to share.

My crew: DH - Peter, me - Denise, dd- Jessica 12, dd- Kimberly 8

This will be my 10th cruise
My DH's 9th cruise
and my dd's 8th cruise.

We also did the Trans in 2007 (the return) and so everyone is so looking forward to this trip.

Hope to see you all there.

Denise
:welcome:
I hope you don't mind if we pick your brain over the next few months!

Thanks everyone for the info on M&S... sounds good!

Welcome aboard!
Be sure to PM tig82174 to get on the Lanyard list
Actually that's probably good advice for all the new comers.
Hopefully they can still be accommodated

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the lanyard list is closed of now. Maybe you'll just scrape in :confused3

Welcome to the club!!!! AND enjoy Mousemeets and meeting all your friends!

I'm excited as I just purchased our MNSSHP tickets for after the cruise!! :cool1:

I just got mine too, we're going on the 7th October, You?

Our beagle stole chewed up and sometimes ate photographs!!!:headache: And food, and tore wallpaper off the walls.

We have a spoodle (cocker spaniel / poodle), she chews everything! She ate my BAS last week which is my quarterly tax activity statement that needed to be lodged, Had to ring the tax department and request another form! She can get into my walk-in pantry and eats everything from dry pasta to cereal, she also loves eating pens and the little hard bit on the bottom of thongs (flip-flops).

Just joined the PIF club!!
:cool1::cool1:
:welcome: to the club!:dance3::dance3:

Congrats to all the PIF folks! Hoping to join you early next week!

Us, too. Day 1 pin and all. Used the points for all of our extras on a previous cruise. But the increase in interest rate was totally unjustified, so we closed it.
I hate Chase. I'm also a charter member and because I didn't use my card for many months, they shaved my credit limit to almost nothing while I was on my cruise a couple of years ago. I can not begin to tell you how angry I was. Livid doesn't even come close.

while I was on my cruise[/B] a couple of years ago. I can not begin to tell you how angry I was. Livid doesn't even come close.

I would have been beyond livid as well! They always treated us fine, until that final ridiculous rate increase. :sad2:

Terry, I'm serious, I went through the same tests and the same diagnosis a year and a half ago. Go to your local amusement park and ride the most inverted coaster you can find... repeatedly.
I did this a year ago by accident (Hulk coaster 12 times over 3 days)and it helped me. :thumbsup2

So, does this mean that you just signed up for a cabin tour? Maybe make it a Party/meet spot for a couple of hours on a sea day?:confused3

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the lanyard list is closed of now. Maybe you'll just scrape in :confused3

It just recently closed, Erik hasn't sent out the complete list yet. I believe he should be able to accommodate New cruisers up until the PIF date.
That is why I wanted them to PM Erik and not chance him missing the post.

Us, too. Day 1 pin and all. Used the points for all of our extras on a previous cruise. But the increase in interest rate was totally unjustified, so we closed it.

I agree that the interest rate is high. :scared1: However, we take advantage of the six months no interest for the purchase of Disney packages on the card. And we put big ticket items on the card, that we have cash for, to get the Disney Rewards Dollars, then pay it off. :cool1: We will be using the Disney Reward Dollars on this cruise. :cheer2:

Normally you won't catch me near any kind of roller coaster. EVER!!!!!!

I have to admit I just love, love the Rockin Roller Coaster, but since I can't get down to WDW, I am just happy that the manipulations she did today helped.

I can so remember that. You couldn't speak for a day after that happened!!!!That was during Mouse Meets on our Dec 2008 cruise.

:love:We are Proud Owners of 6 Beagles:love:
"The Beagle is the most ancient breed of hound. In a smaller orm, she was used to hunt game hundreds of years before the advent of the Romans. A dog of great dash, the Beagle is relentless in the chase- the rabitt and hare being its accustomed quarry. The Beagle is also friendly to the world, as can be seen in her soft brown eyes, and is as good a house dog as she is a keen tracker."

ps..ours steal our food too.:thumbsup2
relentless in the chase is the understatement of the year, he once took off after a deer for 3 days, it was the worst 3 days of my lie I think.
Our beagle stole chewed up and sometimes ate photographs!!!:headache: And food, and tore wallpaper off the walls.
yip, thats beagles for you.
We have a beagle too! His name is Rocky. He doesn't bark which is wonderful! I'll have to post a picture because he is so adorable!

Krista
beagle pics are good:thumbsup2

Very interesting, glad your feeling better.
On our last Magic cruise, there didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for rotation assignments.

We always request a rotation that puts us in Lumiere's on formal nights, too. We also reserve Palo for casual nights (usually on AP nights). We enjoy getting dressed up for dinner - which is one reason you'll never find us on NCL!!!
We love dressing up too. I like animators palate for formal night cause it matches my fav dress:rotfl:

I hope this works for you. It must be horrid feeling dizzy the whole time and I think I would give anything a try. All the best.

YAY! Cat 3, you lucky thing!!!
We also want to do the City under siege in Gibralter, and we're pretty stuck after that. We'd like to go up the cable cars in Madiera. Not really interested in any of the boat adventures as we have a boat of our own. Maybe the glass bottom boat? Would love to go horse riding but kids are too young?
We're in the same boast as you when it comes to port excursions :confused3:lmao:

relentless in the chase is the understatement of the year, he once took off after a deer for 3 days, it was the worst 3 days of my lie I think.

I think its so funny the names we give to these posh cross breeds, we had a schnoodle the other day, too many to mention, she sounds like a devil.

Wow, scary 3 days! My Holly took off after some ducks a few days ago and went swimming to the other side of the river, My DD7 was swimming after her in her full school uniform, shoes and all, That was only an hour and was pretty scary! 3 days would have been horrendous!
Yes, the 'posh names' that they give to cross breeds just so they can charge you more money for them, and really, they are just bitsa's (bit of this, bit of that) :rotfl:

Question for the UK residents -
I tried to order the DCL DVD and it doesn't have Australia available on he list, so I e-mailed DCL to ask if I could get one. NO! They won't send to Australia, just wondering whether they post to the UK? Weird? I wonder why not?
It's not a major problem, I just wanted to prepare and excite the family with the DVD. :confused3

Well I have finally bitten the bullet and joined the PIF Club .... decided it might be best with the elections coming up next week and all and the pound may just weaken against the dollar. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

We are off to Mousemeets UK tomorrow ... the first ever UK Disney convention .... and we are meeting up with Lynne and Len :woohoo:
plus lots of our Disney friends from the UK. I'm really excited :woohoo:

Im giving up and waiting until the last minute to pay in full. Voted yesterday as going to be away so had to do a postal vote. Well just see what happens

Hope you and Lynne have a fab time this weekend! Missing you both! Wish I could have made it!

Well as our Passporter was not available, :sad1: we went ahead and ordered a Birnbaum DCL 2010 guide. Arrived today and must say a bit disappointed as there is no mention of any Trans Atlantic, Med or Baltic cruises. :confused3 For a so called official guide to not even acknowledge that the Magic will be out of the Carribean for half of 2010 is most unusual to say the least. Thinking about writing to them to express our disappointment.

Oh my God! Really? So glad I didn't order this!
