The pillowcases...making the up nice and pretty for character signatures. Mys sister (KSUmom) tole me that if you give it to DCL when you check in that they will have all the characters sign it and have it delivered back to your room. So we have downloades tons of clip art and are designing out own pillowcases for the boys...their names, pictures of the characters, ship name, cruise dates...whatever I can come up with...keep in mind that I am no artist! DH and DS(15) have been haveing a riot laughing at me when I mess up!

I have HAD IT with pop-ups!!!!!!!!!! On the advice of someone on the community board, I've downloaded Firefox and made it my default browser. Hence, the moving smilies.

The real reason I'm posting is to share an unusual happening for DSis today. As you may or may not know, she is somewhat of a big whig at her company. She doesn't like to hear this, but it's true. She also got a promotion recently, so that just proves my point.

Anyways, her company is a pacesetter for the annual United Way Fundraising Campaign. At her work, they decided to raise money by letting the employees vote on which person in each department (biologists, study directors - DSis' category - and a few other departments) got a pie in the face! It wasn't certain until yesterday or so, but she got the most money in her department for getting the pie in the face!

For your amusement and to prove my DSis is real and not a figment of my DIS boards imagination, here are some pics of her being a good sport (FYI - she has a terrible cold, too!)

Called Sue....got voice mail. Left her a message telling her we are thinking of her and to let us know asap that she is okay. I gave her my home phone but we are going out so....hopefully all is well with her.

Okay, about Walmart (picture gagging smilie) I have to say...they had a lot of stuff. They had Mickey ties for $8.96 and nice t-shirts including ones with the color around the neck and cuff for $3.00 (men's section) and (boy's section). If anyone is making FFC shirts that is the place to go.

Speaking of....why don't we wear them to the Sweet Sue Suite Bday Selebration. What do you think...that way we are all together and can get a picture. Anyone have any better/different ideas?

She really is a GREAT sport!!!

Jen, I LOVE those WalMart tees. They're a great deal...unfortunately for the most part, you can't beat the deals you get at WalMart. That EVIL EVIL corporation!!! What can you do though?

Happy Friday!

This is the only time I have had to check the board and I have been wondering about Sweet Sue all day. I hope she calls Jen back so we can all breath a sigh of relief for her. Thanks for calling her Jen.

I still haven't heard regarding my early seating request email that I sent Wednesday. Most everyone else got a response within 24 hours so I getting concerned, but maybe with everything going in FL it will take awhile.

We did receive our FFC shirts and magnets today. TOO COOL! We all wore them this evening, we're ready!

I went out looking for a pirate gear today since the stores are starting to put out the Halloween costumes, but no luck so far. I know alot of people are dressing their kids up- are you all planning on doing the pirate attire, also?

Jenny, glad to hear things are getting better for you. Your sister looks like alot of fun and a good sport.

Christal- where in St. Louis do you live? I just wondered how close you are to us. Are you flying out Saturday morning or going earlier?

Jen, that was me that called Allseas about my docs. I was so disappointed when she said they didn't have them yet. I told her I was a little anxious because last time I received the docs the same morning that I was leaving! Luckily they arrived in the nick of time. I am definitely hoping for a little earlier this time! I am getting so frustrated waiting for an actual date for dh's return. You would think with time being so short that they could give you a date Jenny, your sister must have a great sense of humor!! The goggles were a good idea! Hopefully Sue will get power back soon, sometimmes the cell phones get wacky from all the increased usage in the area. For a Cat. 1, it looked pretty bad on TV. I gotta admit, I never rode it out, I always ran for higher ground I hate regular thunderstorms. Hopefully mother nature will play nice during our cruise.-Donna

Hi gang!

Had a good night here. We went to dinner with our mom at Red Lobster (for the sea food lovers in us ) and then came back and mom worked on a scrapbook she's making of our dad's side of the family. It was a quiet night at home.

Thanks for all the posts on DSis; I was hoping that would spark a lot of response so I could get her on here to post once before we sail. It still may happen with a bit of prodding from me.

3 weeks from now, we will be (okay, I will be be... DSis will be sound asleep on her bed) trying to sleep so we wake up rested the next morning. I realized that week we're going to start dwindling in numbers since some of you are leaving and heading to the parks before the cruise.

Regarding the FFC shirts: I thought we had decided we were wearing them on Sunday? I don't really care, although I'm not sure I'll wear it all day at St. John (we'll change before heading to Sue's party). However, it is a good idea for a group pic as Jen suggested. The reason I'm being anal about picking (and sticking) with a day/time to wear them is because I'm adding that tidbit of info to the meet reminders I'm making up. So everyone sound off -
