Hi everyone! It's been a busy couple of days around here. DF and I worked at the New Year's Eve party at my work place the other night and since then life has been crazy! I'll be on more starting this week because I'm having my ACL reconstructed on Wednesday. Getting nervous for it though.

Welcome to all of the newcomers who I may have missed over the last couple of days!

Hadley, glad to hear the packing is coming along! I can imagine it's a very busy and stressful time right now!

Hi Hadley,

Yes, I was on the eastbound TA. It was wonderful, rough seas and all. At that time I was still too new to to the DIS to know anything about these boards. That won't be the case this time.;)

Where in Germany are you moving to? My DH and I lived in Germany for 7 years and loved every moment of it. :lovestruc You will not have to worry about Christmas decorations for next year, the Germans know how to celebrate Christmas and their decorations are beautiful.

I hope you will have a chance to travel, there is so much to see and do there; so many countries just a couple of hours away by car. I hope you enjoy it. :goodvibes Let me know if you have any questions, it has been awhile, but I still remember a lot about it; still keep in touch with my old landlord every Christmas...

Oh yes, we actually loved those rough seas:rotfl: it really made it feel like we were SAILING:thumbsup2

We will be living in Eppelheim which is a suburb of Heidleberg. It is such a lovely area and we are very excited. I will keep in mind htat you are a good person to PM if I have questions. We are fortunate to have good friends who are German who live near by. Dave also has family about an hour away in Biblis. This is the first time we have ever moved somewhere that we actually know people before we move:goodvibes (we also know a number of families just a little from having hosted their teens on two week exchanges during the summers--all organized by the compay DH works for).

Wow Hadley, I cannot imagine moving, let alone to another country! We just bought our new house last March and I swore we will never move again!
My sil lived in Germany for a fair number of years and loved it. I hope you have an easy trip and move!

Thanks. It is a bit different than moving across the US, but I am sure we will do just fine in the end. As far as moving goes, we have gotten prett yaccustomed to it. Marika just turned 12. She has already lived in 6 houses and 5 states:rolleyes:
Just popping in to say "hi" and I hope everyone had a great holiday season and safe new year.

We had a fabulous trip on the Dawn Princess over Christmas, for anyone interested, I put a review on Cruise Critic so PM if you'd like the link.

At least now we can say "next year" when we are on the cruise but wow does it seem like a long time away! I've been gathering ideas for FE gifts this afternoon as its very slow at work ;)

Ooooh, is the Dawn still sailing the MExican Riviera? If so, I would love to hear what you did in Peurto Vallarta (I have been visiting since childhood and my parents live there so it feels kinda like hoem to me and I love hearing what peopel decide to do there:upsidedow )

Thanks Hadley! I've been thinking about you and your family a lot with the big move! Is your DH still in NH or is he in Germany working?

Thanks for the well wishes!!!!

Welcome, KATIESMOMMY and YodaMouse! Glad you're joining us. I think we're going to have an amazing time!

Dave is still here:love: They would have liked to have had him start Monday in Germany but couod not process the work permit fast enough. So, we will all head over together at the end of the month (I like to keep us all together as much as possible anyway--when he travels for work I miss him soooo much; yes I am still totally in love 13 years after we got married). Speaking of weddings, how are your plans going?

TheDisneyGirl02- good luck with your ACL surgery- how long will you be recovering/aka stuck at home? I hope all goes well and will be glad to see you post afterwards. I'm new to this thread but am trying to keep up with everyone. It will feel like family once the cruise rolls around.---Kathy

Back from Disney World! The crowds were overwhelming, but I know how to do the parks, and we waited no longer than maybe 40 minutes, more like 30 for any ride, most were done with fast passes or at the right time, even Dumbo, and the waits were nothing! We went to Blizzard Beach twice and to the beach on Sunday, so we got to see the Wonder sail away at Jetty park. Very cool! We spent Christmas day in the hotel, a posh Marriott that we LOVED, just swimming, putt-putt golfing and snacking.

So I am tanned and satisfied back in Illinois, waiting for the next snow storm on Tuesday.

Disneycruisin', I met Michael at the vacation club. Nice guy! He'll be on our cruise, too! Yay!

