Hi all! We had a safe trip home and arrived late Sat. night. Rick was very tired after driving all the way. Hope no one else carried home a "bug" like I did - I woke up at 3 a.m. freezing and shaking like crazy, had a temp on Sun. and a stomach problem. I didn't eat anything except from the ship - can't understand what happened. I feel some better today - thank goodness I had the day off today! I will certainly be glad when this last load of laundry is done!

It was really good to meet everyone! I'm sure I missed a few. Hope everyone had as much fun as we did - even with the itinerary change!

Well, we made it home also on Saturday, took the rest of the weekend to sort out the suit cases washing this many cothes at once cannot be healthy We had a really good time and I really enjoyed meeting all of you, wish we would have had more time together. We booked again, but I want to change the date for 2007. If we didn't already have so much planned for next year I'd jump at it but...

Oh yeah, I went to the Doc. this morning bonchitis and a sinus infection. DH is down for the count also getting sick after vacation is a bummer.

Glad to hear we're slowly reporting in, I think some of the others get back mid week or so. Everyone take care, I'll be doing a trip report soon also.

I'm just curious as to when my house will stop rocking and my head will clear out? I've been in a haze since we got off the ship!! Should I stick a patch behind my ear for land??? Maybe that'll get the house to stop swaying!!

I got home and was curious just how much I may have gained... and the scales say I'm 3 pounds less than I was when I left!! I guess taking those stairs payed off!!

Susan, my scale must be broken b/c it says I'm up 5 lbs and I ran every morning. Oh well, I enjoyed the food, for sure!

Pam, agreed -- we loved eating with you all and P loves Grant. I have some wonderful photos of them. There are so many I'll put on a CD and send to you. We need to exchange addresses. I'll pm you my e-mail address.

Trisha, I have AWESOME photos of your family, too. There are 2 of Braden at the beach in Coz that should be in a book.

Karen (4kids) I'm sorry abt your foot and Karen (ng) I'm sorry abt your stomach bug. Yuck. And Karen (ng) we loved running into you everywhere. I'll never stop hoping Roy changes his mind and comes back, but, alas....

Does anyone else miss talking to each other obsessively on the boards? I do! DD said tonight she was "sorta cruise homesick". It was sweet. Makes me want to sign up again, even though we are thinking land based vacation next year. Y'all that are switching to 2007, keep us apprised of the dates. I love this group!

Any word from Jenny? Or was she doing the parks after?

Wendy, don't worry my scale was broken too. 4 pounds here, but I was expecting more.

Jenny should be back by now. I think they were going to spend Saturday and part of Sunday in the parks and then fly back Sunday afternoon.

I miss the obsessiveness too. Although I do have a few more years of that ahead of me. WDW in Dec. Cruise next Sept. WDW next Dec. Cruise in 07. But I enjoy the obsessive planning and DIS boarding. I think I'll change my rank to DIS Obsessed.

I am all out of sorts this week. I had to jump right back into everything this week and I 'm not ready. I forgot I had to bring a preschool snack on Monday, what was I thinking!! I forgot lunch money for one of my kids, I had to run it to school and I forgot my preschoolers bookbag for school, alll of this on Monday. Last night I had a meeting and tonight I have a Boy Scout Court of Honor where my son is receiving a national life saving award, only 200 a year given out. He saved my four year old daughter last year when she swallowed a quarter. Tomorrow I go back to work and then I have to work in a soccer food stand for my exchange student. I think I need another vacation! No wonder my head will not spinning. Well everyone have a good day!

Hello guys!

We got back Sunday night around 10:30. Our mom picked us up at the airport, which was nice. In the Orlando airport I caught a sudden allergy/sinus bug that left me pretty miserable. Melissa got some weird rash/bruise/sunburn on her ankles that left her kinda sore cruising the parks, but we managed to get to MK, AK, Epcot, and MGM from 10:30 Saturday until 3 PM Sunday. Whew! We rode everything we wanted but Space Mtn, Peter Pan, and Winnie the Pooh. We had a good time but were ready to be home.

