:woohoo:And the winner is Sarah (TotallyAngelic). It was Grumpy.

This weeks question:

In what Disney animated feature is Earth referred to as "Section 17, Area 51"?

Jon

Angie erase you quote of me, sorry about that.

Ever had one of those days? You know, the kind where nothing goes right, and everyone but you gets the good news? Well, that has been my week... I think it started with the official announcement of my new job (which really is my old job, but I digress…) Then I kept reading how so many of you were getting a great additional OBC and had great plans for what to do where... And, then my new boss (who is a real JERK – ask Glenn he will agree) went on and on this morning about how awful a transatlantic cruise with KIDS would be... I love my kids (well, most of the time) and I was so looking forward to this - and this week has put quite a damper on it. So, I had totally lost the “count down to Barcelona” excited feeling.

Anyway, last night in a last ditch effort, I wrote to our TA with Dreams Unlimited and said I was on DIS, and you all were getting a fabulous OBC and could she please check and let me know... So imagine my SHOCK when I opened my email a moment ago...
"Hi Sue,
I checked with Disney Cruise Line and you are living right! Your reservation was one of the lucky few that have that $100 per person Mediterranean “Thank You” shipboard credit applied."
So, I am doing a happy dance. :dance3: Not to mention I now I need to get out of my funk, stop worrying about Becca not having fun, start thinking excursions and figure out how to pack for the 4 of us in 2 less bags than I had originally thought of bringing... Wait - we are getting a really big bus, right? Maybe I can bring one of those bags… :rotfl:

OK, back to Friday night, Mens Super G, Ice Dancing and some of the recorded Curling... (I love the Olympics!) :happytv:

Yeah for you, Sue . . . I'm calling tomorrow and asking, too :)

Hey girl,

I asked DH and he remember $!50 for the whole trip on last years EB REPO. I'm with you. I really used it a lot last trip and plan to do it again this time. It's worth every penny!!!

OO Thanks for reminding me about that! I had forgotten you can have the pass for the entire trip which id extra good value for 14 days! Guess where I will be going missing to most days.....:goodvibes

Candida is still in pain. Apparently the stone was 8mm in size and caused some internal damage which is taking it's time to heal.
Jon

Sorry to hear Candida still has pain ... hopefully it will settle down once the inflammation heals. Sending :hug::hug:

Hey Sarah- wish Taryn a happy birthday for me! Our Taryn had her birthday a month ago when she turned 10. In Ontario turning 19 means you can drink legally, so a significant birthday for most local kids!

Thanks for the birthday wishes. Here in the UK they can drink alcohol officially at 18, so 19 has very little significance. Taryn doesn't drink alcohol .... never has been interested and tried a couple of sips of things in the past year but never liked the taste. Did you know there is another Taryn cruising with us now :goodvibes

So how much is it for just a day ..... I probably would only use it on the sea days :confused3

ONLY 30 WEEKS TO GO !!!!!

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Now next week will be a really big milestone as we will be in the 20 -something zone, but unfortunately I will be in the alps and not able to post my countdown ..... hopefully someone else will do it next week :woohoo:

Jon
*mm, thats pretty big, some sunshine would help make her feel better!
I think Rylea has beagle in there!
I was just going to wear one of Candida's dresses to sneak in with the group. :lmao: I just can't decide on backless or not? :scared1: DrHug can join me :rotfl:

:lmao::lmao:
Good evening everyone! I'm sitting here with a hot chocolate and pouring over our yearly budget to the government. :teacher:

OK, not right now: right now I am lolligagging. :surfweb:

We had a nice family night with pizza and a movie. I had to make up for a big mistake with DH tonight for a mistake last year that snowballed into a pretty big, but fixable mess today. :rolleyes1

I wish I could just soak in a tub right now: the tub is still in our living room. DH is in the bathroom right now pulling nails and screws from the subfloor so that we can lay down more lumber. Maybe this time next week we will have a tub installed! I wish I was in the lovely tub we had in our cat 3 on the Wonder a few weeks ago. I could go for that!

You will have you tub soon enough!
"you make europe sound like a terrible placeIm sure Dr hugs camera would be just fine, mines has been for last (39-12) what is that,ha ha a lot!"

