Hey All
I'M HOME
just spent 8 days enjoying "The World" now back to reality
I had the most amazing trip ever, Abby and I both agreed that the best thing about the cruise was the people we met, seems all those hours of reading endless pages was really worth it.
Hey Andrea
"ditto" on the table mates, I loved sharing a table with you 4 for the trip
What a disaster to come home to i'm so sorry
I hope you manage to get on top of it all super soon, and knowing you I KNOW you will.
To all my table mates..... and all my tablemate neigbours, thanks for such wonderful dinning room times, they really are some of my fondest memories...
Got to sort out my Piccies and i'll be sure to write a brief review of my time at WDW.
Thanks again to all those i toured with, met, smiled shared time with.
You all made my very first Disney cruise SO SO magical.

Hi Warren ... welcome home. It was wonderful to meet you and Abby too.

Not thinking of the 2011 WBTA??? Some very cool people on that one...Straight back at you and Mark
The begining of 2011 would be a great time to lift our spirits, especially as I will really be back down to earth with a bump, I have no confirmed holiday plans for next year yet.![]()
Ditto.Hi Warren (and Abby)LOVED meeting you both....and can't wait to pop in and see you at HOF Warren........

Sounds like a plan!!!! If I'm invited, of course...![]()
Thank you Sarah!!! Tho' Sir Plankster will be back in the US by then...of course you would be invited .... and you could bring Planky![]()
For those who rebooked something onboard and had it transferred straight away to Dreams, have you heard anything from them yet? I am sure we have normally heard before now.
I had a great time on our Magic-al journey!!! It was so nice to meet you all! I loved the tastings, tour of Madeira, visiting, and gifts - I received FE gifts and I didn't participate! Thanks to you all!!!
I got sick in Orlando and it got worse when I got home.I spent the last few days on the couch. I'm so thankful the worst of it hit me once I was home. And now reality sets in...Back to work tomorrow. I just looked at my calendar and boy will I be busy in the next few weeks. I'll be thinking of you all and of the great voyage we shared! Miss you all!!!!!

Just FYI- anyone who rebooked onboard.... make sure you actually got it booked!
We also had some problems with 1) wrong staterooms booked and 2)credit card not charged.
I got an email from DCL with the above mentioned problems right before Franchesa from DCL called us on Tuesday, Oct 5. Within minutes of getting the email, I was just getting ready to call DCL when Francesca called me to discuss the bookings. Luckily, we got all of the issues that were incorrect resolved in our favor.
A giant "thank you" to everyone who made this trip so special. Greg and I especially enjoyed many a night in Diversions with Mike & Jody (AlexandNessa) and chatting with Andrea and Greg. This was an amazing cruise, especially for first-time cruisers, but we likely won't be back for a couple of years. Time to use some DVC points and hopefully enjoy some European cities in a more leisurely fashion, too.
I'll be starting a trip report over on that board fairly soon. We started the trip with Greg (DH) being hit by a truck, so...there's a story there.
Thanks again everyone!
Erica
Our reservation was there but not our TA info and not the on-board-credit. It took our TA talking with a supervisor before they would give it to us.
I thought Leslie, the booking agent was very nice and prompt. I know she worked through her lunch time and called us late in the evenings. I also found the quotes were delivered to our room within 1 day. Plus she was training someone else. On other cruises the agent was there only during the posted hours and it tooks days and days before we got the quote card returned and then only after mentioning it to her. I wonder if it was the agent or the wonderful DCL system that messed up. We all know how defective that system is. val
Please PM me or email me if you are interested in doing a DIS meeting/get together. I live in the Philly area and love Shady Maple near Lancaster. Thought we could meet there on a Saturday. So for those interested either PM me or send me an email to: Bweiss923@aol.com We can share pictures, memories and laughs.
Bev![]()
I would love to get together with everyone, but I would probably have to skip a November meet...it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas during that month. LOL!!! However, I would love to join everyone at the next meet!![]()
Thanks Sue! You are a star!!!!![]()
Oh this is a fab idea!
OK finally caught up and last load of the washing is in the machine.
We had a fantastic time and thanks to everyone who made our holiday so special! There are so many of you that I just can't believe I didn't even see on the cruise but those I did made it even more special and hopefully those I didn't aren't offended that we didn't catch up with you.
We had a wonderful time in WDW too going on all the rides and enjoying the sunshine. Today in South Wales its sunny and fairly warm but coming in on Saturday to cold rainy weather was a shock to the system.
The only downer regarding our holiday was the baggage issue in Port Canaveral. When we got to WDW we unpacked one case to move stuff around and found that my DCL Beer Stein was smashed into around 40 peices and my Pirate Night light up glass was crushed along the bottom. One of the Castaway Club champagne flutes was also cracked down the middle. So not happy and can't get a clear answer from DCL as to whether I can claim for this or just for the cases. DOES ANYONE KNOW? The case isn't damaged and so can't claim for that.
Anyway everything else made it back in one peice so all good. Just waiting on food shopping now which is due any time.
Hey everyone! I've been back for a week and too depressed to login.
It was great getting to meet everyone and I am so glad to make friends from across the world. Noel, thank you for hooking us up with Min Yu and his family in Madeira.
The drink tastings were fantastic and seeing everyone with a lanyard or the transatlantic t-shirt was such a great conversation starter. It was amazing how many of us were in Disney world last weekend.
It was such a great time, I don't know how I can ever top it.

