Still not 100% sure we're doing this one yet but may book and then see what happens when Dream is released. A 5 night dream might be a bit easier for us to sort out with flights etc.

Going on holiday is not stressful. Everybody around you playing up just before you go is ;)

Well, after the first disappointment about not being able to do the Panama Canal Cruise, this has actually worked out for the better for us I think. The timing of this would have been far from ideal even though we could have made it work. There are always other chances maybe with another cruise line. I just checked prices on NCL for next year and we could do a Panama Canal Cruise on the sister ship of the one we were on in May for less than GBP800 per person, same length, similar itinerary, but out of Miami.

DH made a very wise remark in the early morning hours. He told me that he just loves cruising and being on a ship and is not that worried about where we are going. I have to admit that I feel the same. After all, on our last cruise (in May), we never really got off the ship.

So once the 2011 cruise are bookable online and I can see the prices and dates for the Caribbean cruises, the planning can start in earnest. I can't believe that I finally get to plan my vow renewal, which has been postponed three times already. I think I have even already chosen the dress:

Both my evening gowns are from the same company and they are gorgeous and a perfect fit.

Lovely dress

Well I have DU trying to look at sorting out the LA repo at the moment and its driving me mad. We need 2 different rooms at 2 different levels which is the issue but they are being great about it! Still also working out logistics as wasn't planning on going for this one yesterday.

How much has the PC gone up by?
from 4129, to 4500.

Len and i went last year to gretna green to redo our vows, It was really lovely.

My friend got married in Gretna and it looked fantastic.

Can't believe the cruise price has gone up that much in a day!

I am a bit upset actually as I was going to post a picture and I dont have them on my comp!!! must never have been downloaded.not good.

Next week, when the bookings open for us silvers, when would that be??
1 pm? you could log on? Scottish time, :laughing:cause there is a time diff between scotland and england:cutie:

Looks like we will be sticking with this TA cruise in the end - the practicalities of doing the LA - Vancouver followed by Alaska are more complicated than originally thought - for a start it would involve 2 one-way flights (and longer ones at that) and sorting out one is enough of a headache. Then there is the climate - basically we would be packing for 2 climates - LA and Alaska would be very different and Alaska would require outdoor clothing etc etc which would bump up the packing needs. While I would love to visit San francisco and LA I imagine they would warrant a longer visit than just a day, so maybe back to our original plan to do a road trip one day. Alaska would be done purely for the scenery and we wouldn't need to pay DCL prices to do that - so we are sticking with the WBTA !! Besides I would go crazy if I had to wait another 6 months for the cruise !

I think you will have no trouble getting on this cruise next week. I was able to get main dining when I finally got thru around 10 am. I booked an 11C (old 12) GTY. As long as we are on the ship,:thumbsup2 where we sleep does not matter. :) Right at $2600 for the two adults.

We will be excited to sail with you again!!!!! :woohoo::dance3:

Angie, there was still early dining available around 12:30 today along with 2 SPHs after we snagged one. ;)

The Southwest is a wonderful trip, but don't forget about us here in the Northwest! Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park are wonderful sights to see also along with the Oregon Coast it would make a great, great trip. And of course the Morkerts:yay: live very near Glacier so a DIS meet would be in order also!! :dance3::hug:

It's about time we get to come out and see you, Angie!!! :thumbsup2

We are not jumping ship on this one and we booked the 6/28 Alaska yesterday for us, my mother, my three adult children and their significant others. It is a lilltle expensive, but we have all wanted to do Alaska and were waiting for Disney. Everyone is excited about the cruise and 2 of the people have never cruised before. They have realized if they are going to be involved with our children, they better get used to doing Disney vacations.

I hope everyone gets what they want on September 28th and not too many people leave this cruise.

Sounds like a plan, we loved our trip to san fran etc. That is why I put it out my mind, the flights are just too much hassle.

If you can afford it and want to do it, then good for you, it will be amazing.:goodvibes

I know what you mean - I feel better now I have made a definite decision - I think the Disney experience on the TA will be something to behold with all the activities laid on for the sea days etc - the cruise itself will be the experience. On the other cruise it would be all about the ports for me, and Alaska it would be all about the scenery - I also spent 3 months cruising Alaska back in 1989 when I worked for Princess, so I have seen a lot of it (well what you get to see as crew - the nearest bar!) and it would be nice to go back with DH but I don't want to give up this TA cruise to do that - I could cruise with another line last minute and pay half the price.

Oh no - I do waffle when doing all this mental debating - ENOUGH! Decision made - you're stuck with me on the TA cruise :woohoo:

:yay::dance3: Yay!! You are cruising with us!! :woohoo:

It seems that since there were so many cruises to choose from, they are not filling up like others we have tried to get on. Maybe the PC cruise is going faster. :confused3
It's about time we get to come out and see you, Angie!!! :thumbsup2

So....are you going to take a few extra days and swing over our way? :flower3::yay::woohoo: We are just a long days drive from Vancouver. :flower3: Maybe, maybe!!! You could take the kids to Glacier National Park then over to Yellowstone then fly home from Denver or somewhere. Take a couple of weeks!! Yes! Do it, Lisa, do it!!

Dont worry, you should have heard the conversation going on with myself in my head when I was swimming for an hour this am, your not the only one!

I really really really want to do both cruises - but I more than likely will have to take DS to WDW at some point too so the finances won't stretch to 2 DCL cruises and 1 WDW trip in less than 12 months - if only we lived in US and din't have to worry about long expensive flights!

Were trying to fit in 3 weeks with this one and cover WDW in the extra week.

Us too. :goodvibes I'm not travelling all that way to be soooo close to WDW without visiting the MK!

You could always buy an "open jaw" ticket - flying into one airport and out of another. ;) That's what we did last year for the WBPC Repo and it worked out so much cheaper than buying 2 x one way tix. :thumbsup2

Hey Everyone,

I know I never post here hardly anymore. Life is crazy....I promise you'll hear more from me and Jason as this cruise gets closer. We have a trip to WDW in Nov/Dec (w/ Hadley and her family) to get out of our way and then our focus can move to Sept. 2010 and our B2B cruises! :thumbsup2 Although I have not been posting, I promise I have been a religious lurker/reader.

However, I decided to crawl out of my hole and post today as I saw folks posting their 2011 plans. Jason and I booked our 2011 trips today. We're doing the Northbound repo from LA to Vancouver in late April and then staying aboard to do a B2B with the first Alaskan cruise on May 3rd. We got a Cat 7 (or, as they're called now, "Cat 7A":rotfl2:) and got room 7622 for both trips which is awesome. We got an AMAZING deal (in my opinion) on the LA to Vancouver trip and even the Alaskan, while twice as expensive, was reasonable I thought. We're doing the entire 14-day B2B for less than $6000!! (which, compared to the VERY hefty price tag we're paying for the last Med 10-night and the WBTA in 2010, feels like nothing!)

I guess now I have to start searching for meet threads fro those 2011 cruises, huh? :rotfl:

Erik - it's great to hear from you again!!!! :cool1: Have a wonderful time on your WDW trip and do say hello to Hadley (she hasn't posted here much recently but I have seen her posting about).

Love the dress!!!! :thumbsup2

I am glad that you are still sailing with us.

Glad you decided to stick with us. This cruise is all about the MAGIC...and the wide open sea. I also really look forward to 3 days on Barcelona.

FYI.....if anyone is even remotely interested in Le Meridien, you should reserve a room NOW. There was a posting on the main cruise board...and it may fill up. Of course, with all the peeps leaving, it may not.:thumbsup2
