So, I have my Glee review written! I want to add pictures and I don't have time right now to do that. I'll try to post it later tonight.

That is terrible about what happened in the UK. I always hate to hear things like that...

I am sure they will be covering it and trying to work out why, but will anything turn up the truth now he is dead?

I suppose not unless he left some sort of note. Very sad day which also brings us more news about Joran Van der Sloot. I am going to stop reading the news today and do something else.

I had great time reading the funny posts about the laundry room, under wires and undies etc.

Krisann, I usually stay ironing in the laundry room while my clothes are washing and drying. This trip I just may just send everything out!!!

Just my thoughts....

I was thinking of sending mine out too Noel, especially if I need to wear an outfit again to dinner. Do you know how much that costs?

I just got an e-mail from DCL reminding me about booking Palo and excursions on the 5th. Little do they know, my whole day is focused around that!!

Oh I feel so much better now as I didn't know anyone else who had ever had this happen! We can start a club!

Honestly now girls we need to start a group!

I see another group coming! :thumbsup2

Hope none of our UK DIS family have friends or relatives near where this happened. Our prayers go out to the families.

A friend on another board lives in the area and was saying its suh a small comunity everyone knows someone who was hurt, so sad.:sad2: Also, even worse because its the same area that 10 days ago a school bus crashed and the dead included a girl who should have been celebrating her 16th Birthday. Tragic for all concerned.

Realy looking forward to reading it thanks!:)

We've just got back from the cinema seeing SATC 2 and loved it, especially the Liza Minelli cameo! What fun!:cheer2:

There is a sticky that gives info but the post is from 2005 so not sure how current the prices are:

Anybody have more current info?

I don't mind ironing a few things if I have time but this cruise seems to be especially busy with activities.

I am laughing though about all the undie talk earlier. You girls made my morning. I have never been scanned or stopped so I guess I should continue buying from the same store.

Okay, silly question because I read someone's post about going to Deck 9 and partying while doing laundry. We never stay in the laundry room while we do wash - do you guys? Somebody made it sound like that was wrong but I just thought it would be a waste of time. I doubt your stuff would get stolen, the only thing I wash are undies and that would just be wrong! Do you guys actually sit and wait - please tell me the protocol.

I go and leave my laundry, but will be back before it finishes. I would hate to be in a cabin accross or next door in case there is much loud chat and noise.

On our PC cruise someone in the next cabin told me someone had trainers drying one night. Bang, bang, bang...........!!!!!:sad2:

A card carrying member of the under wire bra group!

A quick translation for some of those here in the USA. Trainers are tennis shoes or sneakers.

Wow - after a little snafu - the excursions are booked. All except for Tortola - DH gets everything sick so debating on leaving him on the ship and kidnapping Disneysweetie for a girls only excursion.....I mean - we are after all in the Caribbean....when in Rome.....:rotfl2::lmao:

Of course, I usually translate before I write, sorry!!! Trouble is tennis shoes here are quite light up to our trainers, so wouldn't make the same noise in a dryer!

We looked into booking ahead, and then started to lean towards a cab. I would rather have it reserved so we are met with a sign - especially as there are 2 adults, 2 most likely tired and grumpy kids, 8 suitcases, 2 backpacks... I did write to one company - Barcelona Taxi Van, and we were quoted 50 Euro for "This is a closed price which includes taxes, luggage and air conditioned van vehicle". I don't know if that is good or not... Anyone??

Lynn I was wondering where you were as well. Hope that you are able to get back online soon!

I just booked our transfers from the airport to hotel with Barcelona Taxi Van.....they quoted me at 55 Euros for 2 adults and 2 - 4 suitcases. A little more than what you were quoted but that is ok.

I am watching the TV about the shooting spree and unfortunately I thought it was the US also. You are right Noel, they would show it allllllll day. Hope all of our dis family are safe.

Nope I'm with you! I'm sure I'm cursed but I always go for a wonder when its in and then come back 30 mins later to move to a drier!

Tortola wont be the same when we leave!!! :rotfl:

Just popping in to say hello - I`ve been away, taking my elderly Dad to visit relatives. I`m not even going to try to catch up.
Everything is very very stressful here. DD gets her uni results next week and needs at least a 2:2 to continue with her career choice.
Our local school and DD`s old school had a terrible tradegy last week - a bus crash killing two and badly injuring nine others. Today not far from here there have been random shootings - twelve killed and 25 injured. Even though we have not been directly affected (not that we know of) everything is too close to home.
DD and I are going on the Baltic cruise next week - thankfully for us, that is easy to do. Anyway we can`t book for Palo`s when we should for the WBTA as we will be on the cruise! I won`t be lining up to use the internet that`s for sure.
Well done to all for making this thread so friendly and welcoming - it is appreciated :goodvibes.

I just posted my profound sympathies on these tragedies. earlier today; I cared for my elderly father for a few years after my mom died so I totally understand how stressful things can become

Here is hoping that you and you DD have a wonderful, stress free cruise next week.

Just my thoughts.

I hadn't realised we had anyone from up there. The bus crash last week was so tragic, and the events of today just horrific. It must have been very scary while it was going on - it seemed like all of Cumbria was told to stay indoors.

Thankyou for that - shootings such as this are unheard of around here. Even though we were warned there was a killer on the loose Dad insisted I take him to his remote country home. Its such an incredible waste of life :sad2:

I tried to use the web site but they don't have our hotel listed and it wouldn't let me submit the address. Would you mind finding out about a taxi from the airport to the U232 hotel, Comte d’Urgell, 232 - 08036 - Barcelona? Thanks very much!

RE: Washers and Dryers

Not to be a downer but I have personally witnessed some awful screaming and fighting matches especially around the last couple of days. It is not unheard of to find washing machines and dryers filled with clothes that have been there for a long time. One time I came across a situation where security had already been called in. Yup - fights do happen so please, please, although this is a Disney ship, please set a reminder notice if you do go away. I have done both. I usually set my stopwatch to about 5-10 minutes before the ending time and go and babysit there. I have actually walked in when someone was emptying my dryer and the clothes weren't even 1/2 dry. :scared1: The party in question said that the dryer had already stopped but I showed her my stopwatch where it showed I had 4 minutes left. I was nice about it. And I've also done the opposite, if the clothes are dry and no one is around, I do fold the clothes since I am taking their clothes out. Not sure how they may feel about it - one time the lady was so happy - turns out she had a toddler that was acting up and needed to put her down so in that particular case it worked out. ONLY on Disney do I tend to look at the bright side of things......might be the ::MickeyMo spirit invading the ship though. Anyone else? I'm not trying to upset anyone but things have happened so just be careful. Especially on these long cruises, I have actually been there when another DIS'ser lost it and struck someone. Sad case but take us out of our comfort zone and we can react differently than the norm. So just be aware. We are on vacation......

Tortola wont be the same when we leave!!! :rotfl:

Yeah :scratchin somehow, I get the feeling people say that alot about me when I'm gone. :headache:
