I am seeing Aer Lingus as the most reasonable one-way option. Right now the JFK to BCN flight is only booking up to March 27, 2010. I have been checking weekly, ok daily, for when they will open up further. March 25 (a Thursday) is showing up as just about $500 after all taxes. I have been looking at buying a round trip ticket and they have been around $630 and up.

WOHOWHOWHOWHOWHOWH!

It seems like forever since we booked this cruise! Guess its officially been a year now right?

Not quite a year for us - this time last year we were in Orlando, about to start our first Disney cruise on 25th October 2008 - we were home about 2 weeks and I was overcome by an unyielding urge to book another cruise .... and we got it even cheaper than if we had booked on board - so I was really chuffed. Time does seem to be passing a bit more quickly at the moment though.

We have just booked a skiing weekend with friends in February so now we have something else to look forward to :yay: - not that "look forward" might be the right words to use. I haven't skiied for almost 30 years and last time DH skiied he went into a tree! The family we are going with are seasoned skiers too - so at least we will provide the entertainment.:rotfl:
My kids have bottled out of the ski trip and will stay home - they obviously have more sense than we do!

LOL you're braver than me! Only ever done a dry ski slope and hated it!

I am not a big downhill skier, as I prefer cross county. However, all the rest of my family loves to downhill. Some do regular skiing and some snowboard. We have been skiing at Squaw Valley since my kids were toddlers.

My SIL is from Carbondale, Colorado (not far from Aspen). originally so he prefers Colorado powder.

My BIL's family is from Utah so they prefer Deer Valley or Park City. I just like to go and stay at the spa at Sundance.

I really don't understand the Aer Lingus site! I could almost book the Houston to Dublin portion (330 days in advance), but I could not book Houston to BCN or the JFK to BCN on one ticket.

You CAN book IAH to DUB or JFK to DUB now. (JFK to DUB was about $407 one way)

You CAN book the DUB to BCN with the same 330 days in advance for about66 euros one way. They have the two flights a day to BCN. One 6 am-ish and 6 pm-ish.

But when I tried to get prices for the entire JFK-BCN run, I got this weird note:

Flights do not operate on your selected travel date/s. Aer Lingus operates from Apr 14 2007 - Mar 27 2010 on days Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat Sun

I wasn't sure if they were weren't going to offer the flight to BCN after 3/27 or what. I was-- and still am--very confused. :confused3 Maybe the layover of many hours was too long to be considered one ticketed flight?

I liked Air Lingus as you could book a reasonably priced one way ticket.

I am afraid of buying a round trip and throwing away half as I know it is technically against the rules of carriage for some airlines and with my luck I would be the one that they would choose to make an example of!!!

I've looked at Vayama and Cheapoair and they have some really good deals. I just wish I knew how reliable they are. :headache:

I JUST GOT A LITTLE PIXIE DUST!

OK, I was booked in a cat 10 because the 11s were sold out by the time I booked this cruise. I'm probably sailing solo, so the double bath is totally meaningless to me. Last night I saw the cat 11 open, but by the time TA read e-mail this morning it was gone. She told me that if I saw it again, to go ahead and do a second booking...she and DCL could reconcile them after the fact...and meanwhile, she'd continue to track it for me.

I am so totally obsessed. I looked 3 times today. It just popped up!!! I called TA who got DCL on the phone immediately and I knocked $325 off my price. That's for 2 people, (I'm currently booked as myself and "to be determined), but it's still a good deal for 1. SO...I have my cat 11 with my onboard rebooking discount and OBC...and OBC from TA....and I'm bringing home the MAGIC!

Our 330 day window opens late this week ...I'm going over a couple days early. I've had the same issues as above with Aer Lingus searches. I'll let you know if I find anything really good.

Kathy, I am going to write Aer Lingus and find out what might be happening with the BCN legs.

I called and the call centre could book September 16th, the date I am looking at $538 USD all taxes. That was the 5 pm flight out of JFK, arriving in BCN at 10:10 am, next day.

Ok, very odd. When I go to 09-15-10 as my on-line search for 09-16-10 indicated to, the date moved back to March 27th again.

Alot of flights have been released today. I was able to book a one way from Detroit to Barcelon via Amsterdam through Flycheapabroad . com....For........:wizard::banana::banana::cool1::cool1: $590 pp, including insurance.

Thank you so much for posting this website! We too are flying out of Detroit and trying to find the least expensive way to do it. Have you booked them before and if so, how was it? Any issues?

Beautiful wedding photos. They look absolutely happy and I can just imagine their faces when they saw each other in the church. I still remember my son's face when he saw his bride in August, it was priceless.
