Sept 17 2005 Magic - am i alone on the ship?

Jenny... looks like you're right on for me, Lisa & mom all 3. (For the reminder signs) Where did you grow up? In Ohio? We grew up in Columbus or most of the surrounding suburbs.. like Grove City, Grove Port and the likes. Where did you go to school?

Jen... if you talk to SweetSue let her know she can run to any public library that has power and get on the boards there to get the "DisFix"!

Happy Saturday!

Jenny- The room sign count for us was correct, Thanks!

Jen, thanks for letting us know that you have heard from Sweet Sue. The description of Missy's kids was pretty funny. We need to add "Missy's Discipline Tips" class to our FFC agenda.

Still haven't received our cruise documents or any word from DCL regarding our early seating request. AAARGH!

I vote for wearing our shirts Wednesday, too- that sounds great. We wore ours this morning while we were out doing errands to say "NA NA NA, We're going on a cruise". :cheer2:

My DS and I are off to look for pirate costumes and mega camera memory.

Have a great weekend,
Pam

Jenny- The count you have for us is correct. Thanks for doing all that for us. Steve is celebrating his 38th b-day Sept. 19th which I think is Sunday of the cruise.
Hello to everyone else. Karen #3 nice to hear from you again.
Only 3 more weeks until we meet!

Hello everyone:

I am donaldsgal's sis. I just thought I would say hi before the cruise. I am really looking forward to the cruise. I am looking forward to meeting you all. I have enjoyed hearing about all the posts that Jen has been reading over the last few months. Very interesting. Unfortunately, that is about all I can think to say right now, so I guess I will go.

See you soon...

Melissa :hourglass

We finally get to meet Jenny's DSis..........welcome to our quirky group.

If you believe think that I should be teaching "Molding your Kids to be Perfect" 101 then you will also believe that I am 5'7, 120, with beautiful blonde (natural of course) hair. :earseek:

Don't we all know someone who thinks their kids are any and all of those descriptions though!

Donna actually has seen a picture of my son so she holds the key to the game "where in the world is Missyoh8"..........LOL We might not see her much after Tony goes to the kids club since she and her hubby have been seperated for so long ;) . So maybe she won't have an opporitunity to give away the secret information. :rolleyes1

Night everyone,
Missy

Jenny - your number is right for us.

You all have been so busy! Honestly, I hardly have time to keep up!

I got a name wrong the other day...apparently Chelsea has also e-mailed with Kiley - Courtney's younger sister (Chelsea is 11). She corrected me!

I am planning to mostly stay on the ship for excursions. Dh and his Mom will be going off for a few. I just want to RELAX! Plus, I am planning to earn a 10-day trip to St. John through my business this year...so I'll be back in that area in early spring. :wizard:

I looked at the website...it looks like fun. I will see if I have pics I can send.

Have a great night all!

Melissa, Great to hear from you. Loved the pics of you getting up close and personal with the pie. Yum! Keep chiming in!
Missy, You can use people like that to your advantage. Remember they are always the ones who jump and run when they hear their precious children. We used to sit and visit in play group and when we needed to check on our kids in the basement, we would say...."Was that Brianna?" And off she would go...inadvertently checking on all of our kids. Funny how often she fell for that! :rotfl2:

I kinda figured that! Courtney's not much of an emailer... now Kiley on the other hand... she's a social butterfly!!

:sunny:

:flower: Just a quick post to say hello! I was just trying to catch up on the news.
KSUMom, otherwise known as my daughter in KS, I've been trying to call you all day & left massages. Are you avoiding me? Guess I have to post on here to tell you what I have been trying to call you about. You'll probably get it sooner! :rotfl: I got the size large FFC shirt, but it is too large, so guess I am going to use the Med. size after all, just wear a shirt(unbuttoned) over it. But now we have to get or make one for Courtney. Also I emailed you a pic about a little caddy I found @ dollar store, wanted to know if you want one also.
Jenny, I see that KSUMom has confirmed our cabin's reminders. Thanks for all your hard work on everything. You & Jen have done a great job getting all us FFCer's together. If it weren't for you guys, we probably wouldn't be about to meet all these wonderful people we've been hearing all about for months. Can't wait-only 3 weeks!!! :Pinkbounc :grouphug: :grouphug:
Good-nite all,
Penny

Penny, you are leaving massages! :cool1: Bring a couple over here! I love massages ;) Thanks for the nice words. It has been fun!
If you want me to send you the iron on thing (that is the official title "iron on thing") (I guess I shouldn't be making fun of anyone, huh!) let me know. They iron on real well and t-shirts are cheap at Walmart.
I have been having "cheesy" issues (as opposed to cheeseball issues). I made the four of us, mickey mouse tie dyes and a mickey mouse iron on shirt for the parks. I figure it is fine to be cheesy when you are posing for pictures with a mouse. The tie dyes actually turned out quite cute and I did mine a little less obvious so you can't totally tell it is a mouse head.
Tammy did you see my post that I got a mickey tie (they had about 4 different ones) at Walmart.
Brad sent me a picture of his really cute kids and I posted it. He assures me he will send one of his skinny wife and his skinny self (no pressure) by TOMORROW....I will let you know when it is updated. Nursegardner, who we are so glad tohave back, sent me some information on herself and husband. I updated her bio and most of the kids bios are done. I didn't put Missy kids in because I don't want our kids to get a complex.
karenD, You doin' okay. When is Tracy coming in? you all should have a good time. Tell us your story of how you met...I know on a cruise ship....
Good night all!

