Wow... I missed a LOT today!!! If I can remember questions from what I read:

Jen, we do homeschool our kids. Our "principal" has no problem with us taking vacation during the school year. We tend to not take some of the days off that schools do (MLK, teacher inservices, etc.). You got your Magic Express baggage tickets? I don't have ours yet and we are arriving the 14th.

Whoever asked (it's not on this reply page), we are in Cat. 2. I hadn't even stopped to think about the whole free food thing, but I'm game!!

Last night was our "Wicked" night in San Francisco. If any of you are going to be anywhere near this production, you have to go!! It was so awesome. I wish we could go again. Jen, it's supposed to be headed to Denver after it finishes up here... And for those of you in MO and IL, it will be in St. Louis sometime as well.

Gotta get the kids in bed. Wednesday nights run a little late for us now, since I am now on the praise team at our new church we have to do a sound check on Wed. nights to get ready for Sunday mornings, so that means we don't get to leave till 8:30 or later... and that puts us home after 9pm (when the youngest kids usually go to bed).

Oh, those of you whose kids have Emily's messenger addresses: she is back online. She actually got a webcam earlier this evening at Target, so she is stoked. Now I want one.

Well just got in from work...just to start work I know...makes absolutly no sense in my job you have field work and the com-pu-ter work! FUN..FUN..FUN

Someone posted the dining tables only fit 8 people. Is this true?! We're a party of 10 and i'd hate to think they're going to separate us. That would be very very bad.

I may have to bug the TA again if thats the case or do you think we could wait and fix it on board? Our TA is recovering from surgery and I hate to bug her - although her hubby has been handling our affairs quite nicely. I dunno - input anyone?

It did for myself, Brad and we're throwing pixie dust winmo's way in hopes it works for her. Lord knows if I waited on my TA..... well we all know that story!!
As far as the table seating...I think someone posted that if there isn't enough room they put your party at a table nearby??? If I remember correctly...'course then we're having to rely on MY memory Oh boy......that's just another chapter in the I'm getting older book

It's the table seating i'm concerned about. Right now all are ressie's are linked but i'd rather sit with Skycon for a table of 8. Disney has always been accomodating (at least thats been my experience) and i'm wondering if when we get on board if we're at different tables we could make changes then. We got the early seating we wanted. But right now we're on shaking ground with mom and sis and given the choice would rather not dine with them if they're going to split us up anyway. Only major problem I see is that DD is in their cabin - will they split up a cabin for dining? Ugh why can't vacation just be vacation? Ok done venting. Thank you for listening.

Good luck to all those out shopping. I actually think I'm finished. I bought my scoplamine patches and rum drinking1 Ahh-- there we go) last night. Oh, need a book light. And maybe some new camis to sleep in from Old Navy that aren't pathetically frayed, etc.

Good morning to all!! I'm just back for another exciting day of "work".... well not really work... surfing... waiting for the phone to ring or someone to give me something to do!!

I spent last night making up t-shirts.... I thought I'd give it a shot so that I knew they'd fit! They came out pretty good. Only wasted 1 iron on sheet! That was a total goof on my part... I forgot to "re-flip" the pic from Jen, since I used the iron ons for darker shirts the image didn't need flipped... did the 1st one right, but the second I forgot to re-flip it or un-flip it.. whatever...

Waiting for my TA to email me with info that docs are officially here!! I'll prob. be picking them up at lunch time. (Lisa... send me your work address....)

Got my docs yesterday!!!


Of course I almost had to take the UPS guy out to get them!!!

I had just gotten home, and I heard the storm door being opened and then closed...(no one's usually home yet when he delivers, so he's used to just leaving the slip on the door for us to sign and he'll leave it the next day) So I opened the door and looked, and saw that it was from DCL!! I RAN out to the street like a child and said "I'm here, I'm here!" He just laughed and said, "I figured it must be important! It's from Disney!!!"

So anyway, that was a good way to begin wrapping up a rather "blah" day!

Karen, thanks for the report on "Wicked"!!! I think the tickets go on sale for the show here in STL while we're on the cruise!! So we MAY have to hop on in to the internet cafe to order tickets on the day they go on sale. But we were planning on going!! It's great to hear a review from someone who's seen it!! (we ALMOST went and saw it on Broadway when we were in NY, but we just didn't have the time because it was such a short trip)

Tracy, it was me who said only 8 to a table....Here is my source....I called Disney to link Wendy's reservation and get her assigned to our table...they said we already had 8 (getoutthere) at the table so they put them at a table close by. I have no idea about the accuracy or strictness of the information. It is what it is (my absolute favorite saying)....Good luck! I have Brad, Tammy, Wendy, Tracy, Trisha new to early and I am changing the site...anyone else....Who else wanted it...I think Winmo and John, right? Any luck? Try to e-mail and let us know if we can help. Power in numbers, baby No problem is to big for the FFCers (how dorky!)
Karen, I did get me magical express docs yesterday. We leave the 15th. I, too, got a call and caller id said Frontier airlines. I thought, nothing good can come from this call. They canceled flights...Fortunately it was two hours earlier going in and two hours earlier coming home....The end part stinks because that was one of our days in the park...but it definately could have been worse!
Not much going on here. I hate homework and can't wait to track off next week!(kids anyway)

Oh Brad...and anyone else...while Dillards is still mostly 50% they are an additional 30% this weekend. Atleast in Denver.

Well, I mentioned to Jen A, because she was always talking about it, and I had never heard of it! (she's from Michigan, and apparently it's kinda big up there) But anyway, I told her that someone on our DISmeet plays it, and she was REALLY excited! So if your DH is interested, and if he's willing to help Jen teach others how to play, then he'll have some people to play with!

Anyone else here know/like euker??? We also play a canasta (again with the SP? thing! lol) type game called "Big Foot". It's lots of fun.

Anyway, that's it. I'm really getting excited.

It's gonna be a busy few weeks though, because I'm not finished shopping, and I haven't started the packing stuff yet...

I have been checking my email hourly but still no word on my emailed request for Early Seating that I sent yesterday. Thanks for all the tips and words of encouragement. I have learned so much here!

We haven't received our cruise documents or FFC t-shirts, anxiously awaiting their arrival any day now. Congrats to all that have received theirs.

Just got an email from TA due to Hurricane Katrina they are closing up shop 'til monday. Unless by some miracle they've already been sent it looks like we'll have to wait until next week.

On a better note I went to party city and got 2 pirate wench outfits one for DD and one for Skycon's DD. I also got a black and white stripe shirt from Ross for less than 10 bucks. So except for some odd and ends and a shirt for DH we're set for pirate night. DS decided he'd rather dress a the red ranger with an eye patch, sword and hook.

I also sent an email to disney about the dining arrangements, i'm waiting to hear back. Maybe I should just call.

My people hail from northern Ohio and we know how to play euchre. That is actually the main event at our family reunions.

No docs here, we are anxiously awaiting. Do they ever come US mail? I can't remember how they came in the past.

My DNana and I are going to see Wicked too! When it comes to Ft. Lauderdale. I'm really looking forward to it.

Glad to hear most of you have been getting early seating. The answers may begin to come slower. All of Florida tends to watch the weather when there is a hurricane around. Which means if work isn't closed, there isn't much work getting done.

Oh - I messed up on the hurricane docs. They did come via UPS just like everyone else's.

Well, looks like Katrina will be Hurricane Katrina before she lands right here. Yep, right in my backyard. If you want to look at where I live, look at the Katrina eye on radar (http://radar.weather.gov/radar/latest/DS.p19r0/si.kamx.shtml), go directly East and you found me! I'm just a smidge above where it says "Ft. Lauderdale". I think this is the closest I've ever been to ground zero. Thankfully it's a small storm!
