I got a letter a week or two ago. But just assumed it meant the on board credit we got because we booked another cruise whilst on board the last one. Now I am confused. :confused3 Does this mean this is additional to the orginal OBB we got?
Lyn

Its additional yes. Keep the letter though if you still have it just incase but should be new amount.

Some cars we like to buy.:woohoo:

Sorry this ones mine lol! Loving the pics it looks fantastic!

All this talk about OBC made me call and ask DCL. And we have $100 each!!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

I have to work on getting ready for my trip to WDW in 11 days! By that time our countdown will begin with a 1!!!!!

I can't wait. I love reading all the intros.:love:

Have a great weekend WBTA!

You too steffy! Very jealous about you WDW trip

Just spoke to DVC the person i spoke to contacted DCL if you paid cash within a certain time period you get the OBC. DVC memeber DO NOT get this benefit. If i wanted to convert it back to cash i would be elgible. Well that's not going to happen so i guess i just get to pout about it and move on.

Amanda, I just got off the phone with both DCL and DVC as well. DCL said it was a DVC issue, if we get the credit or not because DVC holds the contract. I then spoke to DVC who said it was a DCL issue. He then went on to explain that they do have a contract with DCL and there is never any OBC's within that contract because they have a negotiated "best" rate. He also said if anyone who has booked on points got a letter saying they have a OBC, that if one DVC member gets it they all get it. He said forward the letter on and all points booking members will get the credit. So, I am wondering if anyone who has booked on points has recieved a letter about OBC's.

Candida is still in pain. Apparently the stone was 8mm in size and caused some internal damage which is taking it's time to heal. Thanks for asking. Rylea didn't get fazed with her over medication incident either. She is getting into just as much trouble. :goodvibes

Jon

I'm sorry to hear about the pain. I hope she feels better soon.

I would love to know this also. I'm hoping someone got one and then we will all get it but i wont hold my breath.:headache:

I just got off the phone with DCL and we did not get the additional OBC. I spoke to a supervisor abot the inequity of some getting and others not and was told they are working on the glitch and the result will probably be those that received it in error will not receive it.(Just what he thought was being done) We are cruising regardless, but inequities need to be corrected.

So who did he say got it in error? Is there a booking date cut off?

I guess I need to be clearer. Ours is not an additional OBC, it is the OBC we got when we first booked. I just wanted to be sure it was still there after we rebooked on the Wonder. I didn't get a letter either.

Did you find out what the parameters were for getting the additional OBC? Since I didn't get one or a letter I didn't find that out.

We booked on points and did not get a letter. Let's cross our fingers that someone booked on points received a letter!

Just saw this on the news... so sad. Thought I would pass it on.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8526288.stm

That is very sad. Is the EB TA going there? If so, I wonder if they will need to change the port? I know when on the Double Dip in Sept/Oct of 2008, we we were changed from one port in Mexico to Grand Cayman because of a hurricane. I can't remember the Mexican port right now...darn it! It'll come to me eventually.

I thought I would give them a call myself today. No OBC for us either. :sad2:

Good morning TA cruisers ......

ONLY 30 WEEKS TO GO !!!!!

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Now next week will be a really big milestone as we will be in the 20 -something zone, but unfortunately I will be in the alps and not able to post my countdown ..... hopefully someone else will do it next week :woohoo:

Yay!!! Into the 20's soon! It still feels so far away.....Hurry up world, turn faster!

Erm, well you did ask...........;)

We're going on the Magic today!!!! 7 nights doing nothing at sea.:banana::banana:

I guess we will be too far away to see the Endeavour. They have also moved the shuttle launch we could have seen mid March until april and we will be home then!!!!!

I'm actually turning green I'm so jealous! Have a wonderful time!

The photo's of Dubai look amazing, Added to our bucket list!

And this whole OBC thing is out of control! Why won't they just say - This is what you need to qualify, and if you tick all the boxes you get it, if you don't , you don't! I wonder if it is whoever paid in full by a cut off date? We got it, and we paid in full on Oct 20 2009? So frustrating!:headache:

Also, I know I read we will have our FE groups given to us by a certain date, I just can't remeber when, and to go back through our threads would take days, OK probably weeks! Does anyone remember?

DCL decided to give OBC of $100 per person for the Med and Baltic cruises that were booked prior to November 2009. They did this just before they lowered the prices because of poor bookings so that when the new prices came out people wouldn't cancel and rebook. The computer was told to identify those cruisers booked prior to Nov 2009 with departures from Dover or Barcelona. They had not paid attention to the fact that the WBTA also departs from Barcelona. Several letters went out to some of the WBTA bookings until someone noticed, then they they stopped. Those people on the WBTA who were lucky enough to get the letter will get the OBC, those who didn't receive a letter - too bad!

It was Costa Maya. We were supposed to be the very first cruise ship back to that port after the destruction suffered from a hurricane about two years before. They had rebuilt but since Disney had not had the opportunity to visit and set up excursions in time, they canceled that port for our cruise (plus the ones scheduled in October and november) and substituted grand cayman. Still had a great time!!

Oh I see! Thanks so much for the clarification. We booked in December 2008. And got the Castaway Cay Club discount. And then rebooked on the Wonder and got the onboard discount. I was going to use my DVC points, but we had to pay the entire remaining cash price that day. So we are both on cash! :cool1: And I'm using my points to take my DGS to Disney in two weeks. :goodvibes

Hi and welcome Trudy. I'm Marilyn and I will be 62 by the time this cruise comes along. There will be a little get together for us 'Old Geezers' on the cruise at Cove Cafe one or more evenings, so hopefully you will get along there and we can meet up. I think there are a few of us Old Geezers cruising.:dance3:

I think there are a couple of children called Taryn on this cruise. It isn't a name I have heard before.

Hi Marilyn, I am looking forward to the "Old Geezers'" Hour. I love being with the kids but meeting new people my age will be great. Every time I sign into this site and see the days left until the cruise I am surprised how fast the time is going. When I first made the reservation it seemed so far off. I am really looking forward to it. My daughter has suggested I do the "back to back" Mediterranean cruise as well. What a trip of a life time that would be! Hope to talk to you again soon. Trudy:chat:
