Thank you all for such great information an great fun.

Welcome!!! :woohoo:

I am a first time poster to this forum and still have a lot to learn. I am cruising on the WB TA cruise on 9/18/10. I already have a reservation and have paid my deposit, but I didn't tell Disney that a member of my travel group is active duty military. I called back to tell them and they said that they are not offering military discounts for this cruise, at least not yet.

Any tips? Should I just keep checking? I was told that even though I already made my reservation, i could still get the discount if it is offered later. The discount is pretty substantial so I am really eager to learn how to increase my odds of getting the discount. Thanks.

Yes, you will can get any discount you are eligible for when it opens, even if you are already booked. Just keep checking. The DIS is a great place to get this kind of info. :surfweb: Folks post on here when any discount arises.

And WELCOME!!!! :dance3:

My condolences to you and your family.

My Grandmother's funeral is today. Things have been very hectic with the arrangements and legal things we have had to handle. She lived a long life ans died on my birthday at 95 years old. Yesterday when I was writing the eulogy, so many wonderful memories were coming to mind and I realized that if I had so many wonderful memories there had to be many more people with their own memories and what a wonderful woman she was. I did not realize the true scope of the the woman until she passed away and I sat down to write the eulogy.

Donna

Donna I hope it all goes OK.

Keep checking definately. You can still get the dicount later and if youve past the paid in full date they usually give you it as OBC. Usually offers like this come out about 90 days in advance I believe.

Sarah/Angie - thanks so much for the info on military discounts, this forum rocks! That would be a really big OBC. I would be hanging out in the spa and drinking it up, if that happened. Need to try that bahama mama for sure.

I have ANOTHER question. I have cruised once before and like PALO quite a bit. Since we will be on a 14 night cruise, how many times will i be able to reserve a "high tea" and/or dinner at palo? I think on a 7 night cruise, you can only reserve 1 tea and 1 dinner - is it more on a TA cruise? Thanks.

Once still. But, after we set sail you can check and see if there are still openings for a second visit. They will give everyone a chance first and then fill the restaurant with others.

Looks like they released some more cheap seats on USAirways.

They have Thursday nonstop available for $436 Philly to BCN.

They also have a weird set up that sometimes the one way pricing will still have a return flight date. Just make sure you selected one way and put the date you want into both boxes. It will sort itself out in the end. Took me a while to figure that out!;)

THANKS!!!! :thumbsup2 Grabbed airline direct out of Phila to BCN on the 16th. It's getting real now!!!!

Booked air, booked hotel, booked cruise! Okay - the only thing PIF is the air so far but that's cool. Now just need to worry about flight home from MCO but SW doesn't release their next round of availabilty until sometime in March.

Jon--I am so sorry about the loss of your stepdad:hug: I am also very impressed with your ability to keep laughter in your life throughout the trying times.

Donna--I am sorry for your loss as well:hug: It sounds like she was a wonderful lady who enriched many lives.

Kimberly--It is good to see you posting. I just came back myself. I had not known about your grandmother. I know how thrilled you were to bring her on the Double Dip and she always seemed so happy there every time I saw you. The gift of your time which you gave her then and have given her even more of these past few months is the most loving thing I can think of. What a wonderful granddaughter you are:goodvibes I will send so mant positive thoguhts your way--I really DO hope you will be gainfully emplyed and cruising with us.

Kathy--I will keep your mom in my thoughts as well.

Those buses still haunt me. Sure wish I was at the DL Hotel with the Captain instead of being thrown (not by choice) in charge of the Ho Jo buses.

Our driver got lost and didn't know the way to the port. We got to see a side of LA that most tourists never would - very seedy :rotfl2:

An update regarding a triple room at Praktik Rambla - no problem for 3 adults in a room, if the 3rd in the room is under 12, they don't charge for them. Unfortunately I don't think my 65 year old mother will pass as a tween ;)

Hey ERIK!! I hope you all have as much of a successful season as you did last year...and more! :cheer2: :cheer2: You have so much to be proud about!

Hey Kimberly---welcome back and sorry to hear about your grandmother's health problems but glad she's on the mend....good luck with the job hunt!

Today was our first competition this season (for Varsity)....and, although we didn't hit our routine 100% perfectly (although I, admittedly, am a bit of a perfectionist and probably have standards that are a bit high :lmao:), I am very proud of how our girls performed.....and even prouder to say that were now officially:

:cheer2::cheer2:MONROE COUNTY DIVISION 1 CHAMPIONS:cheer2::cheer2:

Good evening to all that will travel West. I am looking for a large printable logo that I can place by my office door of the logo that is with my signature. 8x11.
When I enlarge it gets blurry

Aye ..... You know when sailing with the Captain me sails be full and me keeps me schedule true ....even with the sweat of my brow and the strength in my back(and the help of me crew mates) we managed the mountain of luggage ...:lmao::lmao:
pirate:

I remember the fun I had of getting on that already loaded bus with my broken foot. If my parents would have made it to the cruise I am still not sure where they and their luggage would have went.;):upsidedow

How large of a logo do you want? Have you taken a look at what is on the website? www.transatlanticpirates.com

If you don't find something there, my DH (Buckeye Goofy) may have something larger...

Thank you to everyone for their well wishes, thoughts, and prayers over the past week. My DW called this afternoon to tell me that Monty (step dad) had just passed away.

I won't be around much for the next week or so. Flying to Winnipeg, Manitoba then driving to North Dakota. I hope everyone has a good weekend and week to come.

Just have to say that I am both thankful and proud of my DW for spending the time to stay with my mom and help with Monty during his last days.

Now to hopefully convert some of the sadness into cheer.
