Amanda and I bought into DVC in 2002. I agree with the statement of wishing had bought sooner and more points. We are using our points for this cruise and for Alaskan Disney Cruise in 2011.

The UK has some yummy strawberry bon bon ball things, they are covered in a sherbet kind of sugary coating, so good! We have a hard time finding them here! And the USA has those fruit things in the box, is it juju fruits, yum! I'd be in for both, either way! ;)

We are staying here, will be brand new and clean, and is pretty good price -

Littledisneylovers - We'll bring you some bon bons:banana: have you tried vanilla and lemon?

I stay at Novotels all over the Uk as a travel with my job, and a new one should be fabulous, in my experience they are always clean and good value:yay:

I have tried the lemon and vanilla, I like the strawberry the best, they are the yummiest little balls ever, Lucky I can't get them here, I'd be the size of a small bus! We are going to bring Caramello Koala's and Tim Tams. Is there anything else that people love from Australia?:goodvibes
We are Accor Advantage Plus members in Australia, we use them everywhere we can. They are very consistent in their cleanliness and standards. I'm sure we'll be happy at the new hotel.;)

Paula we're in for the chocolate exchange and if you need another prize for the FE comp Mum will provide one. Does it have to be Disney or can it be anything?

Thanks Sarah & Elizabeth

Got you for the chocolate exchange but I'm not organising the FE comp... just ground transport at Barcelona and candy exchange :-)

:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

We have just made a decision (finally) and booked one night at Port Orleans French Quarter for our one night in Orlando after the cruise. This will be our first time staying on property at WDW and we are so excited.

:dance3::dance3::dance3:

Don't do it! You'll never want to stay offsite again (speaking from experience!). We were an offsite family and then got a super cheap rate at All Stars after 9/11. Next visit we bought into DVC...

I know Saratoga Springs gets a bad rap sometimes, but we really enjoy it there. Very relaxing and just a short walk to DTD. For longer stays where you aren't running to parks everyday it really is great. Quiet, peaceful.

And the Grand Californian is really nice!! Loved it in the villas much more than in the hotel.

We own at SSR, it was the only place selling when we bought in (before it was built). We stayed there for the first time in 2008 and loved it. Very nice and peaceful and a beautiful resort.

Maybe if it's done like a FE, each person in the cabin that wants to participate should sign up, therefore recieving a choc each, and all giving choc too, does that make sense? The we can break into groups of 25 people, or whatever?

I'm thinking this might be easiest and then I can break the group into chocolate only or candy or any type...

Michele and I are DVC members. I'd be happy to share the pluses (lots) and minuses (some).

Ditto... ask away!

We too have always been very leary of timeshares. We won't even go to TS presentations......But....Like many DVC folks we will tell you that our ONLY regret is not buying sooner and not being able to afford even more points!!

<edited out>

Beware though, once you get us started talking about DVC you will have a hard time shutting us up!! :laughing:

Good grief, I could have written the above. Love DVC - costs us a fortune in airfares though! :rotfl:

Were you in SF this past week? It was beautiful - yesterday was crazy warm in the city. Love the pics, now and then I forget to enjoy the city I live in.

San Francisco lookd beautiful .... it is definitely on my "to do" list.

Noel - I have really enjoyed looking at all your photos ... particularly the food ones. :rotfl:

Tim Tams....OMG. You're gonna make my DH a happy man. He loves them especially when he uses them as chocolate drinking straws:rotfl2::thumbsup2

I saw my name on the first list, but I don't see it on here. I definately want in an the candy swap!

Thanks! :love:

If someone is still interested in getting a $25 certificate (minimum order of $35 to use it at the restaurant) for $3 and is out of the country, I'd be more than happy to order one and just hand it over when we meet in Barcelona. The current promotion to get the $3 coupon is over on the 22nd so drop me a note and I'll be happy to take care of it!

It's probably best to send a PM as I'm working on a transcript today and not checking in on the boards very frequently.

Michael

P.S. It does say that the coupon is NOT good for the Gospel Brunch just in case anyone was hoping to use it for that!

Yes!! Thank you for sharing! :)

Krista

Thank you everyone for allowing me to overwhelm you with some of my trip pics. I have picked up the habit of taking WAY too many pics from my DH. You can just imagine how many pics we will take on this journey. While we were on a European vacation, he was downloading over 100 pictures a day to his computer!!

Ok this sounds cool - where do I find the info on it and how do we sign up! I finally "registered" us on the website and put down to be on the FE and secret Mickey. All 4 of us would like to do the candy bar exchange but maybe if there are multiple groups can we be split up?

We do not officially have a room assignment but will be in a cat. 9 as we are not booking until we are onboard the EBTA in a few weeks BUT we do have our airfare back to Barcelona already - so we are ready! I am at the hospital with my son who got a spider bite (but he is going to be fine - we will go home in about an hour or so) but I had time on my hands so I was getting somethings in order for joining this cruise and adding the logo to my sig. I am looking forward to this cruise too!

Glad you are all signed up! Hope that your son is ok - how old are your kids? We have a 13YO DS (turned 13 today) and a 6YO DD.

Have a great time on the EB!
