Well what I did (which may or may not work for all) is I blackmaled all of my friends who have a camera. I said loan me your memory stick ( chances are they are the same) not the camera, or I will show your spouse pictures of you that they shouldn't know of,,lol. Upon returning from trip, transfer pics. to computer or whereever erase memory stick and return to friends. Just have to label each little case to be sure you give each person back the correct amount of memory.

GREAT IDEA David!!!! :goodvibes

Someone refresh my memory. Who has the postcards and magnets? And how much do I owe you for each?

Hi All! Miss a couple days and it is catch up for hours!!!!

It is so exciting to think we are just days away!!! I am so excited!!!

I have not had time to get green yarn, but we do all have T-Shirts with Crusin Lattas & Newsoms on them that we will wear on Saturday so you will know who we are. With DH's luggage choice...the zebra stripe...we will be hard to miss anyway if you see us at the airport in the AM...:teeth:

I have Dr's appt. tomorrow AM, but we don't do the sonogram until we are back a week, so that is the one I am really looking forward to...to see if we need to buy some boy stuff or if we are on easy street!!!!

Jenny, I am sorry for your loss of GG! I am so happy for you that you get to go to the service and spend time w/ family this week! God does have perfect timing so that you get closure on this before your trip!!! Now you know she is taken care of and you can be there with your family to share her memories and be able to enjoy your vacation knowing your GG is in a better place too!

Trisha/Steve, I am sorry for your loss as well. I know it was for the best; I have been in that situation myself. It is still such a tough decision to make. I know that the timing was good on this one as well. I doubt you and your family will have much time for thinking about it once you hear that horn blow! Distraction can be a good thing!!!!

This past week seems to be full of sorrow...remembering 9/11, Huricane Katrina updates, etc. I am glad we are about to get a free pass for Magic and Happiness!!! Pixie dust for everyone....and now I am ready for a happy dance!!!

"Oh and as far as the wrinkled clothes go,,, I sacrifice the purchase of one or two photos to have my clothes( at best 2 suits and 2 dresses " wifes of course") pressed on the ship, so I just pack my suits in suitcase that eliminates the bag as well.

We do the same thing David..........send them out the first minute I get a chance.

Jenny, I am so sorry for your loss. Enjoy the time you get with your family Wednesday.

Trisha, I am sorry for your loss as well. We have also struggled with that decision, very hard.

On a lighter note! We are all packed and ready to role!!! Worked late today, so I can take off early on Friday.

Start a new class tonight, UGH. To be honest, I don't even know what it is? LOL I guess I will find out when I get there!

See you on Saturday,
Missy

Boy! You all have been busy today!

Renee, That is so exciting that you get to find out what your baby is soon! I'm definatley in the FIND OUT group.

Deege, That is what I did......I borrowed my dad's 2 512 memory cards plus my 512 and my 156 I should be able to take about 1100 pictures! (remember 2 weeks) and my kids have digitals and can take about 150 each so we should be fine. Remember we can post and share when we get back too. The ipod adaptor is $25.00 and you can upload them and look at them with the ipod photo.

One work day almost down (getting off at 3:15 due to Girl Scout meeting), and only 2 to go!!

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

From Winmo:I know we have talked about our Must-have items when we go on a cruise. I thought maybe we each could list one packing item that maybe someone else had forgotten- to help us all out with our endless packing this week.

My item- the one-time use waterproof cameras for snorkeling and beach play!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

David's
My item is: Don't forget to pack Clothes ( shorts and T-shirt etc.) in your carry on because suit cases may arrive late to cabin. If the weather is cool where you deaprt from you may be wearing long pants and sweater, but when you arrive on ship you may want to change into shorts and T's.
Hope that was helpful to someone.

David-aka-Deege
But on the cruise you
can call me David.

Either I don't have many friends or my friends are calling my bluff in reference to my showing spouses pics. if I don't get memory sticks. I only recieved one so far and that's a 64 memory stick. I told him I could draw more pics. than I can save on that,,lol. Some people are so ungrateful!!!!!! I hope he appreciated my taking it anyway,,,lol. Life is to short not to laugh and enjoy it.

Leaving Wed. am for Pensacola to start our second honeymoon.

Can't wait to get away from these kids fussin and fighting all the time!!

See you all Sat!

Hi to all!

Jenny - So sorry about your great-grandmother. Heaven will truly be a better place!

Trisha and Steve - So sorry about your dog. I truly understand - all the pets I have ever had were (and are) like members of the family.

