Sept 18 2010 WB TransAtlantic Pirates/Capt Jacks Re-Repoing Repossession Cruise Pt.10

Kristi,

We are in Worthington, kind of in the middle of nowhere. Just relocated here from Florida.[/QUOTE]

I've been to Worthington, in fact, my sister in law is from Worthington! :)

Kristi

It is pretty quiet tonight. You can tell people have started traveling and our European friends are warmly tucked into their beds - snoring!!!:rotfl2:

First, Sue, you are a wonder. We all love you and appreciate everything that you've done for us. I can't wait to meet you!! :grouphug:

Well, here I am still at work thinking of all the things I have to do at home.

Packing? Well, I took the luggage out yesterday......

Breathe, it will get done.

FE? Half done on the ironing board at home. Got a frantic call this morning to take my chronically ill mom to the doctor because she cannot sit or stand without excruciating pain. Diagnosis? Stenosis. RX: lots of drugs and bed rest. Lovingly told her to dope up and don't do anything strenuous until October 4 when I return home. My younger brother (an adult) and handicapped Dad will have to hold it all together until then.

NO guilt, no guilt, no guilt.

This trip is for our 25th anniversary and I have to take time for us for a change.

Sitter in place for our elderly dog at home. Oh, dog sitter has to be told that we just found out today that the street, sewers and our driveway will be removed over the next week. She's on her own when it comes to finding a parking spot in the subdivision.

NO guilt, no guilt, no guilt.

Breathe, it's going to happen.

Only two more days for catastrophes to happen.

Hang in there Lisa Marie!!! 25 years and you should be celebrating with your hubby. I always think, "how can the world fall apart in 2 weeks?" It won't. Hang in there and you will be in my prayers.

I have a question about the Secret Mickey. The mini navigator says to give the gifts at the farewell lunch. I thought we were delivering the gifts during the cruise and just revealing ourselves at the lunch. Does anyone have more information on this? Thank you.

Brenda

Well my first ever FE is done :banana:

YEAH!!!! :yay:

Hubby decided not to drive tothe airport on the day but to stay at a hotel right there. Makes sense but know what that means I have lost a night and a morning of organizing:scared1::scared1::scared1:

Yes but your vacation will start one night sooner!!!! :thumbsup2

I'm not an expert since this is my first Secret Mickey but my understanding is the same as yours - we deliver gifts during the cruise as little surprises.

Checking in...we are on our journey. Last night we spent in Spokane, WA and caught a 6:30 am flight to Ft. Lauderdale. Uneventful flight. Tonight we are definately relaxing at the Hyatt Summerfield Suites near the airport. We had a few glasses of wine during their free evening gathering here. We are now tucked into our room and enjoying just being on our way. We are officially on vacation!!! No meals to cook, dishes to wash, beds to make, floors to clean for a month!! :woohoo::dance3::yay: Tomorrow we drive to Miami and spend the night there, at another Hyatt Summerfield Suites. We Highly recommend this chain of hotels. Very nice! We are thinking we need to come back here for a week. :thumbsup2

I have called our DD and told our DS, don't call us with any bad news before Oct 2. Good advice I got from the DIS. :goodvibes

Have a safe flight and I'll see you on Saturday!:banana::banana:

Can I vent, steam and cry for a moment? Please feel free to pass this by, but - be warned dining is involved...

So, I think that I was doing a pretty good job of keeping it together. I packed for the 4 of us, I did the tastings (and all tickets were charged today!!), I did the FE, I am waiting to print out the navigators as I wanted to bring some extras, and I have the master list info from Glenn - so I can print them tomorrow at work.

Then I got the bomb shell... (OK skimmers, STOP and read!!)

Dining has changed AGAIN!!!!

I swear I am close to tears. I just got everything figured out and now BAMMO, it is changed. All I know is that the second formal night has changed. I don't have rotations - but I have asked for them... I could be wrong - maybe it is just the night of the formal night...

OK - yes, it is just the night of the 2nd formal night. It is now on night 7. I am beside myself. Nothing has been easy today! Nothing!!! I could just sit and cry right now!