Hi Everyone! :wave2:

I'm new to these boards and can't wait to meet you all on this cruise. I've been lurking since I booked the cruise last October, but its so overwhelming trying to keep up with you all. You're a chatty bunch!

It'll be myself (35) and my two kids travelling DS14 and DD12 (at the time we sail). I can't believe my son will be in the teen club by then. Yikes!

Thanks to everyone for organizing everything. It looks like we have a great group!

Kelly

Yes, Welcome aboard (and, since you're DVC, Welcome Home!). And don't be shy.

Welcome HERE to Katie's mommy and also welcome to YodaMouse.:wizard:
Check post one for lots of pertinent info. and also the link to the website where the rest of the really important stuff is:goodvibes I think soemwhere in all that is a list of teh many B2Bers (of which I am not one:sad2: --now that airfar is not an issue maybe I'll stowaway in Erik and Jason's cabin and let the rest of the family catch up in Barcelona:rotfl2: )

YodaMosue: did I read that correctly that you were on the Eastbound TA last time? Many of us on this one were on that as well (Stepahnie, Erik & Jason, Sandi and her gang, Chris & ROb, Sarah and her man, my family. . .--sorry to anyone I am missing in this hastily typed list).

We have been packing up the house like crazy. It was so odd putting away the Christmas decor this year and knowing I won't see it next Christmas (for you new ones, my family is moving to Germany in 27 days and we are only taking what we can fit in suitcases along with us). I told the kids they must make me lots of lovely ornaments next year;) Dave laughed at me for packing the FE to bring in my precious space:goodvibes :lmao:

So exciting for you packing up for Germany! Youll have to remember next year that I think Germany celebrates Christmas on the 6th of Jan like a lot of the European countries and Russia do. Will be a different experience altogether! Youll have to drink lots of Gluvine (cant spell) too lol

Welcome back! Glad you had fun! I still remember working Disney for Xmas and it was hell on earth so I'm glad you still managed to work your routes out and get the most of out of it.

Did you get on Toy Story Mania?

Oh my God I've just realised we can say next year!!! ARRRRG!!!

Hi all! WOW you guys sure do get an early start of it... I just wanted to stop by and say hi.

My DH and I will be doing the last Med and TA back home. We did the TA in
'07 to Barcelona and were sorry we did not do the first Med cruise right after, this time we are doing it up right.:woohoo:

Love the B2B logo btw, and I actually figured out how to add it to my signature (finally):rolleyes1

Not sure what I do from here, but wanted to say hi all the same.:goodvibes

Thanks to all for the warm welcome!:goodvibes

Even though it is still pretty early in the proceedings, anything I need to be doing at this point? Not sure what I've missed out on up to this point.

Welcome aboard! Looks like there's a few B2B's out there now you lucky sods!

I think at the moment we have sign ups for:

Roll Call
Lanyards
FE Gifts
Secrete Mickey Gifts

These are all on the first post I think

Oh and we have a map where you can pin point your location on and see where other people are from.
With that in mind where abouts are you guys from?

OK so I had worked out that multi-quote option and was all down with that then come back to work and find.... I don't have the button on the forum when in work to do it! ARG! Sorry all looks like you may have individual quotes when I'm in work (although I will try to group them like I did today so some are together just takes too long to do all). It's cause of our weird webscense thing we have here. It's the same way I can see some of the pictures posted while others don't show! Very weird

Anyway morning to everyone. Hope everyone's OK today! It's my first day back in work and guess what, I have no work to do! There's a surprise right? It's becoming a joke now!

Kelly, glad you will be joining us, I know what you mean about the thread, dont get put off if nobody answers your posts! It moves so fast, they always get read, but sometimes not replied to! They get lost I think because it goes at a 100 miles an hour.

Glad you are back and tanned Anne!! wish it was me!

Sarah, it is just nice to hear from you, how are you feeling now?
Sarah, that was the FIRST thing Len said when he woke up on new years day,(we are going on a disney cruise next year) I was at work, he came to my work for hogmany to stay, it was a disaster, I was so busy! then we went to bed at 1am, we have a flat cat, Orly was scared of it and refused to settle untill he got in the bed with us(under the duvet) it was ridiculous, we got no sleep, 2 adults and a beagle in a uncomfy bed with idiots texting all night, I could not switch the phone off incase the vet phoned, ah the joys.