Exciting news: Melissa bought into DVC on the cruise! Woo hoo! So our next trip won't have to wait until Christmas 2007 but we will probably get to go next year! Yay!!!!! Karen and Brian (4kidsandadogandawheelchair ) were excited. So are we!

Not much else to report. We spent a marathon day catching up on shows we taped during vacation yesterday, which was relaxing, and I bowled a 186 last night! Oh my gosh! That was crazy but fun and probably won't ever happen again.

Okay, that's all for now. It'll be weird not to post constantly, but this will be a busy 10 weeks as they will be my final days of grad school! I'll keep up, but might not post as much. Post pix if you got 'em - would love to see them!

Jenny, fellow DVC'er. I have to admit, knowing that we have Disney trips for like the next 50 years is nice, isn't? Good luck with that final leg of grad school. Let us know when Melissa is getting ready to adopt. We'll have to welcome a new DIS'er properly. Way to go on the game last night. It was cool getting to meet you and your sis on the cruise.

Hello All!

Great to meet most of you on the trip! We had such a good time! I have never seen DD as excited as she got with the Character Breakfast! She just loved meeting everyone! We got back Saturday...actually were able to take an earlier flight than we had booked - major plus for weary travelers! DD was still on Florida time and was up at 5:30 AM on Sunday so we went to early church. When I looked in the bulliten I discovered it was our week for Nursery duty, so we didn't get to go home early! Had a good day with a long afternoon nap though, so all was well!

Boy, was it hard to go back to work! No one waiting on me bringing me chocolate! Life is hard...

We went to the Dr. today and found out we are expecting a Boy! We would have been excited no matter what we were expecting, but it is nice to know! Now I must shop for cute boy clothes!

Karen, I am sorry to hear you are still in recovery mode! It is amazing how easy it can be to break a bone! I did the same thing years ago and spent the summer in a cast. Hopefully you will heal quickly and DH & 4 Kids will help you around the house!

Hope all are doing well! Again it was great to see you all! We did book another cruise as well. We are waiting until Dec 30 2006 to cruise again...that way DS will be 9 months old and be a good traveler. DD will hardly know what to do without seeing her character friends! I was so impressed with all the characters and how they would go out of their way to see the kids when they were on the way somewhere. DD had some great times in hallways with passing characters.

Renee, congrats! I know there are two very good sides to the know/not know debate, but I, for one (& for me personally), LOVED knowing we were having a girl. yay for you!

Jenny -- good luck with your last 10 weeks. Then prepare for the rest of your life to FLY!!!!!!!! We met with the DVC guy and considered buying in -- a geat deal to do it on the cruise, for sure -- but opted to wait until we get a real handle on what kinds of future vacations we want. WDW is certainly a must over the next few years, but we talked and realized that we also want to take road trips out West to the nat'l parks, etc. That being said -- I sure wonder abt the DVC and wanted to talk to Michelle and Chris abt it. Didn't realize Karen and Emily were members. Anyway, enough of my rambling. That is so exciting for you and Melissa--know how much you love WDW and DCL.

Off to bed. I'm STILL doing laundry. Figure all folding & putting away will be done tomorrow evening. Except for ironing.... Ugg.

HEy all! Finally home! I have to say, I am EXHAUSTED!!! The Hard Rock Hotel was great and it was great staying on site but 2 weeks is a killer....just makes me think of Michelle and her 3 weeks with the two babies!!

I was great meeting everyone and it was lots of fun catching up on the posts while picturing everyone in my head. We had a great time!

My laundry is not done because my dryer thought now would be a good time to break!!! I don't even have time to be here for the repair man! Crud!

I will get pictures posted as soon as I catch my breath. I was stalking people on board so you will see pictures of you all that you didn't even know I took You may need to look into a restraining order. If anyone wants to send me pictures to post on the website or trip reports, feel free and I will get them up. It's great to be home but stinks that the ride is over. We have had fun. Let's try to stay in touch.