My house looks like a bomb went off, Beccas teacher decided that she wouldn't send school work with her, and told me that she will get 5 days to finish 2 weeks of work (the week they are in and the week that we missed) which is totally different than what we were told last year. I am afraid of what Stephen will be up against and he is working so hard to keep his grades up. I am doing a send off lunch for one of my senior employees tomorrow. He is moving to Australia on the 1st and I won't be here for that. I am an emotional wreck! I really can't take any more. So I am sitting in the gym watching Becca flip all over and all I want to do is cry...

WAHHHHHHH WAHHHHHHH WAHHHHHHH

Ok - pity party is over...

I hope you'll let me buy you a drink on the ship for all the hard work you have done.:woohoo::woohoo:

Paul

We don't leave until Friday, but at least now I can say I've started the "lay everything on the bed in the guest room" prepack. I really can't pack until Thursday. It is just the way I operate! Time to look up more sunrise/sunset times.

I finally started packing!:thumbsup2I thought I was going to be able do just take one suitcase but it isn't going to work out!:sad1::sad1:

Paul

I'll still be here! I think Paul is on the same flight I am out of JFK (5:40 p.m.) and I know Tom and his wife are on that flight as well. 2.5 days of work !!!!!!!!!! :yay::banana::cool1::cheer2:

I am on that flight and I look forward to seeing all of you at the airport!:thumbsup2

Paul

WahWahWah, My step mum just came and took my furbaby, Holly. The house is so empty without her, I sat on the coach bawling foe an hour, I really am pathetic, Ok, I am about 10 pages back, will catch up eventually.
2 more sleeps!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Yes,,,upset stomach, hands trembling and hoping I remember everything!!!!

I'm right there with you!

Dining has changed AGAIN!!!!

OK - yes, it is just the night of the 2nd formal night. It is now on night 7. I am beside myself. Nothing has been easy today! Nothing!!! I could just sit and cry right now!

Doesn't sound that bad of a change. I imagine they were flooded with folks like ourselves who switched rotations because of the previous change. Unfortunately, this means our 2nd choice (LAP) may now be our first choice over the PLA rotation previously requested.

exactly 12 hours of sunlight

6:08 AM and 6:08 PM

Shame we won't be there the full time to enjoy it. Aren't we scheduled for an early departure from Tortola?

It is pretty quiet tonight. You can tell people have started traveling and our European friends are warmly tucked into their beds - snoring!!!:rotfl2:

Or we're running around packing like crazy and don't have time to read and post! Okay, break's over!!

OMG!!! :scared1: You'll be able to pick me out at the gate - I'll be the one with the terrified look on my face! Either that or I'll be asleep because of the Xanex! :lmao:

You won't be alone in your terror :sad2:.

Just spent the past 6 hours in the ER with Howard:scared1: Kidney stones got the best of him again.:sad2: He gets sicker every time. I think when we get back.. Im finding another Dr to handle this:headache:

That sounds like a good idea; I hope he's feeling better.

Yes, she was given the new meds today so we're crossing everything she doesn't have a bad reaction to them. :sad2: She's not too good just now and I just don't know what to do to help her........*sigh*

P&PD that the meds help big time, Mandy .

Yes,,,upset stomach, hands trembling and hoping I remember everything!!!!

That sounds exactly like me! I have been in an advanced state of anxiety for the last several days....can't wait to get on board and forget the rest of the world.

By that time there will only be 2-3 left on the boards - Candy Apple, Paul and Me!!!

Oh, no, I'll be here too ;).

Can I vent, steam and cry for a moment?

Sue, a good cry might make you feel a little better. If it does, go for it. Otherwise, the dining is all small stuff, so don't stress yourself over it. At all. Really. I do hope all the other things that are happening right themselves. Deep breath. It'll work out.:flower3:

First, Sue, you are a wonder. We all love you and appreciate everything that you've done for us. I can't wait to meet you!! :grouphug:

Yes, indeed!

Well, here I am still at work thinking of all the things I have to do at home.

Packing? Well, I took the luggage out yesterday......

Did actually get clothes and meds together today. Now trying to sort out the bits and bobs.

