Hello Everyone!

I got my pirate stuff today! It turned out very nice! The pirate baseball hats actually will fit average to a bit above average head sizes...my husband will be thrilled! The pirate costume and princess costume were adorable...especailly for the $13 & $15 cost! The eye patches will not take up much room in the suitcase...so I will bring them for anyone who wants one. I think my DH will put all the bandanas to good use too.

I also ordered some fun/gross halloween candy while I was at it! I have already been into the gummy worms! Yum!

I have been debating the idea of only packing for 4 days and doing laundry mid week. If we do that please don't take notes that we are wearing the same clothes all week long! It's just that everytime we pack for a cruise we pack twice what we needed and have so much stuff we end up paying extra at the luggage check in because our bag is too heavy. I am thinking this time less is more...We'll see what I end up with!

I love that we are into counting days vs. months!!!!!!

By the way Jen, I loved the picture of Missy and bio on the website! Did she send you her lovely photo or did you do your spy work and track one down? Needless to say, I can see why she would think I would hate her because of her beauty! She probably gets that a lot! I may have to rethink wearing the same clothes all week so that I can have some esteem in the presence of her charm!

I also love the LoadedBags! They are almost as delightful as your hidden hottie on your bio!

I did buy a lot of things on EBAY when I got married for the wedding. A few things since then...including a timeshare. Always had great luck and couldn't beat the prices! I think as long as the seller has positive feedback you should be OK...although, I wouldn't know a fake if I saw it either!

I ordered our Pirate stuff today! Man...I need to quit spending $$! I got DS (1 & 3) their outfits off eBay. One came with a sword and eyepatch...the other did not. So I may try to puck up those two items before we leave for the cruise. I also ordered a couple of Pirate accessories for myself, DH and DS (15)! I am so excited! I hope I like everything when it comes!

Is there a night devoted to Hawwian attire?

CrusinLattas, that is the Wonder that is in port. It is there on Sunday and Thursday. The Magic is only there on Saturday, and you won't see it there for two more weeks. It leaves California this Saturday on its way back through the Panama Canal and back to her home at Port Canaveral. If you go back to the webcam at 5 pm EST (wasn't sure what time zone you're in) you can watch the Wonder sail out to sea.

I have to admit that Jen pressured me so much I finally emailed her that picture of Bo and I. Wait until I get a chance to send her the picture of my kids. I think you better rethink what you are wearing if you have late seating like me.......although I am usually quite loaded by then, my coiture is always tops! As you could tell by the picture I am quite the fashion diva (so is my husband when he wears a sequin dress!).

Missy, you (and your husband) sound like divas! Does he wear a tiara with the sequin dress? Mine just dresses up in reindeer outfits. I always worry about him in deer season! At least he stays out of my closet! He can't say the same for me...but his stuff is so much more comfortable!

Hi all! I think you can get those glow things at Party City if you have one around you. Alsoat Party City you can find cotumes out in Sept. already if you need any pirate things. I'm still trying to fond out if I can get on the Lord excursion. No one is getting back to me. I booked it at two different places, one said it was booked up and the other accepted my debit card but said on the e-mail that they have to make sure. Then the owner e-mailed me and asked if we would be all right if his friend supplied the boat. I wouldn't care except I want to do the same activities as he does with his and I want to know if we go out at a different time. I think I keep saying the same thing, ignor me if you heard this same old thing from me last night. Sorry!

Yep! you said it yesterday!
I just babysat a thousand children, one of which screamed for 55 minutes. I swear to you, I thought I would lose my mind!!! Thank goodness the money is good. And thank goodness it is OVER!
The funny thing about MIssy's post is she sent me the picture with a note saying here is a pic of hubby and me. Sorry it took so long...blah blah. So before I open it, I write back and say, "I knew peer pressure would work. Haha you finally sent one" Then I open it. Totally cracked up. The funny thing about the bio is she is an all american teacher and her husband is a firefighter/ ex marine so it is so far from the truth. Thought maybe the pressure would make her send a real one but the more punishment I dish out the more she revels in it. May need a different approach. One of you Ohioans needs to sneak over and take a candid of her and send it in Victory shall be MINE!
Brad, Here is a list of traditional gifts (ie paper 1st, cotton 2nd, leather 3rd) maybe you could incorporate it. It would look like you gave it a lot of thought. Another idea is plan a night or date without consulting her. Have a babysitter, plan the restraunt or better yet bed and breakfast. Make her feel like you thought of her and spent some time thnking of her and what she would like. I would like this better than a gift. Make her feel special and important. I love flowers but hate when my husband buys me flowers on typical days (ann, valentines day) save those for ordinary days, just because...unless you incorp them into a surprise date or something. Just my opinion.
Good luck with Lord Sheffield. We could have pirate wars.

Just looked at the awesome website! GREAT JOB! Just wanted to add that my DB (Rex), DSIL (Erin) and DN (Tyler - now 11) are also coming. Sounds like we're going to have a wild bunch! I can't WAIT.

Still haven't caught up on posts. Those darn computers at work just aren't working!!!! Should be able to catch up some over the weekend. Miss everyone - and really, really excited about the cruise.

Oh - got my shirts from online. The sizes weren't right so they are sending new ones. I get to keep the old ones, so if anyone wants an XL golf-shirt or a "Junior Baby Doll" size L, just let me know. The XL was HUGE! The L was small. This is in comparison to regular store sizes. Let me know and I will be glad to bring them. AFter all - they're FREE!!!

I think I have 4 postcards and 4 magnets left for anyone that wants one. Just let me know!

We are SOOOO close to vacation time. Guess I better dust off that packing list and see what I need to go buy!

Loved Cirque de Soleil!!! We were in fourth row from stage...AWESOME!!!! Also phantom of the opera!!! DD and I went and seen that..GREAT!!!

Thanks to all of you that PMed me - you all follow directions so well! I'll let you know in the next week or so if the price goes up.

We went to see my great grandma last night; did I already tell you this? She's not doing too well, so it probably won't be long, and at least she's alert and able to say and do what needs said and done.

Brad, I second the idea to plan a whole night (preferably also a night away) for Angela. That always make a gal feel loved.

Anyone want to take guesses on how Missy and Emily look? They are both strong females, and I generally imagine strong females to be brunette. I think Emily is 5'5" or 5'6", petite, brunette hair down slightly past shoulders. Pretty cheerleader type. Missy I imagine shorter brown hair with some wave, high school math teacher type - has her goods together in a way that could be intimidating, but her wit disarms her.

DSis found out she's in the top 10 for people waiting for referrals for baby girls (she's adopting from Guatemala). The hold up happened because other agencies working in Guat. raised their fees they paid to the lawyers who hook up a child given up with the agency. The lawyers were starting to be more faithful to the other agencies, but the head of the Guatemalan adoption agency for DSis' agency talked to them and that has stopped. Now they're in talks with lawyers over "several" relinquished baby girls, so DSis could either move up quickly in the next couple of weeks or maybe even get a referral. The entire process, from choosing a country, then an agency, then the homestudy, then the paperwork going to Guatamala has taken since May of 2004. So it's been a long wait to get to this point, and hopefully we're getting close to putting a face with the baby that will soon join our family! It was a good news day for the adoption.

I think I figured out a way to save $300 for books for this fall - people in my class are letting me borrow them! Awwww - seminary students are so generous.

Christal, I'll do my best to figure out how to get the Demon Drop through airport security. I think the metal pieces (of which there are a few, of course), might set it off!