I just wanted to send a heartfelt thank you to all of you for making our trip a dream come true. It was wonderful meeting so many of you!!!!
Thanks go out to all of my fellow Coconuts for the wonderful FE gifts we received. I hope you'll remember our adventure fondly when you listen to the music CD.
Special kudos go out to Sue, Sarah, Jason, Erik, Sarah and Corinna.
Sue: You're a marvel! You prove that yes, you can do it all AND enjoy your vacation, too!
Sarah: Brilliant job on the Navigator! Well done!!!!
Jason and Erik and the lanyard team: Thank you so much for the nametags and lanyards. They are treasured keepsakes of our trip.
And Sarah and Corinna: Thank you for all of your time and effort that went into the scavenger hunt. We had a wonderful time doing it and will treasure all of the special photos that we took along the way!
One last shout out to the wristband team. Thanks you, thank you, thank you!!! I hope I didn't miss anyone else.
Until we meet again,
Lisa Marie

The drink tastings were fun, weren't they?!
Welcome home!!!! I can't tell you how many people I have told about the Ultimate Disney Trivia and some of the crazy questions we learned the answers to! Like Leah... LOL!!!
I need to get myself to bed soon - I have to be at work at 6am tomorrow morning.
The last couple of days have been interesting. My great aunt who is 92 was put in the hospital on Thursday with a perferated bowel (not sure if I spelled that correctly or not). Anyway, because of her age there is no chance at this point that she is going to survive this. My mom and I visited her on Friday in the hospital and Friday night they moved her to hospice. I was there on Saturday and again today and she is going quickly. Her one grand daughter is playing music from the 1940's in hopes that when she passes, she can dance to heave with her husband who passed away a few years before I was born. The hospice nurses said it would be maybe 24 hours this morning, but she's in a coma. It's just sad to see her like this. She lived a good long life, but it's still sad and hard regardless.
On a much happier note, Dave and I will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary on Sunday!![]()
Glad to see so many still posting. I still need to upload my pics to flicker will do.
Thanks.

(I know this is blasphemy but we are looking at the Carnival dream the week of September 17-25 2011 if anyone wants to join us... We have a timeshare deal that we need to use up...)
I hadn't heard anything from anyone else on the board or if they posted, I missed the posting, so I thought it was just us that got things messed up with the on board agent who seemed pretty overwhelmed when I spoke with her. With all the on board bookings DCL seems to do, it seems strange to me DCL only assign one agent for on so many on board bookings.
Just my thoughts...

Anyone else notice that there still isn't enough time to read and post here?
We booked our Carnival Dream today for week of 9/17/2011. Anyone want to join us? We got a Cove Balcony room - deck 2!scared1
Have a dummy date for now booked with DCL - Looking to move it to week of 9/15/2012 if anyone wants to join us there as well!!
Hello all....it was a real pleasure to meet so many of you guys....made the cruise of a lifetime even better! I am sure many of you remember me.....since I got hypnotized and was Susan Boyle and Hannah Montana.....oh yes.....I was a star....but it was a blast.
We don't have to live in the UK to go to a UK reunion, do we?
Happy Anniversary! So sorry we missed it!
I've been to the UK in January.Wouldn't spring be better timing, especially if someone were to come from Orlando?

I agree re the 3.30am, it was a bit annoying, it seemed to take ages to dock, the noise in our room on deck 2 was the worst it had been for 2 weeks,Hello all....it was a real pleasure to meet so many of you guys....made the cruise of a lifetime even better! I am sure many of you remember me.....since I got hypnotized and was Susan Boyle and Hannah Montana.....oh yes.....I was a star....but it was a blast. We just had a wonderful and restful time on this cruise. DW was struggling getting around with the boot on her foot so we kind of low keyed it and honestly....it was the best thing we could do. We got home just well rested and looking forward to December when we are doing 5 days in Disney and 3 nighter on the Wonder. We had 2 couples at our table and they were just great people....good conversation......just a wonderful time. For the most part, we really enjoyed the food....and we tried things we never tried before so it was good. Only drawback to the whole cruise is when we got back to Port Canaveral at 3 in the morning and they started loading the containers on the ship--knocked us out of bed at 3:30 in the morning! Must say we were very pissed but we had no control and guest services were not answering the phone. Found out many people were not happy and were at guest services at 5 in the morning....otherwise.....it was great. DW wants to go on the WBTA next year but I think it is something we cannot afford next year....maybe in 2012....anyway.....real pleasure meeting so many....wish we could have met everyone!

Sue, we still haven't heard from Dreams. I actually sent Kelsie an email this afternoon, and no reply as yet. I don't know how others get her to reply so quickly as I always have a wait, and quite often have to email again after a few days.
I guess if it is on the DCL site then all is good, but I have to say this last year I have become more disillisioned with DU. Makes me feel like I am nagging, and I don't ask them much at all.
Sorry that your stuff was broken. What rotten luck. I do have to ask though - what champagne flutes? Were they your CC gift? or did you buy them?

I am so glad you had such a positive experience with Leslie. I had the complete opposite experience. I gave her all of my information when I personally booked with her. She asked if she should charge the card on file and I said yes. When I had not heard from her in writing, I made several trips to see her and was told not to worry, that everything would be done after the cruise.
I never received anything in writing until I received an email from DCL the Tuesday following the cruise.
Life is not the same without our Disney service crew: dining - Toto and Cindy and stateroom - Jenny. We hope to see them again on another cruise.

We just need to find somewhere fairly central to us all .. I'm sure it can be done Mandy!
I was less than impressed with her as well. Previously, we always have dealt with Joceline and that was an entirely different experience. I did not mind at all that we had to wait for a quote for a few days and even that once we made the booking that we had to wait for a few days for a confirmation. I know that she was very busy. However, this does not excuse that she had overlooked that we wanted transfers and also that I wanted to nominate my existing travel agent. I picked up on the fact that they price was quite a bit lower than I had expected and queried this. Once I realized that she had overlooked the transfers, I then queried the travel agent bit.
