Kelly, I'm in McHenry County, just south of your border. I think we share weather. ugh. More snow tomorrow.

Old Moms unite! I was 41 when my last was born. I figure by the time my boys are teens, I'll be too senile to worry.

SHHHHH that is how old I am now, if DH Casey had his way we would try for that boy one last time lol He is 7 years older than me, so he believes me when I tell him I am too old!:lmao: I had my first at 37, second at 39. We say that we will be too senile all the time when they grow up! lol

Kelly and DizzneyDAnn, we are about five hours SE of yall at the end of Lake Michigan! I can do without all this snow also!

We had been told 18 years prior that there would never be children, so our shock with Katie was huge, when Carrie came about I told the Dr, ummmmm I think lightning does strike twice lol. My clock is ticking very loudly now, it hit about 6 months ago, but I am very thrilled with the two we have now and blessed that they even made it!

I LOVE the ponies!!! Carrie just let out a squeal and went ohhhhh pretty horsey!

Have fun in Switzerland!

Ok, so if I promise the kids a ride on the ponies will you come visit me in scotland??:woohoo:

My grandmother on my dads side immigrated from Scottland as a young woman. I have tons of relative there still. My mom has the family tree with the (cant think of the name) plaid material for the family clan there.

When we did some research we found my grandfather on my moms side had family also from Scottland and they grew up within a few miles of my dads moms family. It was really a weird coincidence.
Who knows they may have known each other?

Some are from Ireland too, thus my name Kathleen after some irish relative whom I never met.

Maybe some day we will get there too and look up some people.

My Grandmere always said we had Scottish blood somewhere, but I dont remember exactly where. My Grandparents were immigrants and my mom was first generation here. Like DH said you wouldnt know we were Irish (sarcasm). We are O'Brien's and my Katie is actually Kathryn after my mom lol.

Hi Everyone! :wave2:

I'm new to these boards and can't wait to meet you all on this cruise. I've been lurking since I booked the cruise last October, but its so overwhelming trying to keep up with you all. You're a chatty bunch!

It'll be myself (35) and my two kids travelling DS14 and DD12 (at the time we sail). I can't believe my son will be in the teen club by then. Yikes!

Thanks to everyone for organizing everything. It looks like we have a great group!

Kelly

:welcome: onboard Kelly.

So exciting for you packing up for Germany! Youll have to remember next year that I think Germany celebrates Christmas on the 6th of Jan like a lot of the European countries and Russia do. Will be a different experience altogether! Youll have to drink lots of Gluvine (cant spell) too lol

No, in Germany Christmas is celebrated on Christmas Eve rather than on Christmas Day. In Southern Germany the Three Wise Men come around to bless the house on January 6th. They write their initials and the year with chalk over the door which is meant to bring good luck. They also tend to collect money for charity on their way round.

Wow, learn something new everyday! What a great multicultural group we are!

Ooooh, is the Dawn still sailing the MExican Riviera? If so, I would love to hear what you did in Peurto Vallarta (I have been visiting since childhood and my parents live there so it feels kinda like hoem to me and I love hearing what peopel decide to do there:upsidedow )

The Dawn (and the Sun) are pretty much permantently based out of Australia at the moment. We sailed from Sydney to New Caledonia and Vanuatu then back to Sydney. It was amazing sailing out of Sydney Harbour (it has to be the most beautiful harbour in the world!) past the Opera House and under the Sydney Harbour Bridge - only 2m clearance!

We did do Puerto Vallarta last year on the EB repo though - we went ziplining and it was amazing! Can't say we saw anything of PV itself though :rotfl2:

We are at a State Park in SW Texas. We don't want to drive in the rainy, stormy weather so we decided to spend 2 nights here before we head to San Angelo for a day then over to San Antonio/Austin for 3 or 4 days. We just found out that you do not need a fishing liscense to fish in a Texas State Park (just need to pay the entrance fee). So, DrHug may get to spend a day fishing over by San Antonio. :thumbsup2

We had a fun day at Tombstone, AZ a couple of days ago.

We saw gasoline for $1.20 (yep not a typo) in Las Cruses, New Mexico! :yay: We had just filled up at a truck stop, but only paid $1.45 and the $1.20 station was kind of small and would have been difficult to navigate in the MH with the tow so we were not too disappointed that we had already filled up. $1.45 was good too. :thumbsup2

Seeing the beautiful snowy ponies (which are beautiful!), I thought I'd just show off about the temperature, its currently 87F=31C outside right now. I've just been for a walk and its pretty darn warm! Anyone wanna come for a mini-meet? :rotfl:

Tomorrow is going to be even warmer apparently - unfortunately I have a busy day tomorrow moving a client's servers to a new building so its going to be hot, sweaty and dusty work - can't wait :rotfl2:

We must have crusied together! We were on the Magic's Double Dip in September also.

We were on that cruise as well. We told the kids it was the last family vacation we were paying for since they are now 20, 21, and 24. Their response was we will believe it when we see it. To tell the truth they are probably right since we are DVC members.

Love the fuzzy ponies! I remember brushing icecycles of my horse in the middle of the winter (NW Indiana). He liked to splash in the trough...crazy boy!

Welcome aboard! Looks like there's a few B2B's out there now you lucky sods!

I think at the moment we have sign ups for:

Roll Call
Lanyards
FE Gifts
Secrete Mickey Gifts

These are all on the first post I think

Oh and we have a map where you can pin point your location on and see where other people are from.
With that in mind where abouts are you guys from?

We live just outside of San Antonio TX. It is freezing here today (41 was the high)!

I signed up for roll call, lanyard and the google map. Not sure whether I will do the FE or Mickey gifts. I am going to do the FE on the Podcast cruise, see how it works out, and go from there.

Thanks for all the help!:goodvibes