Jen, the Mickey tie dyes sound so cute! I wanted to do some for us the last time we went to WDW, but couldn't figure out how, so we wound up with just all-over tie dye shirts. The colors came out well, and lasted for forever. But the Mickey idea is just too cool.

I found an outfit on sale at Kohl's today that I can wear for semi formal night... a very nice pant suit. I was excited when I tried it on and it actually looked OK. I just knew since I liked it so much, it wasn't going to fit. We got the boys new shirts/pants/ties, so they are all set. Emily just needs to find a blouse to go with a couple of new skirts she bought a few weeks ago. I think we may be good to go after that. (Well, I need to shop for some "foundation garments," but since this is a mixed forum, we won't talk about that! :ssst: )

I'm up late tonight cooking for tomorrow's potluck after church. 1 pan of brownies is done; now I have 2 pans of homemade rolls to fix and I'll be done.

Karen

Karen, pass a pan of brownies & some of those rolls this way!! They sound GOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!! :flower:

Mom.. I'm not avoiding you, I've missed the calls & haven't had a chance to call back.... got the message re: the shirt, that's ok, I already made an iron on one for Court. We had our Girl Scout swim party tonight, so I spent the day getting all the paper work together for the parents who showed up & that way they won't have to do it at the meeting on Monday.

Goodnight all!! :cloud9: Sweet dreams!

H! I'm only sort-of back. The withdrawal symtoms were too much so I hooked up the computer to the generator. I'm sitting her sweating to death in the 90+ heat just so I can talk to YOU! I missed you guys.

I can't believe it's less than three weeks until we cruise! YIPPEE!!! Man, you wouldn't believe how sticky a keyboard gets when it's 90+ degrees and 90% humidity. EWWWWW!

Anyways, I only have a bit of time on the computer to get some bills paid, so I can't catch up yet. They are suggesting we'll have power possibly by Tuesday. I hope. At least DD will be in school tomorrow. They have AC over there. I'll pop back in the next time I hook up the computer...

Love you guys! :grouphug: Thanks for all of the thoughts, wishes, prayers, etc. Now we just need to focus them over on the gulf coast. Katrina looks down right wicked.

Sweet Sue

Isn't funny how you can miss people you have never met? I woke up this a.m. and thought about you and Christina down there sweating your petuties (aka a****) off. Looked on here to see if you had posted, and there you were hooked up to the generator! lol Good luck, should be better once you get your little princess off to :teacher: in the morning. Then you only have yourself to worry about for a few hours.

Karen, do you make rolls from scratch? I have thought about it a lot and never done it! I think my kids would love that. They are extremely picky eaters (OK I LIED ABOUT THEM EATING EVERYTHING- ARE YOU HAPPY NOW) and bread is something we can all agree on!

Jen, if you get a chance can you send me the inverted iron on? I am going to try and get to Walmart (yuck) and see about the boys shirts and ties, maybe I will pick up some shirts. I as a rule don't like to wear tshirts, maybe I could bedazzle it and put some shoulder pads in...........straight from the 80's. HMMMMMMMMM, might work. :earboy2: My husband as a rule doesn't wear anything that would possibly match me (i.e. the same)!

Have a great day,
MIssy :wave2:

Hi everyone!

Sue, I'm glad to hear you and DD are doing ok. Hopefully you will get power back soon.

Later everyone,
Emily

Yes, I make them from scratch. I have a couple different recipes I use. The one I made last night is a refrigerator dough. You mix it up and let it sit in the fridge till you need it. It rises in the fridge, then you shape it and let it rise for another hour or 2 outside the fridge before baking it. Since we were running around all day yesterday, I was able to mix the dough before we left the house, so all I needed to do when we got home last night was shape, let rise, and bake.

And posting of course! Right Karen 3!
Don't bother rereading everything...It is crazy. See Jenny's post 1250 on page 84 (is that right? Check my or her signiture)
Check out the web page to see who you are talking with...and send me info....even minimal (like names!) If you send me your e-mail, I will send you a list of everyone and their pic on it. Kindof a take along reference.
That should catch you up on everything. Really glad to have you back  We are going to have an awesome time!

I need that list again...I thought you sent it to me, but can't seem to find it :confused3

 SUe, Glad you are surviving the heat and humidity! :sunny:

Missy, Iron on coming your way. If you have a Nordstrom Rack....they have cute tank tops their. Remember, don't get the ribbed. I don't do t-shirts either but will do tank tops. It's not like you are replacing a cute dinner outfit with them, and besides, all the cool people will be wearing them. Speaking of, are "crocks" popular out where any of you are? They are these really ugly, plastic (looking) gardening (looking) shoes. Worse than duck shoes. They are alllll the rage here. They are out of Boulder (ugly shoes...out of Boulder....NO) There are kids, women and MEN wearing them. A unisex shoe! They are supposed to be sooooo comfortable. Anyway, I broke down and bought some......WAIT.....They are for Disney world....6 days of walking. The problem is, I can't see if they are comfortable becasue I can't wear them out in public. :rotfl2: I'm telling you, people love them!
Karen....YUM The mickey shirts were soooooo easy. I got the idea off the main DIS boards....If you can make homemade bread.....you just draw a mickey head (I used plates and cups as stencils, cut it out and traced it) then baste around it, pull the basting tight with it all coming out the front, rubber band it and then rubberband the rest of the shirt and go. Really easy and fun. TUrned out surprisingly great!
Off to breakfast at my moms.
