NO they certainly dont,been a few times before, yes I am skiing,Len is sledging,it is the world cup when we are there,ding,ding,ding,ding

By the was re globespan,nothing as yet, Len just brought in an article from his work that he cut out the paper,,seems if you were stupid enough(me!) to pay by switch if there is any money after the company is wound up you can make a claim(barcelona flights) The article says in this case it is very unlikely,seems though thats lots of folks paid by switch to avoid the cost of paying bu credit card.insurers that cover airlines going bust.

Oh yes definately kids meals! If theyd let me order one on Virgin I would! Jam sandwiches and cheddars for snacky meal instead of that awful mayonnaisey sandwich the adults have!

How about an easy one. When you aren't at work to pay for Disney related activities, surfing the internet for Disney related sites, thinking about Disney, looking at your food and comparing it to DCL food, what do you do? In, short what do people do for non disney related hobbies?

For me it would be Scuba diving. Bring on the ice, time for some cold water dives.

I make jewellery, love to read, play chess and started to go to the gym about a month ago which I really enjoy to my immense surprise.

Ok, youve just got the job for for group photo orginizing

I am a fitness junkie,its kinda an addiction, its good cause I can fit my dogs and horses into it! I run,swim,cycle,pilates,spinning....anything.
I used to be seriously over weight, which is fine, who cares but but my BP was so high at times the machine would not take it, one day I woke up and thought, thats it,Im wasting my life away,so I changed and swapped a lot of habbits of a life time and lost 8 stone, so now I reckon I swapped food for fitness, and I just go with it cause I would hate to be back like that not enjoying life and a stroke waiting to happen.

This sounds so familiar, just that I am just at the beginning stages. I lost one stone so far, but already my blood pressure is down to the normal range and I feel so much better. My target is to lose 6 stone, but 8 would be better. For our flight to Dubai I bought a new outfit and that was a size smaller than what I would normally wear. A wonderful feeling! Of course now I have to buy new formal dresses as they will no longer fit come September.

I have a question for the Monday question ......

I did my New Year's Resolutions early this year (about a month early). They include losing weight, becoming fitter and healthier, but the main one is to safe my marriage. So far they are all going spectacularly well.

UK airline Monarch has vigorously denied that it is in financial difficulty after a bookmaker slashed the odds that it will become the next victim of the turmoil in the airline sector.

Luton-based Monarch insisted today that it is trading well and that it holds "substantial assets in its balance sheet".

Its assurance came after Paddy Power said it had received more than 100 bets in the last week that Monarch will suffer the same fate as FlyGlobespan, which collapsed two weeks ago. The bookmaker has now made Monarch the favourite in its "Next Airline to go bust?" market, cutting its odds from 50-1 to 4-1.

Monarch, though, insists that there is no reason for passengers to worry.

"Monarch is one of the UK's leading low cost airlines and is the airline of choice for independent tour operators in the UK. It has recently launched a series of new routes to Turkey for summer 2010 and has invested close to $1bn in a fleet of six Boeing 787 Dreamliners. It will be the second UK airline to take delivery of these aircraft," Monarch said in a statement.

"Monarch is currently 2% ahead on scheduled load factors for December 2009 compared to the same month last year, with forward bookings into 2010 ahead of forecasts," it added.

In early September 2008, Paddy Power stopped taking bets on XL Leisure after receiving over 200 bets in 24 hours that it would be the next airline to fail. XL collapsed days later, leading Paddy Power to pay out £15,000 to punters.

The betting firm said today it faces a payout of £7,000 if Monarch does collapse.

"Punters seemed to have latched on to Monarch in a pattern which echoes betting patterns in the immediate runup to the demise on XL Airways in September last year," a Paddy Power spokesman said.

"We'll be monitoring the situation very closely over the new year."

A year ago, the Advertising Standards Authority banned Paddy Power from running an advertisement promoting this market. The watchdog said the advert "unfairly discredited" airlines whose odds suggested they were at risk of entering administration.

Monarch is the UK's largest independent charter airline, and also operates scheduled flights from London Luton, London Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham airports. It has been operating since 1968, and carries more than 6 million passengers a year on its 32 aircraft.

The Monarch website is offering extra discounts to anyone booking online before the end of 2009.

A Civil Aviation Authority spokesman confirmed that Monarch currently holds all the licences required to operate as an airline and a tour operator. This means it has satisfied certain financial and safety requirements.

Earlier this month Iata, the industry's trade body, warned that it expects airlines to lose a total of $5.6bn (£3.5bn) in 2010, up from an earlier estimate of $3.8bn.

That is a new one to me. So far our management has accurately forecasted each and every airline that went under including Zoom, Globespan and XL. As far as I am aware, Monarch is not even on their radar. The one airline that they have on the critically endangered list at the moment is JAL.

Scanned back a few pages and see chatter about cruising this year and flights. We're booked with DCL and I haven't taken the time to price out anything else yet. Unfortunately it is uncertain whether we'll be able to keep this cruise or not. School for my DS is the main factor.

Also see mention of a new website but didn't see a link, can someone provide it? Is our former webmaster no longer cruising with us? Just curious why the change.

It's been a while since I checked in. Life is hectic at times around here.

I cant believe it is 2010 already. I hope everyone had a good holiday season.
This cruise is sneaking up really fast on us.

Today I became a grandma for the 5th time
Its a girl, named Maryann. 8 lbs 9 oz which is a big girl!
I wont get to see her until the weekend because they live far away.

Miserable rain here but after looking at the snow pictures I guess rain isnt so bad.
Lynn, I love the pictures of the Beagles!!
They are so cute.

Just stopping in to say Hi again. I have not been on in forever it seems.

We are still cruising with you all. Seems like a very international group, fun! never mind I can't figure out what most of you are chatting about half the time!

Looked at flights again today and best I see is $595 American Dollars each for now. We will fly PHL-BCN non stop if at all possible. I guess it is fortunate that PHL is a regular international stop over. Connecting flights makes me way to nervous. Never having been across the pond myself (DH has, in the middle of a terror threat!) or out of the country except for Canada and just this last year Mexico and Grand Cayman on our first ever cruise. So much to think about and learn.

Glad to be in 2010 and a very Happy New Year to all of you. We closed out 2009 with 3 funerals over that many weeks, all throughout the holidays. A close friends 4 month old sweet baby girl, my DH father and a dear elderly friend. They will be missed but not forgotten. Makes me want to seize the day and not wait or put off things that are important in relationships.

We will be clebrating 25 years of marriage on this cruise and can't wait.

I've about given up on getting my tickker to show up right, not sure what is happening, I have had them before with no problems.

Is anyone doing a daily, weekly or monthly countdown on here besides in the tickers? I know the time will fly by but it is fun to watch it do so.