Lisa Marie, I completely understand what you're going through. We have had to leave both of our elderly moms at times and it's not easy. HOWEVER, you absolutely need and deserve some time to yourselves. Believe it because it's true. NO GUILT. You are entitled to couple time. Just plan to have fun. If you want to talk, I've got a sympathetic ear.

Today I just realised Im missing the pope in edinburgh by a day, that was close, most of the city is getting shut down, would have been a travel nightmare.
I was driving out of work and seen a sign.........

papal visit , massive delays.

I was thinking whawh, is there a mr paypal?

Len was pissing himself, he said papal you idiot:idea:

awwwwww
Ive obviously been buying way too much of the net:lmao:
I almost fell of my chair laughing Lynne! Thank you! Mr. paypal. OMG. Just too funny.:lmao::lmao::lmao::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Sorry for the repost, but I didn't see a reply in the part 9 -

Anyone have any idea what kind of weather to expect while we're crossing the
Atlantic? I don't know if I should throw a few pairs of jeans and a sweatshirt in or not... My wife says weather.com is saying low 70's during the days.

Anyway... if you see six lunatics wandering around with hats that say "1 of 6", "2 of 6"... that's us. I believe I'm "4 of 6". Say hi.

That did it! Running to the pottie!!!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Okay, since I was able to laugh, I've decided that the trip is worth all this drama I am going through packing. I still have a small bag that I have no idea what I'm going to do, but I have packed the essentials. You might see my in the same pants with a different top, but at least I will have on clean mentionables. Every day. Sometimes twice a day. Clean mentionables. That was the first thing that needed packed!

I just put the video camera on the shelf along with my books. If I have time to read, I'll read on my iPhone Kindle. :goodvibes Okay, I put one pair of shoes in the closet. I took my toiletries out of the cute case with my name on it and packed them in zip lock bags between my clothes. :goodvibes

I have packaged up all of my fe and also have the little kids gifts in my carry on. The big kids gifts fit in my checked bags. :woohoo:

I think I'm going to wear my hoodie. I'll replace that with my favorite pair of shorts which are on the bed. Took them out to make room for the fe.

Two flipping days of packing. But I can see the end is in sight...:yay::yay::yay:

64 hours until wheels up!!!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Sue... in case you are skimming, I didn't want you to miss this buried into the middle of my whine.

You have done a fantastic job. :worship::worship::worship::worship: You have made this trip a trip of a lifetime. :thumbsup2 A fairytale. princess:Please stop letting the dining crap get to you.
Seriously. We're going to get on the ship and I'll bet you a drink-o-day they change at least one thing again.

So relax. In 3 days we're all going to be together having a ball. :dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3:

And Sarah and PJ! Great job with the navigator. :goodvibes:thumbsup2:cool1:

You all are stars.:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

So much to do and so little time to do it all!

I am REALLY hoping that the Disney Store will not need me tomorrow or Wednesday nights - I need the time to finish packing and getting everything together. Though with my luck, they probably will!

Quick question:

I was going to put my candy for the candy exchange in little bags for each stateroom - is that OK or should it be in it's original sealed packaging?

Today I had my first dance class of my 28th year of dancing. I've been at the same studio the entire time. Actually, it was 10 years ago today (on the 14th) that we flew as a dance company to Sydney to perform at the 2000 Olympic Games. What an experience that was!

The other AWESOME thing that happened today was that I got my Xanex filled and it only cost me $.27! :yay: It's even more than one pill! I also picked up some sea sickness meds as well as ginger gum. My sister (who is taking the same medicine that made me sick last week) was feeling a bit sick to her stomach and I told her to chew a piece of the gum to see if it worked...it only made her feel worse! LOL! I felt so badly! I'm still bringing it with me though -rather safe than sorry!

To all of you who are leaving today, have a safe trip and see you all on Saturday!

Okay, on the bed that needs packed... t-shirts, one pair of shoes and a dozen extra mentionables....

Okay, I really think I have enough, so I'm putting the extra in my dresser drawer. Now, I'm not sure but I think Disney just might have a t-shirt or so for sale, doncha think???:rolleyes1:rolleyes1: So I can put them away. I'll find a way to squeeze these shoes in there somehow. Okay, going to bed.:cool2:
