Welcome aboard.

No issues with use of the English language. It reads better then some of my posts and English is my only language. I still have a hard time with it:rotfl:

WELCOME MARION and family:goodvibes

Nice to have you coming along.
Be sure and check out the first page of this thread. There is lots of great information there about FE exchange, Secret Mickey gift exchange and much more you'll want to know.

Dont worry about your english. It sounds great to me:thumbsup2

Hi all! Just poppin in to answer this weeks questions...

My favorite part of the ship is on Deck 4. I love laying in the big chairs with a magazine or book. It's usually pretty quite there.

I've worked for a local city government for the past 10 years now. I handle billing exceptions and adjustments for electric and water mostly. We also own a small Italian pizza place that Gus runs with his brother. It's about 30 minutes from us and I don't go there often so no real risk of eating to much yummy food! :rotfl:

I'm getting stressed since we still don't have airfare or hotel booked yet!! Is there anyone else still in our boat? Do you think we'll miss all the good deals?

We will be heading over to Washington State this afternoon for Thanksgiving with family. I think there will be around 30 this year. Both of our daughters from Oregon are coming as well as lots of nieces and nephews and their families from Washington. I have many dozen dinner rolls in various stages of rising, baking and cooling. Yummer! I have been baking all of our bread (no bread machine) for the last several weeks :goodvibes and am getting good enough at it that I volunteered to bring the rolls. :thumbsup2 I have a friend that gave me TONS of flour :worship: so I have made good use of it.
Isn't this the first year you guys have not hosted the family gathering? Since you are probably gone, I will just wish you both a
Happy Thanksgiving!!

Nice to meet you Marion. Your English seems just fine to me.

What part of Germany is your family from? I have family who are living in Frankfort but my mother's family on her mothers side originally came from Marggrabowa, Prussia (now Poland) in 1880. DH's father's family is originally from Erlangen and Nuremburg and immigrated in the 1860's.

We are still without air and hotel. We spoke to the TA today. She recommended holding off until 8 to 9 months from the desired flight date. She said rates are usually cheaper then. I decided to play with dates and sure enough rates where like the tower of terror. From now to the 8 - 9 month range rates were up:scared1:, then for a couple months they dropped, then at about the 10 to 11 month range went back up a bit. I think we are going to roll the dice and try in the Jan/Feb range.

I love spending time on Deck 9... There is always so much activity up there, that and the fresh air and sunshine!! :)

I work for the State of Minnesota. DH is a software engineer.

Airfares are crazy the way they jump up and down.

Willkommen Marion und Ihre Familie,

Welche Stadt kommen Sie aus? Es tut Mir leid - Ich schriebe nicht gut Deutsch!

I was a couple of days ago, now I have a hotel, Holiday Inn Express, but no airfare yet. :sad2:

As DW and I couldn't find an excursion in Madeira that did exactly what we wanted to do, we've ended up booking a tour with a local taxi company (www.danielmadeirataxis.com) It works out cheaper and seems to have the flexibility to alter tour routes to suit personal preferences.

I have book marked this, what size cab are you taking? They have three 4 person, 1 6 person and can arrange for larger size transportation options.

Because we deceided to take a Disney cruise for my big birthday, we used our airfare money for that :) So, we haven't booked our air or hotel yet but will after the 1st of the year.

Well, glad to know I'm not the only one! I have faith that there's still deals to be had out there! Can't wait until after the 1st of the year so I can finally book everything and stop stressing about it!

Hi everyone! I haven't been around for a few weeks - it's been crazy between my grandfather's death and moving, I don't know where the time went! As for the questions...

1) I would have to say Deck 4 - love those chairs!

2) Well, right now I'm technically unemployed from my full time job. I do work part time at the Disney Store so that money helps feed the addiction. Plus I also do surveys with ***************.com to earn Disney gift cards to use towards our on board credit.

Hope all is well with everyone! :)

2 words ......;)AIR CON

Good point - doesn't bear thinking about :rotfl::rotfl:

They have nice comfy chairs outside. The staff there are awesome. They have the nice little goodies in the cooler inside and also (not a large selection) books that you can check out for when I have finished the ones I brought. They make a delicious banana cream martini (it may not be on the menu anymore--but they will make it for you). Make sure you get their Cove coffee card buy 5 get one free---it's good for their alcohol coffees too.

Oooooh sounds lovely - I have never visited Cove Cafe but definitely on my must do list for the TA !!!

I am so ready to go back and cruise again!!! But first i need to do my scrapbook for this months cruise and last novembers cruise. Somehow it never got done and i just ran across all the items i saved from the 08 cruise, so I better get that done soon or I will have 3 cruises to put albums together  Thats too many at once to do.

Hope all of you who are in the U.S. are preparing for a nice Thanksgiving day with family and friends. Greg has 4 days off, so that will be nice.

I still haven't started my scrapbook for my October 2008 cruise. It's the starting that's the difficult bit! I also still need to finish my Trip Report - but something else always gets in the way !!
