Pam that's great about the upgrade. I wanna be upgraded from CAT 6 to a CAT 3 just bc I want the chocolate covered strawberries through room service. It's a concierge thing only.

Maybe Karen can have us over for desert one afternoon. Do I hear strawberries and champagne????? Karen from CA you are in CAT 3 right?

Hi all.......back from our trip to "America's Roller Coast" a.k.a. Cedar Point! We have now switched over from kiddie land to big rides, what a great time we had. It was only 75 degrees and the park had gone into short hours for the first day of low season. What a bonus we rode every roller coaster they had and the park closed at 8 o'clock. To boot the weather could not have been any better!

Back to cruise talk. Emily I like your countdown everyday, thankyou.

Christal, I understand your stress all to well. I am sorry for everything you have on your mind.

Donna, great job on the Hyatt. We don't get in until 10:30 or so, maybe we can catch a quick meet for the boys before we head out to the port.

Jenny, good luck with whatever is bothering you. Words of wisdom from some older ladies here.....this to shall pass, this too shall pass, this too shall pass.......

Brad, sorry about the space issue and you not having room to bring your fancy dresses. That is such a bummer. I am sure you will be looking great anyhow.

Hello! I finally did it, I used Hotwire for the Hyatt. Thanks for all the help, I had never used Hotwire and was not sure if I had it right. You are flying in Fri. nite Missy?
Yes we should definitely let the boys meet before we go to the port. We are supposed to get to MCO at 10:45am Fri. So we will have some time to kill before check-in. By that tme it won't matter, once I get off the plane, I hate flying! I especially hate the fact that since we are flying out of a tiny airport, it will prob be a tiny plane. Makes me nervous just thinking about it....Oh well, I guess I should get all these school forms filled out since tomorrow is the 1st day of school. At least I can go and have my nails done tomorrow without my ds asking me, "how much longer?"

Broward's officially closed schools for the next two days so it's final. A four day weekend! Now as long as we have power, it'll be just fine. Have much work to do tomorrow - bringing in all the lawn furntiure, putting up hurricane shutters, battening down the hatches all while trying to keep DD4 occupied! What fun! This is one of those times when single-motherhood is for the birds.

Things are fairly calm here though. A few extra people at the gas station and in the store but otherwise quiet. Katrina doesn't seem to be that big of a deal (yet) so we'll see how it goes. They expect lots of rain here though even if it isn't as windy as other storms. Rainfall up to 20 inches in areas.

I'm hoping Mother Nature is sending the hurricanes early (now) so that it'll be smooth sailing for our cruise!

Glad to see the docs are coming now - and that everyone is getting early seating.

I'll be sure and order extra of those chocolate covered strawberries - and I will get an entire order just for Tammy so I can enjoy champagne. Yummy! Is it my birthday yet???????

Counting the days - with this 4-day hurricane party I should be able to get my packing figured out!

Sue, That's the part of living in Florida that I don't miss! Of course as a kid it was great being out of school! The other ugly part was always the cleanup afterwards, and the enduring the heat when the electricity would go out. I hope Katrina is kind to

Yes Donna, we are flying in Friday night. We were trying to let the kids (and me) get away with only missing five days of school, not 6. Seems like when they miss Friday they miss tests, so I thought we would have them go. I used to hate small planes too. I like them now. Since 9/11 I enjoy the intimate relationships on a small plane. I like to look everyone in the eye and get some false sense of security, like I can see into their soul. Wierd, I know, but it works for me.

Sue, hope everything goes well in the next few days. You have a great outlook.......keep it up! Seems like when you can let go things you have no control over, it makes life a lot easier to live! You seem to have that down pat.

Emily, make no mistake Cedar Point is no Disney World! However, the roller coasters are second to none. It has the charm of days ago.......like you were back in the early 1900's, which I love. Sitting by the lake and hearing all of the old wooden roller coasters and then the screams. There is definately something about it that is so fun.

Received an e-mail from DCL, early seating it is for us.
I sent an e-mail to the address Sue supplied(Thank U!) and bingo less than 24 hours and its changed.

Missy- I am a little jealous. I lived in western PA for many years of my childhood, always wanted to go to Cedar Point but never did. Maybe next vacation. Glad to hear it was a good time.

Jen- good job on the new pages of the FFC site. I will try to come up with some info on my kiddos and send it your way. I'm also trying to (although not very hard) get a more up to date pic of the family. DW has lost some 20 pounds since the photo that is posted.

Everyone else-

We plan to head to Dillards in the am and see if the 75% sale is in full swing yet. This past weekend just a few racks were 75 off. Most swimwear was 66%.
