Hello Everyone!

We just got back from RunDisney Wine and Dine weekend. It was such a wonderful quick trip, we ate and drank our way through the weekend and ohh yes I guess I ran too! This was our last hurrah on APs before they expire and we do not plan on renewing for a while since we will be doing Universal and Disney Alaska Cruise instead coming up. I hope you enjoy it.

Basics:
Oct 24-27
AKL 1 bed DVC Value Level

Who are we:
2 Adults
Me: The Disney obsessed mom who keeps trying to run at 41.
My Mom: She is my cheer squad.

I will continue to update over the time. I tend to do lots of pics! Feel free to ask any questions or comment!

Day 1: Travel Day
Friday we fly United from Denver to Orlando in the morning.
We go in really early just incase tsa was backed up from the govt shutdown. But np here today! Yeah!

Now just fyi... my mom just twisted her ankle a couple of weeks hiking in the mountains... soo she is still hobbling... it is a slow walk through the airport.

We go up to club united and get breakfast.
Yummy 😋

Then we head to the plane. My mom used points to upgrade us to first class soo nice.
So we started with mimosas. Man do I love first class.

They even give u full meals. This was a peach crepe! It was really good.

Then plane landed on time and we head off to pick up luggage. No issues really quickly. Always nice when that happens. Then pick up our toll tags and then go to rental car. We got a great deal on Costco through Alamo.
We got to skip the counter useing their app... but it was still slow to check out in the car.

Then we head Espn Wide World of Sport for the rundisney Expo. This thing is soo big.
First stop pick up the merch.
They have cool sign everywhere.

Then we buy a ton of stuff. Normally alot of stuff is sold out on Friday since the expo starts on Thursday but less was sold out.
Here is our merch hall.

They also are doing a partnership with Brooks shoes and they have a shoe fitting area too wich is really nice.

U can see in the merch hall I got the coolest stitch special edition shoes!
Cannot wait to try them out.
Then we head out and I see my fav slacker nation YouTuber crew. They do rundisney content focusing on us back of the packers. Love them.

Then on to pick up my bib.

So next we head to bib pick... things are spread out over several buildings. Friday is less crowded than Thursday but still a lot of people around.

Bib pick up was easy no line could just walk right up.
Next I checked out the character lines in the bib area. The lines were soo long and we had a dinner reservation to make so I had to skip them... but notice a magic shot spot with no lines and jump into it. Cute!

When heading out I saw they had a table full of pumpkins themed to haunted mansion looking like a cm competition. Super cute pumpkins.

Now on to the next building! You get a lot of steps just walking the buildings... my poor mom ankle is not feeling great at this point.. to bad there is no scooter to rent at the ESPN Zone like at the parks.

We pick up the shirts for the races that is included and then do a couple of pics at the number sign set ups. The line was pretty short.

Then we check out the expo merch quickly. I am looking for headphones since at the time I thought I forgot to pack them. I found the shokz headphones booth. I have a cheap pair of headphones and never have tried these expensive but always heard good things about them. Tried them out , wow they are soo nice. I see why everyone buys them. So I get a pair and they gave us a couple of cooling towels for free which is a nice little perk.
Now back to the car to go to our hotel and our dinner reservations.

I do a quick pic at one last photo stop.

And now we head to AKL which is actually quite close to Espn Zone which is nice.

We got a message about an hour ago that our room was ready for us. I love online check in. So easy. We got room 5024 a 1 bedroom value. Soo the cheapest 1 bedroom u can get. We love a great deal.
We pull up and I drop off my mom with her luggage. She heads to the room while I park the car and take my luggage to the room.
The rooms are well themed. U can tell they need a little tlc... which they are going to be renovated soo but hopefully do not lose their theming during the reservations.

The bathrooms are smaller than a regular 1 bedroom. The tub/shower is very hard to get in out of... I would say they is the only real downside of this value room. (I did slip one time in this tub... so watch out)

With the value rooms u cannot request a view it is luck of the draw between partial Savannah, pool or parking lot. We got pool view which is better than parking lot and infact we could see and hear the flamingos soon we still got animals and we could see some Savannah past the flamingos too. So we saw a giraffe and zebra a couple of times from our deck. Soo overall love this view esp considering the value of it. I

Also being a pool view means we are close to the lobby and elevators... which can be am issue in AKL that can have long hallways.

We did a quick unpack.
I check out my new stich shoes some more... look at how cool they are..

But now it is time to head to our dinner reservations over at Saana.

I checked in at bell hop to make sure that the Amazon groceries that will be delivered soon sill be refrigerated if they come during our dinner and they confirmed yes. So that is great and we hop on to the shuttle that takes us over from Jambo to Kadani side of the resort.

Continue on to the next post.