To all those worried about wrinkles ---- I, like David, send out the dressier outfits, suits, formals to let Disney iron them. It's just 1/2 the price of the dry cleaning and they do a good job. For the other items, t-shirts, shorts, tops, etc. I take along a bottle of Downy Wrinkle Release spray - unpack them, hang up and spray, smooth out the wrinkles and let dry. Does a beautiful job!! Then you're set for the week!!

Hint for the day: Be sure to pack your swimsuit in your day bag. The adult pool is usually less crowded on embarkation day!

Only 2 work days to go!! Today went very fast - hope the next 2 days follow suit.

Hope everyone has a good night = I plan to continue packing!

Karen

This board is slow, slow, slow today. For me at least. And I'm at work. Can't imagine what it would be like at home on the dial-up.

Don't forget: Ibuprofen. Runners-up: 1. Beach bag for going to the pool and excursions. We were so glad we had it last year. 2. Cell phone charger. Forgot it last year and DH was miserable once we got back to the states and unable to call people.

Forget: Walkie-Talkies. Why? Lose ability to "hide". This is vacation, after all.

LOL. I think I'll "forget" to pack them.

TTFN, W.

Jenny, sorry to hear about your Great grandmother. It will be good that you get to go to see your family on Wed. Trish and Steve, that has to be so hard, my dog is older and I dread the day that something happens to him, he is such a part of our family.
Deege, the friend that loaned you the 64 stick...I think you should call him back and tell him hat if he wants to keep his pics from appearing online he should buy more memory!!! Gotta go and start making bribe calls!!-Donna

I just sent out the last update of copies of the FFC list. If you didn't get one and want one, e-mail me. Otherwise....see you on the ship

It is getting so close :cool1: :cool1:
Donna, Virignia, Karen, Frank are you guys out of the way of this storm?

How cute!

Well, I've got most of my stuff packed - like you Jen I am thinking, my clothes (normally on hangers) are folded and in my suitcase - wrinkles!!!! Oh well. If I'm wrinkly, we'll all have to deal.

I had 3 shirts that had stains, and one of them is one of my favorites. Grrrrr! So now we're scrambling to figure out a way to get the stains out. Washed 3 times - haven't dried yet.

On a sadder note, my great-grandmother died last night. The calling hours are Tuesday night and the funeral is Wednesday. I'm not sure I can go becasue of this weeklong class, but of course I'm going to try.

Okay, the professor is here (luckily I have my laptop and wireless internet so I may be back).

Jenny,

I'm so sorry about your DGGM. It doesn't matter how much you are prepared, it is still sad. Do whatever you feel is right for you! Your teacher will understand if you need to miss part of class.

For the stains - I SWEAR by Spray "N" Wash stain stick - it MUST be stick, the liquid doesn't work the same. Start with the garment dry. Rub stain stick (lots) on top of the stain. Wait AT LEAST one hour. This is CRITICAL. Then wash again. It works great!

As for wrinkles - I'm the QUEEN of wrinkles! I always try and tell myself that noone would know this isn't SUPPOSED to be wrinkled! We'll all fit in just fine!

Jen, I hope everyone has been convinced to dress up. We are ready to go and very excited too. So who is dressing up anyway?????

Lisa (10yrann) #3

DD and I are dressing up. I managed to find MATCHING pirate wench costumes. :cool1: They both look great. She just LOVES her costume. I had to hide it so she wouldn't ask to wear it anymore.

We're trying to decide about which internet pkg to get once on board. We'll have our laptop, so could do the wireless, but not sure if we'll need more minutes than are available. The unlimited pkg using the ship's computers sounds like a better deal. Decisions, decisions...

Karen

Karen,

I heard the wireless doesn't work in many parts of the ship, especially in some of the cabins. I can't remember where you're located onboard, but that may be a deciding factor. My DB is bringing his laptop - we'll go for wireless, but only if it works in the room. Otherwise, it's hardly worth it.

Steve had to take our dog to the vet this morning to "send her to Heaven". It was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make but I know she is much better now. At least I don't have to worry about her anymore.

See you all soon.

Trisha and Steve,

I'm so sorry about your dog. Pets are a big part of family in our household - I can only imagine how sad you must feel.

Emily,

I have them! And they were $1 each. I'm bringing the ones that I have already spoken for (1 each for you) along with some extras that I don't need. They are sitting in the "day bag" pile and will be at the 3pm meet Saturday. Of course, you can always bang on the wall between our staterooms and I'll be glad to run on over...

I forgot...something I can't forget....a surge protector (not because I am scared of surges!) I have to plug in my clock, battery charger, curlers, curling iron, hair dryer......maybe I do need surge protection.
Also, I love my crocheted (but in a really cool way  ) purse to carry my book, card, and lipstuff around without having to worry about it.