Lynne,
certainly didn't mean to make Europe (Barcelona really) sound like a terrible place. We have never been there! :confused3 We can only take precautions based on what others who have been there have told us. I would hate to have the strap cut and lose not only his camera (that we would have trouble replacing financially), but also the chip with our irreplaceable photos because we did not take a very inexpensive precaution. Just seems like a wise use of $20 to me. There are places in the US where one would want to take similar precautions. :sad2: Now my camera, except for the chip, would be not a big deal if lost. However, it also does not have a neck strap!
Yip, youre right, can never be too carefull, and I know what you mean,

glad you are sorted, mens super G was amazing, but I wanted bodi to win:confused:
Ya know - I would hate the expense of replacing the camera - but if we lost the pictures I would be devestated! This is a trip of a life time for us with the kids. I would hate for someone else to get those momentos! The camera strap sounds like a good investment. I certainly hope that it is totally unnecessary. I would like to think that nothing bad will happen to any of us, but better safe than sorry!
Of course better safe than sorry, I am sure anybody would be devestated to loose pics, I am far more likely to loose the camera than have it stolen!
Good morning TA cruisers ......

Morning,morning.not long to go!

Behind as always, I see everyone has posted stories! :surfweb:

Me (53) and my DH (Bob or Rob depending on the mood, 52) and I will have been married 17 years next month. Second marriage for both us. I have a DS, Carl...who is a Police Officer, and 30 this year. Bob has a DD and a DS, and they have 3 children each.

I am a Matron for Oncology Services, and Bob is a HGV driver by day, and a part time DJ some nights.

How did we meet? I was working as a Community Macmillan Palliative Care Specialist Nurse, and Bob was caring for his Dad, who was terminally ill with Lung Cancer. I was their designated nurse. After his father died, he asked me out....but I refused because it didnt feel ethically correct. He didnt give up though, and contacted me a few times over next few months. Eventually I had another patient in same street, and we accidentally bumpoed into each so to speak. And the rest is the history. We were married approx 2 years later, and had a fantastic honeymoon in India, which was the start of a fanatical travel bug.

We took all 3 children, then teenagers to WDW in 1996, and got hooked. Snuck back a year or 2 later to experience WDW for adults, and that was it. Our Love Affair with The Mouse. The DCL was a logical step, after working our way through all things Disney, and on our first cruise we met Jon (Pilk) and Candida....and a friendship was born.

Looking forward to meeting more lovely people on this cruise.:dance3:

Hi
Am a little behind to say the least on the OBC discussion...but I admit I am confused. We booked on board...and were told we get $100 PP...which we have had confirm of. So thats safe. Confirmed by post. And we have transferred resi to Dreams Unlimited...keep the $100pp ..and add another $50.....??? Are bookings different?
Lyn x

Basically Disney accidentally sent out letters to some of us WBTA people regarding an additional $100 per person OBC. This was offered to people who booked during the first year of bookings I think looking at the time line. The letters were meant to be for Med and Baltic cruisers but accidentally they sent them to any cruisers leaving Barcelona or Dover who qualified in their date range. This means that if you got a letter it was $100 OBC per person on top of any other OBC that they had.

What a beautiful hotel! Looks fab!

Connie, have you been to the hotel? Mum and dad stayed at the j...beach and they got to go for a look around, they lied and said they were thinking about staying and got the grand tour.
I was more interested in the horse racing stables tour they done:goodvibes that was definatly 7 star! its incredible.

Please help, can't get to the Rollcall site on the website.:confused3

Walt :cool1:

There's been problems with the website which I know that our web guru is trying to get the hosting company to sort out. Im assuming its still not up yet but should be as soon as possible - the server was moved to a different one or something and its incompatible with the website so it needs to be moved back.

I am soooooo rapt. I never expected it to come all the way Down Under.

Wat dew ewe men ewe kant spel? It reeds the same. :lmao:

Sorry, couldn't resist. I butcher words all the time. Spell checker is wonderful. ;)
When you see how kids text you wonder how civilization's language skills are going to be in a few years.

Jon

LOL My trouble is I forget to use Spell checker! Its a common joke in our office as we use Lotus Notes so you have to remember to go in and select Spell Check. I always have at least 20 mistakes a document lol