Sorry we missed the meeting times, we had a number of friends from our neighborhood who were also on this trip .... so, we kind of got sidetracked.

We met TeaforWendy and Donaldsgal on the first day heading up to check in at the kids club, and ran accross each other a few times but that was about it.

Again, sorry ... did not mean to ignore everyone!

We booked for next year, same time, same place.

Welcome Back Jen!

It is has been pretty quiet on the board lately, it seems strange that it is so easy to catch up.

I finally looked at the video I took and realized I had my camcorder on in my backpack for quite awhile & didn't know it. I got a blank screen with some interesting conversations of some people who ate breakfast next to us one morning. ha

We took video of all the cushioned chairs on Deck 4 and said that was "our verandah". I am anxious to see my family's reaction to that one.
I also have cute video of some of FFC kids dancing at the family dance party.

We are seriously looking into the DVC, too. We are thinking about rebooking for next May's Castaway Cay double dip. Those who rebooked on the ship- was the 10% off on Disney's rack rates or were the rates any cheaper?

Jenny (Donald's Gal)- Good luck with your studying! Sounds like you and your sis had a worldwind stay at DW. How fun! Keep us posted on the adoption. My cousin and his family are adopting a little girl in Russia (Siberia) and have been in Russia all this week to meet her for the first time. My cousin said he is going to write General Mills and thank them for the bonding gift of Cheerios. They have been emailing us photos, it is so exciting!

Welcome back Jen and Jenny! It's great to have our two spokespeople back at home.

This real life stuff is a real pain. I came back to yet another reorganization and new job. My new boss takes over sometime next week (I think), so I'm in the middle of what my old boss wants and what my new boss wants and what my employees need and my old job committments and my new job committments and ....

I wish I could have talked more with everyone. There just wasn't enough time! Especially with having an additional port day vs. sea day.

I actually came back but not from a virus. I got sea lice from the Dolphin encounter in Cozumel AND got really stuffed up ears from my scuba diving in Grand Cayman. By Thursday (yes, the day of the SSSBS), I was a mess. I still have itchiness from the sea lice and stuffed up ears - and on top - had a root canal done Tuesday! I'm a mess! And looking forward to a relaxing weekend by myself. Oh yeah, I have to work on Sunday

At least I have the next cruise to look forward to! I'm going to miss all of you that are taking the Magic next year. We're booked on the 11-night like Emily. I guess I could start getting into that group, but it just isn't the same. You all are great!

I'll post some of the pix this weekend. I've got at least 3 sets of "group" FFC photos. If I was better with photoshop I could turn it into one big group photo with everyone! I can't wait to see Jen's spy pix!

Hey all...... Got my dryer fixed. Yeah! Just have to make it through this weekend. I have an all day class tomorrow (on being a brownie leader....seriously, how hard can it be), a big party tomorrow night (formal 6:30 to 12am), have to go to my neice's birthday party in Loveland (1 hour drive) on Sunday....what a crappy weekend. Next week should slow down and I can get some pics posted. I took about 1300 pics on vacation, probably 700 on the ship. I think I may need some therapy.

Mark, sorry to miss meeting you. I was so inpressed with how many people showed up for all the meets. Way to go FFCers. Christal we missed you, but I stalked you so I still have pics .

OH, Mike got a jelly fish sting and Trent got sea lice on the end of...well yeah, anyway...at Castaway Cay....they said hot water, anti itch and benedryl....hope you feel better Sue (you should be able to get some good (yet legal) drugs for that root canal. Tell the Nana story at Palo....talk about scary drama!

Let me say now if Jen tries to post some pictures of my friend Missy and her sister Mary with no makeup on and wearing bathing suits in a bar doing shots...........I can assure you they are something she has obviously twisted of someone else to make Missy and Mary look bad!

If they don't look super-imposed then my next excuse is that it is not Missy, it is Lola............she has a slight drinking problem.

And anyway........I (I mean whoever was there) didn't have a camera to get any blackmail pictures of her doing the exact same thing!!!
